And now for the first of the "Pre-Grand Finale Marathon", in which new enemies and new friends appear, and it all leads up to the finale and the shocking twist.

Chapter Eight: Something Liquid This Way Comes, Part One

Carson City was on alert, Owlman was seen as defeated. His link to the nanobot's cut off by the Outsiders, the head of the hydra cut and squirming, dead on the ground. Still nanobot blobs roamed the city and the citizens looked out of their windows and into the desert city wondering what walked beneath the streets and in the sewers.

The city officers were held up looking through new missing cases, while the city offices were trying to connect missing cases to the nanobots. The public knew they had become a part of the story, they were now sharing the burden that was overlooked because even with the camp of Riftwalkers nervously looking over the city, the new threat struck close to home.

The Outsiders knew that even with Owlman's defeat, the nanobots would not go gracefully into the night and they knew that if they were to defeat the group and bring some sort of peace to their city they would have to strike the nanobots quickly and prevent them from recovering. The Outsiders might have sliced the head off the hydra but they knew that two heads could pop up just as quickly.

Isaac looked forward; he quickly put his hands up and formed a wave of repulsion as the glob of nanofuild was knocked away from him. Training his eyes down to the ground, he looked as the blob seemingly acted nonchalantly and started to bob back and forth again. Looking back, Isaac saw Finn, the shark sitting against a pile of wooden crates.

“What don't tell me you need help with that." The shark spoke with the slightest slur of a sarcastic comment.

“That's normally my line." Isaac took a moment to take in his surroundings.

A metallic fence was standing to his left and a large building, probably some sort of factory based on the smoke it was giving off, was erected next to them. They were right in the edge of the Carson River, traveling past the gate would have lead someone onto a concrete incline and then right into the slowly traveling waters of the river. If someone wanted to experience urban hell they might canoe down the river.

However, Isaac waited a few seconds, an eastwardly gust shuffled some of the papers and sand around him and he waited for the mutant to make some action or another. Isaac looked at the mutant; this was sort of an experiment to him. He wanted to push the mutant. The shark wished to see how far the mutant might go, how far the beast might go in order to survive.

“How's the mutant?" Finn asked as he waited, the two of them had been at this for a half an hour and seemingly the mutant stayed nonchalant to the situation, only defending itself and moving around with that stupid look, a pile of slime gathered in front of his face looking like a stupid tongue and non-blinking eyes make him look so stupid.

“I think we're getting somewhere." Isaac threw caution to the wind as he wiped his brow of sweat and knocked it on the ground. Removing his jacket, he handed it to Finn and decided to see what might happen if he really tried to hurt it. Putting his hands forward, he concentrated and focused power into his hands, activating his powers. The blob started to shake as Isaac's power activated and suddenly he was pushed around.

Isaac put his hands up into the air and focused as a sphere of pushing formed around the mutant, he pushed back against the mutant hoping to see how far it might go. How far it might be able to go and how far it would go, he needed to see this he needed to know this information and know how the mutants were so good at surviving. They could manage to stay alive and awake during fire, they still moved when they were ripped into little pieces and it seemed that there was a stupid arbitrary limit to how much damage they could take and only then did they dissolve into a million billion pieces.

“Be careful don't squeeze him out, be careful with you powers you need to work with your powers and master then so that you can create even push, it might not matter when your pulling someone in a direction but if you want to precise then you need to be careful like this." Finn said as he noticed the mutant not turning denser but instead nearly starting to squeeze out of his entrapment, if the mutant were self-aware it might be able to push itself through the gap and escape.

“I can do this on my own; I don't need you to tell me how I can use my powers. I am perfectly capable of managing my own gravity and you're just running my concentration." Isaac said with a strained sound to his voice, Finn waited a few seconds and anticipated that he might need to act as back up.

“Just stay behind I can handle this battle, it's only a mutant we've faced hundreds of these and I am sure that I can handle just one, so don't worry about me, I can do this on my own." Isaac said as Finn walked off the crates and at least in Isaac's mind intended to intervene in the battle and ruin his moment.

“Isaac be careful, I am only trying to help you with your technique you need to be careful and pinpoint with your gravity in situations like this, they can liquidly themselves the more pressure you put on and then they might flow through a weak gravity point." Finn said as he tried to train Isaac and help him master his powers, Isaac wasn't be pinpoint, he wasn't acting as careful he looked like he might do something stupid or worse.

“I said shut it, I can focus as much power as I need into my attack!" Isaac yelled, waving his hand back and knocked Finn into the crate. Isaac walked forward over the mutant and placed his hands in a circle around the glob of nanobots. Isaac felt a headache coming on as he pushed more and more mental power into his technique. The mutant started to shrink and Isaac watched as it started to shake, and seemingly make more erratic movements. Finn watched with cautious confusion at the wonderful strange thing happening before him.

And then Isaac was knocked back, landing on the ground the mutant started to shine yellow as it turned into its base, a yellow liquid. That was for that second, instead the liquid started to change from yellow into neon green, Finn's eyes widened and the mutant started to grow. Finn watched and the mutant started to form again, this time his body started to form a leg and for a second as more and more nanoliquid piled on, the legs starting to turn to metal, it looked like it might look.

And then suddenly with the liquid built up to the leg, it stopped; the transformation it was undertaking stopped. It was out of liquid to syphon up into is body and change it into a full body. Finn looked as the mutant splashed down and changed back into a pale yellow. Metallic pieces formed in its body and it started to rise like bread as it turned back into the mutant.

“I did it, the mutant evolved itself; the nanobots recognized energy and unlocked the Generation One API, if we can get more of them we can see the full extent of how far down the rabbit hole this goes, we might be able to push them into the second generation." Isaac said excited as he looked at the stupid mutant again, he looked at it and smiled. Finn just tried to understand what kind of undertaking Isaac was taking about.

“Hold on a second, what do you mean by it evolved itself how is that even possible wouldn't the plans for just the current generation be located within the nanobots data?" Finn asked as he stood up and looked at the mutant, electrifying his hands he distracted Isaac and knew he had to keep this from becoming a problem.

“Well I think their might be an algorithm inside in order to jump to the next code, but in order to do it requires a huge undertaking, so it does process the code unless it is told too, and maybe there is a different type of nanobot for gen one so, mutant nanobots cannot handle the transformation and thus only do it in dangerous times." Isaac said, as he wiped the sweat of his eyebrows. Finn didn't like him like this; he was getting mad about one thing and could get a little erratic at this stage. Finn took a breath and walked forward and he tried to calm Isaac down.

“Hey wait a second your fist is electrified, why would you be doing this?" Isaac said as he realized his research was being betrayed. Isaac's face turned into a frown and he looked at Finn as he tried to push him away from the mutant. Finn grunted as he was pushed away and tried to grab at the mutant, he needed to destroy it before it got loose.

“Isaac, stop this you know that if Owlman got his dirty hands on that then maybe he would be able to evolve all of the Gen Zeros into the humanoids and he said that soon warriors of green and blue will walk the Earth, we need to prevent this from happening not encourage it." Finn said as he tried to argue with Isaac's upheld principles, Logic and Reason, “Stay still, I make sure that he dissolves quickly and that he doesn't feel any pain, if they can still feel pain."

Finn walked forward and intended to do the job as he looked at the mutant, he didn't understand how something so stupid looking, so asininely idiotic, so basic and dumb would pose a threat to the city but if it could be a threat then it needed to be dealt with and he was the law in this situation. It might not have been nice to destroy Isaac's research but he had to, and in swipe the mutant dissolved into a million of its components

“Well still I guess we still did it, we pushed a mutant into Gen One if I can find a camera system maybe then I can analyze the footage then maybe I can figure out how the system works." Isaac said as he jumped up and looked out of the alleyway and around the street. Finn looked as Isaac ran erratically around the alley until he arrived at the edge of the street.

“Up there one camera, hopefully someone had it pointed at us or else they're idiotic fools who can't look at interesting events." Isaac said as he glowed and his body started to float. Looking around at the edge of the warehouse district, Isaac watched for cars passing by as he grabbed the camera and looked into its lens.

“Someone is going to get quite the shock if they're looking through that, imagine if it was a weather forecaster." Finn said laughing at himself as Isaac ignored him and instead, pulling a tiny screw driver from his pocket and placing it on the camera. Finn looked as he unlocked the side of the camera and started to play around with the wires.

“Oh this is perfect, an infrared scanner and a light emission reader, if I can focus it in on the moment that it changed then maybe I can pick up on how the signal is transferred, of course all depends on if this has Ultra-Alpha footage, if not I went for broke, shame we couldn't keep it, after Nano Rat 2 left the base has been feeling a bit lonely." Isaac said as Finn looked at him confused, Isaac let the rat out purposely, making sure to surround it with a magnetic cage and cover it so that it couldn't figure it ways back.

“Isaac get down here I think you need to calm down, you're mixing some things up. We need you a hundred percent." Finn said as Isaac groaned and placed the metallic cover back on the recorder. Crossing his arms he floated down to the ground and looked at Finn and the electric shark could only hope to smile back as he adjusted the sleeves on his jacket.

“Ok let's talk about this; I know you're excited about the nanobots you get to do a lot of research in little time. Isaac I can feel that you're feeling of being stressed and pressured is pushing you to do better and that is fine but you need to learn to think ahead. If you managed to push that into Generation One what might happen if you couldn't control it?" Finn said as he tried to argue logic and sense with Isaac, he had a good feeling who'd still be right and wrong.

“Yeah, but I am getting one think from what you're saying. Sadly for you it's a whole lot of “you're". But I think about all the possibilities, I could heal the city and maybe figure out a way to combat them before they become a threat." Isaac said as he tried to defend his position.

“It doesn't always work like that, and I know you are smarter than that." Finn said as he rolled his eyes at Isaac. And then he realized something, he needed to end this conversation and quickly before all the items got out of his hand. “Hey you know Isaac I have a party coming up later today, maybe you would like to be my guest of honor?" Finn asked smiling as he grabbed Isaac's hand, something that would surely distract him.

“Oh why Mr. Harris I never knew …" Isaac said reciting a cheesy line from one of their favorite plays, My Little Princess Bride. Isaac smiled as he blushed a bit and Finn internally congratulated himself on managing to make Isaac forget about everything they were talking about three seconds ago.

“Oh well then my Buttercup, I will take you across the seas and the land and to everywhere the sun glows in order to show you the world that like you I love, but the world could never have one thing." Finn said as he pushed Isaac, normally a couple like then would probably have to use wires but with Isaac's gravity power and metallic legs would make a 35 degree knee bend back into a near kiss easy.

“Oh and what would that be Mr. Harris?" Isaac said with no strain, as his metallic legs carried the bulk of Finn's weight. Isaac looked into Finn's eyes and everything told him to push himself into Finn's face and get slobbered so easily. Finn smiled as he heard the question and just like the actor in the move, Cary Patinkin said to his little butter Finn did his best to imitate the cheesy lines.

“As you wish, My Buttercup the worse part of this world is that you are not spread around it so that in my continuous sea voyages I might see you and be comforted by you every moment, every second of the day that is what the world is missing." Finn said as he leaned in and started to kiss Isaac; the shark grabbed the back of Finn's head and pulled them in to the kiss. The couple stood there for a second as they touched, feeling the spark between then electrified them and Finn smiled as he pulled back.

“Goddamn it you did it to me again you sexy bastard." Isaac said as he realized he had been tricked again. “Well you know what that means; I get to change one thing about you."

“Oh you remembered you sexy orphan." Finn said as he remembered the deal between them, if Finn managed to overwhelm Isaac from a problem in a way that might slow down his research, Isaac got to change one thing on Finn, maybe ask him to change a part of his personality or do something for him.

“Well this time, I get to change something that will benefit you more than me, how you can wear that stupid long coat is beyond me so maybe I change it out for something a bit cooler." Isaac said as he pointed to Finn's wave pattern coat, with arms that went down to his wrist and a flap that went down right above his knees it was quite a miracle that Finn hadn't melted down.

“See now if I freeze myself up and keep enough concentration on my body." Ross said as he sat down on Billy's bed, he quickly froze up in front of his boyfriend and the dragon's bed quickly sank as about a ton of weight was applied to it. However, Billy looked shocked as the bed started to rise and so did Ross, quite quickly the metallic outside managed to pull himself off the bed and onto the ground.

Ross's body glowed purple and a wave of purple was sent over his body, turning it back into the normal draconic scales. Billy clapped upon seeing it, he could only imagine what kinds of abilities that his boyfriend might gain once he completely mastered his power. Billy smiled and looked around for the normal metallic husk that was left.

“Also, Isaac made me a metal converter. People were stating to complain about how much metal I was leaving around town and how I was completely ruining the city's metal business." Ross said blushing wishing he could get away with some good old government oversight. Both of them smiled and hugged, laughing as Ross showed Billy the metallic converter on his back.

“Well then what are you going to do know train for twenty-four hours a day until you figure out how to completely control your body, maybe go see if you can punch some mountains of diamonds caused by that time that Isaac made a black hole three meters below the ground?" Billy said raising his eyebrows as he smiled at Ross, Ross smiled again and climbed up on the bed with Billy.

“I can think about something that I'd like to do for twenty four hours." Ross said as he planted a kiss on Billy's cheek and grabbed him both of them rolling onto the bed as they started. Until there was a sudden vibration from Ross, his body shook as something started to shake. “Oh goddam they just want to kill me don't they?"

Ross rolled of Billy and landed on the floor as he reached down and grabbed his phone from his pocket. Sitting on his legs, he placed it next to his ears and listened as someone talked to him over the phone. Billy groaned as he stood up figuring that they weren't going to shake the bed and the entire building as he only wished that he could.

“Sorry Outsider detail, interstate on fire!" Ross yelled as he ran for Billy's window, Ross saluted his boyfriend and jumped out of the open window, landing in a conveniently placed dumpster.

Ross walked up the interstate travel ramp, Iren and Erick next to him as he looked around for something happening. Arriving at the top, he expected to see cars on fire and people needing recusing. Instead looking at the interstate, it was instead frozen as turned into a winter wonderland. Cars were stuck in place with ice and snow had fallen against the ground.

“Wait they said this was on fire, how has it been about three minutes or so and already it not only cooled down but it went a few months ahead?" Erick asked as he looked forward at the mess of the interstate trying to figure out what had happened, Iren looked forward and she spread out her arms forming two balls of flame in her hand.

“It's not what did this, I think at this point it is more or less who did this, nanobots, a supervillain, maybe some sort of crazy man with an ice gun he built, what exactly are you and your brother smoking?" Iren asked as she threw the balls of flame and some of the cars melted but there was a definite effect on the area and the temperature.

“Well then aren't you just special, figuring that out quickly. I think you figured if the interstate wasn't on fire then who froze it, so then why don't we meet whoever did that?"

A voice sounded around them, Iren put her hands up and suddenly she turned her head over to the one of the cars. Looking over in one of the frozen cars, there was an artic wolf. As Iren noticed him, he awoke and turned his head looking over to the Outsiders and scoping them out. As the wolf, woke up he opened the door to the car seemingly encased half in ice but the door opened at his command, the ice just splitting in half.

“Now then, who could I be maybe I could have nanobots inside water that I control and at my command it freezes and at my command it spills out, all so simple to do and all so simple to complete." The wolf said as he revealed that he was some of nanoleader. He smiled as he walked forward and turned towards the Outsiders on the interstate ramp. “Of course you might know my friend, Owlman."

“Ah, so you are instead an a nanoleader, I see that Owlman is still alive, I can feel it on you and maybe just maybe I'll break my own rules, what secrets are inside your head, I don't have to obey my rules for villains do I?" Erick said as he walked forward and made himself known to the nanobot organism as he turned and walked towards him. “Now then ah Frostbite, what is in your mind, maybe the second generation is inside that pretty little head of yours."

“Sorry you have no access." Frostbite said as suddenly a metallic structure was built around his head, pointed ears and metallic nose cover in all. Erick stepped back he was now useless and now he had to wait for the other Outsiders to make his powers more useful. Waiting a second he looked at Iren and Ross.

“Well then time for some Magik to take the stage, I am riled up and I think that you might find some appreciation in getting your ass kicked." Iren said as she ran forward and suddenly a layer of energy formed in her hands. Jumping up and propelling herself in the sky, she twisted and leaned into an attack. Throwing two energy disks forward, Frostbite quickly dodged out of the way.

“Well then, I wonder how many pieces I can cut you up into, how many nanobots are inside you. Or how many do I have to crush until you turn into juice just like all the other mutants?" Iren asked as he put her hand forward and threw an energy blast straight at Frostbite, he put his hands out and quickly fired a blast of ice. Iren of course combated this with a blast of fire from her own hands.

“Well look at that I didn't think I'd find one of you here. A bit of a will user you are, so I'll have to be careful but the question is of course what will be your power?" Frostbite said as he smiled and looked at Ross. Putting his hand up, Frostbite fired a blast of energy and Ross quickly froze up as it hit him.

“Oh well look at you, aren't you a few models behind look at me I can do this and this." Frostbite said as he ducked and his entire lower boy turned to liquid. Ross looked angered as he de-metaled and he wanted to walk forward, maybe act as Iren's shield but then he realized he might get in the way. He'd just be useless as always.

“Now then, be careful because as they always the bridge freezes first." Frostbite said as he jumped up into the air and looked down at the ground. Suddenly a massive burst of energy came out of his hands and the bridge turned frozen as he then shot into the ground like a bullet. Iren stood still for a few seconds preparing another attack as she waited for the ice cloud to clear.

“Where are you come out you cannot hide from us forever, because I will find you and I will come and get you and so help me if I have to rip the molecular bonds from you one at a time because then I will." Iren said as she walked forward but then as she did, Erick looked at her. In his mind she suddenly turned drowsy, she backed up and then the whole bridge started to shake. The ice cloud cleared pretty quickly as crumbling pieces dragged it to the ground, looking forward the entire bridge was collapsing on itself.

Loraine maybe should have thought about drinking before five o'clock but it was still five o'clock somewhere, at least she hoped it was. And there she was in the middle of the day, walking around drunk no one in her way, ain't no one was going to break her style, she just had to keep on moving and then maybe she would get somewhere. Looking forward the world was blurred and strange and maybe then she had drunk goggles on or else she was in the real hot of town.

Looking around she thought to herself, “Blar, bahr, abrha." Of course in drunk speech that meant she was still thinking about the recent down turn of her “career" and how with the Riftwalkers denying her calls to get them back together and most of the town calling her a drunk she still needed attention. So maybe going back into random alleys would get her some attention.

“So then Loraine you want attention I see?"

Loraine paused as she turned her head; once again she was standing right next to an alley. Maybe her luck had changed again, maybe she needed to start hanging by alleys again and then her career would return. Turning into the alley, she looked ahead as she tried to search through the dark alley for whatever had called to her.

She wondered and wondered for a long time and as much as people would like to say that it was forever, she quickly got out of her random directional changes in a minute. That was when she hit a dumpster, she was still drunk and she never did well navigating in the dark.

“Come this way girl."

Suddenly a spiral of flames rose from the ground and Loraine, like with sparkly bits was attracted to it. Running to it, through the dark alley she suddenly found herself right in front of a spot where sunlight managed to shine right down creating the appearance of a glowing sun spot. Maybe if she walked forward she could restart her life.

“How would you like to have all attention on you for the rest of your life and don't speak answer, just nod answer I don't need this alley any dirtier than it is." A voice said, the man with the flames said as he walked forward into the sun spot. He had a red body suit, and seemingly a glowing orb in his chest. Loraine wanted to reach forward and touch it.

Loraine nodded and she stepped forward looking at the wolf, he seemed to have brown skin and a pointy ears, as well as fur. He was a brown wolf, Loraine said putting together the idea in her mind. Looking forward she looked at him and nodded, he smiled as he reached behind himself and grabbed something, bring it forward suddenly he shook it.

Loraine looked at it and smiled she knew she would be famous forever as the liquid's green light shined over her skin.

Finn watched himself as he walked into the open floor dance, sadly for him and more so Isaac there was no cheap booze, or even expensive booze. Maybe on his part, he might have told Isaac that it was more of a godly experience. Looking around he saw a few kids from school and he froze up in his own skin as soon as Isaac walked in, if he would say something stupid now would be the time.

The gym was moderately filled with teenagers from his school, most of them the ones in between the area of too nerdy to go to a dance and too stoned to be going to a dance. Finn figured that much out and wondered if he somehow just insulted himself by way of deduction.

Going with the boring old theme of high school dance, there was a tiny table with punch and whatever name brand snack the school could barely squeeze out of the budget. Still so far it looked like no one had even attempted to spike the punch as everyone was dancing like a normal human being, he had a feeling that Isaac would change that.

Meanwhile on the gymnasium floor, teachers were talking with each other making sure the teenagers weren't going to spike the punch and barely dancing while attempting to squeeze whatever stories they had from their social lives left before gossiping about students. Balloons were already floating on the ceiling except for the few that were rolling through the dance floor and the few that were popped.

“Finn I already replaced your clothes with these, are you just attempting to get another part of your body changed because I know a nice place for adjusting then size of certain body parts." Isaac said as Finn only nodded and walked over to the side of the room, where being a wallflower might help him and Isaac keep a bit quiet. While it was held at the school, it was more of a sponsored dance.

He realized that when he saw the local priest talking to children over the punchbowl, presumably debating with the students who had decided to pay attention in philosophy, in a debate that would turn into an argument and then quickly turn into the priest telling the kids to go to hell very quickly. Finn could only hope that it wasn't some sort of catholic dance or god help.

Yet looking over and seeing the kids inhale some sort of strange liquid from a balloon while they knelled behind the foldable bleachers, Finn figured he might as well not have accidentally brought himself into some sort of hell, no instead Finn suggested to himself that the priest was really just attempting to guilt the children back into going into church.

“Wow look at this you brought us to a completely lame party, who ever told you about this must really be cool." Isaac said to Finn as he glanced over, and reached into his pocket, presumably bring out something that might be used to spike the drink. Isaac walked past Finn and presumably under the cover of philosophy went to spike the drink.

Ignoring that Finn tried to hide the fact that his arms felt a little exposed and he tried to pull his sleeves down past his elbow but he found that they wouldn't even go onto his elbow. He hated Isaac so much right now and he couldn't wait to get some sweet revenge until someone else showed up and instantly made Isaac look better by default.

“Well then look who showed up after all I didn't think you'd ever come out of his garage again, but trust me I like your new outfit."

Walking up to them Finn blushed as Tidus, the younger shark appeared. Some said they looked similar, but Finn knew they were only joking such as when they joked he and Isaac were like brothers. He walked out and Isaac laughed a bit when he saw what he picked out from a distance. Finn couldn't hide his blush with the stupid outfit, he had to wear. A black turtle neck with red and blue markings and a red vest like jacket with strange metallic attachments, and the strangest shorts that had some sort of metallic piece that bent around his knees. Finn blushed as he tried to hide himself in his outfit.

“Oh don't worry Finn you don't look that bad, with you in that Outfit, I think you look very sheik or maybe I should say you look shulk in it." Tidus said laughing as he handed Isaac and Finn a glass of punch. Finn looked down at the drink and brought it up to his face and took a sniff at it before he properly drunk it. “Now then cheers to us, the nanobots haven't attacked, live it good and maybe one day they'll tell the story of tonight."

“I'll raise my glass to freedom, and to the Outsiders there are five of them but tomorrow they'll be more of them, and I think we all who fight against the nanobots are Outsiders in a sense." Finn said as he raised his glass and the plastic collided with Tidus's plastic, not the glass off glass sound they were looking for but fine enough.

“I do agree; some enough they will go down." Isaac said raising his eyebrows and knocking his glass against the other two, the three of the sharks cheering as they drank down their glasses. Finn smiled and looked at Isaac. And then suddenly there was a blast of flames.

Gene Whitman was a grumpy old man and sadly this was no country for old men, in fact it was no country in his mind at all. For him the best days of this country were more than two decays before his time. He had an angry smile on his face and children cried where ever he stood, he didn't get them maybe they should stay away from him.

He didn't want those stupid furred kids contaminating his pure polish blood; his entire life had been dedicated to finding someone as pure as he was. Sadly that went to no avail; there was no straight human woman who happened to come from his mother land. So many women ruined by unsuperior blood ruining through their veins.

And that was when he decided to get a drink, with alcohol rushing around his superior blood and veins, he felt great, he felt on top of the world and not like a lonely old man without grandchildren and no chance to pass on his amazing genes. He walked down the streets imagining he was being bowed to by everyone and at the end of the street he would meet his perfect partner, yet that idea was quickly failing.

And he grumbled, the world unjustly turned its back on him. Where he should have been standing above everyone, it seemed now no one cared about him in his old age and now he had to be left to his own devices. And when he stated to hear music, he turned down his hearing aid, the sound of pulsing beating slowly turning to something in the back of his mind.

With his eyes slowly closing he started to wonder around and he looked for a way out, looking ahead. Walking forward, he looked around and tried to see where he was going, but the world was slowly turning dark he couldn't see anything and no matter which way he went it all seemed to be more and more annoying, he blamed it on those crazy furs, if he had his way they would all be shot on sight and skinned, but his way was no longer the politically correct way.

In fact his way was no longer even represented in the long run, no politician was brave enough to come out against five-sevenths of the United States population and that in his mind was a disappointment to him. Had he had his way, he would kill them all with his own bare hands. And yet that was frowned on, even as soon as they passed through the temporal breach they were accepted by the King of England and they came with us, and yet they were disgusting animals in the end game.

And maybe through the singular god that he believed in, he found himself functionally sober, that in-between area when your mind is drunk but your body wasn't. Looking forward he realized that there was some sort of dance going on and where ever there was a dance there was sure to be children doing things they should and ignoring their parents traditions.

“Well then maybe I should go and make sure they know who they should be listening to." Gene said as he walked forward rolling up his sleeves and intending to break this generations penchant for being looser and freer than the last.

Iren picked herself up, she looked around and luckily as it seemed her bubble had protected them from most of the collapsing bridge. Standing up she looked ahead and as the mixture of ice and concrete dust settled there were three figures ahead of her. Turning to her left she made sure she had Erick and Ross and then standing up, and not making a sound approached the three in front of her.

Looking around, on the ground was snow mixed with ash and concrete dust, and in front of them the largest cloud of ice and dust had gathered. Iren tried to look forward but she found herself failing in that task, so instead she looked around the area they fallen into.

Based on the hoking sounds in front and behind her, they were on the streets, not that she could see the golden divider line. Surely in a few minutes, the police and every other emergency service would be showing up there in order to save people stick stuck in their cars or that needed help escaping, Iren wouldn't hold herself back.

“Then again", Iren thought as she looked up and saw the crumbling overpass, as it seemed the rest of I-380 in her area was probably going to fall and it might not be best to hang around this area. Cars still frozen in soild blocks of ice and some just in the wrong place hadn't gotten the message yet from gravity and still were tattering on the edge. One blast of magic in the wrong place and she might end up crushing herself.

“Now than in the end, I give you her make sure she drinks it down and allows herself to be freed by the nanobots all in all."

And then in a bust of fire, that man disappeared. Iren latched onto the edge of a icy bridge pillar and looked forward hoping to hide herself behind and not be detected. Looking forward she saw Frostbite standing there and next to him was a body, it was Loraine.

“Now then drink girl, drink the nanobots and allow your body to be taken over by the master race." Frostbite said as he handed her a vial of green liquid and Iren didn't have to be much of a fool in order to figure out what was happening, she looked out and then looked around, they were trapped, massive pillars of blocks and cars trapping them in. She realized they were trapped and they would have to fight.

Looking forward Iren saw the slutty dress and the poorly done eyeliner, as well as the generally drunk as skunk appearance and the look of complete stupidity on her face. Iren wondered what made her famous, what made the local drunk special enough that Frostbite would choose her. And still she wanted to cry out and protect her.

“No Loraine don't do it, don't succumb to the nanobots!" Iren called out, perhaps internally caring for Loraine or another part of her just not wanting to see the nanobots elevate themselves to their next form. And then Loraine stopped and looked over at Iren and smiled, she recognized her as an Outsider. Iren backed up as she saw the look of desperation in Loraine's eyes.

“Ah the Outsiders, I will not feel bad destroying you." Loraine said smiling and with that she took the vial and her body shook, all while Frostbite smiled. Her body shook and suddenly from her stomach, her dress was ripped open, not that it changed how much of her was revealing and quickly her skin seemingly bubbled out and was replaced with metallic skin.

Screaming Loraine smiled as her entire body turned to nanorobotics, her dress being ripped opened and her body conveniently changing into a metallic dress that hid as much as the previous one did. Iren backed up and looked at Ross and Erick as she knew she had to protect them, backing up she raised a shield and waited.

Loraine's entire body was replaced, her ears, her nose and her eyes replaced with two spheres with a seemingly glowing pit of green inside. On her body large cracks formed around, down her arms and down her torso all the way down her body and quickly a green liquid started to flow through these cracks, seemingly held in and only shown for convenience. Iren recognized it as nanobot fluid, but unlike the pale yellow of the mutants now it was a nuclear green and it glowed with such an intense color that Iren could see it through the fog of war.

“And now as one with the nanobots, I proclaim myself to be certain of the fact, which is of the up most important, I am now a Generation One."

“Now then I have a little tidbit of information for you!" Suddenly a flame appeared in the middle of the auditorium and swirling around it suddenly shifted into a person. Isaac and Finn turned from their kiss and towards the man, they knew it instantly it was some sort of villain. Looking around he saw so many people able to hurt, he saw Barry and other people from the school whose name he didn't care about.

“Now then one of you is an Outsider and I am sure that we will find out who that is later in the night but right now let's talk about the nanobots. You see I have the Generation One formula, in order to create humanoid nano mutants, now I have information that someone in here will accept this formula." The nano villain said as he landed and smiled with that stupid confident smile that all of them had, looking around Finn saw the reaction among them, one of them was an Outsider, obviously talking about him and Isaac. Yet he still couldn't reveal his identity.

“Oh do keep calm we are just waiting, because I already used the formula and consider yourself under hostage until which ever on of you is the Outsider decide to reveal yourself and then fight me. Now then I am Flashpoint." The wolf smiled as his smile and flames fired out of his hands and into the gym. Isaac looked at Finn and knew they were in trouble this time.
