The Wedding of Chikorita and Mudkip!!! :D
Imported from SF2 with no description.
Mudkip's heart fluttered anxiously as the wedding bells began to play. He looked out from behind the curtain at the beautifully decorated garden, at the path leading up to the gazebo where the Famous Pokémon Breeder and Doctor Brock stood waiting to give the vows.
Mudkip liked Chikorita, he really did, regardless of how... strange their relationship had got off to from the start, but as a first-evolution Pokemon, what did he know about the commitments of marriage? He knew that evolution did not equal maturity, and he was more than certainly mature enough to make that choice... but he wasn't sure if he was ready. How could anyone ever truly be ready when you were...?
But Jennifer their trainer was standing there expectantly, waiting for her Pokémon to make their way to the center, and he didn't know if he could...
"Chika," came a calming voice beside him, and he looked over as Chikorita, dressed in a bright flowing pokédress, rested a gentle vine on his shoulder.
Mudkip's beating heart began to relax, he was marrying Chikorita here, not for Jennifer or for Brock or for anyone else, but for his favorite Chikorita alone.
"Chika?" Chikorita asked.
Mudkip took a deep breath, his resolve strengthening. He straightened the tie of his pokésuit.
"Kip," he said, giving her a bashful grin, Let's do this.
So him and Chikorita made their way out from behind the curtain, walking along the path of flowers that had been set out for them, Chikorita with more than an enthusiastic beat to her step, after all this time, she was finally doing it, she was finally celebrating a marriage to Mudkip!
They stepped up to the gazebo, Doctor Brock looking gently down on them with his ever-closed eyes (how did he do that?), and Mudkip once again felt himself hesitating.
"Don't be nervous," Brock said gently, lowering himself closer to Mudkip's level, "making a commitment can be scary, trust me, I know," he touched the ring on his other finger and fiddled it gently, "But I can see you've chosen a good one."
"Chika!" Chikorita affirmed proudly.
Mudkip turned to look at Chikorita, felt the confidence returning to him.
"Kip," he smiled.
Ready, Brock took his place between them at the center of the gazebo steps, and read the words of ceremony.
"Do you, Chikorita, accept Mudkip as your lifelong mate?" Brock asked.
"Chi-KA!" Chikorita announced joyfully.
"And Mudkip, do you take Chikorita as yours?"
Mudkip looked over at Chikorita and felt his heart warming as all the uncertainty washed away, "Kip."
"Then I now announce you two a couple," Brock announced joyously.
"CHIKA!" Chikorita cried overwhelmed, throwing herself at Mudkip and knocking the two of them tumbling the ground, rubbing her face all against his, pecking his face all over. THIS WAS THE BEST DAY OF HER LIFE! MUDKIP AND CHIKORITA 4EVER!!!! She was so excited she could almost pee! She totally would when she got the chance.
But then she stopped herself, looking down at Mudkip, his face burning bright red, completely flustered. Chikorita felt herself flustering at the awareness of her own suddenness. Was she being too sudden?
But then Mudkip's face lit up into a bashful smile.
"Kip." He confirmed, releasing his paws from a place he just now realized he was self-consciously covering. She already knew him way too well (from the moment they'd met actually, was he really that obvious?); No more reason to hold it back.
Chikorita glanced up around at the crowd of Pokécenter people and their Pokémon, and grabbed the corner of a curtain with her vine whip, pulling it around them and closing them off alone inside the gazebo. Then she looked slyly down at Mudkip. Mudkip swallowed, realizing he was in no way prepared for what he had agreed to.
Apparently Chikorita's pokédress proved accommodating enough, but not so much Mudkip's, for a moment later, the pants of his pokésuit came flying out from behind the curtain and into the garden.
Oh, why not the rest of it as well.
Just the way Chikorita liked him.
As things that happened behind that curtain began to happen, Brock looked up at the crowd. "We should probably give them some alone time."
Jennifer just looked shocked in the direction of the gazebo as hysteric pokésounds emitted from within.
But suddenly, a bright light lit up, the silhouette of a Chikorita illuminating from behind the curtain. Mudkip suddenly let out a startled exclamation.
"Chikorita is beginning to evolve!" Brock said in awe.
Chikorita's silhouette began to change - to grow - and then a blast, blowing the curtain aside, her pokédress totally obliterating.
"Bay!" Bayleef declared pridefully.
Mudkip just lay there on his back, staring up at his upgraded S.O., totally speechless.
Bayleef stood, looking down at Mudkip, suddenly feeling just a little bit flustered by her appearance.
"Bay," Bayleef said sheepishly. It's me.
And on their wedding day of all days...
Mudkip looked at Bayleef, then the crowd. It suddenly occurred to him that it was now Bayleef who was probably feeling uncertain about their situation.
"Kip," Mudkip said comfortingly.
Then he stood up and looked at the crowd, gave them a look.
And then pulled the curtain back around the gazébo.
(Probably a mistake, he wasn't ready for a chikorita, there was no way he could handle a Bayleef.)
Brock looked at Jennifer and rested a hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry about it, they'll get along fine."
As he began to walk away, Jennifer called after him.
"Thank you for agreeing to host this."
Brock looked back at her, "No problem, I was in the area, on the way to see some old friends."
And with that, Brock headed back for the Pokémon Center.
The excitement over for everyone but the two lovémons, the crowd from the Pokémon Center began to disperse.
When Mudkip finally rolled out from under the gazebo curtain, he was giggling hysterically. Bayleef followed him out, a little less certain in herself.
"Leef?" She asked uncertainly, her whole posture looking apologetic.
Mudkip gained control over his laughter and looked back at her affectionately.
"Kip, Mudkip," He said reassuringly, Hey. Even though you evolved and I didn't... He glanced down at himself feeling a bit self-conscious at his lack of skill in that area but anyhow, ...Today I decided to marry you, not just a chikorita, or a bayleef, or even a meganium, but you, and that can't changed whether you've evolved or not.
Bayleef looked down at Mudkip gratefully, but then she lifted her paws and looked at them.
"Bay, BAY-leef," she said. But I'm so BIG now.
Mudkip gave a one paw shrug, and once again gave her his bashful grin, We'll make it work.
Bayleef looked back at the gazebo and realized they already had, once at least. She looked back at Mudkip who still had on that flustered grin, looking at her as he let his face go red. Oh how he had come to adore his Pokémate.
"Bay!" Bayleef announced suddenly, suddenly realizing she was just the right size to sit on him.
Mudkip's eyes went wide in horror.
And so Chikorita chased after Mudkip, trying to sit on him, the two of them laughing together as he tried to get away. Bayleef was soon to learn that if Mudkip turned his pointy cheeks just the right way as she was sitting down, it'd give her a startling surprise in her hidden region, but that just added to the fun and embarrassment.
"Bay!" Bayleef laughed, as she looked down at Mudkip indignantly.
Mudkip just shrugged playfully before scrambling out from under, causing her to give chase again.
"Bayleef!" Bayleef laughed helplessly, I need to pee!
But she was too busy chasing and having fun to stop and go.
Although that would be fun too.
And Jennifer just watched in pure confusion of these two; they just kept getting weirder and weirder.
