Ray the Fox's Revengeance
The long awaited tale of Ray's revenge. (Ray is not a nice person.)
I got two more almost finished story drafts so hopefully I will get those out soon. As always, please vote and comment. I love getting criticism and feedback.
"We're going to make him regret what he did to me," says Ray the Fox. He looks up at the intimidating scar covered Philthy the Polar Bear. Philthy replies, "I'm down for whatever as long as you pay me." Ray has been saving his meager tip money for weeks while biding his time. Ray asks, "Are you sure you will do this for me?" Philthy answers, "This isn't my first rodeo. I'm a professional." Philthy checks his utility vest and announces, "I'm ready when you are."
They head out the petting zoo exit and walk down the street a few blocks. They finally reach a large old van. Philthy says, "If we get pulled over, it's every man for himself." Philthy uses a front paw to pull open the rusty back door. He climbs inside the gutted van and the suspension groans. All the seats including the front are missing. Ray looks around and asks, "How do you even drive this?" Philthy sits on the floor in front of the steering wheel and demonstrates by reaching his back leg to the pedals. Philthy jokes, "I used to be a Russian circus bear." Ray is nervous as Philthy sticks a claw into the broken ignition and twists.
The old van sputters to life after a few tries. Philthy looks over at Ray and says, "Still time to back out of your revenge scheme." Ray says, "We have to do this." Philthy uses his front paw to pull the shifter into drive and pulls out of the alley. Ray stands up against the dash to watch where they are going. He's surprised Philthy is doing such a good job of driving the van with his paws. The long ride is quiet as Ray listens to the road noises. The radio is missing along with a lot of other parts. The sun finishes setting and Philthy relaxes about anyone being able to see a polar bear driving a van.
Philthy drives by their destination as Ray looks out the passenger side window. Ray exclaims, "We're here!" Philthy drives further down the country road and pulls the van into a discrete spot. Philthy holds out some child sized socks and uses a claw from each paw to hold it open while Ray sticks his foot paws into each one. Ray asks, "Is this necessary?" Philthy answers, "If they find fox prints everywhere. Who do you think is the first person they will be looking for?" Ray nods at Philthy's wisdom.
They cut through a wooded area towards the house. Ray walks funny at the weight on his paws as he gets used to the socks. They reach his old childhood home and Ray says, "Dad usually gets home around eight." Philthy smiles and says, "That leaves us the perfect amount of time to loot the place first." The backdoor is a trivial obstacle to the giant bear. He leans against it and it buckles with ease. Ray sniffs around at his former home. Philthy says, "Breaking and entering is so much more fun with natural night vision."
The house is quiet as Ray looks around. Philthy sits in the kitchen as Ray brings him valuable things to stuff into his vest's pockets. Ray comes out of the back room carrying a holstered pistol in his mouth. Philthy asks, "How many more does he own?" Ray tucks the gun into Philthy's vest and replies, "The rest are in the gun safe, but this is the one he usually carries with him." Philthy replies, "Good. I don't want him attempting to take me down with a peashooter." Ray zips the pocket closed and says, "That should be everything." Philthy stands up and they head for the van.
At the van, Philthy pulls off his utility vest and says, "We could just go home now. This was a pretty good haul." Ray says, "No. Things are replaceable. I want him to remember this." Philthy picks up a jerry can of gasoline in his mouth and walks back to the house in just his fur. Ray follows behind holding a road flare in his mouth. Ray points to the electric meter and Philthy bashes it with a paw. Sparks fly as the electricity goes out. They wait in Ray's old bedroom. Ray looks around his room and decides that anyone who would disown their son and leave him to fend for himself in the wild, deserves what he's about to do to him.
After half an hour, a truck can be heard pulling up in front of the dark house. A lone man gets out of the truck and curses at seeing the electricity is out. He unlocks the front door and fumbles around the dark living room flipping switches in vain. Philthy takes that as his queue to make his entrance and charges the man. The man is knocked down and screams while throwing punches at Philthy from the floor. Philthy lets out a loud roar that shakes the house. Ray uses his night vision to enjoy the scene of Philthy assaulting his asshole father.
Ripping at the man's clothes with his teeth, Philthy flips the father on his chest. Placing a heavy paw on the man's back, Philthy pins him to the living room floor. Ripping the shirt away with his claws, Philthy breathes heavily on the man's back and says, "I've always been curious what human flesh tastes like." Ray watches in fascination as his father flails in panic. Philthy grabs the human's right arm in his mouth and starts to squeeze. The humerus bone snaps as Philthy's teeth tear through the flesh. The massive bear severs the arm and pulls it away with a spray of blood. Philthy's eyes glow in the darkness as he looks up at Ray in exhilaration.
Ray looks at his screaming father and feels sudden regret at having Philthy do that. Blood covers Philthy as he chews on the severed arm. It falls to the floor with a thud. Swallowing the mouthful, Philthy says, "It tastes better than I imagined." The pool of blood grows on the carpet and Ray motions for Philthy to leave. Philthy releases the man and whispers, "Now run for your life." Ray watches his father clutch his stump and crawl blindly in the dark towards the front door. Ray thinks, 'He'll probably survive if he puts a tourniquet around it.'
Going back to Ray's room, Philthy presses his claws to the bottom of the plastic jerry can. It starts leaking fuel as Philthy swings it around the room. He walks backward from the room down the hall dowsing everything. He swings the can in the living room and into the kitchen. The can is empty by the time he reaches the back door. Philthy exits to see Ray holding the road flare in his mouth. Philthy stands well away from Ray as the fox holds the cap under a sock covered front paw. Ray swings his head a few times to get it lit. After the forth try, the road flare ignites.
The dark night is lit up by the flare and Ray swings his head to toss the flare inside. It rolls across the floor before igniting the gasoline. Philthy says, "Throw the cap in too." Ray is glad Philthy thought ahead and uses his teeth to throw the flare cap into the house to get burned up with the rest of the evidence.
Philthy quickly walks across the field as Ray keeps looking back at the house being consumed by the blaze. A shiver runs down Ray's spine as he hears his father's anguished screams echo through the quiet night. Philthy makes a detour into a small pond to wash the gasoline and blood off. The bear dives into the water and the moonlight reflects a reddish sheen on the surface. Philthy doesn't hurry since the police response is at least 15 minutes this far out from the city. Ray nervously looks around expecting to hear sirens any second.
Eyes gleam from the tall grass and watch the house light up the night. Ray sees the eyes and as the fire grows, he recognizes the eyes belonging to a vixen. Ray asks, "Leila?" The fox turns at hearing her name. She sees a fellow fox and springs out of the tall grass towards Ray. Philthy sees the fox and says, "Fuuuuuuck." Ray quickly says, "No it's okay. She's a feral." The vixen sniffs him and Ray asks, "Leila, how are you still alive? My father said the first thing he would do after he left me on the side of the road was to kill you." Ray looks at the burning house in panic and says, "That's the reason we ripped off his arm! It was because I felt like I lost a part of myself that day."
Philthy climbs out of the pond and says, "Jesus Christ, now I'm sure your father didn't leave you on the side of the road only for being a fox. You sure as shit didn't mention you were fucking a feral when you were telling everyone your sob story." Ray replies, "I love her, but we haven't taken our relationship that far." With a shake, Philthy flings the water off and says, "What's done is done. Bring your new feral fuck toy along or stay with her out here." Leila nips playfully at the sock around Ray's paw.
Ray coerces Leila into following him. She walks with the fox she hasn't seen in a while and rubs against him playfully as they continue back to the van. Philthy opens the van's back doors and climbs in. He shuts one side of the double door and looks down at Ray to say, "Now's your choice. I'm leaving in thirty seconds." Philthy starts the van and it spooks Leila. Ray hops into the van and looks at the skittish vixen, "Leila, I need you to come with me." She looks at him apprehensively and Ray tears up, "I would have came back for you if I knew you were still alive! Please! You have to get in the van with me." Leila can tell Ray is emotionally distraught. She looks up at him as Ray pleads, "I can't stay here with you after what we just did to my father. Please get in the van!" Philthy puts the van in gear and yells, "Close the fucking door."
Ray can hardly breathe as tears stream down his muzzle. "Leila please!" He croaks out. She places her paws on the bumper and licks the tears off him. Ray bites her nape and pulls her into the van. Leila yelps in panic as the van starts rolling down the road. Philthy jerks the steering wheel then slams the brake to swing the backdoor closed. Leila yelps at being trapped in a moving cage with Ray and Philthy. Ray talk soothingly and licks at her to try to calm her down.
The van drives in the opposite direction from the fire as a firetruck screams past them. Philthy says, "Easy peasy. This sort of thing happens all the time in the country." Ray replies, "I've never heard of this happening before." Philthy replies, "Maybe because the police don't come to question you everytime someone gets attacked by an unidentified large predator." Ray panics, "The police are going to come question you?" Philthy glances away from the road and says, "We are a bit far from home. They will only question any registered Non-Ferals within a dozen miles."
Ray sits beside the cowering Leila. He wishes he would have known. Reflecting on removing his father's dominant arm, Ray feels terrible the entire ride home. They park the van and Philthy puts on the utility vest. It clinks with all the loot. Philthy points to a pocket and says, "I think I have a leash in here." He lowers himself down and Ray unzips the pocket with his mouth. He pulls out the leash with his teeth. Ray carefully makes a slipknot with the hand loop and gently places it around Leila's neck.
Philthy opens the back door to the van and says, "What the fuck you gonna do with a feral at the petting zoo? She's gonna end up killing someone when she gets hungry." Ray replies, "Then I will have to make sure she is well fed." Ray holds the leash in his mouth as he leads Leila towards the employee entrance. He swipes his microchip and coaches her inside the locker room. Philthy follows behind and motivates her to stay close to Ray. Leila looks around wildly at all the new sights and smells.
Philthy distracts the lone attendant. He shows his teeth and asks, "I ate a really rare steak. Do I have any on me?" Old Man Paul, the park attendant, shakes his head no and reaches to undress Philthy. The polar bear quickly says, "I did a little shopping while I was out and have a lot of stuff in my pockets. I need to put everything away in the maintenance building before I get undressed for the night." Paul nods and sits down with his crossword puzzle book to wait for bathing and dressing services to end for the night.
Catching up to Ray, Philthy leads him into his room in the maintenance building. Ray looks around at the room full of tools with a mattress in the corner. Philthy says, "With the cash you gave me and the stuff I stole, we are just about even." Ray lets go of Leila's leash as she sniffs around the room. Philthy flips open a tool chest and starts pulling out things from his pockets. Ray sees the gun and asks, "What are you going to do with that?" Philthy replies, "I dunno, probably sell it." Ray asks, "Doesn't it have serial numbers and stuff." Philthy gestures broadly around the room full of tools with one paw and says, "Not for long."
Leila has gotten over her initial fear of Philthy and sniffs at the gun in his paw. Philthy sets it in the bottom of the empty tool box and places a tablet computer next to it. He reaches into the other side of the vest and smiles as his paw wraps around a liquor bottle. He pulls out the half full bottles carefully and opens a tool cabinet to line them up with his own bottles.
Philthy pats his vest, checking for anything he missed. He pulls out a tiny wooden fox figurine and asks, "Why did you steal this?" Ray answers, "Sentimental value. May I have that back?" Philthy shakes his head no and says, "Maybe I'll give it back to you after you figure out what to do with the other fox you stole today." Ray looks at Leila walking around exploring the room. Philthy gently places the fox next to the gun and flips the lid closed. He slides the tool box under a work table.
Ray is unsure what to do with Leila as Philthy heads back to the locker room to shampoo out any traces of blood and gasoline from his body. Ray follows Philthy and asks, "Can you watch Leila for a minute while I go in to get my collar taken off?" Placing a heavy paw on the leash, Philthy nods and waits. Ray walks into the locker room and sneaks by the desk. He circles around as if he just came in the entrance. "Hey Paul!" Ray spouts a little too nervously. Paul looks up from his book and says, "Evening Ray." Paul unbuckles Ray's collar and swaps it with the chastity device on Ray's hook.
Ray looks at the device with shame. A few weeks ago, Park Director Swanson started cracking down on all the sex at the petting zoo. Ray was unlucky enough to draw Swanson's wrath because Swanson caught him knotted to Popcorn the Binturong on his very first day here. Now Ray has to wear the device at all times when he was at the petting zoo. Paul wraps a ring around Ray's balls and inserts the sheath lock. Ray listens to the familiar click as the device is locked into place. He quickly exit's the locker room and returns to Leila.
Philthy says, "I would have figured you would want to fuck your bitch before you went back to the chastity squad." Ray says, "Female foxes are vixens. Please don't call Leila a bitch." Philthy hands over the leash and says, "Good luck with your girlfriend. Tomorrow, meet me in the cafeteria to watch the morning news."
Ray grabs the leash and pulls her along to his room in the dorms. He quickly pulls her into the room and she growls when she sees Ray's roommate Thomas the African Wild Dog. Thomas looks up from the small tv he is watching and says with a smile, "Well hello there. I didn't know you're into some kinky leash play?" Ray sees his chance and says, "Yeah, this is Leila, we're doing a thing where she pretends to be a feral. You just have to let her sniff you for a bit so she calms down." Thomas says, "Sniff away. I don't mind."
Ray pulls Leila over to Thomas and says, "This is Thomas. He's our friend." Ray makes a show of sniffing Thomas to show he's no threat. Thomas spreads his legs to show off a cock cage of his own. Leila sniffs at it and Ray is surprised how quickly she changes her opinion of Thomas.
Ray lays on his dog bed and says, "Sweety, let's just lay down together for a bit. It's been a long day." Leila keeps sniffing at Thomas as Ray pulls the leash over, one mouthful at a time. He places a paw on her back and forces her to lay down with him. She enjoys being so close to Ray and nuzzles him affectionately. Thomas turns off the TV and says, "I should go to sleep too." Ray falls asleep quickly after an emotionally exhausting evening.
The next morning at the hospital, Ray's father lays in a hospital bed doped up on painkillers. Detective Brauner sits on the floor at the end of his bed and asks, "Mr Garcia, I need you to tell me everything you can about the assailant. The more details you give us the faster we can narrow down the suspect list." Mr Garcia says, "They send a fucking dumpy panda to do police work. I want to talk to the human in charge!" Brauner is used to the discrimination and replies, "Everyone else is out searching the scene for clues. You're stuck with me for the moment." Mr Garcia says, "It was an abomination just like you are!" Brauner replies, "Okay that's a start. Did you see any fur colors or patterns?"
With anger, Mr Garcia shakes his head no. Brauner continues his questions, "Did they have long fur or short fur?" Mr Garcia spits back, "I didn't have a chance to pet him to find out while he was chewing off my fucking arm!" Brauner asks, "You said a he? That helps narrow down the suspect list. See? You are already helping me with little details like that." Mr Garcia is annoyed by the Panda's continually helpful tone. Brauner asks, "How did you know it was a male?" Mr Garcia answers, "It spoke to me." Brauner asks, "What did he say?"
Garcia tries to think and says, "He said he was curious what humans taste like." Brauner frowns as he tries to connect the dots. Would a monster attack for no reason other than to taste human flesh? The burning of the house was probably to hide the forensic evidence. Brauner asks, "How did you get away?" Mr Garcia looks at the bandaged stump of his right arm and says, "He told me to run for my life while he was eating my arm." Brauner replies, "That's very fortunate. He could have easily killed you if he wanted to. Do you know of anyone who would want to hurt you?" Mr Garcia shakes his head no.
Brauner reaches a paw up to adjust the short purple clip on tie hanging from his black police collar and says, "Thank you for soldiering through to answer my questions. I'll be in touch for a follow up interview after we gather more evidence from the scene."
Standing up from his seat on the floor, Brauner lumbers out of the hospital room and stops to use a claw to tap buttons on the device strapped to his wrist. He summons his chaufer to meet him out front. Walking down the halls, a 12 year old girl sees him and reaches a hand out to pet his side. Brauner is used to children touching him without permission. He stops and smiles at the child. He looks around for the girl's parents. Brauner asks, "You here for a sick relative?" The child nods as she continues to pet Brauner's side. The child says, "The doctor said my dad will have to get transformed if he wants to get better, but my dad said your kind are soulless abominations."
Brauner is tired of hearing that word today. He sighs and replies, "It's not as bad as you're told. I still have a soul and go to church every sunday." The child's eyes light up and she says, "They don't let your kind in my church." Brauner brushes past the kid while saying. "Then you're not going to the right one."
A woman comes around the corner and apologizes for the girl. She sees the badge on Brauner's collar and asks, "Are you the one they sent to talk to my ex-husband?" Brauner nods, "Miss Segovia I presume?" She replies, "Yes. How close are you to find the monster who did this?" Brauner answers truthfully, "The fire covered the culprits tracks. We'll know more as they search the area. Do you have any clue who would want to hurt him?"
Miss Segovia answers, "Dominic disowned our oldest son, Ray, when he had the ridiculous idea to get transformed. I assumed Ray would make his way to live with his sister and I, but no one has seen him since that day. Ray must hate his father." Brauner asks, "What animal did he get changed into?" Miss Segovia answers, "He's just a Fox. He couldn't do this could he?" Brauner answers, "I'll look into it. Goodbye Miss Segovia." The child watches Brauner's cute panda tail swish as he walks off.
Thinking about the daughter getting brainwashed puts Brauner in a bad mood. He wishes Mr Garcia's attack didn't happen. Crimes like that only increase discrimination against Non-Feral Animals like him.
Ray wakes up alone in his room at the petting zoo. He looks around for a moment before the panic of what happened last night hits him. He doesn't see Leila anywhere. Ray runs out of his room sniffing around for her in the common room. Ray asks Tyler the Tapir, "Hey, did you see a fox?" Tyler looks at Ray and asks, "Yeah, that wasn't you? I thought it was a little weird that he was leading you around by a leash. Who was that?" Ray answers, "It's complicated. Which way did they go?" Tyler says, "Same place everyone goes first thing in the morning. The cafeteria." Ray bolts out the door and runs across the petting zoo.
Thomas the African Wild Dog wasn't stupid. He knew the moment he saw Leila that she was a feral. He played along because he wanted to know what Ray's angle was. At the cafeteria Thomas orders two breakfasts. Mrs Larson doesn't even look twice at the pair as she sets down the food. Leila sees the bowl of food and quickly gets the picture as Thomas starts eating. She digs in and figures she could enjoy the strange new place with free food. Ray comes running in the door in a panic.
Ray walks up to the table and says, "There you are sweetie. I got scared when you weren't there when I woke up." Leila ignores him as she eats. Thomas smiles and says, "Leila looked so hungry, so we let you sleep." Ray looks around nervously that Leila wasn't getting freaked out by the proximity to so many other animals.
Philthy looks over at Ray talking to Thomas and Leila. He waves a paw to Ray and points a claw to the TV as the news starts. Ray tries to control his breathing as the opening previews shows a clip of his burned out house. The top story is the assault and arson. Ray gives a sigh of relief that they don't have any witnesses or even a description of what kind of animal was responsible.
Thomas sees Ray watching the TV intensely and asks, "You know that guy or something?" Ray replies, "Yeah, that's my Father." Thomas exclaims "Holy shit dude! I knew he was an asshole but who did he piss off?" Ray replies, "A lot of animals. Did I ever tell you about how he used to organize protests outside of transformation clinics." Thomas replies, "Woah! If your father is that much of a psycho, why would you go and get transformed?"
Ray lowers his ears and says, "I thought if I got transformed he could see first hand that Non-Feral Animals aren't bad people." Leila starts eating out of Thomas's bowl as they talk.
Looking back at the TV, Thomas says, "I don't think he'll ever change his mind about us now." Ray coldly says, "I was wrong in thinking anything ever would." Thomas changes the subject, "What about your new girlfriend? How long is she planning on sticking around?" Ray answers, "I dunno. We're just winging it right now. You don't mind another room mate do you?" Thomas says with a knowing smile, "I don't mind. I kind of want to see how this is going to play out." Ray looks wide eyed at Thomas. Thomas taps his nose and says, "You're not the first to try to sneak a feral into the zoo."
The days pass as Ray waits for the inevitable visit from someone to ask him about his father. He trains Leila to live with him at the petting zoo. Park Director Swanson either didn't notice or didn't care about the surplus fox. Leila puts a lot of trust in Ray to keep her safe and usually followed his lead in most situations. She stuck by his side without the leash. Leila was happy getting regular meals without the hassle of hunting for them.
The other employees were cautious around Leila and it became an inside joke to cover for Ray's new feral girlfriend.
A week later, Detective Brauner the Panda comes walking through the park. He spots a pair of foxes and waddles over. Ray sees the Panda wearing a police badge on it's collar and tries to remember that he wasn't a suspect. The panda was going to ask him the standard questions.
Brauner approaches the foxes and asks, "I'm looking for Ray Garcia." With a nod Ray replies, "That's me." Brauner says, "Mr Garcia, you were very hard to track down. My name is Detective Brauner. Were you aware that your father was mauled a few days ago?" Ray answers truthfully, "Yeah. It's on the news every day." Brauner continues, "I know your father is very vocal about his dissapproval of the NFA program. Do you have any idea who would want to maim him?" Ray answers vaguely, "No. He used to get lots of hatemail."
Brauner informs Ray, "With the fire destroying the house, any chance of combing through the recent hatemail for clues is gone." Ray nods and says, "Oh yeah." Ray looks at Leila and then back at Brauner. Ray asks, "Is my father going to be okay?" Brauner answers, "He seems happy to be a victim. He was booking interviews from his hospital bed. Whoever did this to him is only helping his crusade against our kind." Ray gives a sullen look.
Leila gets bored and sniffs at Brauner. The panda sniffs back and recognizes her smell from the crime scene. He asks, "Where were you on the night of the mauling?" The vixen looks at him blankly and Ray quickly says, "She's a feral." Brauner asks, "How did her scent get all over the crime scene?" Ray starts to fidget at the mention of Leila.
Trying to keep a even voice, Ray answers, "Leila used to live in our backyard. I went to see the damage to the house and brought her here." Brauner states, "Keeping a wild animal as a pet is dangerous. Especially at a Petting Zoo." Ray says, "She's only half wild. I used to feed her all the time. She trusts me." Brauner smells Ray's nervousness about something, but the story was plausible enough for now.
Brauner says, "Thank you for your time Mr Garcia. I'll leave my card at the front desk. I'll be in contact if I have any more questions." Ray waits for Brauner to turn his back before he lets out a breath of relief. The conversation plays on repeat in Ray's head as he makes sure he didn't say anything incriminating. Brauner spitballs theories involving Ray recruiting someone at the petting zoo to attack his father. The fox had reason enough to hate his father and also had access to several large predators of morally questionable alignment.
At the front desk of the office, Brauner looks at the roster of animals that work at the zoo. He makes a mental note of Franklin the Liger, Troy the Moonbear, and the obvious accomplice Philthy the Polar Bear. It was diligent police work to question the three who were the most likely suspects if Ray the Fox had recruited someone he worked with. Brauner walks around the petting zoo looking for them.
Detective Brauner sees Troy playing with a white wolf pup. The bear throws the ball and the wolf chases after it. Brauner sits down beside Troy and says, "Good afternoon." In his usual childish way, Troy's eye's light up at seeing a animal he's never met before. Brauner takes the ball and continues to throw it as he chats with Troy. Troy says, "Hi! I'm Troy the Moonbear. You can tell because of the mark on my chest." Troy points a paw at the stripe of white fur on his chest. Brauner looks at it and then up at Troy to say, "I'm Detective Brauner, I'm here to investigate the mauling of Ray Garcia's father. Would you know anything about that?"
Troy quickly shakes his head no and then asks, "Ray's last name is Garcia? Is he a beaner fox?" Brauner answers, "After becoming an NFA, you renounce the claim to your former ethnicity." Troy takes a sharp breath and asks, "I'm not white anymore?" Brauner nods. Troy leans in and whispers, "Does that mean I can say the N-word?" Brauner sputters at the bear's unexpected jump in logic.
Quickly recovering, Brauner harshly says, "NO!" Troy sheepishly looks at Ivan the white wolf as he holds the ball in his mouth waiting for one of them to throw it. Brauner leans over to sniff Troy's scent. The body language indicated that Troy wasn't nervous talking to a detective and the scent didn't match anything from the surrounding crime scene. Brauner says, "Thank you for your time. Have you seen Franklin or Philthy around?"
Ivan is happy to help and drops the ball to say, "I saw Franklin talking with Tina by the pond." Troy says, "Philthy always hangs out in the maintenance building, when he's not busy." Brauner replies, "Thank you again." The Panda decides that he would talk with Franklin the Liger before heading to the maintenance building to chat with the former neo-nazi polar bear.
Brauner has a quick talk with Franklin and the Liger comes up free of suspicion. That just leaves Philthy. Brauner knows Philthy from having been sent here to question him on multiple occasions.
Pushing through the employee only door of the maintenance building, Brauner walks down the hall looking into rooms. Brauner comes to a stop in the doorway of a lounge. The polar bear is laying on his back on a large couch watching TV. Philthy looks over to the familiar Detective. Brauner steps into the room and asks, "Philthy, have you been staying out of trouble?" Philthy sniffs the air and says, "Fuck you. Come back with a warrant."
Brauner asks, "Can you at least lie to me and say yes?" Philthy snarks, "I don't have anything to say to a panda shaped pig." Brauner bluffs, "Your friend Ray sure had a lot to say about you." Philthy's eyes go wide for a moment before realizing Brauner is bluffing. Philthy reaches a paw down to his balls and says, "If you want a confession for something out of me. You're gonna have to suck it out this dick."
Walking across the room, Brauner examines Philthy's genitals. He takes a deep breath to smell the polar bears scent. Philthy smelled like gasoline, harsh industrial chemicals, and burnt oil. He blows his warm breath across Philthy's genitals. Brauner states, "It wouldn't be the most orthodox way to get a confession, but all I care about is putting the criminals behind bars." Philthy feints ignorance and asks, "What kind of crime you want me to confess to for this blowjob?"
Brauner starts small, "I got a old lady that says a polar bear ate all her klondike bars." Philthy says, "That sounds like it's her own fault for leaving them in a freezer in an unlocked garage." Philthy rubs his sheath and asks, "Now about that blowjob?" Brauner states, "She had dementia. Turns out she was watching a commercial."
Pulling back from Philthy, Brauner says, "Now let's talk about what else you have been eating." Philthy says, "I found this deli that saves me the end caps of the delimeat loaves. They give me a whole bag of them if I let the owner's daughter ride around on me once a week." Brauner asks, "I was thinking of something a little more spicy. You eat any mexican lately?" Brauner stares at Philthy's scar covered face for clues. Considering the question, Philthy cooly answers, "I tend to stay away from spicy food. If I wanted my butthole to burn, I would let you fuck me without lube."
Brauner has a gut feeling Philthy was involved but didn't have any evidence to back it up. Brauner says, "Cut the shit! I know you mauled that man." Philthy replies, "You can't prove anything." Brauner says, "I have to give you credit though. You did managed to cover your ass. There were no clear pawprints found, no scraps of fur, or even a lingering smell." Philthy grins and replies, "Yeah, because I didn't do anything!" Brauner threatens, "I will eventually find something linking you to the crime scene. We won't even give you the chance to come quietly. It will just be the pop of a tranq rifle and you'll wake up in your own personal exhibit at the prison." Brauner exits the room in anger.
Philthy smiles in relief that the case has already gone cold. Hopefully, Brauner will give up and move on to the next case.
