Chapter Twenty-Three (Wendell)
Stop wendell! he's not dead. the nurse would tell us this, right? right? "wendell, please stop pacing. it's freaking me out." angie says. "no. that's my fiancé in there. if he dies, i'll have nothing left." i say, managing to not yell.
Chapter 1 (Riley)
wendell says. he gets behind todd and wraps his arms around him. "i love this fox." all of a sudden, he picks him up and cradles him in his arms. "put me down, wendell!!" todd playfully exclaims. "no. i don't think i'm going to." wendell says.
Chapter Eighteen (Angie)
wendell says. "why?" tom asks, "isn't it a better idea for us to stick together?" "it is. that's why todd's coming with me." "what're you guys going to do?" i ask.
Chapter 11 (Wendell)
"what's wendell doing here, and why's he wearing your clothes?" "wendell stayed here while you were gone." todd says. "oh. ok." she says. "but, why is he wearing your shirt?"

"well, back in knoxville, there was this cat gang that would tease me and wendell because of our homosexuality." "technically bisexuality." i point out and point at myself.

Chapter Three (Angie)
I think, i get hugged by wendell, todd, and jani all the time. what if he tries to kiss me? bruno pulls away, but keeps me in his arms. after a second, he pulls me in slowly.
Arizona (Wendell)
Bye wendell. i'll see you soon. be careful." she hangs up, then i dial bruno's number. it takes a few tries but he eventually picks up. "wendell?" "yes bruno. it's me."
Chapter 7 (Riley)
I have a text from wendell and one from todd. i read wendell's first. "everything ok?". i text him back saying things are fine. todd's message is something bizarre. "[[email protected]](/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection)".
Chapter Nine (Angie)
When i say that, i can practically hear wendell pi his ears to his head. plus, he doesn't say anything back, but i can still hear him breathe into the phone. " wendell?" "yeah?" "why do you have that depressive tone?"
Chapter 2 (Jo)
wendell and todd went to the kitchen with riley. when the coast is clear, i get up and snack to the wall, just enough so i can hear them in the other room. i motion for mike to stay on the couch. "listen, riley." i heard wendell say.
Chapter 9 (Wendell)
"wendell, let's go." todd is already out the window. "ok." i climb out the window and close it. i grab todd's paw and take the toolbox. "let's go."
