A squadron of three arwing interceptors are zooming through the sky, the one to left shoots down a fleeing transport which crash and explodes.

Fay says "Take that!" with a smirk and bubbly tone.

Katt says "Maintain formation, we'll pull back in five minutes."

Miyu and Fay say "Copy that."

Katt looks to the destroyed mountain and she says "Adam really hit em where it hurts, the entire line here is buckling."

Miyu says "A sizable force is still nearby, keep an eye out for anti-air."

The three aircraft begin to circle the area but the foliage is dense and trying to see anything underneath is impossible. Miyu tries to scan every detail with her eyes, trying to see if she can see Adam at all but she can't make anything out that catches her sight. Indeed Fay and Katt are doing the same thing, their gazes trying to see anything out of the ordinary but the trees are too obstructive.

Miyu says "I hope he made it out okay, it's been at least an hour since he contacted Fox."

Katt says "It's likely he's trying to shake the enemy off or trying to lay low."

Fay says "What if send a ground unit in?"

Miyu says "This is still deep enemy territory, it would be a suicide mission at best."

From a nearby tree an auto cannon opens fire at the trio of aircraft, Miyu fires a burst of laser fire which destroys it. The follow up was an entire anti-air group, mostly made up of flak artillery gun with a small number of autocannons and machine guns begin to open fire, Katt quickly does a strafing run to try to destroy as many of the artillery guns as possible before they could be raised, Fay and Miyu quickly swoop in and deliver their own cascade of laser fire, wiping out about a third of the small group. Katt quickly swings around as she arms the bomb launcher, one of the surviving cannons swings in her crafts direction and she launches the bomb, destroying the center of the battle group. The Sharp Claw flee their post and the three ladies leave the combat zone.

Katt says "Looks like some of them are trying to pack up as fast as possible." with a smirk.

Miyu says "Six hours in and already the U.C.R. have a foothold, at this rate this'll be a short war."

Katt says "I wouldn't count the dinos out yet, if they feel like their backed into a corner they'll hit harder."

Fay says "I agree with Katt, it's only going to get harder from here on out. The next defense line is made up of bunkers and fortresses."

Miyu says "I hear the humans have been developing a vehicle for such an occasion, but as far as I know it's not ready." as the three interceptors head back into space.

A U.C.R. carrier moves into position and launches a bomber wing and escorts, the sight catches their full attention. Having seen how tenacious humans are, this war could be the most devastating in Sauria's history. For Miyu, her mind goes to her brother, she thinks back to that time his eye was torn out and how powerless she felt... and now it's playing out again, this time however Adam was on his own and she didn't even have idea of where he could be. She glances to Fay who's glancing at her, Fay's features have concern written all over them, they both know Adam would've probably reported in by now and despite what was said earlier Katt was starting to doubt her own words, she had similar concerns. The three interceptors land in the Great Fox's hanger, they hop out and begin to reload their bomb launchers.

Miyu thinks 'Adam, please be alright.'

Krystal enters the hanger, she goes over to Miyu and she says "What's the situation down there?"

Miyu looks to the vixen, both of them are looking at each other with the same kind of sight, Miyu sighs and she says "From the war perspective it's going well."

Krystal says "And Adam?"

Miyu says "We couldn't find him, has he checked in?"

Krystal shakes her head and she says "No, Fox was expecting to hear from him after the factory was destroyed."

Miyu puts a hand on Krystal's shoulder and she says "We're all worried about him, but we have to remember he's behind enemy lines. More then likely he just can't contact us right now." with a light smile.

Krystal raises an eyebrow, she lightly nods in understanding of what Miyu is try to do and she says "Your right, in the meantime we need to reinforce the advancing human forces, their trying to claim the weaken lines right away."

Miyu says "After we're done re-arming we're going to sortie." with a light smile.

Krystal begins to head over to her cloudrunner and she says "I'm coming to reinforce you."

......

I groan as light enters my sight, I look around to see I'm in the opening of a cave, I look at my chest to see my wound is gone and my torso is fully healed, I say "Am I dead?", a loud roar in the distance catches my attention and a distant explosion joins in for moment and I say "How the heck am I not dead?!" as I feel my torso.

I hear a light bark, I look and I see a wolf move towards me, it's grey coat is clean and it's eyes look at me as it approaches.

I think 'A terran wolf? How did it get here?', I shrug the thought away and I say "Hey boy, what are you doing here?" with a light smile.

The wolf sniffs where my wound was, he licks my hand and he looks up at me.

I say "Yeah, I took a pretty good hit. I don't know how I survived that, but I need to find my gear."

The wolf goes over to a creavous and pulls out my backpack which looks pretty roughed, I thank the quadruped and I start looking over my gear. Most of my kit is just ruined, the arrows are splintered, the bow is a mess... everything save for the knife, canteen and my sword is now wrecked.

I say "Well, that's a bummer.", I take the bow apart and I say "But maybe I can still use the materials."

After I do a take apart most of the ruined gear, I look at my comm system and goggles to see if I can atleast get them to work for a little while. The goggles have a few parts out of alignment so it looks like I can fix that up, but my comms will be of no use from here on out and since the flare gun is busted so I can't signal for an evac but the flares can still come handy.

I think 'Ten flares, parts from a compound bow, a knife, my vibrosword, a dented canteen and repairable goggles...", I toss the ruined poncho at the wall and I sigh as I say "Damn, I'm in a survival situation... something I have no training for. I've seen such skills in movies and on tv, but I don't know how to properly use them."

The wolf grabs a thick branch with it's mouth and brings it over to me, dropping it near me feet. The branch is kind of rotted and covered in moss, I doubt I can use it but I think I know what the wolf wants to try to do.

I look to the wolf and I say "Thanks, but I think I might need a different piece of wood. I'm guessing you want to see me make a bow?" with a smirk, realizing how ridiculous this all is.

The wolf looks at the wood and back to make it look like it's nodding, I head out to see what I can find and I find many good examples of branches that are sturdy, I sigh and I start to work on to shave one of the branches with my knife. The wolf is looking out of the cave, I guess standing guard. I'm not entirely sure how much time has passed but the daylight soon fades and night comes in, but I have what I think could work as a bow, when it comes to doing the string... I have no clue so I just tie it up to where there are huge knots on either end, I test the string, it stretches well so I let it go and the bottom splinters off.

I sigh and I say "No big deal, that's why I started with my height." as I remove the cord from the compound and I start to shave more of wood off and making the length of the bow shorter.

The wolf looks to me and it lays down on a soft spot in the cave, which is moist dirt, so it's soft enough to not hurt your back but solid enough to not be mud. The wolf lightly barks at me which gets my attention, if I had to guess it wants me to get some sleep.

I yawn and I think 'Might be a good idea, I've been at this for what feels like forever.'

I lay on one of the moist pads of dirt, using the poncho as a folded up pillow, the wolf comes over and lays next to me.

I say "Hmm, I think you need a name. You seem kinda docile for a wolf, not that that's a bad thing. How about... Silver?" with a light smile towards the end.

The wolf looks to me and brushes against... what is with this wolf exactly?

I say "Silver it is." as I lightly pet him.

With the night sky now running it's course, Krystal, Katt, Miyu and Fay are on patrol and scanning for any anti-air or intercepting any enemy forces in the area.

Katt says "This sector is clear." as she confirms the lack of action with a bored tone.

Krystal says "Affirmative, proceeding to next sector."

Fay looks around, even in the dark the sheer damage from the human bombers is insane as evidence of high explosives and napalm are in abundance and she says "Good thing the humans are on our side."

Miyu says "They don't take prisoners, but given their enemy I think that's understandable."

Krystal opens her mind to see if she can pick up any thoughts, the same way she heard this worlds cries before joining Star Fox. She can hear multiple voices talking at once, humans and sinos laying out small talk about their homes and lives back home and some cases plans for after this war, the occasional battle talk from a field commander and cries from those who want this war that hasn't even reached a full day on Sauria to end due to the power the humans have already shown despite being such a small force. The humans however are frustrated, they can't seem to catch a break and this war is allowing them to release that rage, the most common phrase she keeps hearing is 'For the fallen!', a saying that the humans have made their own, one that conveys duty, loss, sacrifice, unity and pain. That phrase brings up one key moment, when Earth was engulfed in nuclear fire she saw the change of an entire species, the first one she saw this with was Adam himself, after that moment Adam slaughtered most of the remaining Venom forces, stealing kills from everyone else and reports of the evacuated populace trying to get the weapons on cornerian carriers to go after the Venom's themselves made a lot of people jumpy. But she sympathizes with them, her homeworld was lost and she's the last of her race and culture and she was angry about it for a long time, but she found release in a more peaceful way in the form of her friends and teammates.

A presence crosses Krystal's psyche, she smiles and she says "Ladies!"

Miyu says "What is it?" as she looks around expecting an attack.

Krystal says "I sense Adam!" with a warm smile.

Katt sighs in relief and she says "Thank goodness."

Miyu says "Is he alright?" with worry for her brother.

Krystal says "I don't sense any pain on his end, but I don't sense any enemies either."

Fay says "Hmm, his comms must be busted."

Miyu says "Let's pick him him up!" with a smile.

Krystal says "My telepathy isn't a gps, just because I can focus on ones thoughts doesn't mean I can pin point where they are. I can only give you a general direction."

Katt says "I'll inform Fox of the situation, the enemy likely has ambush positions on the ground at night so a night time search might not go so well."

Krystal says "But we can still perform recon from the air, Miyu and Fay, detach and search in a five minute spread."

Miyu and Fay acknowledge and proceed as ordered as Katt relays what's going on to Fox, Krystal looks at the jungle and smiles, but she senses another pressence with Adam, she isn't sure what it is but she can tell their is no hostile intent.

In orbit abord the Great Fox, McCloud hears from Katt on Adam's situation which puts his mind at ease on that front but the sight of the human battleship is where his attention is as it brings it's mighty guns into a broadside of Sauria, the main guns fire and within minutes Peppy receives varying reports of Sharp Claw positions being hit and in some cases outright destroyed.

Slippy says "Should we join in the attack?"

Fox says "We'll keep our missiles in reserve and our railgun loaded in case the enemy forces send a counter-force our way."

Rob says "The Sharp Claw ground forces have suffered 16% of military losses, factory output has regressed by 57% and their moral is degrading at a steady rate. All according to current data."

Falco says "A surrender on their end would be nice." as he crosses his arms.

Fox sighs, he knows that full well, they all do but they face an enemy that wont surrender.

Peppy says "Even with Adam's sabotage the mountains are going to a tough nut to crack and their too much anti-air to deploy behind enemy lines."

Fox says "If we could contact Adam we could see if he could recon, but we should extract him when we get the chance."

A beep sounds which catches everyone's attention, Fox nods to Peppy who puts the transmission through, revealing General Pepper and they all salute.

Pepper says "General Pepper here, we're sending reinforcements to your location."

Fox says "Affirmative, but now we're stuck between a rock in a hard place."

Pepper says "So I heard, the U.C.R. is working on a breakthrough tank, when it'll be ready is anyone's guess."

Fox says "A breakthrough tank?" with a raised eyebrow.

Pepper says "They didn't tell me much, all they could say that was going to be a super-heavy tank. In the mean time continue launching any operations you can to disrupt the enemy forces. Pepper out."

Fox looks to Sauria as the battleship fires another salvo and he thinks 'Hopefully this war ends before this planet is nothing but dust.'

I sigh as I look over the many broken examples of bows, splintered wood and shaving cover the cave floor and my knife is starting to run dull and I think 'This is far harder then I thought it would be.'

The past few days have been just me trying to get this whole bow thing to work out, but whatever I try to come up with it doesn't work.

I say "What I should do is try to get a signal out to the Great Fox for pick up, this whole 'behind enemy lines' thing was a terrible idea."

The wolf barks at me as if trying to cheer me up... I think.

I say "Look, I'm not John Rambo! I have no survival training, I can't just put a bow together!"

A light laugh catches my attention, I quickly ready my knife as the wolf growls.

A voice says "Je kxaj aj nxuk 0ei uho teadw, tudsadw uheidt kh0adw ke mubo u jamfco keec nxaco kxo nuh idvectj?" with a light laugh accompanying it, the voice itself sounds male but it just sounds really high pitched.

I say "Jxen 0eihjocv!"

A dinosaur slowly creeps out, it's bipedal but not a Sharp Claw, it's taller then me but not by much, the dino looks old, his headdress is adorned in feathers and beads, paint done is symbols mark his head and chest.

The dino says "A um WaveMind ev kxo LightFoot kharo, jemo ev eih jseikj odseidkohot 0ei u von tu0j uwe udt A tosatot ke semo vadt 0ei."

I put my knife away so that I show that I'm not a threat and I say "A'm Adam ev kxo Star Fox koum, daso ke joo u tade kxuk'j ed kne cowj kxuk teojd'k nuddu xulo mo veh cidsx."

WaveMind chuckles and he says "Vidd0, rik 0ei xulo misx ke couhd. A sud kousx 0ei u von kxadwj rik edc0 av 0ei te nxuk A ju0."

The wolf nudges me towards the dino as if to encourage me, a second ago this wolf was ready to turn this guy into mence meat... now it wants us to work together? What a strange animal.

I look to WaveMind and I say "A'cc te nxuk 0ei ju0, rik A doot ke wok rusb ad kxo vawxk."

WaveMind says "Opoccodk, fcoujo veccen mo." and leaves the cave.

I quickly grab what I can, I look to Silver and I say "If this turns out to be a trap, I'll have you for dinner!" earning a light whine from the canine as my stomach rumbles.

Over a span of hours we trek through the dense woods, go across a stream and even more dense foliage. We eventually arrive at a village, pitched huts and tents are strewn about and water practically surrounds the settlement.

WaveMind says "Nocsemo ke LightFoot Village."

I look around and I say "Ak'j rhoukxkubadw." with a light smile.

WaveMind says "Semo, no mijk joob Chief LightFoot udt wuad fohmajjaed veh 0ei ke ro xoho."

We weave through the village which earns many stares with some even darting, we make it to a massive stone structure, sitting on a throne is a LightFoot that resembles a dilophosaurus and he doesn't look too happy.

WaveMind says "A hokihd Chief LightFoot, A rhadw u nehkx0 roadw adtoot." with a light smile.

Chief LightFoot looks to me with a glare, he looks at the WaveMind and he says "A giojkaed 0eih sxeaso jxumud! 0ei rheiwxk ud eikjatoh xoho!"

WaveMind says "Kojk xam, nakx kxo hawxk keecj A kxadb xo mu0ro kxo edo no'lo rood jouhsxadw veh. Xo aj koummukoj nakx Fox, nxe fujjot eih khaucj uvkoh ucc."

I think 'Fox had a run in with these guys and he became part of this tribe?' with a raised eyebrow.

Lightfoot looks to me and he says "Te 0ei houcc0 bden Fox?"

I say "0oj jah, A'm Adam."

Lighfoot puts on a thinking look, his gaze going to Silver and he says "A nacc uccen ak, rik av 0ei vuac... no'cc ouk kxo vih rucc kxuk'j nakx 0ei!"

I look to Silver who looks at me and nudges me forward, I smile as I say "I'm glad you have faith in me boy.", I look to LightFoot and I say "Rhadw ak ed!" with a determined look.

LightFoot says "Weet, kxo vahjk aj kxo Tracking Test. 0ei mijk vadt kxo veih kekomj udt cawxk kxom nakx kxoah kehsxoj, A nacc walo 0ei kne madikoj veh kxo kojk. 0eih semfudaed nacc homuad xoho nakx ij."

I nod as I get ready, four totems in two minutes.... I'm in over my head but I have to try. My vision for some reason though stars to change, everything warps for a moment and now everything has a blue sheen, I glance around and I see something ablaze in a bright blue. I don't know what's happening but if this helps me win I'm definetly using it.

LightFoot says "WE!"

I start running, I look to the signature I saw as I go right, I climb up a ladder and I start running again once I get to the top. I see the structure and it's indeed a totem, I grab the torch and light it. I turn and I see another across the way, I look down at the water, I shrug and jump, for a breif moment I see the fish giving of some kind of aura... just what is this vision I'm expirencing? I leap from the water, I have to run a few corners around some bushes but I do get there and light it. This process repeats two more times, but I stand infront of the totem for a moment, noticing that the vision is going away, I look myself over and I see a faint light coming from the inside of my shirt, I pull out the eye of horus necklace that Krystal gave me and the crystal is a glow in shimering turquoise and along with my vision the light fades away.

I kiss the necklace as I think 'Thank you Krystal.' before putting it back in my shirt and head back.

LightFoot says "0ei fujjot kxo vahjk kojk, kxo dopk aj kxo Strength Test. MuscleFoot!"

A massively built lightfoot steps forward, we're taken to the near center of the village, a large wooden mechanisim that looks to circle around and on either side is a hole.

LightFoot says "Kxo vahjk ke fijx kxo ekxoh sedkodtoh adke kxo xeco nadj."

Muscle foot gets into position and I follow suite, LightFoot is lightly chuckling and I think 'Laugh while you can lizard breath.' with a smirk 'I have a war I have to help win and you are not going to get in my way!'

LightFoot says "ROWAD!"

I feel a great heft and MuscleFoot starts pushing, I dig my feet in which stops the wooden structure and I start pushing. MuscleFoot and I keep going back and forth, but I haven't eaten anything in a few days and my own strength is lacking, I try to see if I can get any adrenaline going... if I have any left at all. The wooden mechanisim starts to turn against me as my feet keep digging into the dirt, I close my eyes as try to keep my stance at least but it's not doing much. Suddenly I hear a howl... a wolf howl, I open my eyes as I look at Silver, he's howling at the sky itself... I think he's trying to cheer me on. I can feel something spark in me, something primal, something instinctive. With a heft of my own I stop MuscleFoot's advance, I glance to him... I don't know how I look to him but his face went from being confident to one of fear as if he was looking at something ready to pounce. I yell as I push, despite MuscleFoot's efforts he soon finds himself in the hole on his end, I let go of the wooden structure, trying to refocus my mind as I lightly stumble.

LightFoot says "Nocc tedo Utum, nocsemo ke kxo kharo." with a light smile, he looks to WaveMind and he says "Joo ke xaj ussemmetukaed udt wok xam udt xaj vhaodt jemo veet, A sud xouh xaj rocc0 u maco unu0."

WaveMind escorts Silver and I to his hut, he sits me down on a smallish bed made of somewhat soft materials and bring us some stew from a pot that looks like it's been going all day.

WaveMind says "Ouk if udt howuad 0eih jkhodwkx, jkuhkadw kemehhen no'cc rowad eih khuadadw." with a smile.
