Promises Kept

Silver was almost a completely changed fur. Since making his promise to Danny, he became obsessed with school work, ensuring it was always in on time and done to the best of his ability. Silver had always understood the lessons and found them easy; he just never had the drive to do any of the work. Now he strived to work as hard as he can to get as high a grade as possible. More than anything in the world, Silver wanted to meet Danny, and he was going to keep his end of the promise. Nothing could crush his spirits, not even Drew's attempts at making his life a misery affected him now. Even with Drew whispering endless streams of abuse to him through English, Silver blocked him out completely to focus entirely on the work. It wasn't until after lesson when Drew cornered him at his locker that he was forced to listen to him. "Don't you fucking ignore me faggot" growled Drew taking a swipe across Silver's muzzle. Yelping and recoiling against the locker holding his stinging muzzle, Drew grinned down at Silver in a dominating way, his jock friends laughing stupidly beside him. "Get my reports done for English by tomorrow" growled Drew shoving his books into Silver's arms. "Unless you want your fucked up face to look worse than it is" laughed Drew walking off, jocks in tow. Picking himself up and whimpering quietly, Silver wiped the blood from his muzzle and sighed, stowing Drew's books in his bag.

"Are you ok?"

Silver jumped violently at the sound of another's voice. "Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" said a young female rabbit quickly walking up to Silver.

"N-no, it's ok. I'm fine" replied Silver shakily.

"That Drew is such a jerk" the rabbit stated moodily watching him troop off to sports department. Silver stared at this rabbit. He recognised her as a student from his classes but he had never known her name or talked with her before. She has beautiful sand coloured fur with long floppy ears, was a little taller than him wearing a simple blue shirt and black skirt. He couldn't help but notice she was also pretty big chested, her shirt buttons bulging slightly. "And the only reason the school doesn't do anything about him is cuz he's so good at keeping the schools precious trophy room full of awards" said the rabbit now turning her attention back to Silver. Silver could only stare at her; he was still in shock someone was actually talking to him from school. "It's Silver isn't it? I'm Cindy" she said holding out her paw. Pausing for a moment, Silver finally found feeling enough in his arm to shake it, smiling slightly.

"Yeah, it's Silver, and thank you, C-Cindy".

"Great, we have math now don't we? I've never been good with math, do you think you could help me?" replied Cindy pulling him in the direction to their class almost forcibly.

"Umm... Y-yeah, I can help you if you want, but are you sure you want help from me?" stammered Silver trying to keep up with Cindy's long bounce-like strides.

"Oh what, you think I'm gunna judge you judge you because you're gay?" chuckled Cindy. "I'm a lesbian. And don't worry, for the record, you're the cutest little gay guy I've ever met" added Cincy with a giggle.

"Umm... T-t-thanks" stammered Silver, blushing heavily as they turned into the maths room, heading for a double desk at the back. Silver couldn't believe what was happening. Somehow, he had just made a friend. A lesbian at that! Silver finally had someone that could possibly help make his life at school something other than a misery! "Oh here hon, there's still some blood" said Cindy taking out a tissue from her bag and gently wiping Silver's muzzle, causing him to blush even deeper.

"O-oh, t-thanks" replied Silver. Oh all the times to have met her, it had to be when he had blood dripping down his muzzle after a run-in with Drew thought Silver to himself bitterly. Great first impression...

"Still, he will get his comeuppance" said Cindy taking a nail file from her bag and began filing her nails with a self-satisfied grin on her face.

"What do you mean?" asked Silver, his ears perking up in interest.

"Well, nobody else knows this coz Drew made me swear not to tell anyone" said Cindy lowering her voice still filing her nails. "But when him and me were dating, before I knew I liked chicks" she added at the bemused grin on Silver's face, falling to a very quiet whisper so Silver had to lean closer to hear her "He kept asking me to fuck him with a strap-on" whispered Cindy with a knowing nod. "Which makes me think that little miss jock isn't as manly as he thinks he is. Not that gays aren't manly" she added quickly to Silver with a smile.

"Are you serious? He wanted you to actually fuck him with a dildo?" whispered Silver back eyes wide in shock. Making a friend was one thing, but finding out that Drew could possibly be gay too? Could this day get any better?

"Oh yeah, but as I said, he told me to keep my trap shut or he'd staple my ears to the table" replied Cindy not looking in the least bit worried. "But you look like a trustworthy person" she added turning to Silver and winking.

Both of them jumped as the door burst open and the teacher walked in. Both of them pulled out their maths books and set to work. Helping Cindy out was fun, she kept adding playful innuendos and making Silver smile while he helped her understand the maths problems. By the end of the lesson, Silver now knew how lesbians made out in great detail and Cindy could finally understand powers and roots. "I have never been able to understand how powers work before!" exclaimed Cindy at the end of the lesson happily.

"And I had no idea how many different ways lesbians could have sex" chuckled Silver scratching the back of his head as they walked out of school.

"I know, isn't it so much fun having these?" chuckled Cindy bouncing her boobs playfully and obviously to Silver. Chuckling loudly, Silver wished her a pleasant evening before heading off home, feeling the happiest he had ever felt in his life. Walking in, Silver was glad to see a note simply reading "Out" written in his dad's hand writing. He was used to these short notes and it only made him happier to think he wouldn't be spending the evening with his dad. Bounding up the stairs, Silver immediately went straight to his computer and starting booting it up. After signing on, Silver was happy to see Danny was online. Deciding it was safe to use microphone chat as his dad was out, Silver sent a call invite to Dan, hoping he would accept. To his joy he did.

"Hello Silver" came Dan's deep voice from his computer, making Silver's heart melt.

"H-hey Dan" stammered Silver, his voice shying from him. Dan chuckled at his stammering.

"I don't know anyone else as shy and cute as you Silver" giggled Dan, making Silver blush even brighter.

"T-thanks Dan" replied Silver smiling. "Oh, Dan, I made friends with a lesbian!"

There was a pause then the sound of Dan giggling loudly. "That's brilliant Silver! So who is she? What's she like?" asked Dan.

"Well she's a rabbit, her name's Cindy. We met when..." Silver paused. "W-when Drew kinda cornered me and-"

"What did he do?" interrupted Dan sounding serious suddenly.

"I-its nothing, just a scratch" replied Silver trying to sound casual.

"Silver, what did he do?" repeated Dan sounding worried.

"He just clawed my muzzle, its nothing" Silver said dismissively.

"He will get his just deserved one day" Dan said with a sigh. "So tell me about this Cindy"

"I was helping her in maths. She's really friendly, I guess I'd describe her as bubbly" chuckled Silver.

"So you've had a good day then?"

"Brilliant, can't see how it could get any better" replied Silver happily.

"How about news that I have my flight booked to come see you in a week during your school break?" replied Dan. Silver fell completely silent, his jaw falling open. "Silver? Did you here that?"

"Your actually coming? Here? In a week?" Silver asked faintly.

"Yeah, got my flight sorted and a hotel booked for a week about a mile from your house" said Dan cheerfully. Silver blinked. He couldn't believe what he had just heard. Dan was actually paying all this money to visit someone as insignificant as him. "I'll be landing at 8 ish in the evening so by the time I get to the hotel and sign in and stuff, maybe you could come over and share the room with me for the night so we can finally meet" said Dan unable to hide the excitement in his voice.

"I would love that" replied Silver weakly again, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Awww, don't cry hunny" replied Dan chuckling.

"I-I'm not crying" said Silver wiping the tears away and smiling weakly.

"You are, I can tell by your voice Silver" chuckled Dan. "Now, I have to finalise my flight details and start packing so it's not all a mad rush. Take care Silver, I'll see you in a week. Oh, and quickly check my art page, I left you a little something" he added with another chuckle.

"Ok, bye Dan, I'll see you soon, and I will" whispered Silver.

Quickly bringing up Danny's art webpage, he clicked to recent works and brought up Dan's latest drawing. Dan favoured drawing in tribal art, and this one was two canines entwined together affectionately. Looking at them closer, Dan noticed that one of the canines looked unmistakeably like a German Shepard, the other a Husky. Tearing up again, Silver added it to his favourites before lying down on his bed. He had only had one wish in the world and that was to meet Silver; that one was about to come true. Dan was going to keep his promise, as he had kept his. Wiping his eyes again, Silver grabbed the book he had borrowed from the library and turned to the page he had read up to, thinking of being with Dan while reading the rest of his fantasy book, completely forgetting about Drew's warning and his work.
