The entry to the bridge lays ahead of us, it's blast door has been lowered and it's seals are firmly locked in place, I begin to get to work on the blast doors seals seals while Fox begins to work the console and covers our rear flank. As I unleash the blasts of intense heat from my sidearm, my mind wanders back to Earth's destruction, back to when humanities extinction occurred almost in an instant as over seven billion lives were snuffed out in just a few dreadful hours... for those lost their will be above all retribution, even if it's the last thing I do.

Fox says "Prepare for heavy resistance!" as he finishes.

I say "I'm counting on it!" and I fire at the last seal.

The seal is breached almost instantly and with it the blast door rises as I switch back to full auto. The three of us storm the bridge, I can feel a surge of anger wash over me as the first venom comes into view, a scream escapes my mouth as I charge ahead of the two foxes, my sidearm blasting wildly and my axe cleaving through the enemy with each swing, the first few didn't even have time to get their weapons ready as my stampede caught them off guard, the next few were able to fire their blasters with a few even hitting me but I felt nothing, either from the weapons fire killing my nerves or from sheer adrenaline. I quickly gaze around, I see that Fox and Krystal are handling things on their end, a venom officer comes at me with a baton, I try to get clear but he manages to hit the side of my face, white noise takes my hearing, something in me snaps, I swing around and my axe meets the venom, ending my attacker.

Soon we clear up the room, save for one... standing above us on a platform is a snow monkey with white hair and brown eyes and wearing what looks to be an armored space suit.

Fox says "Oikonny!" with a growl.

Oikonny says "Ah Star Fox, you've come to try to stop my plans as usual... how predictable! This station will not fall! Even if you beat me Venom will remain and soon we will claim the system!"

I say "Cut the chatter!" with a scowl.

Oikonny says "And you brought your human pet, quite a turn of events." with a smile.

Krystal says "Your reign ends this day Oikonny, you'll pay for everything that's happened!"

Oikonny says "What I've done is help even the odds!"

I say "Even the odds? That's all you can say?! Earth is gone because of you!" with the gap in my stand off time closing fast.

Oikonny says "That's what I mean! You humans have shown to be a threat, one I couldn't allow to exist! You proved it right after your worlds destruction, it was proven time and time again, your kinds zealous nature has caused so much to maximize it as well."

I say "Do you know why it's that way? You said why that is, with Earth's loss we're not going to be on stand by, rather we'll strike back until we get even and now your gonna pay the PRICE!!!" and I charge at Oikonny as I scream.

I hear Fox "Adam don't!"

Oikonny pulls out a switch and presses the button on it as I get onto his platform, I hear pained groans, I look to see Fox and Krystal on the ground struggling to get up.

Oikonny says "Even with your zeal, everyone has a weakness.", he smiles and he says "And I know yours!"

I say "Let them go!" as I feel my teeth grind each other.

Oikonny says "I don't think so, you see I know your weakness, you value their lives just as much if not more then your own. So if you don't want them to die, then surrender!"

I growl and I say "You... dirty..."

I hear Krystal "Ad... am!"

I look to see Krystal looking at me as she struggles, with Fox joining her.

Krystal says "Adam, don't worry about us... we can take it. Please, end this war once and for all!" with a very stern look.

Fox says "Adam, right now your the only one who can end it, listen to Krystal and listen to me!"

I hear Oikonny "So what is it."

I holster my sidearm, I glance to see Oikonny who's smiling and I say "I don't need a gun to kill you!" with a scowl.

Oikonny frowns, he says "Very well.", he pockets the switch, he pulls out what looks like a hilt, a red energy blade forms and he says "Then I'll take your head!"

I smirk and I say "Then come and take it."

Oikonny comes charging at me, we both swing, the blade if my axe meets his swords, I force him back, I charge with a strong swing but our blades clash again.

Oikonny says "What's wrong? Nothing to say?!"

I say "I'm gonna kill you!", I force him back again, I swing but he blocks me and I say "And Venom will DIE!!!"

A shocked look comes to Oikonny's face, I guess he wasn't expecting those words, I force him back, I begin to constantly swing at him, each one purposely more random then the last, he moves to strike, I dodge but his blade strikes my right shoulder, I duck and slam into him, we go to the ground as our blades fall, my hands grab his neck as tight as they can.

I say "I'll show you no mercy, now do me a favor... JUST DIE!!!"

Oikonny grabs my arms and tries to grab my face but I bite at his hands, drawing blood with bite and Oikonny begins to look more and more panicked with every second.

I say "All that training and all this tech... but I got news for you, with your incompetence it's pointless you don't know how to lead, so you hope your soldiers pick up the slack! For us humans though, the countries military's that had a brain like mine did had strong leaders and the soldiers were trained very well, the Cornerian's share that and that's why we'll crush you in the end, no matter what! What I'm doing here though is retribution! FOR THE LOST!!!"

Both of Oikonny's hands try to grab my face, I back my head away for a quick second before biting both hands at once and not letting go. I glance down at the Venom, my hate flowing through my blood as I feel my body shake from anger, soon he begins to fade as his body loses resistance and before long his body completely stops. I let him go, I get off him as I draw my side arm, I blast his head with a charged shot, I retrieve my axe and his sword along with the switch. I press the button which frees Krystal and Fox, I smash the switch and get to work on the computer.

Krystal and Fox join me and Fox says "Adam, are you okay?"

I say "I'm fine." as I feel tears run from my eyes and I say "Let's just end this." my voice sounding tired and body to match.

Krystal hugs me, she says "It's okay hon, I've got you." with a smile, she kisses my cheek and she says "My hero." with a loving smile.

I hear Fox "Hey Adam, there's something I need to say."

I say "Can it wait? I need to finish this." as I finally get to the systems I need to access.

I hear Fox "No it can't, I feel this is the best time."

I glance to Krystal who nods with a smile, I sigh and I face Fox.

Fox says "Adam, this is one detail about Krystal and I you should know about, the both of us were once together."

I become shocked instantly, at this point I'm honestly expecting Fox to pull his blaster and pull the trigger, I glance to Krystal who winks at me and my focus goes back to Fox.

Fox says "Now look, I know that the both of you are together and after some thought, the both of you do have my support, I know the both of you will make it."

Krystal says "Thank you Fox." with a smile.

I nod with relief, I go back to working the terminal, soon I finish, I say "That's it, one button press and this place will fall like a brick with an apocalypse package... now I know how they felt during the cold war.", I look to Krystal and Fox and I say "Please join me guys, this something I don't want to do alone."

Fox says "If that's what you want bud." with a smile.

Fox moves to my left while Krystal stays to my right, I place my right pointer over the required button, followed by Krystal and Fox.

I say "On three, one... two... three!"

The three of us press the button, an alarm blares as an a.i. voice sounds "Alert: Planetary sync deactivated and losing altitude, please evacuate immediately!" and I spray the console with my sidearms full auto fire.

Fox says "Now for us to get out of here!"

I say "I saw a single sized hanger on the map... but there's already a fighter in there."

Krystal says "Fox, let's have fighters return to the Great Fox."

I think 'I think I know where this is going.'

The three of us head to the small hanger, the small craft is a venom fighter modified to be an escape craft, we manage to all fit, but...

I say "It's too cramped!" gasping for air.

Krystal is sitting on top of me and Fox is behind my seat.

Fox says "Can you see?"

I say "No, all I can do is work the accelerator! krystal, can you please work the other controls!"

Krystal says "Sure hon, no prob..."

I say "Good, let's go before I black out!" and I floor it.

The craft shoots out of the hanger, Krystal manages to steer the craft as Fox yells.

Krystal says "Adam, slow down!"

I say "I'm trying!"

Krystal says "This is a crash landing boys!"

I think 'I'm being crushed as it is, what's the difference?'

The feel the craft crash and metal screams.

Krystal says "We made it!" with a happy voice.

I say "That's good! But can we please get out of this thing!?"

The three of us leave the busted craft, we gaze to the Venom station, the button parts starting to enter the atmosphere. Soon the station crashes onto the planet, a massive explosion takes place as what looks to be a green fire storm take the planet and the advanced drones stop dead in their tracks.

I hear Slippy on the comm "There's no comm traffic coming from Venom!"

I hear Falco "Yeah, their base is gone."

I hear Slippy "No there's literally nothing! The entire planet is silent."

I feel tears leave my eyes, the full realization of it coming to mind, my anger and hate had taken me, but...

Fox says "Adam, you okay bud."

Krystal says "No Fox, he isn..."

I say "For the record I didn't want to do it, but something had to be done to stop them. Earth is gone and Corneria is now our home, what I did was not just to get even but to also protect Corneria... she's the only home I have left too... I just couldn't....", my legs finally give as I finally burst into tears.

I feel someone hug me and I hear Krystal "It's okay, you did what you had to do to protect your home... out home."

1 year later...

A large crowd has been drawn with Pepper talking to them under the bright blue sky of Corneria. Our team is standing off to the side, all dressed up as our eyes look to the crowd.

Pepper says "And now, Adam will come up to say a few words." with a smile and waves me over.

I begin to move towards the stand, I nod to Pepper to thank him and he nods to me as I take the stand with the crowd watching me.

I say into the mic "Greetings, thank you for coming. As you all know it's been a year since the third war ended and over a year since the destruction of Earth, the cradle of mankind itself and almost all of mankind with it! Since then we've been rebuilding and thanks to Corneria and her people we have a new home, the best part though is that we finally have hope... something I'll admit I didn't have when I first came here and I always had thought hope was meaningless. But after everything it's now something I have and believe in and while we still have a long way to go, I have hope that we'll make it! Earth is lost, nothing will ever change that but as I said Corneria is now or home, we will fight for and honor her flag as well as work to preserve her! And I got news for you but if the Venom's didn't destroy Earth then we would have because of the sheer greed and arrogance we had... none of that will happen here! It's time for us to start building our future and together with the Cornerian's we can do that!"

The crowd explodes into applause, especially from those of my race.

I salute and I say "Then it's time to build the future, good luck!" with a smile.
