There were three different types of creatures in the world of pherkad - ferals, kin, and more unusual creatures called wites.

Their names are kochab and pherkad, and i would have given mama and papa bear those names in this story, except that they don't sound like very good names for bears to me. north star by liljennie i had to keep moving. he could be right behind me.

Of Fire and Clay

This is another story set in my world of pherkad with a tribal theme. this story is clean and deals with the coming of age ritual and creation myth of the wa'jarra, a tribe of black jackals that live in a volcanic wasteland.
