Teddy Bear
It was an unwritten contract between a child and a teddy bear. the child may not be aware of the powers of the teddy bear, but kids in danger had a sense about them to seek out a "friend". and that friend was usually a teddy bear.

Smiling, i looked down at the small teddy bear within my hands. with fur soft as the morning sun's rays, it was sure to make her smile.
