#3 of moon tide within three days, jo-ann was back at home, serving her month long grounding sentence: she wasn't allowed out of the house after 9 pm, at all. but it wasn't so bad, she thought. plenty of time to read, one of her favorite hobbies.

#2 of moon tide her chest heaved with the force of breathing, her boots slammed off the pavement, and her cobalt hair waved out behind her as she ran down the street. everything around her was silent, and it should be, since it's 2 a.m.

#1 of moon tide the town's single church bell began to chime. the sound reached all over the town, as the air was clear, and the streets quiet. the bell rang out eleven times, before coming to a stop.
