thoom! a powerful impact smashed into the ground somewhere outside what some part of him recognized as a pile of his own clothing. the force of it caused the ground to shake so hard that he stumbled briefly.

thoom. the impact again shook the floor under the little human with enough force that it would have set off car alarms for blocks if there had been any cars around of a comparable size to him.
Doomsayer
Tirrell tuned out their roars, ears flicking hard to a far bassier thoom that seemed to roll through air and ground alike. he took his phone out from his pocket, a casual lean on the balcony railing while he checked the time. not long after nine.
She, Within Herself
Each footstep smashing into the concrete over and over and over, resonant thooms with each footstep... and of course, in the mental image the voice let fly... each footprint they left was bigger than the last.

An alien helping hand.
With a snap, the portal closed behind him, and the dragon moves with thooming footfalls across the island toward the lake. slowly, like in a horror movie, the behemoth moved toward the city, its great wings unfurled.
Dream Big
Every thooming step rocked the foundations of the whole street, rattling tiles from the roofs and even some of the brickwork crumbling from how much weight went into those belly-jostling strides.
