Charizard's POV

Charizard couldn't believe what he saw. Yet another one of his friends submitted to Marcus. Charizard started to get a little frustrated because Marcus never asked him how he felt. When Charizard was in the middle of his thought, he saw Marcus, Haxorus, and Salamence walking back, so Charizard hurried back to the camp site, frustrated. While Charizard was hurrying back to the camp site, he saw a cave, so he flew back down to take a look inside. The cave's walls were dark, crumbled, and.......just exactly what Charizard was looking for. He continued inside the cave for 10 minutes before he saw it came to a dead end.

He then saw the most perfect spot for his confession to Marcus. So Charizard hurried back out the cave so he can make it back to the camp site before Marcus. But, before he could head back, he had to think of a plan to get alone with Marcus. The question is.......how to do it. He loves Marcus with all his heart. He just doesn't know what to say or how to say it without messing up. Charizard started to feel very conflicted with this one issue. He wants to tell Marcus how he really feels, but he doesn't want to mess up. So, while Charizard was flying back to the camp site, he thoroughly thought about what to say to Marcus.

Marcus' POV

After Marcus "finished playing" with Haxorus, Haxorus never looked more happy to confess his feelings for Marcus. For the first time since his team came to the Hoenn region, Marcus was actually happy for Haxorus. He felt proud that he was able to see Haxorus with the biggest grin on his face. While walking, Salamence heard something in the bushes nearby. Marcus looked at Salamence with a confused look. "Something wrong?" "No. I thought I heard something." "Oh. Okay. Come on. We gotta go back."

Haxorus saw the look on Salamence's face. He saw Salamence looking up in the sky and saw that his nose was twitching a little. "You smell something, Salamence?" "Yea. Charizard. He must've been here not too long ago. You think he saw you and Marcus?" "Maybe. You think he'll be okay?" We'll have to see when we get back." Salamence and Haxorus heard Marcus say, "Something the matter? We gotta hurry back now." Salamence and Haxorus looked at each other before nodding at each other and started to catch up with Marcus. A few seconds later, after catching up with Marcus, Marcus looked back and saw their conflicted faces. So Marcus looked forward and stopped. Marcus then said, "Something's wrong, isn't there?"

Marcus sounded hurt, so Salamence and Haxorus had no choice but to tell him. "Charizard may have saw what happened with you and Haxorus, Marcus." Salamence said. Haxorus looked at Salamence to speak, but the look Salamence gave kept his mouth shut. Marcus, after a few moments of silence, said, "Let's just hurry back. Please." Marcus continued walking, thinking about what to say to Charizard. So, twenty minutes later, they finally arrived back at the camp site..........with Charizard no where to be found. Swampert, Sceptile, and Feraligatr saw Marcus and Feraligatr asked, "Ready to go?" "Not till I find Charizard. I'll be back to go find him. Salamence, come with me." Since Marcus just came from the south, he decided to head east.

Salamence's POV

Salamence saw the conflicted look on Marcus and he had to say something to him to cheer him up. Salamence knows Marcus only looks like this when he really is very deep in thought. "Marcus." Marcus blinked and had a confused look on his face, looked back at Salamence and said, "What's up?" Salamence walked up to Marcus and nuzzled his left cheek and said, "You know I hate it when you get like this." "Sorry. I think I have a feeling I know why Charizard was around. He probably thinks I don't love him. That's what hurts me." Salamence looked at Marcus and saw he was about to start crying, so he walked in front of Marcus and embraced him with his wings and softly spoke."Please don't cry. It's okay. We'll find him and ask him, okay? Just don't cry." "I wanna speak with Charizard.....by myself, Salamence. Okay?" Salamence looked at Marcus and saw the determination that he always had and said, "Okay. I understand." Marcus continued walking while Salamence turned back to the camp site.

When Salamence got back to the camp site, he asked Feraligatr and Swampert, "Do you know where Charizard went? Marcus is getting worried." Swampert and Feraligatr looked at each other for a second, then looked back at Salamence and Feraligatr said, "While you, Haxorus, and Marcus were gone, Charizard decided to follow you. I have no idea what happened because when he came back, he was crying saying Marcus doesn't love him and flew off towards the direction of a cave we passed before stopping here. What happened?"

Haxorus was now blushing so hard, his face was red as a Cheri berry. Swampert noticed Haxorus and asked, "Do _you _know what happened?" Haxorus was caught, so he had no choice but to tell them. "Marcus and I mated. I confessed my feelings for him." Swampert and Feraligatr now understood why Charizard was crying, but at the same time couldn't put together why.

Marcus' POV

Marcus continued walking through the trees and bushes for another fifteen minutes till he came across a cave. Right after he started coming closer to the mouth of the cave, he stopped. For some reason, it started smelling like fire, but a type of fire...........that Marcus knows. So Charizard must be around here somewhere, but it smells like he's in the cave. Marcus thought as he started walking inside to find his soon-to-be soulmate.

While walking inside the cave, he noticed the cave walls were oddly different than any other cave wall. They were carved straight and simple, like a wall inside a house. While walking deeper inside, he noticed he walked to a dead end. What he didn't notice was a fire going in the middle of the floor, berries bunched up in a pile on the left side of the fire, while on the right side, he noticed some words on the wall. He walked up to the wall and read the words aloud, "I went out to look for you Marcus. I need to talk to you......" while reading the rest, he didn't notice a certain fire type behind him saying the rest. Marcus got spooked and looked behind in a flash while he continued speaking, "about my feelings for you. Please don't leave." Marcus was even more confused now than he's ever been.

Normal POV

"Charizard! Don't scare me like that. Sneaking up on me like that. And what do you want to talk about?" This was Charizard's chance to tell him. "Marcus, you know I saw you, Salamence, and Haxorus, right?" "Yeah. I know." Marcus said with confidence. Now, Charizard was confused. "How you knew?" "Salamence was smelling the same I smelled going back to the others. You have a scent that only me and Salamence can pick up on." "Oh." Charizard, a few moments later, looked at Marcus with a face like his feelings were hurt. Marcus noticed his facial expression and asked, "What's wrong?" "Do you love me, Marcus?" Marcus was very confused with his question. "Huh?" "Do..you..love..me?" "Why would you ask me something like that?" "You love every one else....obviously!"

Marcus was now very confused. "Now, Charizard. You should be stupid for asking me that. I love my team, even those that hasn't confessed their feelings for me. I understand if they don't want to. But I didn't know you had those type of feelings for me. Everyone that confessed to me at least gave a hint, but you didn't give me any hint to pick up on till now. So, I'm sorry. I really didn't know........and besides, I know you saw me and Typhlosion."
