Keeping my distance, i started to pace around the object, trying to see if i could make out a head, eyes or some other feature that would clue me into exactly what i was looking at.

They could see a long distance since this hill was tall and the land ahead of them gradually sloped downward, and they could make out the trail they were to follow as it weaved in and out of the hills and crags.

Trying my best to look ahead i only was able to make out a moving shape. as it got closer i was able to make out more details like they were male had longish black hair, well muscled and had dark goldy-brown fur.

Daniel could make out the blurred forms of all four of the other lycans which made his heart stop as it dawned on him. they were being chased.

In the dim light he couldn't make out what those markings were chaos moved closer to the fire pit to try to get more light. he held the stick closer to the fire trying to make out the carvings.

It was still too far away to make out any details regarding whether or not it was an enemy tank or a plafe probe, even for his keen eyes. he waits another four minutes before he is able to make out a small object on the back of the tank-like machine.
Insole exploration
The insole of the footwear was so heavily worn that you could make out the exact details of his foot upon it, including the heavy impressions of the toe and ball of his foot.

He could not make out any sound, maybe they were now kissing or something--he heard a thud, yep, they were making out against the wall. the volume of his speaker was high enough to make out anything familiar he could muster.

Square buildings of all sizes and colors ran alongside the roads, and at the far end she could make out a church steeple rising above everything else. cars were zipping around, and people were walking the sidewalks.

Peter couldn't make out a whole lot of details - they probably didn't have any lighting inside this place.
