Chapter Nine: Fly Me to the Moon, Part Two

Maybe for Gene Whitman it all started for him when his parents where all murdered by a gang. Firing reflecting in his eyes as he looked at his house burning and seeing the gang of furs arrested while his parent's bodies where “dragged" off might have been too much for one single person to internalize and release. For him that would just be the first of many dominos falling in a series that lead him to his current position.

Perhaps it was seeing the capital city of Nevada slip from his grip and be taken control by Outsiders and filled with gangs and supervillains all of different races and all intending to wreak havoc with the city. Or still it might have started with his father, beating him in the “old traditional fashion" and making sure that he grew up on old traditional sense and rose with superior American values.

So maybe he grew up a little messed up and maybe he could have been saved, so something must of pushed him off the deep end something must have pushed him into the pool and sent him into the deeps puts of hell where he now stays, for Gene that was when he did his first public speech. Talking in front of a massive group of people was nerve racking for him but the subject wasn't all he had to do was take a little of his old fashioned raising and put it into sense for people.

“Today these kids, these furs they all wish to take our land and take out money on what is our god given Earth, do you see the furs in the bible and do you see them spoken about in church, those blasphemous beasts wish to tear us apart with their sharp claws." Gene said as he spoke to the hall in front of him, looking ahead into the crowd of people were for him the true blood of American, the White Anglo-Saxon Protestant, you were in or you were out in his book and he carefully looked through the crowd to make sure no one was lying.

A few people were taking notes, seemingly examining his every word and trying to decode his meaning. Maybe they intended to put in a book when he soon rose against the furs and the Catholics and the blacks, and he established his own master race. He smiled just thinking about that day, the day in which he would rise and the day in which he would take control of the entire world that was given to him by god.

“Now then my brothers, we must operate in the background, allow no one to hear about us and take back our country from these monsters, these blasphemous monsters who wish to take it from our pure American blood and steal it to raise their own empire." Gene said smiling as he looked over the crowd, of course he had no idea that someone in that group was an FBI informant and then one day, his entire operation was shut down.

Gene remembered that day as when everything failed and he was drowned in the deep end, the fire fights between the two groups and then the Outsiders arrived, with their superpowers easily disabling their weapons and easily taking down their base, dismantling everything he was working for. Just barely did he manage to escape only with the clothes on his back and his message to the world.

He wondered in one day he might get to spread his message again and tell everyone the good news that he and arrived, that they were free from the furs and the unholy like people on this Earth until he became a drunk. Now his pure American blood was also joined by alcohol and lots of it, every cent could be used to by a pint, everything he found he used and put towards his next drink and while at first he might have been the towns racist, now he was the drunken uncle of the town, spitting out racist phases at regular intervals and making sure the town lived in proper fear of him and his words.

And now he lived on the streets, selling everything he owned for just that next glass or bottle of sweet liquor and he could only wish to rise up again. And while in his drunken stupor he wondered to the nice side of town with the school that he hated for accepting all students just like all the other ones, he wondered towards it looking for his next step.

Iren looked forward as Loraine swallowed the liquid, licking up it up in her lips and all while looking forward at the Outsiders. Iren backed up, away from the bridge pole and back towards her group. She didn't know what was happening but she did know that something bad was happening.

“Ah the Outsiders, today the nanobots have evolved and you will perish." Loraine said smiling and with that she took the vial and her body shook, all while Frostbite smiled. Her body shook and suddenly from her stomach, her dress was ripped open, not that it changed how much of her was revealing and quickly her skin seemingly bubbled out and was replaced with metallic skin.

Screaming Loraine smiled as her entire body turned to nanorobotics, her dress being ripped opened and her body conveniently changing into a metallic dress that hid as much as the previous one did. Iren backed up and looked at Ross and Erick as she knew she had to protect them; backing up she raised a shield and waited.

Loraine's entire body was replaced, her ears, her nose and her eyes replaced with two spheres with a seemingly glowing pit of green inside. On her body large cracks formed around, down her arms and down her torso all the way down her body and quickly a green liquid started to flow through these cracks, seemingly held in and only shown for convenience. Iren recognized it as nanobot's fluid, but unlike the pale yellow of the mutants now it was a nuclear green and it glowed with such an intense color that Iren could see it through the fog of war.

“And now as one with the nanobots, I proclaim myself to be certain of the fact, which is of the up most importance to you, I am now a Generation One."

Loraine walked forward looking at her new metallic body and she smiled, looking at Iren and the Outsiders. Everything was so nice now, she could feel everything going on in her body, she could feel the blood rushing through her veins and she could feel her heart beating and her electronically enhanced brain quickly process through the data. Her body glowed with power, pulsing slowly as she took a look back towards the rubble pile.

Her eyes shot through the layer of the smog that had formed over the battle field and she saw the Outsiders standing before her. The Outsiders' body heat appeared in her eyes; it managing to give them away through the floating ice dust on the collapsed bridge. She raised her hand and gathered energy, oxygen molecules being sucked into the pours of her arm and being fused together into something more, fusion energy being sent into her palms and collecting in her hand.

“Now then Outsiders I'd like to have a word with you, no White Mage we should talk, you're a greedy bitch you know that?" Loraine said as she heard her new voice, robotic in nature but frightening in real life. She released the energy and it was thrown forward, Iren quickly blocked the energy with a shield and Loraine thought to herself how boring.

“If by talk, you mean fighting then I guess we can get into a conversation, let's debate." Iren said as she raised her fingers and gestured at her, “come and get me!" Iren put her foot firmly in the ground and twisted it. Lowering her body weight, she waited for Loraine to make her move. They stood still for a second, as a cool wind blew over the battlefield.

“Well then Outsider, I guess you really can do nothing. Are you just going to stand there and protect your mates, or will you come out here and face a real challenge, metal on flesh, your body on mine." Loraine said as he clapped her hands together, a shock wave being released and sending the dust away. Loraine smiled as she saw Iren stand up and lower her bubble shield.

“Fine then, Declawo Gratual!" Iren said as she held out her hand and suddenly energy was released and gathered into her claws where three blades of long sharp appendages formed and Iren looked forward at Loraine. Iren ran forward, sending her four foot long claw ahead of her and into Loraine's body. Loraine held the blades in place and she grabbed them with energy in her hand.

“Come on don't bore me, please I can here for a challenge not a cat fight." Loraine said, Iren pulled her claws back and instead jumped up into the air, focusing the energy into her fist as she aimed forward. Iren knocked her fist into Loraine's stomach, the nanobot not flinching as she looked at Iren's fist and simply grabbed it from her. “Oh look at that how cute of you."

“Get your filthy metallic hands off me." Iren said pulling her hand back and looking forward at Loraine. A glow formed again and this time her hand shot forward at superspeed, Loraine simply dodged it and then Iren threw her fist forward again, to be dodged again. Jumping forward to keep up with Loraine, Iren kept on trying to hit her only to fail.

“Ok you've had a good try, now why don't I show you how it's done with a little bit of this." Loraine grabbed Iren's arm and jumped forward, pulling her arm and by connection Iren along with the ride. The tiger screamed in pain as she was pulled along and then slammed into the concrete pole. Sliding down it into the ground, she grabbed her arm weakly and snapped it back into place. Loraine stood before her and once again had a grip on her whole body.

“Oh trust me this will get far worse before it gets better, so trust me count your prayers little tiger before your day is up." Loraine grabbed her by the head and raised Iren up into the sky. She threw her body forward and this time Iren passed through the concrete barrier with no problem, and as it seemed neither did the concrete pole with collapsing on itself.

Loraine simply walked forward towards Iren as behind her Frostbite looked ahead at the bridge that was collapsing. Cars fell into the field as the deck that once supported them started to cave in and fall towards the ground. All the while, Iren stood helpless on the ground unable to do anything. Loraine walked forward intending to put in the final strike.

“Oh really you think it is that easy?" Iren said suddenly she blasted forward a massive wave of energy. Loraine was caught blindsided and was knocked over the pile of rubble and back into the field. All while the bridge collapsed, Iren stood up and looked forward as the bridge in one piece fell on Loraine.

“Stay back a few seconds you need to make sure that the bitch is dead and that is always why you check for bodies and make sure at least their pulse is gone." Iren said to Ross, the dragon uncomfortably nodding as he looked over a pile of rubble and towards the collapsed bridge. Iren cracked her fingers. “Now then I intend to prove without a shadow of a doubt that these Generation Ones are simply just a hype gimmick."

And then the bridge slab exploded in a blast of green light, Iren raised a shield looking forward as hundreds of pieces of rubble came for her. Iren looked forward and saw her there; Loraine was still standing her metallic body simply unmoving and un-flinched by the bridge, even as cars landed around her. Frostbite smiled seeing the success of his warriors in this situation.

“Ah well then Mrs. Hart you seem quite functional and able to handle this situation so I need to go away and check on other things." Frostbite said as he looked at Loraine's undamaged body. He smiled and floated up into the air, then disappearing into a flash of blue light. Iren took a breath of relief that was one less person she had to worry about beating, still Loraine looked undamaged, while Iren's orange fur was being dirty with dust and scrapes over her body were started to bleed and her hair was becoming messed up, and in the end she wasn't putting on a very good show at all.

“Now then let's get to the real battle." Loraine said as she suddenly walked forward in that one stepped appeared right next to Iren. She grabbed her again and this time started to punch her, the tiger groaning as she was hit every time. Iren managed to get out of her grip and she back dup steeping on rubble and backwardly climbing on top of a car as she looked forward at Loraine.

“Infernos Maximus!" Iren yelled out as she cupped her hands together and looked at Loraine; this was everything she had in her system. If this didn't work she would be working with energy she was generating by the second. Energy flew down her arms and into her palm, where she gathered it. It caught a flame and she held it carefully as she waited for a second.

Iren smiled and then threw it forward, Loraine waited few seconds as the horizontal pillar of fire rushed at her and then yawning she put her left hand forward and with the pores on it glowing smiling blocked it with her hand. The fire was just blocked as it hit her hand and Iren looked at that.

“Oh so you think it is just that simple bitch!" Iren said seemingly challenging Loraine as she threw her hands out and released more energy at a time, waiting to the point till it became a problem for Loraine and yet as she threw out more and more energy all she did was make her hand glow brighter. Iren felt enraged she felt insulted and as she did, she harnessed that anger and pulled one hand back.

She flooded that hand with the energy she had left and her emotions, the ball of energy becoming blast as she did. And throwing her left hand back in with her right hand, the fire reacted as such. Red became blue as a massive shockwave was intertwined with the energy and black swirls flowed through the fire as it became the least friendly looking ice cream ever.

Loraine suddenly looked shocked and put her hand forward, striking it with a comeback. And then as the fire all when towards her it seemingly all flowing towards her body she started to walk forward, countering the energy and compressing it as the nanobot walked forward. Loraine walked through the field, the wind generating from her counterstrike pushing dust away from the two of them.

“So then you think this is what you have to do in order to counter me, trust me you need a lot more anger than that!" Loraine then fired a blast of her own. Iren looked shocked as she saw the massive approaching wave of green swallow her own fire and approach her. She gave up and stopped the blast.

Iren screamed as the blast hit her, she was knocked off the car and flew into the rubble as she looked forward at Loraine who cracked her knuckles as she approached. Jumping over the first layer of rubble and crashing onto the car, collapsing its roof and smooshing anyone inside, Loraine walked forward towards Iren.

“Now then you little bitch you want to play hard ball, we will play hard ball but trust me it is not as simple as just throwing a ball at me and me throwing it back , because I will clobber you will a one hundred and twenty mile per hour ball into the bat if you are not careful." Loraine said as she slid down the hill and grabbed Iren, the nanobot threw her body into the field and looked at them, and the three Outsiders so frightened and so doomed they could do nothing but look their like babies.

“Now then you two stay back or else you will face my fist." Loraine said as she jumped over the distance she walked and landed on Iren's arm. The tiger screamed in pain as Loraine slowly walked off and once again grabbed her by her face. Holding Iren up in the air, Loraine started to punch her. Iren walked knocked around and screamed in pain as she was knocked back and forth by Loraine's punches.

Iren tried to stop her as she looked forward; Loraine punched her again and stopped as she looked at Iren looking at her art. She waited for a second and started to punch her again. Loraine engulfed her punch in energy and threw it into Iren's face. Ross threw out his fist as he tried to do something but even as he froze up he wouldn't be able to do anything.

“Erick we have to do something, do you think you can throw me?" Ross asked as he saw the battle that Iren was losing very quickly. Erick gave him a look as if Ross was a stoned as the komodo was and started to think. He looked at Loraine and she had to have a weakness somewhere, everyone had a weakness.

“So then Iren do you have something to say for yourself or will you just allow yourself to be punched her until I get bored of it or something, because this can all end quite easily for you." Loraine said as she smiled and looked at Iren, who currently was now at an unfunctional state. Loraine threw Iren on the ground and decided to give her three minutes to recover while she turned her attention over to the other two in the group.

“Now then do you two have any idea on how much trouble you are currently in right now, because as a Generation One, I am more powerful than you think, I am a god who graces Earth with my presence and you are but little bugs that I get to step on so run." Loraine said as she raised her hand and prepared to fire a massive ball of energy at the two. Ross froze up and Erick stood behind him hoping that he might be useful as a shield.

“Now then you two simply know that I grace you with…" And then suddenly Loraine was knocked across the battlefield. She flew over Ross and Erick as Iren stood up, looking healed and managed to kick her away from the two. Ross looked relieved as he saw Loraine knocked into a car. Iren walked forward and said nothing to them as she walked over the pile of rubble they hid behind.

“Well look at you, how many tricks do you have hidden up your sleeves because I will pull on them until you have nothing left to show me and when we get to that point, you will be very boring I assure you." Loraine said as she stood up and pushed the car off her. She looked forward at Iren and ran forward, intending to strike her down.

“Oh trust me I can go all day and night." Iren intercepted her and started to fight. This time it appeared they were more evenly matched then before. Iren moved as gracefully as a hurricane as she blocked Loraine's strikes and quickly formed energy blasts. Iren hopped backwards and after sticking the landing fired a blast of fire at her.

“So then the tiger does have claws." Loraine threw forward a blast and Iren jumped over it, the rubble pile absorbing the blast. Iren ran forward and put Loraine on the defensive as she tried to strike her, slashing forward with her claws as suddenly they arrived at the edge of the battle field. Iren kicked out with her foot and struck it into Loraine as she did an energy kick.

“Nice try!" Loraine grabbed Iren's leg as she tried to pull away, pleasantly surprised at the tiger. And then Loraine threw her up into the air and into the fields of crashed cars. Iren screened in pain as she landed and suddenly realized she might have been in much more trouble then she thought. Loraine floated upwards and floated over the cars as she looked at Iren and put her hands forward.

“Now then tigers like you get to die, very, very stupid deaths because they act very, very stupid in the long run so hope that God is as forgiving as my master might be to you." Loraine said smiling as she gathered the energy, knowing in the air she was save from the other two Outsiders and making sure this would be a very personal affair. And then a sword landed in her back.

“Oh for god's sake!" Loraine said as suddenly a massive wave of energy was stuck through her and then Basil appeared grabbing on to his sword. Loraine was knocked forward with a blast of sword energy and landed into a few concrete pillars, tumbling into them as she crashed into the ground and the bridge crashed into her.

Basil looked around and landed on the ground as the bridge collapsed in front of him, opening up the area and allowing some sunlight to come through. Sheathing his sword Basil flew down to the ground and looked around as he took in the setting of the damage he had done just on his own.

“Well they won't like me for this but I am sure that you will." Basil said as she reached forward and grabbed Iren's hand. Iren stood up and groaned as she looked at Basil who saved her. The Riftwalker had managed to save her which meant he was watching them battle. “It's okay; I don't like being thanked anyways."

“Oh sorry, thank you Basil for saving me but why did you do that?" Iren asked as she stood up and shook the dust of her body and looked back. She knew Loraine wasn't dead yet, she wouldn't be that lucky. But she might have enough time to speak to Basil on what was happening. Basil laughed a bit and walked forward hoping to prepare again Loraine's second strike.

“Well I can sense some energy and I can feel yours but I felt it fading so I knew I need to help you." Basil said as he put his sword back into its case. And then the bridge started to glow and the shark dragon formed a shield in front of them, pieces of bridge flew everywhere as Loraine seemingly exploded with energy and knocked it all away. Basil reached back and intended to grab his sword, hoping that he might be able to defeat the nanoleader.

“Now then you two RBF's I have a little party I need to get two and you are just ruining my fun today, so I will just be on my way and have a bit of fun because right now is my time to party!" Loraine said as she floated up into the air and her body glowed as she flew into the air and then flew away, her body disappearing into a green flash in the distance.

“Oh god, at some point I didn't think I would make it how did you know all moves?" Iren asked as she put her hands on her hips and started to slowly breath, hoping to regain her will and her cool back. Basil laughed and held out his hands, Iren grabbed it and suddenly there was a trade-off of energy. Basil gave her some of his energy. “How can you do that no one else can do that?"

“Well allow me to open your world, unlike everyone else me and the Riftwalker's powers are fueled through Will. Which means we make up our own moves and seemingly you too have will, so then let me just check to be completely sure you are all right." Basil said as he pulled out a tiny chip from his pocket and showed it two Iren. “It is just a scanner ship can check if you have damage, check your race, see how much energy you have left."

“Ok." Iren said as Basil held it onto her head and for a few seconds it worked and then it gave a little blip as it seemingly finished. Basil clicked it down and a hologram formed. It was a one way hologram, Ross and Erick tried to look up towards it but Basil's body blocked it. Basil turned his head in confusion as he looked at it.

“Is something wrong?" Iren asked as she tried to look through, but for some reason the back of the hologram was not see through. Iren wondered what he was talking about and she tried to look through the hologram but found herself unable to do so. Iren started to worry.

“Is this right?" Basil asked as he flipped the hologram over and showed it to her, pointing towards the hologram and Iren scanned her eyes down towards his finger and then gasped. She gasped as she looked at the hologram, that couldn't be right she couldn't have been that was impossible. Iren started to sweat; she didn't know what that could mean.

“Ah don't worry it's probably just a glitch, it was meant for non-Riftwalkers but since you use will it must be interfering with the system." Basil said as he started to sweat as well, he need to get out of this conversation quickly and needed to teleport away. “I'm sure it's nothing anyway, but about Loraine, I can train you to face her we can get more powerful."

“Ah yeah, sure let's go with training we can train together and I can get that checked out." Iren said as she looked down and hoped that Ross and Erick couldn't hear them from behind the rubble pile. Basil closed the hologram and put it back into his pocket hoping to put behind that conversation. Basil pulled his sword out and quickly threw it behind himself.

“Bye, have a good day." Basil said as he blushed, suddenly he disappeared as his body was pulled toward his sword. Iren turned away and slid down the pile of rubble that had built up. Was that right, she needed to be stronger to protect the team she needed to be stronger, that needed to happen. She breathed and felt the October wind over her body. She looked around and wondered what would happen.

“Well then boys, we've got to get back to the base." Iren said smiling as she looked at Ross and Erick and in her mind, they heard nothing and wouldn't ask her. If anyone knew what she knew then this might throw a massive spike into the Outsider team and might interfere with peace between the Riftwalkers and the town. She took a breath and hoped that it would all end well.

Finn stood silent as Flashpoint smiled and looked over the group; he needed him and Isaac to blend in as much as possible. If Flashpoint figured out who he was, or they mad one bad move that gave them away, not one would their identities be given away their families would be in danger. Finn kept himself calm on the inside; he didn't want to risk his parents dying. He didn't want to see his father die all because of him being trigger happy.

“Oh come on you sorry bunches at least have a happy look on your face, it's not like you're going to die. Well you might if you act stupid, but if you keep a level head well then maybe just maybe you might survive this situation." Flashpoint said as he stood up and smiled, looking around he wondered who was going to snap first, who might move first and who might decide to do something stupid.

Everyone looked particularly frightened and he couldn't discern who the Outsiders in the group were. He looked around, he could cross off a few people off the internal list he had simply because they weren't the race he was looking for, he smiled the Outsiders might have been able to hide their identities and faces but they couldn't change their races. Flashpoint looked around, and he tried to find a shark, his boss told him to look for sharks.

“OK, now then I am going to offer someone in this room the chance to be famous and survive this situation without a shadow of a doubt, you can turn into our little experiment you can be the Generation One Nanoleader." Flashpoint said as he reached behind him and seemingly from negative space pulled out a vial with the green glowing liquid that showed him the Generation One formula. Finn shook as he saw that, that was bad if someone here took it they might spread the nanobots out over miles.

And then Flashpoint seemingly becoming self-aware, turned towards Finn, Isaac and Tidus. The three sharks froze for a second as he made direct eye contact and Finn realized that Flashpoint had used their race against them, he figured out he had a good chance that by finding the group of sharks he could find the Outsiders of the group. Finn stood in place as he realized that.

“Finn he has us figured out, he knows who we are." Isaac said whispering as he leaned over and tried to keep what they had left of cover remaining. Finn shook in place as he tried to figure out a plan, but he had nothing in him. Finn just shook and knew that if Flashpoint got a picture of them or their names, then he might find out who they were or who they were related to, that was dangerous.

“Just breath, he doesn't know which two of us are the Outsiders, sorry Tidus but you are being our distraction, also we are the Outsiders." Finn said as he spoke quietly among the group, he waited a few seconds and breathed as he looked over to Tidus who seemed to be contemplating what that meant until he smiled at Finn and realized what he was being told.

“Good job, well then I think we need to be careful or else he might figure out who you guys are." Tidus said smiling; Finn took a breath at least Tidus was on board for this plan that would make executing it easier. He waited a few seconds and knew that Flashpoint was going to push at them and attempt to figure them out sooner than later.

“Now then let's talk about an outsider, they can barely manage this, they are simply weak and unable to handle this." Flashpoint said as he raised his hand and suddenly flames shot out. Finn backed up as he looked at them and knew that Flashpoint was onto them or else who knew what might happen. Finn waited for him to make an action; if he did he would simply just use his perception filter and hope for the best.

“Now then you sorry bunch don't seem to know what trouble you are in because at the end of this day, there will be four nanobots, two of them leaders and two of them the most power of Generation Ones so maybe you are quivering but consider yourself lucky to be alive, because you will get to opportunity to see all four of them." Flashpoint said smiling as he looked around and then crossing his arms behind his body he looked forward at the three sharks. And then he started to walk forward as he stared down the sharks.

Finn started to shake this was his moment, he knew this was the moment in which his cover was blown, this was where everything went to hell and the students and teachers were all looking to him. Maybe he could use a perception wave on them to make them forget or maybe he could hire the FBI to erase their memories but then he realized that this was happening weather or not he was comfortable with it.

He closed his eyes, and started to count down, if Flashpoint didn't know who he was handing onto Isaac and shaking, he might have put on a good show. And thus he waited a few seconds and started to count down, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, once he reached zero he would run forward and knock Flashpoint with all his might, revealing himself to the world and kind of outing himself, he laughed at the irony of that.

5, 4; he started to breath heavily now, this was a few seconds away and just as he prepared to spark everything up and run and make himself known. Suddenly something else happened. 3, 2, 1; and just as the countdown finished, he felt sparks in the air, but it wasn't his sparks, well they felt familiar but they weren't the kind of sparks that he made. He looked over and the sparks were coming from Tidus.

Suddenly the shark ran forward with all his energy and Tidus's body was engulfed in a wave of blue electricity. Suddenly a perception filter was placed on Tidus and Finn realized what happened. With the blue suit with camo over it and electrical symbols, Tidus was Livewire. Finn stood shocked, trying to convince Flashpoint of the deception as the third shark ran forward.

Tidus knocked himself into Flashpoint and the nanoleader screamed as he was knocked back into the wall. With an impact made into the concrete wall, students and teachers made their opportunity to take action as they ran forward out of the gym and away into the safety of the world. Finn waited a few seconds knowing they might need to back Tidus up.

“Tidus is Livewire; two of our best friends are in the military." Isaac said shocked as he seemingly was unable, to comprehend, to put together that information with in his head. Finn looked just as shocked as he watched Tidus look back at them and smile. Finn just nodded and looked at the shark as he waited to see what he would do next.

Finn watched as Flashpoint, pushed himself off the wall, hitting the floor and sending the flow of kids to behind Tidus or Livewire as the nanoleader re-entered the battle. Flashpoint walked forward and cracked his finger, in the middle of his chest a seemingly orb of pure fire started to spin as he put his hands out and let the fire flow.

“Ah well look at that, the military brat has decided to show up, how nice of you to ruin my perfect plan to find the Outsiders, well then might as well get a good battle out of this but how good are you with fighting two nanoleaders at the same time." Flashpoint said as suddenly in a flash of ice on the gym wall Frostbite appeared and landed on the ground, smiling as he looked at Tidus and his challenge.

“Now then you little brat call me Frostbite, and you will be put back in your place soon, shark." Frostbite said smiling as he walked forward and sent a spray of what must have been pure absolute zero ice into the air. Like Flashpoint, his chest had a spread of this time a ball of ice in it and it spun as he realized his material.

“Well then you two idiots seem like you might be the first real challenge for my powers, Maverick might as well consider himself proud that I'm getting into a challenge for once." Livewire said as he cracked his fingers and electricity sparked out from his pours. He smiled and walked forward; suddenly he flashed into Frostbite and knocked him into a wall.

“We have to go; he can handle this on his own!" Isaac said as he grabbed Finn and pulled him out of the school gym with the last group of students. Finn knew if they appeared here, there identifies would be spoiled but know he felt bad for not helping Tidus in a two on one battle but he figured that he trusted the shark to handle it, he was more powerful, he could generate his own electricity.

As they ran out into the beating sun of Carson City, Finn felt guilty, he was leaving Tidus to fight against the nanobots, he didn't want to do that but he knew he had to. Running forward, holding onto Isaac they ran out onto the street with the last of the students and made their run for the safety of the inner city.

Finn looked around and as they left the building, he could see the press waiting to capture the aftermath and looking back Finn only saw one person left, a drunken man walking around. Finn waited and he ran off with Isaac, their job was over and they might stay close but far enough that they weren't needed or they shouldn't appear.

Livewire smiled as he looked around; waiting a few seconds he jumped up and formed a thunder punch as he knocked his fist into Flashpoint. The nanoleader grabbed his fist and redirected it into the ground. Quickly he was knocked into the ground and the gym floor buckled under his power. Looking back, he stood up and waited a few seconds as he looked at Flashpoint.

Pulling his hands back, suddenly the room became darker in comparison as he summoned pure electricity to his hands. Waiting a few seconds he smiled at Flashpoint and then threw them together. A massive wave of electricity was knocked at the two and they were knocked back into the wall as the building shook around his thunderclap.

“Ok, then let's do this. I need the second generation one." Flashpoint said as he stood up and looked the vial on the floor, he saw someone in his vision. Anyone would work for him, he just needed one person to infect and then he would have everything his master wanted. And with a little control he suddenly threw the vial, it flew in the air at the person and he heard someone scream as he the vial seemingly hit him. And then standing up, he suddenly heard a laughing and a screaming at the same time.

“No, my purity; I must stay pure my American blood must not be taken over by this communist fuel!" Gene Whitman said as he screamed out, a layer of metallic was covering him and he was stuck in place as he tried to wipe it off his body to no success. He screamed one last time and then suddenly the liquid shot up over his body and he became renewed.

With a layer of metal covering his once human body, Gene Whitman now shined in the sun and the media captured his image. He simply walked forward, in his new form he was more powerful he was purer he could control anything in his body and thus quickly he became quite sober. With his mind free of alcohols influence and his childhood crap he became quite focused on the battle in front of him.

“Well then, I believe we should go meet our last ally and prepare for the next battle." Gene said as he disappeared in a ray of green light. Flashpoint and Frostbite nodded and the two disappeared into a flash of red and white respectively. Livewire took a breath of air as he knew that the nanobots would return and the only way to win was to unite the Outsiders and the Military.

Finn took a breath he needed to do this and walking forward he was nervous as all hell. He opened his door and stayed a few steps ahead of Isaac as he walked forward; surely with the quietness of the house his parents could hear the two sets of footsteps. Finn walked forward and knew he needed to admit this to his parents.

“Ah hello Finn, are you going out with one of your friends, well you can just text me next time but don't stay out past twelve." Finn's stepmother, the human said as she sipped her wine and read her magazines. Finn looked over to his father who was tinkering with a device.

“I'm sorry but I need to talk to you, I need to admit this and I just need you to accept it no matter how crazy it is." Finn said as he took a breath, if Tidus could come out to the whole school then he could do the same for his parents. “Mom, dad I am gay."

Finn took a breath of air as he admitted that to his parents, he just through they needed to know. It would have been better for them; they should know who he was and who he loved in case. Isaac appeared behind him, waving a rainbow flag that Finn thought might have been a bit too much on the nose. His stepmother just laughed and poured her and his father more wine.

“Trust me we've known that for a long time, did you know you can check internet history with your provider, so like I said don't stay out past twelve and have fun you two." April said never taking her eyes off the magazine in front of her, Finn just backed up and pushed Isaac along with him back to the front door and put himself back into his ultimate fantasy.

“Thanks for the good day Isaac, do you think you could ever take me to the moon?" Finn said holding onto Isaac's hand as he closed the front door and stood there. Isaac smiled happy that he was making Isaac happy; he dropped the flag and simply leaned into Finn. He lowered his cyborg legs, making a screeching noise as he stood even with Finn and the two kissed.

The two ignored that, caught up in the passion and then pulling some strings suddenly as Finn opened his eyes, they were on the roof. Finn laughed at Isaac and leaned back against the roof, treated to the sight of the most magical moon in the sky. The grey rock shined in the sky brightly and seemed to be taking up some unnatural portion of the sky. Finn looked down at his hands glowing in the light, and looked over to Isaac, smiling with his ego showing.

“How did you do that?" Finn asked as he looked at Isaac and just held his hands and looked at the night sky. He could see every star in the sky and every single part of the moon. He could see the seas and the mountains on the shining moon, every detail was there and he didn't know how to comprehend it, it was simply magic.

“Telling you would ruin the magic." Isaac said as he smiled with that grin and then frowned. “This might be our last time for piece, we might have to fight a slowly losing battle against them and this might be our last night of peace."

“I know and I always think that, but if we stick together then we will come out on top, we will be able to be the best and we will save this city and together I know that we can do it." Finn said as he leaned over and kissed Isaac on the cheek, Isaac smiled as both of them embraced together. Maybe this was the last night of peace or their last night on Earth, but to simply put it they would make all of it worth it in the end. As they kissed, Isaac floated him into the sky and he felt weightless and it was perfect, it was just the perfect night.

And yet elsewhere among Carson City, where others were enjoying the peace in the underground, others were planning and preparing for the future. Flashpoint walked forward, passing through a door and preparing. He looked forward at the screen and wondered how long it would be until the transmission came through, and as he waited the large screen stood vacant.

Flashpoint looked around the room, standing still as he looked at the room that might have rivaled the hospital in boringness. The floors were pale white and didn't even feature some sort of tiled pattern and then the screen came to life just as he felt the upmost boring ness come to him.

“Ah my leader everything has gone well, we now have the four that your require to continue in your plans, what shall we do next." Flashpoint said as he slid to the floor and bowed with his fisted hand on his right shoulder. His master cloaked in shadow smiled with his sly look. “If I may ask how you know that we could summon Livewire by bluffing the Outsiders?"

“Ah well then now you are asking the good questions, consider this I am a person of planning, I have seen this all before and history is repeating only this time I can control it, I plan everything and I manipulate, the chessmaster is me and right now everything is falling into plan."

Flashpoint smiled with only a hint worry, if his master could see into the future then what would it bring for him and was he just a pawn, only time could tell for him then.
