Recovery means staying in bed

The next day I woke up feeling more rested than I have before. I looked around my bed and smiled at what I saw. All three of my pokemon were all sound asleep. Fira had placed herself in between my legs while Princess and Yuna were on either side of me. I looked around my room and noticed that my both my big backpack and my normal one was leaning against a chair on the opposite side. I carefully leaned forward picking Fira up from between my legs and carefully placing her to one side. She murmured a bit but stay asleep. I carefully pulled myself from the bed and stood up.

Of course my body ached in pain as I stood up, I felt my back pop as I straighten up. I carefully walked over to the window and peered outside. Snow was still coming down and all I saw was white.

I turned and walked over to my backpack. I pulled out a change of clothes, though I quickly realized that my room didn’t have a bathroom, it did have one for general use. But not for bathing. I wrapped myself in my cover and left my room. I slowly walked down the halls, leaning against the wall at some points. Finally I came to a desk where a Nurse joy was sitting at typing on her computer.

“Oh Will your up.” She said noticing me.

"Yeah I just got up a little bit ago.”

“How are you feeling?” She asked.

“A lot better than I did yesterday. Uhm where can I take a bath. I’d really like to soak in a tub.” I was quick to the point. “I notice my room didn’t have one.”

“Oh yes, this center has an open style bathroom that trainers can use. Lucky for you, your just about the only one here at the moment so you’ll have it all to yourself.” She said.

“Where are all the trainers?” I asked.

“I mean have you looked outside, this whole route is unpassable due to the snow storm.” She said.

“Wait where do you go than. Don’t you live around here?” I pressed on.

“You really are a curious one aren’t you. If you didn’t know, me and two other Joys take up residence here at the pokemon center. We have rooms up on a second story part of the building off limits to trainer of course. Its our living quarters.” She said.

“I didn’t know that, interesting.” I said genuinely fascinated by this.

“Aside from that, do you wish to take a bath.” She asked.

I nodded at her.

“The bath is further down the hall you can from at the very end. Make sure you use the mens bath and not the womens. I don’t know if the other girls are using it.” She said.

I turned and started back towards my room, i stopped to quickly ask. “Is my pokemon allowed to bathe with me?”

“I don’t see a reason why not. Trainers typically use them to bathe their pokemon too.”

I continued onward down the hall to my room. At entering my room I discovered the three were just starting to wake up.

“Good morning girls. Thank for sleeping with me last night. I had some of the best sleep in awhile.” I told them.

They all blushed at me, “So who up for a nice warm bath.”

All in unison they said, “I am!” I chuckled as I grabbed all I needed including a change of clothes. Though since I wasn’t leaving anytime soon I decided to just go with a simple shirt and shorts. I followed Nurse Joy instructions and headed down the hall towards the end. Sure enough at the end on either side were the open bath. I entered into the mens side and my mouth fell opened.

The room was huge, of course I saw cubicles with toilets but the main room was huge. On one side there were shower heads all line up against the wall where you could take a normal shower. Though I don’t feel comfortable with how open they are. Though what stood out to me the most was the huge tub in the center. Like it was as big as a full size pool. I wonder how deep it is.

I walked over to some benches that sat next to rows of lockers. I sat down placing my stuff on one side. I heard a splash from the pool, I looked and saw vaporeon swimming in the pool.

Yuna also followed suit and jumped in, only Fira remained on the side watching. Unsure as to jump in.

“Yeah we’re only one of three that have this kind of bath in our center. Most trainers make a pact to stop here every time they pass through here.” She said.

“That pretty cool, any way I must be getting back to my room.” I said.

“Do forgive me for prying though, what were you doing to your pokemon. I could here moaning awhile back but I didn’t want to intrude onto anything.” I stopped dead in my track. I looked at her with the best poker face I could muster.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

"Yes, I didn’t realize that we made that much noise in there.” I quickly returned to my room and closed the door behind me.

“You don’t she saw anything.” Princess said.

“No I don’t think so otherwise she would’ve pressed further. I think she only heard us. God we need to be more careful. I got carried away.” I said. “Anyway lets not worry about it. Are you three hungry?”

They all nodded. I went over to my backpack and pull out a dish for each of them. I filled them with poke food and placed them onto the floor for them. I on the other hand left to go talk to the main nurse up front.

Before I did I made sure that there wasn’t a café before I asked. “uhm may I have something to eat?” I asked.

Nurse joy smiled looking up from her computer. “Certainly what would you like? I can make most of anything you could think of.”

“I honestly just like a cheeseburger and some fries if that’s possible.” I said.

“Sure just return to your home. I’ll have it down there as soon as I can get it done.” She said standing from her spot.

I returned to my room to find all three laying on my bed. All of them seeming to be having a deep conversation.

“What are you all talking about?” I asked, they each jumped.

“Oh well you see, we were talking that from now on when we feel the need, we each picked a day for us to have special time with you without any interruptions from the other. Kind of like a one on one time with you.” Fira said.

I blinked blushing hard. “Some I’m suppose to be okay with this.”

“Are you not?” Princess said studying my face.

“Of course would be okay with it, just keep in mind. We have to be more careful and not get us caught by anyone. I can get into a lot of trouble. Like I’ve explain before intimate relationships with pokemon is taboo.” I told them.

“We’ll remember that.” Fira said.

Though a thought did pop into my head, what if I was wrong in thinking that its taboo. Pretty much everything I had thought and learned from playing the game in my world has been completely different since I’ve actually been in the pokemon world.

The only way to find out is to do some research. I noticed that there was a recliner lazy boy sitting in one corner of the room. I decided to go over and sit down, I pulled the wheeled table over so when Nurse joy came I could have her put my food on the table.

I grabbed the tv remote and turn it on. I decided to turn the nightly news on and see what was going on in the pokemon world.

“Hello ladies and gentlemen, I hope your bundling up. This unexpected snow storm seem to not be letting up anytime soon.” Said a man sitting at a long desk.

“We bring you tonights news to fill you in on anything pokemon and other affairs going on. As I stated most of Johto as been engulfed by a severe snow storm, there are some saying its not by natural causes as to how it suddenly appeared over the region. The only place untouched by it is of course the outer parts of the region. Cianwood town which is an island off the cost of Olivine. There are getting all the sun while we freeze over here. According to the forecast and what can be seen from it. This storm is expected to last for another week before starting to subside. My only hope is that it isn’t being caused by some pokemon. I’ve heard tales of some ice types being able to bring forth powerful blizzards. Well enough about that, we’ll be back after a short commercial break.”

I looked at my pokemon who were paying attention.

“Seem that we’re stuck here for awhile. Damn I didn’t expect this to happen.” I decide to pull my phone out and give Liona a call. Better to fill her in on whats going on.

It rang for a bit until finally. “Ah Darling how are you doing? Are you feeling better after what happened the other day. I saw what happened when the snow storm appeared.”

“Yeah I’m doing better, staying warm. I’m currently stuck at the pokemon center half between Violet city and Azelea town. I just saw on the news that the storm isn’t going to let up for about another week. So it seems I’m here for the foreseeable future.” I told her.

“Ah I’m sorry to hear that, I’m glad your at least have a place to stay warm and not out in that awful snow storm.” She said.

“You don’t think it’s Donmario doing this do you?” I asked.

“Its honestly a possibility as powerful he is. It wouldn’t surprise me if he is. Though do be careful. Stay where your at until the storm subsides. I’ll see if I can get an eye on Donmario to know for sure if he’s behind this.” She said.

I heard something loud crashed in the background on her end. “What was that?”

“Oh I knocked something over by accident. Well I gotta go. Stay warm and safe darling. Say hello to your pokemon for me.” She hung the phone up. By this time my door opened up and Nurse joy came walking in placing a plate down. A hot steamy burger and fries laid on it.

I thanked her, She also handed me a bottle of soda as well.

“Really thank you Nurse joy, You’ve been a great help. I’m glad I have this pokemon center to stay at. I heard on the news that this storm isn’t going to let up anytime soon.” I said.

She sighed closing her eyes. “Yeah I saw that too, I honestly don’t know how long the power is going to last though. We do have a direct land line coming somewhere else but if it get even worse out there we may lose power. We do have a back up generator but its out side in a separate building out back.” She said crossing her arms.

“Well if it comes to that, I’d be willing to go out there and start it up for you all if you need it.” I offered.

She nodded, “I think I’ll take you up on your offer Will. I am glad you’re here to help us if we need it.” She bowed and turn to leave the room.

I pulled the table closer and started to eat my food. Even though I didn’t have ketchup and burger was really good and the fried were nicely salted. I sipped on my soda which I found out tasted much like the drink before. I do love sprite.

“So at least we can keep each other warm though.” Fira said.

“Yeah especially you, since you’re a fire type. Your fire burns pretty hot you know.” I said jokingly. Fira blushed but also giggled. Princess watched the tv as the news came back on.

“Welcome back, so in other news. Hoein Region is also having its own weather disturbance as well. A massive typhoon has made its way into the region, causing flooding in low level areas. There are several towns already who had to evacuate to higher ground to escape the flooding. Earthquake are also to be said to hit most of Sinnoh region as well. There seems to be something going on that most do not have the answer for. Some pokemon Professor are asking the question is it a pokemon causing all this unusual weather. Professor Oak of Pallet town Kanto region which is the neighboring region to Johto has come forward stating he belief that it is in fact a pokemon doing this. But what pokemon it is he was unable to answer. Maybe its one of the legendries but why would they cause so much. Don’t they bring balance to the world.”

“You have no idea.” I picked my phone up again and dialed someone who I haven’t talked to since the beginning of my journey. I dialed Professor Elm.

It rang for awhile, I almost hung up until.

“Will what an unexpected surprise how you doing my lad.” He said, sounding genuinely happy to hear from me.

“Well other than having a near death experience at the hand of this storm. I’m honestly doing fine now. I’m currently staying at a pokemon center half between Violet and Azelea town. Honestly seeking refuge until the storm blows over.” I told him.

“Yeah we’re under 14 feet of snow over here in New bark town as well. This was surely unexpected. Don’t tell me you were actually out in this storm when it began.”

“I was, lucky for me I was saved by a local man who brought me here. Though I have a question for you.” I said.

“What is it?” He asked.

“In your honest opinion do you think this is being cause by a pokemon?” I asked, straight to the point.

“To be honest yes, I agree much with what Oak have already stated, but the problem is what pokemon is doing this and why. Will it stop after while or is it just going to get worse.” He said.

“To be honest I agree.” I thought long and hard about what i was about to reveal. “Can you promise me you can keep a secret Professor Elm.”

“Why yes, anything you want to talk about strictly stays between us. Whats up?”

“Have you ever heard of Donmario.” I asked.

“No I honestly haven’t is that a type of pokemon where your from?” HE asked.

“To be honest Elm.” I took a deep breath. “I’m not from this world.”

There was a long pause. “Not from this world, like this region?” He asked.

“No I’m not from the pokemon world at all. I’m from another dimension.”

“What how can this be, I mean there are theories of multi dimensions. But none has ever been proven before. Explain.”

I took another breath. I began to tell him the whole story so far, how Arceus had chosen me from my world to come into the pokemon world to help save it from growing threat. “A new pokemon was born sometime ago, and it was born in the space that exist in between dimensions. Its very powerful as it can create and destroy if it chooses to. I haven’t seen what he looks like but he is related to the goddess Arceus.”

“Wow that’s a lot to take in, and you think this pokemon might be causing all this trouble.”

“Yes, though I think he is just testing what he can do, he has the power to alter reality. A while back he appeared in my dream telling me in one year everything is going to come to an end. I have to be ready and stronger than ever to face him.”

I heard Elm take a deep breath. “That’s a lot to believe in Will. I could be like you watch to much tv. But with whats going on in the world. There is some factual evidence in your word. So the legendary god Pokemon Arceus brought you here to help save it.”

“Yes,” I said.

“Do you care if I at least reveal this to Oak to discuss with him and what we should do moving forward.” He asked.

“To be honest in my world Oak was known for his smarts, he was a legend.”

“What was your world like? Did pokemon exist there too?” He asked.

“Not entirely, my world invented a game that pokemon exists in.”

“Wait so pokemon was a video game in your world?” He asked suddenly really surprised at this,

“Yes you were in it as well. That how I knew who your were. Though most of everything I knew about this world has been fundamentally different in almost every way.” I explained.

“Wow that’s fascinating to think in some other reality pokemon is just a video game. So the entire pokemon world was comprised inside of a game.”

“Yes several of them exists, Kanto, Johto Hoeinn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos all resided in their respective games, yes they were all connected in ways but each game only covered a certain region.”

“Wow, well you gave me a lot to think about Will. I’ll give Oak a call and discuss what we talked about. I will be calling back in a few days to check on you. I hope you stay warm. Don’t do anything foolish. Wow from another reality. Fascinating indeed. Take care.” He hung up. I placed my phone down taking one last bite of my burger. I leaned back into the chair.

“So why did you reveal to him your origin?” Fira asked.

“Because I thought it was only right to do so. I just hope Oak is the only one to know about this. I get the feeling I’m going to hear from him as well.” I stood up and laid down in my bed. All three cuddle up to me.

“Wanna do anything fun tonight.” Princess asked. Nudging my groin.

“Not tonight. Maybe in the morning. I’m really tired and ready for sleep.”

Princess nodded, “Alright.” She cuddled up to me as did the other two.

I had Princess tucked into one arm and Fira in the other, Yuna had tucked herself right between my legs. Feeling there presence I slowly slipped off to sleep.
