With Fox having briefed us on what we're up against, it's now clear that the enemy only keeps it's best to defend their world. I am out of my suit, finishing my new sidearm, I put the last piece in place and begin to examine it. The weapon is about the size of an m1911, most of the weapon is black save for the pearl grips and at the near end of it on both sides are bronze plates read 'FOR THE FALLEN! FOR EARTH!', just under the barrel is a red laser sight, heat vents appear before the barrel ends, on each side are heat sinks and between the heat sinks and the grips are switches for different firing modes, this weapons name is Terra's Spite.

I hear "Are you sure you need that? I mean you still have your suit." it's Fox.

I say "I can't rely on it forever Fox.", I look to him and I say "I mean it'll wear out eventually and besides I need back up gear."

Fox says "Makes sense, but don't you also have a close combat weapon when you fight?"

I say "Slippy and I have been working on that, though a suit I don't have an idea for a backup. I'm not an expert on body armor."

Fox says "I know how you are, you'll think of something." with a light smile.

I holster the pistol and I say "I have a few idea, just nothing solid." with a light smile of my own.

Alarms for battle stations sound, Fox and I nod at each other and run towards the hanger, we arrive and begin to get ready as I get into my suit and Fox puts on a better armored space suit. The others join us as we ready our craft, they quickly gear up and make their way to their machines.

Krystal comes over and she says "All set hon?" with a smile.

I look to her and I say "As ready as I'll ever be... at least I believe so." with a light smile.

Krystal puts her left hand on my shoulder, she says "I'm sure you'll do fine." with a light smile.

Miyu says "Alright love birds, let's do this!" with a smile.

Slippy comes over with a large black case and he says "Hey Adam, got a sec?"

I say "Sure Slip, what is it?"

Slippy says "I finished your new weapon, though there's no time to test it."

I say "No worries Slip, we can consider this a field test if it comes to it."

Slippy and I load the case into the small storage unit of my fighter, we all get into our machines, ready to fight.

I hear Fox "I have just received word from General Pepper that human auxiliary forces will be joining us, also the enemy knows we are en route and are on high alert, we don't know what to expect so be careful. Good luck out there."

We launch to see the massive Cornerian battlefleet and two human auxiliary fleets, many fighters take the void, bombers flying in formations. Up ahead is Venom with the massive installation standing between us and it. We begin to close the distance, I arm my bomb launcher, eager to make an entrance somewhere, Fox gives the order for Rob to fire the railgun on the Great Fox, the shot comes through but a shield appears around the station, stopping the railgun shot dead in it's tracks.

I say "A shield?!"

I hear Falco "Here they come!"

Venom fighters, bombers and interceptors come screaming at us, their weapons blazing as they charge. Their movements being faster then usual, I quickly disengage the python and arm forward weapons as the venomian tide crashes into us, that's when I see it, the reason why the enemy is moving so fast.

I say "They have G-Diffusion systems!" in shock.

I hear Fox "Keep your guard up!"

I hear Falco "These are just mass-produced knock offs, no biggie."

An enemy fighter gets in my sights, I open fire, it quickly dodges even with my auto tracking enabled, it comes boosting at me with it's weapons blazing, I quickly roll out of the way, the fighter goes past me, I open up and it dodges again.

I say "No biggie Falco?" frustrated.

I hear Slip "Looks like they reserved all their ace pilots for this."

I hear Krystal "I'm not detecting any thoughts coming from them though."

I say "Mass-produced G-Diffusiors and a shield that can stop a railgun... I'm not ruling out that they have something that can block telepathic abilities!"

I hear Fox "I wouldn't put it past them either, stay sharp!"

I say "We can't even hit them!", one comes at me from the front, I say "Die scum!" as my laser blaze, the venom fighter rolls out of the way, it tightly turns with it's weapons aimed at my cockpit but it suddenly explodes and I say "What the?"

The wolfen and rainbow delta move in to join the fight.

I say "Star Wolf? But why?!" confused.

I hear Wolf "We're mercs kid, we always fight for a price so don't think this earns you a free pass!"

I hear Pepper "It's true, given the high stakes I had to make a deal with them."

I hear Fox "What?!"

An energy burst barely misses me and I say "Hey, here's a great idea I have, chit chat later and focus on what's in front of us!" getting annoyed.

The battle quickly comes to a standstill as the advanced enemy forces continue to counter us, though we are actually starting to shoot them down at least. I'm not seeing Panther's craft anywhere though, I guess the 'deal' wasn't good enough for him whatever it was. I notice that the shield stops our weapons fire and any of our craft that gets close but leaves their craft unharmed, which can mean only one thing.

I say "The shield must have a friend-or-foe system!"

I hear Slippy "As long as that shield is up we aren't gonna hurt it!"

I hear Fox "Every defense has it's chink, we just have to find it."

I glance around, I see a fighter nearing the station in a weaving way, I yell "COVER ME!" and floor the boost.

The Wraith goes screaming towards the enemy fighter, my teammates covering me, I ready my fighters autopilot as I have my helmet form, I grab the case Slippy gave me from my rear storage, I have my cockpit open, I near the enemy fighter, I have the auto pilot engage and quickly jump, the fighter pulls away but I grab on the starboard wing, I crawl onto the fighter as I glance to see my wraith pull away, heading towards the Great Fox, I get onto the crafts top, I arm my sword, I slice into the back, I shoot into the hole with my plasma rifle, the fighter begins to go out of control, it zooms towards the station and I realize... this was a terrible idea.

I say "What the hay, roll the dice!" as I store my weapons and break out the fuel rod gun.

The shoulder weapon fires, it smashes into a window which destroys it, I jump and land into the opening, the fighter however keeps going down, a seal forms where the window once was and I hear an explosion. My helmet folds back in and along with the fuel rod, the t-51 comes out and from my left arm a t-52 focus rifle emerges, I slowly walk down the hall, the air is blaring with the sound of the Venom's battle station alarm, my helmet forms again as chatter begins to sound, my weapons trained forward, a group of soldiers come around the corner, I scream as I open fire, the carbine punching through with it's radioactive ammunition the focus rifle sweeping like a flamethrower, before I know it the enemy squad is down, one tries crawl away, I walk up to him, I curb stomp him, a wet crunch sounds and I move on. Up ahead I see a console, I store my weapons and begin to look through it, it's just a map interface but that's all I need, I see where the shield generator and stabilizers are but I also find a room that catches my eye, drone control, I brush it away given the size of the station it's likely they they'll have drones aboard to help with it. I download the map to my suit and move on, the first stop being the shield generator.

Fox's point of view...

I say "Is anyone picking up Adam's signal?" trying to get his signal back on my readout.

I hear Slippy "No!" freaking out.

I hear Rob "Negative!"

I say "Krystal, can you find him?" as I get out of the way of turbo lasers fire.

I hear Krystal "I can't sense him!" with sadness in her voice.

I hear Miyu "I saw him enter!"

I say "Maybe Adam's right, they must have anti-telepath technology."

I hear Wolf "Can your friend bring down that shield?!"

I say "He's more then capable, we just have to hold out long enough!"

My point of view...

A combat drone falls as my carbine redirects to a soldier, it's radioactive ammunition blazing the room, the focus rifle lights up in continuous streaks, the last soldier comes storming at me, a long sword in his hand I dodge as best I can, I store my weapons, I grab his arms, I throw him face first into a wall, I stomp hard on his back, hearing snapping bones. I have my helmet fold in, I move over to the main control console, I begin the process of turning off the shield, I hear clanking but I disregard it as I just lit up the whole room with weapons fire and I finally get the shield turned off.

I hear "Adam! Thank goodness your fine, I thought we lost you!" it's Fox.

I say "The shield is down, I need back..."

A blastershot comes and smashes the console, I look and I see Panther walking towards me with a powerful blaster aimed at me.

Panther says "I now have you where I want you smooth skin!"

I say "Tell me kitty cat, are you ready to lose one of your lives today?" as my focus rifle and carbine appear.

Panther laughs and he says "How about I take away your toys kitten?!"

I growl and ready my focus rifle, Panther quick fires his blaster, striking the focus rifle which destroys it, the explosion sends me to the side, Panther comes at me with his sword drawn, he slashes which cuts the carbine in half, I 'quick draw' the plasma rifle and spray it's fire at point blank which misses. Panther comes to swing with my sword now active, he slices the plasma rifle and my blade gets his blaster, our swords clash and sends out blasts of light that spark.

Panther says "I've studied your arsenal, I know how to counter you!"

I smile and I say "That's what you think." as my fuel rod forms.

Panther says "Ha! I already know that weapon!" with a smirk.

I say "Who said it was the fuel rod.", I shove him off, my sword stores, from my right leg a type-50 concussion rifle forms and I say "Say hello to my little friend!" followed by both weapons firing.

The two high-yeild weapons are obliterating the room, Panther runs around, dodging the two mighty weapons, Panther tosses what looks like a chakram at me, it slices the wires to the fuel rod, I ditch the heavy weapon, Panther tosses another as I fire my concussion rifle, the second throwing weapon cuts halfway through the type-50 and the shot misses him, I yank the type-50 off, the sword forms and we clash again, I look at Panther's eyes, by the looks of it hate and anger seem to be guiding him.

I say "Tell me Panther, why do you have this vendetta against me? What have I done to deserve this?!"

Panther says "Because, you stole..."

I say "What did I steal?" confused.

Panther says "You stole her!"

I say "Stole her?"

Panther says "Don't play dumb with me, you stole Krystal!"

I say "What are you talking about?" getting irritated.

Panther says "So you don't know!"

I say "Know what?"

Panther shoves me away and he says "She and I were once together."

I say "I can see why she left, your a hack!"

Panther comes at me with a roar, his sword swings at me, my sword catches but then I feel this sharp pain hits me, I look down to see what looks like a large combat knife that's going through the body glove, he headbutts me which sends me against the wall, he cuts into the swords energy system and with his free hand twists the knife sharply, causing me to scream.

Panther says "From all the other humans I've tortured, I know your muscles are tensing, your nerves and brain synapses registering the pain in your abdomen and your body locking up. Which means...", his hand on the knife moves to my neck, he aims the tip of his sword at me and he says "YOUR DEAD!!!"

I spit at him, he growls, he brings the sword down which peirces through the white armor but a whine can be heard, a blue 'boom' comes from the impact site which sends Panther flying back, I look down to see a big hole where the chest piece was and I see the charm Krystal gave me, a blaze with power.

I smile, I say "Krystal.", I stand up, I drop the case from my fighter, I yank out the knife with a sharp yelp, I quickly take off my armor and draw my new pistol.

Panther gets up and he says "What was that?!" with anger.

I say "It's a charm Krystal gave me, I aim my pistol at panther and I say "And now I have a present for you!"

Panther readies his sword and he says "Take your best shot!"
