This was my (rejected) submission for the recent "the rabbit dies first" anthology. i tinkered with it a bit and am posting it today, halloween, because it sorta ended up horror-adjacent when i was writing it.

So i swear i started putting the dates at the tops of these things because i wanted to do a sort of anthology thing with them and just write them in any order, but somehow i ended up writing them all in chronological order.

Fox Confessor Brings The Flood
Originally published in a menageries of heroes, rainfurrest 2015's charity anthology that has sadly gone out of print. a kitsu (fox) bard travels to a remote mountain village and gets an unfriendly welcome.
My Voice to Use
Perhaps this story really will see themselves in an anthology book one day. enjoy. 1 never has a rickety wooden picnic table been as tense as it was in that moment. not that the wood was rotting away in the bright sunlight.
Salvage
This one appears in the anthology "furry trash", available from rabbit valley. warning- this is not a happy story. i hope you still enjoy it though, as odd as that sounds. i was proud of this one.
