I am glad to present a new part in my story series, a fun bonus tale that takes place long after the novel I am currently writing.
In it, Tecwyn is called to help with an archeological study to an old culture, but finds that they harbored more than was known.
It's a long story that I am quite proud of, with sexual themes about 2/3ds in.
But I always like it when a good narrative is woven around it.
Anyway, I hope that people enjoy :D
Tecwyn sighed as he put away his spellbook, placing it on the small pile next to him.
“I really should have brought more books on this journey” he mused to himself, opening the shutters of the carriage window.
He had been assigned to the ruins of G’ran to help translate the old language that was found there.
Of note was the recently unearthed temple, belonging to a forgotten deity, but the initial reports indicated that the worship was focused on the sea.
This theory was supported by history, as G’ran was advanced for their time in matters of seafaring and fishing, even laying the foundation of sea bound transport for trading, though they themselves tended to be more withdrawn from the world.
Tecwyn looked over the report again, turning to the end of the history.
G’ran was removed from the map when two distinct disasters happened, an earthquake and an eruption both.
The latter was most likely caused by the former, but historians still were figuring out which did more damage.
The mage then noticed a small commentary scrawled on the side: “At least it wasn’t an ironic extinction like a tidal wave.” Followed by: “Reminder to revoke Alan’s cafeteria privileges for this joke.”
It was good to know that people never really change, no matter where you go, Tecwyn thought as he stared to the horizon, still a few hours left to go to his destination.
The carriage came to a halt on a dirt road, but nobody stepped out.
When one of the greeting committee, a younger shiba, opened the door, some of the books fell out, and he could see the guest they were expecting sleeping where he sat.
Unsure what to do, he instead opted to run and get the leader of the expedition instead.
A while later, Tecwyn was awoken to the wry smile of a serpentine researcher, one he recognized as professor Eileah.
“I am glad to see you are jumping for joy to join this little expedition. Do remember to bring this enthusiasm with you during the actual work.”
“To be fair, it was a really long trip, but do not worry, I will make sure to bring my all on this task.”
“You’d better, we even had to cancel the welcome party we wanted to hold for you.
The apprentices were quite honored to have someone of your stature amongst us, but your tardiness has put a damper on their mood.”
“I see. While it’s a good lesson to not idolize people, I will make sure to smooth things over with them once I get settled in.”
It still felt weird to the mage how he was seen of late.
Thanks to his training under Arvesk, as well as his recent achievements working to solve magical mishaps over a wider area, Tecwyn had become popular in the mage community here.
Although he believed he was a capable mage on his own, he did feel that him being the apprentice of the great mage had influenced people as well.
Eileah sighed and motioned to him to follow, guiding him to the sleeping area where he was shown his tent for the time being.
While it was on the small side, Tecwyn figured that he still got a better deal than most, who likely had to share space in a bigger tent.
“Settle in today, and tomorrow you will be briefed on what we know and expect you to do while you are working here.” She brusquely said before walking off.
Tecwyn just saluted and placed down his bags, eager to stretch his legs and discover the camp.
The camp itself was situated not too far from the projected borders of the town, with various tents spread around and a few clearings for campfires.
It was divided into the sleeping areas where the tents were neatly placed next to each other, a few larger tents acting as a makeshift cafeteria, and as per usual for any expedition of the mage’s guild, about half the camp was dedicated for storage and research, where the highest quality tents were to preserve every object they found, as well as all the tomes they had taken with them.
Tecwyn took his time getting an understanding of the layout and was on his way back to his tent when he noticed a few students looking in his direction.
“Hey there, glad to be part of this little shindig.” He jovially greeted them.
“Oh..uhm..” one of them stammered. They had clearly not expected him to engage in small talk.
Tecwyn was unsure how to continue this conversation now.
Though his social skills had improved considerably, he still had trouble with casual chats at times.
“Sir!” One of the students saluted him with a worried look on his face, like he was expecting that a single misstep would see him punished.
“I am Robert Ayuram, second rank thaumaturge trainee of the mage’s guild and it’s an honor to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too.” Said the dragon as he extended his hand.
“I am not too big on formalities really, so if you don’t mind, you can just call me by my name really. That goes for the rest of you as well.”
The students looked at each other with doubtful faces.
“Ah…we have been taught to always be respectful towards our superiors.” Another of them said.
“Understandable. No need to force yourselves after all.”
One of them, a shy vulpine woman spoke after a brief interlude.
“Uhm..sir…May I ask why you were not available for the welcome party?“
“I kinda fell asleep on the way here and it took some time for the expedition leader to wake me.
I am deeply sorry for that.” He said with a nervous chuckle.
“But I will be staying here for a while, so perhaps we can reschedule it?
It would be my absolute honor to attend!”
One by one, signs of relief started to appear on the faces of the students.
“We would love to, sir! We…we kind of thought that you considered it beneath you, and therefore you missed it earlier.
The supplies are still not packed up, so we can hold it this evening during dinner...ah, that is if you don’t mind eating with the regular researchers?”
The question was part born from worry, but with a hopeful undertone.
“Sounds like a great plan!
I would love to hear what you all have been up to so far, and in return I can tell you about the things I have seen and learned.”
Nodding excitedly, the students immediately started to plan the details for the party, and headed off to fetch others.
With a smile, Tecwyn resumed his tour of the camp.
Tecwyn did not have much to do until dinner, so he decided to read up a bit on the general information of what they had discovered.
Many of their findings were archaeological ones, and while not relevant to the mage they did prove to be a fun distraction until dinnertime.
When dinner finally came around, he was enthusiastically greeted by the apprentices and other students who eagerly brought him his share of food and a seat.
In return, he told them tales of his adventures, the sights he had seen and other worlds he had been visiting under the tutelage of Arvesk.
It didn’t take long after he finished his plate that he started to show them various forms of magic that he had encountered, sharing some of the underlying principles that he had discerned so they could experiment with them in their free time.
Of course, he was smart enough to keep the information manageable to them, so that any problems could easily be handled should they miscast.
To top it off, he drew a large glyph on the ground to help channel magical energy in the area, and showed off his transformation into a hyena, to the surprise of others.
Taking his trusty staff in hand, he gave them a demonstration of a spear dance he learned during his stay at Kura’s tribe, while letting his staff emit a trail of the elements behind its tip, for added effect.
After his little show the students were full of excitement, wanting Tecwyn to listen to their own ideas and theorems they came up with, making the dragon mage smile at their enthusiasm, trying to listen to every single idea.
They spent that way until late at night, giving Tecwyn a welcome party to remember, before eventually it became time for them to sleep.
Parting with a bright smile, Tecwyn went to his own tent, and fell asleep almost the instant he crawled under the blanket.
The morning after, as well as the ones that followed for a while, Tecwyn helped out around the temple, making extensive notes of the various symbols, paintings and writing found within, while in the evenings his team got together to discuss possible translations.
While not Tecwyn’s first field of studies, as an outsider with travel experience, they hoped that he could shed some light from another angle.
“For such an old civilization, they did have a pretty extensive way with words, assuming we are on the right track.”
“I must say that I am rather doubtful about these preliminary translations. I find it hard to believe they had this many ways of describing water.”
“But it sounds right for a sea worshipping culture.”
“Mere conjecture at this point. We don’t even know what the temple was used for, assuming it is a temple in the first place.”
Such things and more filled the evening discussions, as Tecwyn pored over books to find any connection.
The strangest thing about G’ran was that after the disaster the culture just seemed to entirely stop, yet it would have been expected that there were some survivors, no matter how harsh the destruction.
None of the neighboring countries showed any similarities in terms of writing or art when it came to that time period, so for now the theory stood that G’ran did not have any contact at all outside their own community.
“The only thing we can do is wait until the excavators dig out the portal to the inner sanctum.”
Tecwyn heard this line pass multiple times a day.
Apparently the mages did sense a low pulse of magic inside, expecting either traps or a trove full of archeological treasures, perhaps even one that could help break the code they were looking for.
To him, it didn’t matter if it took a while.
This was a nice break from the usual adventuring he did, and allowed him to build his bonds with the Kriun academy in a way beyond just his extraplanetary knowledge.
So the days went by until one morning the camp was all alive with excitement.
The cleanup crew had finally managed to move the rubble out of the way blocking the entrance to the inner sanctum, and an expedition inside was planned.
Naturally, Tecwyn was selected for this task in case his unusual expertise was needed.
Alongside a small group of other mages that he hadn’t gotten to know well, they stepped through the opening, the mage in front spreading out magical powders to search for potential traps.
While the room had a lot of ambient magic, none of it seemed to be harmful or concentrated enough to pose a thread.
As such, the rest of the researchers moved in, setting up their equipment and taking notes of the room while the vanguard checked ahead.
Not having much to do in the current room, Tecwyn followed the vanguard, when his attention was distracted by a simmer in a side room.
He should have known better, but the prospect of something interesting and exciting after all the tedious studying made his curiosity overtake his reason.
On a pedestal near the back of the room stood a small idol that had some palpable energy around it.
The idol itself seemed to have been a token of worship, though it looked like a spiraling tentacle.
A simple spell revealed that there was no magical trap attached to it, so Tecwyn picked it up to inspect it.
At that moment, the pressure plate rose, and the door closed.
“Right, physical traps are a thing as well.”
He waited for a moment to see if things changed, and when they didn’t he placed the idol back, causing the plate to go down and unlocking the door again.
“Well that seems simple enough, they probably just put it there so nobody would take it.
I am amazed at how well preserved this is though.”
He was about to leave the room and report his findings, looking the room over once more, but he couldn’t find anything out of place.
Once he got back to the main team, he got a light scolding from the leader, though they quickly headed to the room to investigate for themselves.
The rest of the day was spent transcribing the murals and comparing notes at dinner.
That night, the mage was gripped by dreams in his slumber.
He found himself walking through halls that resembled the ruins, but there was an oppressive atmosphere around.
No matter how long he walked or the different paths he took, he never seemed to be getting anywhere, nor was he able to remember any place he had been before.
Slowly but surely, the hallways started filling up with water, as Tecwyn started to look more frantically for an exit which wasn’t there.
The water overtook him and the walls came closer, twisting into tentacles grasping around him, pulling him deep into a dark abyss.
Gasping for air, Tecwyn awoke in a cold sweat, still feeling the phantom limbs of the tentacles around him.
While he could see now that he was safe in his bed, a specter of the danger and pain clung to him as he stretched his arms.
For now, he decided that he was done with sleeping for the moment.
He got up and got dressed, preparing himself for a morning walk to clear his mind.
However, when he walked past the temple he could feel something calling to him, something deep within.
It was as if his body now moved on its own accord, into the ruins and past the researchers, back to where he found the idol and deeper beyond.
Tecwyn did not recognize any of these hallways he was now passing, yet he moved through them as if he lived here his entire life.
Still, he couldn’t help but be curious to where this unseen presence was leading him, confident that he would find a way out should he be in any danger.
Ever deeper did the path lead him, until the carefully crafted walls gave way to a more natural passage, a cave deep beneath the temple, lit up by glowing streaks of minerals in the walls.
This hollow appeared to be a cavern below sea level, yet it did not seem to be entirely natural.
Walking onwards to the end of the cave, he came across an large lake when suddenly he stood still.
He tried to look around and take control of his body back, when there was movement deep within the waters.
A formless shadow could be seen in the dim light, with one tendril rising upwards and piercing the surface, revealing itself to be a tentacle of sorts.
Looking at it gave the mage a rather strange sense of unease like he had never felt before, but he had no time to think upon this as his mind started filling with noises.
The sounds that occupied his head kept repeating yet changing, like a person changing their inflection to make themselves clear.
For a moment, Tecwyn hoped that this being was just trying to communicate with him, but then he saw the tentacle reaching out for him, aiming at his head.
Before he knew it, the tendril connected with his face and his mind was overwhelmed by static.
As fast as it happened, it seemed to be over as the tentacle retreated and Tecwyn felt control return to his body.
“My apologies for the intrusion, but this seemed the fastest way to learn your language.
Rest assured, I merely glanced at your language skills as you mortals tend to frown having your deepest desires laid bare.”
It took a while for Tecwyn to recover from the intrusion, as well as the stunned realization this being in front of him was projecting its thoughts into his mind, and politely as well.
“I suppose no harm was done? And I thank you for not delving too deep within my mind.
Can I assume it was your control that brought me here, as well as the dreams I was having?”
The voice echoed inside Tecwyn’s mind once again.
“You are correct. While I don’t like to intrude in the dreams of others, it was the only way I could call out to you.
I trust that the dream made it clear that you were being summoned and soothed you enough that my control was not worrying?”
Tecwyn sighed and explained that most people did not like to be drowning while being dragged down into the depths.
For a moment the being fell silent, and when it resumed talking, it had an apologetic tone.
“I am sorry for that. The previous inhabitants of this land loved the ocean and would have interpreted the same message differently, hence why I projected it like that.
I assume that they don’t live here anymore, and if that is so, how long has it been since they left these lands?”
“According to our understanding, it has been a few hundred years, close to a millennium.
But does that mean you knew the culture that lived here?”
“But of course. They built this temple in my name, and I shared with them wisdom and guidance where I could.
Not too much of course, wanted to let them develop mostly on their own.
Ah, but where are my manners, I haven’t introduced myself yet.
Those that lived here knew me by G’ran.”
Tecwyn took a moment to let this information sink in.
Not only had he found a being that was worshipped as a deity centuries ago, but it also was in possession of all the answers they were seeking here.
He needed to be on his best behavior, lest this chance slip through his claws.
“Thank you kindly for this audience then. My name is Tecwyn and I am a scholar that came here to help the archaeologists study the city and this temple.”
A laugh echoed through the dragon’s mind.
“And I take it you want me to tell you all about the history of this place, to understand more of those that came before?
I do not mind at all, young one. I would however like to ask a favor in return. A sacrifice.”
It was late in the afternoon when Tecwyn resurfaced from the depths of the temple.
“Professor Tecwyn, how nice of you to join us after wandering off in the uncharted bowels of the temple.” Sounded the stern voice of Eileah.
After she called off the search for Tecwyn, she faced him once more.
“I do hope you have a good explanation for going off on your own, risking the integrity of an old structure and possibly your own life.”
It was clear she was about to go into a lecture on safety and proper conduct, when Tecwyn interrupted her with a simple gesture, and his eyes glowed with an otherworldy glow.
“My sincere apologies, but this is not Tecwyn you are talking to at the moment.
In fact, I take full responsibility for spiriting him away unannounced.
I am known as G’ran, and I took notice of his magical aura. Intrigued, I invited him to my lair where we had a friendly chat.
As I am unable to leave that spot for my own reasons, he was gracious enough to lend me his body so I could extend an invitation to you as well.”
The expedition members fell silent, not sure what to believe, some of them getting ready to fight.
Eileah regained her composure, and answered the stranger.
“I see. I hope you understand why we are not immediately trusting to your claims, especially since your name is the same as the deity they worshipped here.
Still, if you understand our hesitation, then we would like to send a small group down there with you, but we would insist on taking some protective measures.”
“But of course! If it would set your minds at ease, be my guest.
What I have invited you for is to give you more insight in the old culture here.”
“And what was it that you get for it in return? I can’t imagine someone giving up secrets for free or with ease.”
“I will let your associate explain that when we get to my chambers.
Ah, and before I forget.” G’ran pulled out a crudely drawn map of the temple.
“It’s not complete, but this should lead you to a hidden room. Within you can find a switch to turn off all active traps, if any have survived the ravages of time.
As long as you treat the remnants of my people with care and respect, you can do with them whatever you want.”
With that, he led them back down the winding roads to the heart of the temple, where he relinquished his hold on Tecwyn’s body.
“Are you all right, Tecwyn?” G’ran’s voice was once again audible in his head, but judging by the shocked expressions of the others, G’ran was broadcasting to everyone here.
“I am fine, thank you for your concern.” He then turned to his colleagues.
“This situation seems like a rather big windfall, and he didn’t even ask for too much in return.”
“What exactly did you offer in return then? I hope it wasn’t anything important.”
“I completely understand your worries, but he just asked for a few months of my service to him.
A few tasks he cannot do himself due to not being able to walk on land.
Aside from that, he assured me I won’t come to any harm, and I also do have some contingencies in place myself.”
“It is as he says. I merely need his assistance, and you will get all the information I can answer about the past here.
In case there are any doubts to the veracity of them, you can always study the artifacts to compare notes.”
Eileah just sighed. “Very well, this does seem like a good opportunity. You are relieved of your duties Tecwyn, but just be safe, all right?”
Tecwyn just grinned and gave her a thumbs up, before diving into the water.
Under water, Tecwyn followed a glowing tentacle to another hidden cavern.
“Now, the reason I asked for your assistance.
It will be an uncommon request, but I would like for you to hear me out.
Should it be so that afterward you refuse to help due to the nature of it, I will understand and respect your decision, but know that I would not ask this if it wasn’t important.”
“How bad can it be? I am a veteran of many strange things, so I don’t believe you can shock me with anything you request.”
The voice was silent for a moment, although Tecwyn could sense some unease from G’ran.
“Very well, young mage.
I want you to become the incubator for my offspring.”
“I stand corrected. You are aware that I am the wrong gender for that, right?”
“You do not have to worry about that. I have magic that can make you suitable for that.
The reason I am asking you is because of the unique magical aura you exude in comparison to your peers, and therefore you are the only one fit for that.”
“I suppose…Would this mean you will change me into a woman or…?”
“Only a minor modification is needed, nothing permanent as well.”
A silence fell while Tecwyn considered this extraordinary request.
He was no stranger to carnal pleasures thanks to his friends, especially a certain incubus.
While he was still a bit on the shy end, he did want to open his experiences more.
The months he would lose would obviously be the gestation period, but it would also help further the cause he came here to do.
All in all, he concluded that it would help, and at the very least would be an interesting period.
“Seeing how I gave my word before, I will help you.
Just be…gentle all right? And it won’t hurt much?”
There was another moment of silence before G’ran reacted.
“I admit I expected you to take longer to agree, if at all. I didn’t even need to convince you further it seems.
But to answer you, the first step of this process will not hurt much, and might even be pleasurable to you.”
The voice was polite, but there was a tone of hope within.
Shrugging, Tecwyn just took off his clothes, awaiting his partners next move.
A large tentacle rose from the water and snaked its way towards Tecwyn, coiling around the dragon.
As soon as it touched the mage, Tecwyn could feel the warmth of magic radiating throughout his body, a faint tingle he knew of transformative magics.
G’ran held his new partner tight, but without hurting him, and pulled him into the water.
Having little more agency than that of a rag doll, Tecwyn did his best to hang on as he prepared to hold his breath, but was surprised to find he could breathe under water.
“A small gift from me, as I feel my courtship will work better under the surface.
Unless you have any objections, I would also like to test the waters for compatibility before we go to the main event.
Tecwyn sensed some satisfaction from G’ran for the pun, but he nodded in agreement.
A new set of tentacles pulled his arms up and held them above his head, while another spread his legs to make his behind more accessible.
At this point Tecwyn wondered how his partner would handle it, but despite nerves he was looking forward to it.
Tentacles had been a staple of some stories Tylo and Ajahn shared with him, and he did feel curious to experience it himself.
He didn’t have to wait long as a differently shaped, more translucent tentacle made its way to the dragon’s behind, prodding around until it found the hole in between his cheeks.
Even in the water, it felt cold and a little bit slimy as it apparently lubricated the area around his hole.
After G’ran felt there was enough slime, he started to prod at the dragon’s awaiting hole, sliding in with only slight resistance.
The cool tentacle made Tecwyn shudder as the intruder felt its way around his insides rather slowly, as if it was hunting for something in particular.
It didn’t take long to become clear what it’s goal was, as it pressed on Tecwyn’s prostrate.
But before it gave Tecwyn too much pleasure, it swiftly retreated to the beginning, starting its slow path once again to give a firm press on the prostate.
Tecwyn moaned and opened his maw, which was quickly filled by another tentacle, wider and thicker than the other.
“That’s it, my pet. Give this one a good suckle and show me how badly you want this”
The dragon needed no extra motivation to make his mouth work, as the substance on the tentacle was slightly sweet and ever so enticing.
The more he sucked, the more the tentacle secreted this enticing fluid.
“Take as much in as you can. This fluid will help keep your strength up and feed you during the main session.”
Tecwyn could tell that G’ran was telling the truth, but he also felt his own arousal building.
While this was likely in part due to his own actions, since he was suckling on this tentacle not unlike his work on some previous partners, he also sensed that the fluid was working like an aphrodisiac.
Not only that but it also had a nourishing effect, to ensure that the partner was well taken care of.
Part of Tecwyn was now quite interested in the details of this biological function, but most of him was in lustful bliss.
Now that the dragon was well prepared, G’ran became more active.
He had waited centuries for a suitable host and now that the moment had arrived, he wanted to enjoy every moment with his new incubator.
Multiple tentacles roamed the dragon’s body, massaging him and holding him into place as the main translucent one thickened itself slightly while switching to thrusting.
It felt good to be active once more, especially with a new follower squirming in his grasp, eagerly taking all he had to offer.
Back in the golden days of the civilization there had been many acolytes that wished for blessings or even just intimacy, and every now and then, he obliged them.
As he was their protector he always took charge in these sessions, but never without paying attention to their wellbeing.
And it wasn’t any different with Tecwyn, whom he had a big role for, but that could still wait a bit while they had their fun.
The important part was to loosen him up enough for the insertion.
So bit by bit, every thrust, G’ran thickened his tentacle, stretching the dragon out with partial help of the magics he had cast of him.
Tecwyn on his side was In full rapture.
Due to the lust enhancing nutrients he barely registered any discomfort from his lover, and it didn’t take long for him to reach his climax.
Or so he expected, but the god was very good at keeping his partner on the edge, making Tecwyn squirm even more in his grasp.
The tentacle inside him felt bigger than anything he had taken before, yet he seemed to take it with such ease, and in his current state, it was all too eager to take more.
He regained his focus when G’ran suddenly stopped thrusting and opened his eye groggily to look at what was going on.
He didn’t have to wait long however as something big was pushing against his already distended hole.
“Careful now, my dear incubator, and relax as much as you can.
Even my magics have their limits.”
With that the first egg pushed against the dragon’s sphincter, slipping in with some effort and making the dragon yelp in surprise.
The feeling he got from this was hard to describe.
It was confusing, painful, erotic, invading and hot at the same time, almost sending the dragon over the edge.
“So that was it then?” Tecwyn asked telepathically to G’ran, but his question was answered when another pushed its way in, overwhelming the dragon as he finally got his release, a wave of pleasure unlike any he had ever experienced before thanks to the edging.
With each more that came, his senses were overstimulating, sending wave after wave of pleasure as his belly extended, and making the dragon release another series of loads.
Once it all was done, Tecwyn was barely hanging on to consciousness and had lost track of the amount of eggs within him.
As he wasn’t capable of moving anymore, he felt himself being slowly lifted out of the water, where G’ran placed him gently on a soft surface, where the exhausted dragon fell asleep.
The dragon was unsure how much time had passed since he fell asleep, but felt extremely heavy and slow.
There wasn’t any sign of G’ran nearby, so instead he looked around to what he could see.
First of all, he inspected himself.
His midriff and belly were quite extended, more than he thought was possible and instinctively he reached out to stroke it.
It was strange to think of it, but there were eggs within him now, growing with new life to spring forth.
The more he considered it, the more he felt a warm sense of contentment.
Idly, he looked at the rest of his surroundings.
He seemed to be in another cave, on a bed made of dried yet soft algae, almost resembling a nest the way it felt. It was quite comfortable even.
Aside from that, there were some sparse decorations of glowing mushrooms and various objects normally found underwater, probably put here by G’ran to make this cave feel more appealing to the dragon.
For the moment, there wasn’t much Tecwyn could do as he did not have the energy to move his egg laden belly at the moment, so he decided to rest more and wait until the ‘father’ showed himself again.
He awoke again as he felt some gentle strokes over his belly by a tentacle.
“Oh my apologies, I hope I didn’t wake you up.” Echoed G’ran in his mind.
“I hope you have been resting well, your body needed that after I planted my eggs in you.
Are you feeling all right? Hungry perhaps?
If there is anything you need, just let me know.”
Tecwyn smiled and thought for a moment.
“I could do with some food yes, and if it’s not too much to ask, can you help me sit?
It’s rather hard getting up at the moment.”
As soon as he had said that, the tentacles lifted him up slowly and sat him down at the water’s edge.
“I asked the other researchers to prepare some meals for you.” G’ran said as he lifted a sealed container from the water.
“I could just use my fluids to keep you nourished, but variation is very important as well.
Aside from that I also brought a lot of seaweed, fish and other delicacies from the ocean, so you can pick whatever you want.”
“You are quite considerate, aren’t you? It’s no wonder that the old culture revered you so much.”
“Perhaps so. It actually never was my intention to intervene here and just to rest in the water, but they found a way to contact me, and it would have been rude not to respond.”
“You have been resting for all those centuries? What are you exactly, if I may ask?”
“That is something which is not exactly easy to explain in your language.
I think it would be suffice to say that I am an outsider to what you would consider natural laws.
The way I experience time and life itself are fundamentally different, and while I do not want to insult you, it is far beyond your comprehension…without breaking your mind that is.
In fact, how you perceive me is also not how I actually look, but a mental and magical filter to make it understandable to you.”
Silence fell for a moment.
G’ran had claimed to be something beyond what Tecwyn knew, and there was little reason to believe he was lying.
The being also had magical talents beyond what most smaller divinities would have, that much the mage could tell even without a dedicated scan.
While he would love nothing more than to delve deeper in this mystery, he understood that this would come at significant harm to himself.
The mage instead relaxed and leaned into the tentacle that was propping him up.
“I guess I will just have to enjoy my little vacation then while letting these eggs run their course.
That reminds me, what is this place exactly?”
“Ah yes, this is a small cavern I decorated for when I would have a suitable host around.
I didn’t just want to keep you in a coma, but instead still let you have some quality of life during your stay.”
He hesitated for a moment “And perhaps because I think this is actually more beneficial to my spawn?”
“Hah, perhaps so. I do feel like I am fulfilling the part of heavily pregnant woman at the moment” Tecwyn said with a grin. “and thank you for arranging this. It does give a very unique experience.”
“I am glad you think so. While you have been resting, I have been answering questions from your colleagues, who have been quite inquisitive, let me tell you, though they also respect my reluctance to speak more about myself. I can share the same information with you if you like, but I am sure they will make concise reports on everything for you to read later.”
“Thank you, but I will pass on that. I don’t feel like research at the moment, although I do have a question for you. What made me so special over all others here?”
A new tentacle rose up from the water, holding up a translucent sphere of magic in which figures formed.
“Allow me to show you.
While this world is rich in magic, it does not seem to flow well through its inhabitants.”
The orb showed colorful lines floating around the figures, and next to them another figure in which the colors congregated.
“You on the other hand seem to be an excellent conduit for it, which itself is needed to help grow my eggs.”
“I see, that would be thanks to the training I have endured under my teacher. Thanks to him I learned how to channel various kinds of magic and build up reserves within me instead of just taking it from my environment like the others around here.”
“How fortuitous that we met then, and doubly so that you accepted my offer.
Ah, before I neglect to mention it, the eggs will likely sap you of your magical reserves, leaving you a bit drained after its all over.
Nothing to worry about, but still prudent to mention.”
“Right, I am no stranger to being drained of magic, but I cannot say it gets any easier over time.”
“That is good to hear. Rest well today then, keep your energy and eat all you can.
After all, you are eating for more than yourself now.” G’ran echoed in Tecwyn’s mind, with a tone of happiness.
The days he spent there followed a repeating yet soothing rhythm.
When he woke up, G’ran was there to feed him breakfast and massage his sore spots.
Afterwards he would help Tecwyn with some exercised, getting him up and supporting him as the egg laden dragon shuffled around.
Around midday (at least he expected it was) he took another nap, either in his nest or cradled in G’ran’s tentacles, drifting on the surface of the water.
The afternoons were usually filled with discussions about magecraft and G’ran’s own questions about development of this world, which Tecwyn was all too happy to explain.
Then at night, Tecwyn was presented with a lavish banquet of seafood before slowly drifting off to sleep.
On the days he had more energy however, G’ran took him into the water to have some mutual fun.
G’ran played it off as nourishing the offspring with additional energy, but there was a degree of pleasure for him in it as well, and Tecwyn was all too happy to oblige.
The tentacles and water allowed many positions and combinations that would be impossible to a single partner…Ajahn perhaps notwithstanding.
Suffice to say, to the mage this all felt like a very welcome vacation from his usually study filled days or his life threatening adventures.
Part of him contemplated leaving things behind and just reveling in this feeling, but deep down he knew he would be too responsible to do so.
The day started as any other, with Tecwyn waking up to the gentle sounds of the water crashing against the entrance of the cavern when he spotted G’ran’s tentacles rise up from the ocean.
Once more he had brought a platter of food, a spread of various snacks that Tecwyn had come to love and satisfied his cravings.
As he tried to upright himself however his body cramped more than usual.
It had become an issue to move around but luckily G’ran helped him when he needed, but this felt different from normal.
The cramps quickly spread over his body as he felt multiple new sensations around his midriff and womb.
“G’ran, I think….I think it’s time.” He said as calmly as he could, but his nerves were quite clearly heard in his voice.
After all this was completely new to him and no amount of reading could prepare him for this.
The tentacles immediately threw their plates back in the water and rushed over to cradle the pregnant dragon, grasping him gently yet firmly.
“You mean…the eggs are about to come out? Oh me oh my, I can’t tell you how exuberant I am.”
Tecwyn smiled warmly as he sensed G’ran’s excitement for the coming clutch, and for a moment it made him forget his own nerves.
A new wave of cramps however brought him back to reality.
“We have to get you to the water, quickly.” The voice resonated in the dragon’s mind as the tentacles lifted him up and brought him to the water’s edge.
As G’ran placed the gravid dragon in the water, a larger tentacle covered his mate’s face.
“This will help you breathe normally as well as sedate you slightly.
I need you to have your focus during the delivery, but I will try to ease the discomfort.”
A liquid tendril prodded at the dragon’s hole as they both descended deeper.
Leaving behind a patch of goo as it went in, it proceeded to slime up the insides of Tecwyn’s tunnel to ease the laying process.
On the mage’s end, he was taking deep breaths as his muscles contracted in ways they hadn’t before, hurting him as his body was trying to push the eggs out.
They clearly had grown inside and didn’t go out as easily as they went in, and he shuddered at the thought of doing this without G’ran’s assistance.
His insides stretched and accommodated as best as they could, but even then the pain made him cramp up and slow the process down.
Being a male, his anatomy was not well suited for the laying, even with the adjustments his cosmic paramour made.
As the first egg slid down further to freedom, a wave of pleasure hit him as it brushed against his prostate, increasing in intensity as the egg proceeded further.
For a moment he forgot the pain and relaxed his muscles, allowing the egg to reach to the end.
“You got this, my breeder, just give this a push and I will help extract it.”
With the strength he could muster, he pushed the egg past his sphincter, stretching it as it had never before, even with Ajahn’s biggest toys.
His breathing became more ragged as this had took quite a lot of energy from him, and he still had a few to go.
A great warmth filled his mind as G’ran could not contain his joy.
“Wonderful work Tecwyn, hold on a bit longer, you’re doing great!”
Feebly, Tecwyn smiled back mentally as he sensed his body sending out the next egg.
This time however, he felt that more came, one after another, his body now prepared enough for the main course.
Panic crept over him as the discomfort and pain returned.
With the first egg, he could at least focus on it but he worried that this wave would overwhelm him.
He was right, but not in the way he feared.
As the eggs moved further, once again they brushed against his prostate, each increasing his pleasure exponentially.
Pretty soon his pain was replaced with sheer bliss as his mind fogged with a lustful haze.
G’ran also noticed this change in his incubator, as Tecwyn turned hard before his eyes.
With a mischievous grin, the outsider wrapped a tentacle around the dragon’s member, applying suction and movement to stimulate his mate.
Caught between the stream of eggs and the tentacle of G’ran, Tecwyn shot his load almost immediately which made him all the more sensitive to the rest of the stimulation.
Pleasure soon overwhelmed the dragon leaving him inactive in all but body, his mind fogged with lust and bliss.
When Tecwyn awoke again, he found himself back at the encampment, unsure how much time had passed.
Shaking the sleep off, he stretched and felt like he could move around for the first time since his artificial pregnancy.
While he liked that he had the ability to move around normally again, he did feel a twinge of sadness now that this unique experience had passed.
He knew that mulling this over in the comfort of his tent would not help in any way, thus he decided to step out and talk to professor Eileah.
When he stepped out, Robert spotted him and rushed up towards the dragon.
“Sir, I hope you have recovered well from your ordeals. Professor Eileah instructed me to watch over your tent the past few days.”
“The past days, I see…”
“Indeed! We found you in the deepest parts of the building.
The professor is eager to debrief you and talk about the specifics.”
“Thank you very much Robert, I will head to her immediately.”
The student was clearly pleased that Tecwyn had remembered him even after all this time, and rushed off to his next assignment.
The camp’s layout had shifted slightly in Tecwyn’s absence, yet it was still easy enough to find his way.
He found Eileah poring over the accumulated research, including the information they got from the resident guardian deity.
“Ah Tecwyn. Finally awake I see.
Look at all this knowledge we gathered, volumes upon volumes of history that would have been lost if it weren’t for our combined efforts.
While I am not privy to whatever deal you made with G’ran, nor do I have any interest in the matter, I cannot argue with the results.
Perhaps the next time we find a being like that we should let you do the negotiations once again.”
Tecwyn just gave a wry smile, knowing all too well she was serious.
“Now that you are back however, it is my duty to inform you that your help will not be needed anymore.
We have full access to the temple and are busy archiving and documenting all finds within.”
She turned to him and for the first time since he arrived at the site she gave him a warm smile.
“I know I am often distant, but I genuinely mean it when I say that your help here has been invaluable.
It wouldn’t have been the first time the academy foisted off someone on my projects that turned out to be a detriment, but you actually helped out.
Now, a carriage will be picking you up in a few days, so there is no rush to pack your belongings.
Feel free to move around the camp and the ruins during your last days here, read up on what we have compiled so far, and know you are always welcome to assist in the future.”
“It has been my pleasure, professor Eileah. My time here was priceless, and I look forward to reading everything I can get my hands on.”
They both shook hands as they parted ways.
Tecwyn returned to the deepest part of the building, where he had met G’ran for the first time, yet could not find any trace of him now.
No matter how he called out, only silence came back from the dark depths.
Over the next few days, Tecwyn returned, finding nothing no matter the time of day, before going back to camp to help the apprentices and help prepare the food.
On the final day, he decided to try one last time before his carriage came, and noticed something new standing in the room, a small statue of a tentacle.
Once he touched it, his mind was filled with a familiar feeling.
“Dear Tecwyn, my beloved incubator.
It pains me that we could not speak before you have to inevitably leave, but I had to bring the eggs to the deepest part of the ocean to keep them safe.
Even now, this message is all I can leave behind as I need to stay with them for the next months in deep slumber.
Once that is done, I will seed them across the worlds and let nature take its course, as is usual for my kind.
I do hope that someday in the future we are able to meet up again, so that I can thank you once more for helping me in my time of need.
One last thing I have to mention, while the original changes I made to you are undone, I couldn’t help myself and give you another blessing.
With this message, a set of instructions are found to tap into this power, if you are inclined to have more eggs in the future.
No matter which you choose, know that you will forever live in my heart and have my eternal gratitude.”
With this, the message stopped and the statue cracked open to reveal an iridescent pearl, glowing faintly with colors both known and unknown to the dragon.
As Tecwyn picked it up, the knowledge contained within transferred to the dragon, leaving the pearl as naught more than a beautiful trinket, one he intended to cherish for the rest of his life.
Once above ground again, it had become time for the mage to leave.
The students all said goodbye to him, giving him small crafts and enchanted trinkets to show off their work to him, and Robert gave him a small oversight of the major findings of the expedition.
Tecwyn waved them all goodbye as he stepped into the carriage, his eyes getting a little misty as he closed the door behind him.
Once he was settled in, he took out the document and read up on the one question the expedition had set out to answer.
The inhabitants of G’ran had in fact not perished, according to their local god.
He had sensed the impending disasters, and imparted upon them the knowledge to build a seafaring vessel, capable of traversing even the grand ocean while being self-sustaining, and set out to new lands, likely having found a new haven there.
While Tecwyn thought about the implications and the possibilities of travel that they could glean from this, he spotted a saying that the old civilization had in their culture.
‘From the Depths of the Ocean, Life springs Eternal’
Tecwyn smiled at this sentence, idly rubbing his belly, knowing all too well how true this statement was.
