Surprisingly enough, the class liked the first draft of the story well enough (even the professor really liked it), and so here's the version i submitted to my final portfolio. also if any of you have gone to tail!

I think he was going to get put into the infantry when he was first drafted, but after a few days in boot camp, the instructors probably thought he was better off away from his "kin." however it happened, he had ended up as a tank loader.
