_but these eyes are also inquisitors_
_they can see through even the greatest facades and most carefully-hidden truths._
_these eyes are dreamers_
_and they are also my doors_
_and bear the only portals into my mind.

;and lost
unheard, loathing in solitude
remember a time peace
a time when waking from rest seemed blissful
you smiled wider than your heart
wider than their animosity
a heart of painted glass
we leaned on you
a facade
Death, Poem, Suicide, hope
With the facade my shadow within puts on. hatred is normal for me, but love is a mystery shrouded in my lonely mind.

So instead, on this night you sit before the bright screen and type away lies and facades, then finally give up the ghost. removing the mask by posting one fatal post. one you would regret so soon but never deny its existence.
free verse, writing
The clouds get dark, the sunlight begins to fade
still i keep up the facade
the wind begins to pick up, and my nerves begin to scream
i wish you were here to keep me calm
i reach for a hand but it jerks another way, a funny look and some one else walks

He put back the facade,
the one that had
fooled even him.
he threw back his head,
giving one last
determined and
painful cry,
before stepping forth.
for the first time
in his life,
despite the pain
the heartache
the questions...

Now, this cavalcade of excuse-makers and teatotalers
they want to call this farce facade freedom?!
they say that slaughter is the mark of a lower creature--
or yet worse, a demon--
how then are they--we any better?!

He asks to the
wind,
caressing his body,
like a lover of
old,
a sad smile breaking
his old facade.
he tasted love,
again,
and again it was...
tainted.
a lie.
albeit with good
intentions,
a lie
nevertheless.
but...
Free-Form, Poem, Sad, Wolf, deep, nostalgic
A facade is all they'll see.
and so i hide
and wait to end,
with all the pain and sorrow,
my terrible, but only friend.
they try to help,
but i know the truth.
they come to see the pain,
that swallowed the joy of youth.

~ when the sounds of the shower kicked in, the kobold's facade of calm gave way to a sigh of relief as he lept forth to flop out atop the bed.

The great glass facade meant to bring in the light of the world outside always showed another dark and dreary day in the great union, but no one ever seemed to care.
