#2 of poetry this was written in the midst of a severe depressive cycle and may not be for everyone. i suffer from depression and have done so since i was thirteen.

It sets my mind to wander...

At first the system seemed stable; it gave no signs of distress as it crossed a thousand cycles, and then fifteen hundred. suddenly, we lost the field mice; three hundred cycles later, mars was a dead rock.

Darkness before me

Well cold and solid i try to escape it but still it beckons before it i stand prostrate and rejected but in its col dark depths i see my life reflected no mortal sin could bear the pain of events in my life dejected again and again i wish to break the cycle
