Chapter Ten: Mad World, Part Two

“So then, if I'm right this beacon should be right below us." Isen said as he looked at the beacon. He stood up and looked below them, a green field below them. He needed to get down their quick and catch up to Elliot soon. Seeing this possibility, he did order a private plane.

“Come one Solider, we're going to catch up before anything happens." Isen said as he walked over to the backdoor. He nodded at the pilot who clicked a button on his dash door. Grabbing a parachute and placing it on his back, he strapped it on his body.

“Are you sure about this?" Alex said as he strapped into his own, Isen ignored him and opened the door and looked out at the open landscape before him. Isen nodded at him and jumped out, Alex looked at the general before him and knew he had to follow.

Looking down, he wondered why he was following the mad man before him but still as the winds blew him around he tried to find what he was looking for. Below him around where the target should have been located, were three cars something was happening below them ad he had no idea what or why this was going on.

Blake looked as he was being attacked, Elliot pointing her gun at him. She had madness in her eyes and he guessed one of the forces in the next car had taken over her mind. A door open one way could be traveled through both ways. He looked forward and above him, two cars drifting out and stopping before them.

“Elliot what are you doing?" Blake said as he prepared to run away, he knew what would happen if he died and nuclear destruction was definitively something Elliot wouldn't want. He backed up in the car, grabbing on to the handle and hoped he could do a roll out of the car.

“You need to exit this chase now or face the consequences." Brightrock said through Elliot, relaying a message as the chase did seem to stop. From over the horizon, at least 200 hundred yards away, the demons got out of the car and above that a lizard and a shark standing as well.

“I'd say we get out of this car and join the party." Blake said trying to deal with Elliot as he stood up and opened the door. She looked inclined to do so, coping him while keeping the gun pointed at him. Walking forward he kept his hands up as the demons approached him as well.

Looking forward he himself was surprised to see a surprised Benji and Martin along with the demons before him. Walking forward, Elliot kept the gun against as the confrontation began. They stood together as they waited for one of them to speak, Elliot's eyes glowed red so it was really three against three in the long run.

“Now then why don't you give us Elliot back, and perhaps we could deal with the treasure later." Blake said as he tried to convince the demons to return Elliot to him and hopefully get the gun away.

“Elliot, Blake what the hell are you doing here?" Benji yelled as he and Martin joined the battle. The three were standing triangularly and staying at an even distance from each other. Of course as it seemed Elliot's side was unbalanced, as they were against each other.

“Chasing this beacon, we need the money. What are you doing here?" Blake said as he tried to figure out what was going on. Ignoring Elliot, he looked at the demons and wondered what they were doing. “Elliot, I think we found who took the treasure first."

“Yeah I think it's time to shoot you." Elliot said as Brightrock spoke through her, she placed her finger on the trigger. It was then that Elliot herself tried to fight back. The finger shook back forth as both sides fought for control. Her body shook and shoulders twitched.

“No, we can't shoot him. Yes, we have to." Elliot said as Blake stood still, looking still as he stayed a bit confident. Brightrock finally took complete control and pulled the trigger. Yet Blake stood still and nothing happened to him. Elliot pulled the trigger again and nothing happened again.

“You really thought that Elliot is dumb enough to leave ammo loaded before a battle." Blake said as suddenly Brightrock searched through Elliot's coat and tried to find the ammo, but even as she shook around her body and tried to find ammo.

“Oh, wait well then Elliot forgot her ammo, good for me." Blake said as the demon controlled Elliot turned towards him and decided to combat him instead. Elliot lunged forward and tried to strike him, Blake rose his arms and blocked her as the battle begun.

“Don't worry I actually have a way out of this, you can get on your way." Blake said as Benji and Martin quickly turned back towards their car deciding to escape with the dough. Brightrock and Darkwater seemed to be inclined to do the same as well.

Elliot jumped forward on Blake and knocked him down on the ground. She raised her first and slammed it into Blake. The green lizard grunted as his body was thrashed by Elliot. Surely he would get a black eye and something else that would hurt in the morning.

He didn't want to hurt Elliot, but he needed to free her from Brightrock's control. He pulled back his feet and placed it against her body, kicking up and pushing her off his body. She was knocked off and did a flip onto the ground. Landing near Blake stood up as he tried to combat her.

“Come on you must have figured out how I was going to free you already." Blake said as he extended his hands out and grabbed Elliot's on the head. The demon tried to escape from the grip and tried to slip out. “A good X-Ray blast!"

Blake's hands glowed bright and thunder crackled around Elliot's head, she shook and seizured as the demon tried to maintain the connection. Elliot fell on the ground and was knocked out, deciding to follow them. He then quickly dragged the dog and placed her with in the car.

Starting the car up again, he accelerated forward towards the car as he attempted to catch up with them. Suddenly two body's smashed into his windshield, cracking it and bringing the car to a stop. Blake stopped as the car came to a complete stop and the two people rolled onto the ground.

Opening the door he walked out of the car and looked in front of him and tried to figure out what had hit him. Looking at it he was confused as somehow all three Outsider agents had made it into the chase.

“Isen how the hell did you get here?" Blake said as he grabbed the wolf and pulled him up. Shaking him up, somehow a crocodile had joined them as well. Looking down at it, he tried to figure out what happened but as Isen woke up, he looked a bit stressed.

“That's why we should have used two parachutes; I knew we shouldn't have bought the union jack design." Isen said as he looked at the piece of fabric flying away in the strong Montana winds. Isen slogged around his body feeling heavy and being knocked around by gravity.

“Yeah, yeah, don't worry. We'll get you figured out in a second." Blake said as he pulled forward the front seat and placed Isen on the seat. Making sure he was buckled in, he closed the door and looked at the crocodile. Deciding not to abandon him, he placed him in the car as well.

Making sure everyone was buckled in as well and going to be safe, he stuck the beacon scanner on the dashboard and made sure it was still as he drove off towards the destination. Driving forward, he tried to figure out where they were heading.

“How the hell are Elliot and Blake here, how'd they know that the treasure is with us?" Martin asked as Benji drove faster than normal trying to escape from the demons and Elliot. Benji looked intense, he looked like he wanted to win and if Benji wanted to win than he would.

“No, idea but we're losing gained time. If Elliot is chasing us than she must want the money treasure as well, and this car and the money duffle is what the demons had as well." Benji said as he held his hand up and a bowling ball formed in his hand. “Throw this on the road, this should keep them back."

Martin took the ball in his hand and rolled down the window.

“Are you sure you want to do this chase, we could just team up with Elliot as well. Defeat the demons and split the money between ourselves." Martin said trying to convince Benji that the chase might as well have been pointless.

“No, this money is for BOO. If Elliot gets this money than she'll put it to the Outsiders. You know what that means; with us taking the money she had a reason to do a full scale war against BOO. I doubt she would, but if her superiors get wind of this." Benji said explaining himself to Martin, as the lizard figured he had a reason to do so.

Throwing the bowling ball out of the window, it shattered against the road. The bowling ball splashed on the road and it crumbled all over the road. Looking forward, Martin hoped that Benji knew what he was doing; because if he didn't they would be in quite a bit of trouble.

“What the hell is that!" Brightrock yelled as he served out of the road, driving around the shards of glass or something on the road. Nearly crashing off the road, he barely was able to control his vehicle. Shook up, Brightrock looked forward.

“Whatever, whoever stole our money this is war. I swear I won't give up until I get this money." Brightrock said to Darkwater as he looked at the dog. He looked forward in the car and decided it was time to activate his powers. Raising one of his hands, behind him the mesas around them shook and the Earth shifted as well.

“Something's happening Benji, we can't keep this up." Martin said as their car was shaking on the Earth. Above them on the mesa, rocks started to fall out of their set place and towards them. Martin looked around and nodded at Benji, opening the door and looking out the lizard jumped out.

Matching the car speed, he landed on the ground and kept up with Benji as he ran parallel to the car. Benji rolled down his window and held out his hand, in it a large glove like device formed, something to go over his hand and allow him to smash rocks without killing himself. Throwing it to Martin, Benji slowed down allowing the lizard to go ahead.

Pulling back his fist, Martin ran against the wall and jumped up onto it. Benji looked as he saw Martin running on the wall, the shark pulled down his sunglasses and made sure what he was seeing was the truth. Martin clashed with the rock fall, smashing it to pieces as the rocks down.

Martin kept his fist forward making sure to track all the rocks that were being sent at Benji. Looking forward, the largest rock dislodged and looking at it he became reckless. Martin ran forward and lowered himself, he prepared to face the rock.

Twisting his path, he ran at the rock and prepared to collide with it. He smashed into the rock and crumbled some of the rock away. He realized that it would have blocked the rock. He quickly ran a circle around the rock and lunged his fist into it. Keeping his speed up, he felt his body being crushed as he tried to keep the rock straight.

Martin suddenly felt his body slip and his feet fell out from under him. Hearing the screech of Benji's car stopping behind him, he knew his overzealousness may have caused the shark to give up the chase. He couldn't stop this and disappoint Benji, he needed to keep the chase up. Benji needed to finish this for himself and for the BOO agents.

“Come on, let's see if this works on my arms." Martin said as he pulled his fist back and threw it forward. His fist glowed blue as he sped it up and he smashed it into the rock. Catching his balance, he walked forward and activated his power. Quite quickly he ran forward, speeding his body through the rock.

Looking around all the rocks were taken care off, he took a few breaths and ran back towards. Benji allowed Martin back into his car and the two drove off again, continuing down the mesa trying to keep ahead of the demons behind them.

And for the next two hours nothing happened, it was a sort of a cold war waiting for someone to mess up and then strike but as they passed through small towns, Benji leading the pack, even as Elliot, and Isen came to both of them wondering what game Benji was playing with them.

They traveled south going through Wyoming and its state. All the way they finally made it to the half way point through the country. Traveling through the country, making their way through the city. None of them had an idea on what they were really doing except waiting for something to happen.

“What the hell is he doing, we've been here for three hours. If he's waiting for something to happen then it's time for something, Isen bend his car." Elliot said as she finally decided that she was tired of Benji's game and decided to put an end to it.

“But madam, couldn't we say do something a bit less destructive to such a nice piece of machinery." Isen said as he looked forward in the car, knowing that destroying something so beautiful would be like crushing a butterfly. She looked at him knowing he couldn't be convinced.

“Wait you take orders from her, I thought you were in the BOO army, not some stupid Outsider." Alex said as Isen realized that his ruse was up, not to say there was much of a ruse in the beginning anyway. Elliot groaned at this and really had no patience for this.

“To be fair, I did never say that I was a part of BOO." Isen said as he argued back and looked at Alex, who looked like he might jump out of the car, that he was so angry. Elliot groaned again and looked at Blake who was focused on chasing Benji, it had turned a bit more interesting, now they were on the interstate.

“Get out the way!" Blake yelled as he honked his horn to the driver in front of him. Changing lanes, he pulled up to the side of the trust and looked forward at Benji and the demon cars. Waiting a few seconds he pulled in front of the truck.

“Yo Croc-Boy what are your powers." Elliot said as she decided to take control of the situation. The crocodile looked at her and tried to ignore her as if silently protesting against the criminal ring they had set up under his nose. She laughed a bit and then scanned in his mind.

“You can control wave functions, the stoke engine is a wave function. What if you decrease the altitude of both strokes and then you could bring the car to a stop." Elliot said as she placed the mental suggestion into Alex's mind, making sure he had the intension to do so.

“Good idea just need to find the wave." Alex said as he took the suggestion and putting his hand forward it glowed green. A sound of humming came off of it and Elliot felt a bit relaxed as she listened to the humming.

“Come on over the shifter!" Benji said as he pushed himself over the rod, trying not to shift themselves into reverse. Martin was over him, trying to get in the driver's seat and take over from Benji as the driver. As Benji placed the car in cruise control, he hoped there were no curves ahead.

Yet as he let go of the gas petal, the car stopped and they started to slow down which was especially more worrying than normal. Martin placed his foot on the accelerator and was surprised when it didn't react to him. Benji looked over and was surprised when he saw the car not reacting.

He grabbed the wheel and pulled it towards, him crashing it into the wall. Benji breathed and readjusted looking over, he saw Martin and he looked alright. A truck then passed, the car shaking and their front mirror getting knocked off. Opening the door and grabbing the duffle bag, he pulled himself onto the top of the car.

“So then Elliot, you want to play in the big leagues?" Benji asked as he appeared in his mental mindscape. Visualizing the situation he stood before Elliot and tried to put together what she could be thinking. Get into her mental process and put together her idea of what was happening.

“This is a test; I knew this was all going to happen. I am going to push you to your limit, see how far you'd be willing to go for Martin, see who you're really loyal to." Elliot said, presenting the first possibility. Benji shook his head at that, knowing that even that she wouldn't be that dedicated to torturing him.

“All of this, the duffle bag, the money; all a gift presented to you. All of this is a hologram a mental projection, same reasons." Elliot said again, she looked unnatural. While a possibility it didn't look like something she would say, he needed another reason.

“This is a massive coincidence, three Outsider agents, two BOO operatives and one rouge shark all chasing after the same price, but don't forget the demons. They want the money for some reason too? That is the question you need to ask." Elliot said, yet after saying that she didn't disappear and respawn. “All of this could be ended now, all you have to do is surrender and ask the demons to not attack. They'd listen, they haven't attacked you as well. This could all be over now and yet you continue for your own selfish, stupid, reasons."

“The hell are you doing?" Martin asked as he climbed to the top of the car as well wondering what in god's name Benji was about to do. He looked nervous, something pushed him. He feared for himself, Martin only saw that face when he was about to kill Scott, Benji was about to act very stupid.

“This is what Elliot wants, if this is the game she wants to play then consider me the highest bidder because this isn't a game anymore." Benji said as Martin tried to convince him otherwise. Yet Benji looked at the passing trucks, and quickly formed a grappling hook. Firing at the trucks, he grappled on and was flung away from Martin.

“Oh god, he is going to kill himself." Martin said as he decided to chase after Benji as well. Using the trick from before, he ran against the guard rail and jumped, doing a backflip onto over the interstate, he landed a few trucks behind Benji. Perhaps if he didn't lament he would only be one truck away.

“Benji what are you doing, you're going to hurt yourself!" Martin yelled as he tried to communicate with Benji three trucks up. He looked hurt, confused and like he didn't have much of an idea of what to do. He needed something to guide him forward.

“I don't care, if they're going to chase after me and try to hurt you and me; nearly killing us and crushing us. This isn't a game anymore, this is live and death; they made us this serious, I'm only doing what they want." Benji said as he jumped to the next truck, barely making it.

Martin crouched down low, making sure he wasn't being that aerodynamically interruptive. Running forward, and with ease; he jumped to the next truck and followed Benji. Looking below him, Elliot and the demons were chasing him like it was some sort of sixties comedy movie.

“Get away from here, haven't you done enough damage already. Back off!" Martin said giving a warning to Elliot, not that she could hear him. Though she could probably still see him and or read his mind. Then he felt her probing through his mind, putting up his barriers he felt her recede.

Running to the next truck, he saw Benji try to make the next jump; before he backed down. That was good in Martin's mind, Benji was still thinking logically; not making completely impulsive decisions. Benji was still going to be saved, having him be a logical thinker would only help in the process.

Standing on the truck behind Benji, Martin made the next leap on to the next truck. Elliot and the demons were staying behind Martin as he walked forward towards Benji. Benji wasn't moving, he looked sad and depressed and as Martin walked behind, the lizard placed a hand on his shoulder.

Benji turned around, different. His eyes were glowing, they were red and evil. The shark pushed him, Martin not expecting the blow was nearly knocked back to the end of the truck, barely escaping due to his powers. Behind him, the truck behind started to slow down not wanting to become involved with what was happening.

Martin was trapped, no trucks to jump to. He would have to combat Benji if he wanted to fight. Standing up, he blocked a blow from Benji. Luckily as it seemed Benji left the duffle bag under a two hundred pound weight so it wouldn't blow away.

“I don't want to fight you demon, if you give up we might spare you." Martin said completely bluffing. Not that he was going to show that. Throwing a punch, Benji grabbed that and Martin realized he was trapped. Grabbing the grappling hook off of Benji, he held on as the shark had his life.

“Sorry, I'm not stupid. Unlike this shark you are incapable of hurting anyone without feeling horrible, you are worthless and nothing. Shame that you got powers and a normal body as well." The demon possessed Benji said with Brightrock's voice.

Martin cowered as Benji threw him, he flew off the trucks side, holding onto the grappling hook as he swung around and smacked into the side of the truck. With his life depending on if he could continue to grab a grip, he made sure his hands were glued to the grappling hook.

Elliot pulled up next to him, probably to do some taunting but instead, Blake who was driving got out of the car and stood on the roof. Elliot switched over, barely gaining control as a turn approached.

“Give me your hand, I can reset Benji and kick the demons out of his hands!" Blake said as he held out his hand, Martin placed his feet on the wall and kicked. He swung off the truck and towards, Elliot's car. Until an inpatient driver got in the way.

A man swerved in front of the group, Blake was nearly knocked off as Elliot had to back off, and Martin's grapple was knocked off the truck. Landing on top of the impatient driver's car, Martin got down fearing the worse. And worse did happen the driver started to swerve back and forth trying to knock Martin off, but the lizard stayed strong.

His grappling point to Benji disappeared as another truck pulled up and blocked his view. Martin reacted, grappling onto the truck and swinging for it. Holding out his hand, he grabbed Blake as they were pulled into the truck. Landing onto of the truck, they stood still as Benji turned around and looked at them.

Martin's grapple disappeared being replaced by a large gun, pointing at Martin, instead it flew out of his hand as Isen reacted. Looking down, they saw the white wolf reacting from the car. Instead Benji then formed a mace, which was knocked away and shattered.

Martin jumped onto the truck and as did Blake as it tried to jump away, they outnumbered Benji and he knew that. Trying to get away with the money Benji looked for a way to get out but found none as all the trucks were gone.

“Hold him in place, I can give him a system reboot." Blake said as he held his hands up and his fingers glowed. Martin decided he had no better choose than to do what he said.

Martin grabbed Benji and held him in place, the shark wrestled him acting more like a crocodile as Blake approached. Grabbing Benji's hands and keeping them away from the other, Martin struggled trying to keep his boyfriend in line. Blake approached and placed his hands on Benji's head.

Martin let go of Benji and the shark seizured as his body feel to the ground and his eyes looked normal. They both looked at the duffle bag and Martin quickly grabbed it. Standing back from Blake, holding the duffle bag; Martin was determined to continue for Benji.

“Give this to me and I can make sure that Elliot will give you a share of the money, give up and we won't press charges for multiple counts of premeditated endangerment." Blake said as if he was some sort of criminal, as if his own reasons for going on this chase were riotous enough to justify his own endangerment of the public.

“No." Martin said as he grabbed the duffle bag and Benji. Jumping up, he lunged over the truck and went off the interstate. Running into the grass fields, he tripped, Benji and the duffle bag coming along with him.

“Elliot's he's gone rouge; their looks to be a pullover up ahead, I'll keep track of him from here." Blake said as he contacted Elliot on his phone. He looked at Martin as he ran through the grasslands. He turned around and looked into the car as the demons realized what was happen.

Running through the grass fields, Martin's face was filled with tears. He ran through the grass, pushing out of the way and trying to get away from behind. Finally the duffle bag caught on something and he tripped, his body crashed into the ground.

“So this what it's come to; you running away from the Outsiders. You're going to become a criminal, all for you and your boyfriend's ambitions. The money belongs to my master and thus when he dies, it belongs to me." Elliot said as she spoke to Martin from his mind palace.

“It's not fair, this is for Benji. I deserve this, Benji needs this. He needs to be healed." Martin said as he tried to convince Elliot of his cause.

“What does Benji need to be healed of, he is normal. This was all a coincidence, everything you finding the car, the money the treasure. Everything saying it was meant to happen was Benji's mental construct trying to convince you of what he believed!" Elliot said standing before Martin in the pitch black room, he was on his knees, mental images of Benji and the treasure next to him.

“No, this is our treasure. You can't take this away from us, you can't!" Martin cried as he tried to convince Elliot of what was happening. He was shivering, his body was being destroyed, his mind was falling apart. Breathing in heavily and quickly, Martin placed his hand on his heads.

“Martin, we can't keep this up. This needs to end now, you only got half way through the country I'm sorry." Elliot said as she tried to give her sympathy to Martin, she looked at the lizard standing in his own tears. He was surrounded the money had to be theirs.

“Ok listen, two weeks ago you couldn't even stand the sight of Benji and know you feel like your indebted to him; you don't have to do this. You can give up Benji will understand." Elliot said as she placed her hand on Martin's back trying to comfort him and get her back on the Outsider's side, she might have been able to spare him.

“Ok." Martin said as he stood up, Benji shook and he awoke. Elliot backed up as she saw Benji stand up. She knew what he could or would do when he was surrounded, he lunged at the money and grabbed it. Forming a tiny piece of metal in his fingers he held it up.

“I'm sorry, I don't know what you're trying to threaten." Elliot said almost dead pan as she held her hand on her gun. She waited for Benji trying to do something, it was very crazy. She was expecting something big loud, but instead he only placed his hand on the duffle bag.

The duffle bag glowed and Elliot recognized what was happening. She ran forward, but Martin grabbed her, damming himself and Benji to hell. The duffle bag teleported away but something stayed. Instead like a trophy was a golden cast mold, two thunder strikes on the radial side and one on the top.

“You asshole, you goddammed asshole; I gave you so many chances. You've killed so many targets, I can dam you so much that the system won't have any idea what to do with you." Elliot said as he hands clinched, her face turning red and vessels swelling as she pushed Martin off of her. “And you Martin, you could have saved yourself, but you had to be an accomplice."

“He did it, he finally did it." Blake said as he contemplated what had happened and how far Elliot had been pushed, pulled and utter destroyed by Benji.

“I will be so glad the day I never see you again, you can't lose can you. And this is how you do go to hell, all of it is going to end today." Elliot said as she reached over to Isen and he handed her two handcuffs. Martin said nothing as he was clamped, a teleport activating and taking him away.

Elliot walked up to Benji and looked at the shark face, immortality; he could never die. She could torture him forever, she that pretty face never dies and make sure he felt the hell he deserved to feel every day for the rest of his immortal life. She smiled, placing the cuffs on his hands and making sure she didn't release the teleport button yet.

“Tell me where you sent the money and I can save Martin, are you going to dam him or not?" Elliot asked Benji trying to convince him to give it all up and save his partner. She knew how he might answer, how he and Martin were in this together but he knew how to get him to snap.

“Greed compels you, but sharing with BOO was never enough for you." Benji said trying to give Elliot a speech on the reason she sucked. Pushing her to the limit was not enough, if she didn't stop soon she would find herself standing before the complete and total wrath of the shark. He smiled as she teleported him away.

“Martin's a BOO agent, I will not stand for this!" Alex said suddenly jumping away from Isen. “This is an injustice against our platform, if you do not return him to us when you return to Boston we will be forced to kick you out of our base!"

“They cannot kick us out if they do not know we have Martin and they cannot defeat us if they do not know we are coming." Elliot said smiling a bit as she grabbed Alex and placed her hand near Isen.

The white wolf grabbed the handcuffs but held them for a few seconds. He stood in place for a few seconds trying to figure out in his mind what to do.

“Isen, give me the handcuffs!" Elliot demanded, when he didn't respond she grabbed them out of his hands and cuffed Alex. She smiled a bit as she waited for him to perhaps say some final words and speak for himself.

“You've started this Elliot, if there are any shreds of humanity in your soul, I advise you to be careful and for the shreds to listen. Listen to your heart, your brain is telling you this is right; but you are betraying your friends and after that where will you go!" Alex said, but as he finished Elliot knocked him letting go of his handcuffs and teleporting him away as he fell on the ground.

Pulling out her gun she quickly fired two shots, one for each demon. They fell to the ground, forming two masks as she walked over grabbing them. She looked at the group of two before her and they had shame on their faces.

“We are changing; we can no longer deal with not being the top dog. Today we will overtake Benji and Martin, then tomorrow we take out the rest of the fractions and then BOO. If anyone has any problems with this speak now!" Elliot said as she walked away, her face smiling as she knew what she finally had to do.

Benji stood on the floor of the BOO base, he was surprised at the length of time that Elliot had managed to set it up. Looking around he must have been put in cryogenic suspension until she arrived, not that aging or waiting was a problem.

Elliot and Blake stood before them, the green lizard looking saddened like he felt something was destroyed. Next to them he saw the spoils of the war she was playing, the trophy from the treasure and two masks. Perhaps Brightrock and Darkwater's, if he could only grab them then he might escape.

Remembering he had powers he put his hand up and tried to summon a gun. Suddenly an electric shook spread out from the room and onto his body. It hit his hand and he was unable to summon, the room he was in presumably had anti-Benji fortifications. He was as normal useless.

“Now then tell me where the treasure is or Martin will feel the pain." Elliot said smiling as she held her hand on a lever. He looked over at Martin, who was next in line and then Alex. He presumed that she was going to attempt to get a lot of information out of him before the end of the night.

“Don't worry Benji, tell her what you want to tell her. Don't fall to her trap; I can take anything she throws at me." Martin said as he tried to convince Benji that he wasn't in danger. Benji nodded back and looked at him.

“Thank you, I believe in you. I won't let her hurt you!" Benji said as knocked on the wall between them, a forcefield appearing as he knocked. He looked through and tried to make sure Martin was alright. He was tired of putting Martin in danger and after he escaped, maybe they would retreat to some sort of bubble wrap resort in the mountains.

“Listen Benji, this is for you all for you. I understand now, I get your destiny, you, everything, how everyone fits in. I saw it in Bright's simulation dream; he showed me what had to happen!" Martin argued as he tried to convince Benji of his own importance, both of them important to the future.

“No please don't be so fixated, I know what I am need to do. I am a brash, horrible, disgusting, somewhat ugly cute, mean, selfish shark. I make everything up and sometimes don't even care about who is hurt in the end. You don't need to agree with me, you don't need to follow me!" Benji said trying to convince Martin of who was really important.

Martin frowned, slumping to the ground and falling as his faith in Benji was seemly destroyed. Benji looked away, he didn't want to see Martin at his worst, just as the other was true as well. Yet their he was slumped over and destroyed.

“First question, where is the location that you sent the treasure?" Elliot said sounding calm as she looked at Benji, his mental safeguards were up and she couldn't get into his mind and find the hellhole he sent the treasure into. He smiled knowing where it went but he was still calling Elliot's actions as a bluff.

She pushed forward on the handle and suddenly he heard Martin cry out in pain. And she didn't stop as if giving a free sample she continued to shock him even as the point was dragged across the carpet. He knew that he had to confess the location but if he did what Elliot could do with the money.

“Speak up now, before my hand slips." Elliot said as she pushed the lever to the quarter way position. Martin splashed against the floor, like a fish breathing for air and Benji had a choice, would Elliot go all the way or would see try something else. He needed a way out, he always had a way out.

“Oh, I'm sorry three fourths!" Elliot said as a fake sadistic smile formed across her face. Martin screamed in pain and then nothing, he said nothing and Elliot smiled further. She pushed the lever all the way, the cage was engulfed in electricity and then the breaker shorted out.

With a large bang, the panel sparked and the electricity from the room disappeared. Benji ran towards Martin's cell trying to find a sign of life, his heart dropped. A frown formed on his face, his fingers shaking and body depressing and then something amazing happened.

As if given a second chance Martin stood up, the lighting didn't even seem like it affected him. He walked to the wall and looked at Benji, Martin smiled and looked at Benji. The shark could have felt the love and affection from a mile away, it was like an angel standing before him.

“Benji, I'm dying." Martin said as he placed his hand against the forcefield, Benji did so as he realized what was happening. He looked around presumably his last look at the world around him, and a tear was shed as he realized that was the last he'd see of Benji.

“Alex, under the name of BOO I command you to protect us and protect Benji, this is my final order." Martin said as he turned around and gave a salute to Alex. Alex realizing what was happening, smiled and saluted back giving him a nod as well.

“Yes Sir!"

“Good, now then Benji, I won't have long until Elliot fixes the circuit. I am going to die and I am incredibly afraid, but I figure if you can do on a daily basis so can I." Martin said bringing a smile to his boyfriend's face as he tried to save the shark's soul. “You are going to be angry, incurably angry, and angry at Elliot and everyone. Stop them, don't kill any of them, and change their minds. You are so good at that you don't even know it, make that your superpower."

“But you won't be there. How can I ever be happy without you?" Benji asked as he tried to convince Martin not to die. His voice sounded sad and pitched and scratchy; he was trying to hold it in, be brave for Martin.

“Maybe you will, maybe you won't but I know that crocodiles are similar to lizards. Alex is going to protect you, move on from me, but don't forget me. People don't die when they're dead, people die when their forgotten, don't let me fade away." Martin begged as he tried to find a suitable way to say goodbye to Benji.

“In the end it doesn't matter does it, be a good man or not and we all go to hell; Benji stay strong for me don't let the revenge inflict you, don't ruin my death this is my moment, and remember the moments lost in time, like tears falling in rain, time to di…." Martin said as he fell again, taking his last breath and holding his hand out.

“Oh, ok." Benji said as his face froze, the shark stood standing there with his mouth open. He kept his hand straight, and pulled his hand away from the window.

“Now then, time for our little eternal punishment, every eon, every millennium, every century, every year, every day, every hour, every minute, every second, dying and coming back forever." Elliot said as she pushed the lever up, Benji hoped that at least in his brief visits to hell he might be able to see Martin.

However, as she did next to her the table with her war spoils started to shake. And then the masks disappeared, Benji smiling suddenly. He prepared to summon the masks but then the trophy, picked itself from the ground and flew at Benji. The shark was blindsided as it stabbed him through the chest.

Nearly instantly did he die falling on the ground with the trophy in his hand. Elliot walked forward, looking at Benji as he died. Elliot covered her face, and then Benji disappeared. She looked at Alex and saw he saw still there and wondered what had happened.
