The Legend of Wraith
A little short I did to tease for some backstory for my main rp character.
Under a black, cloudless sky, a black furred, anthro panda growled. How much longer was this going to take. She'd been traveling all day searching for an angel that was rumored to be in the area. If she could convince it to add it's power to her own, she laughed out loud at the thought of all that power. She'd be unstoppable. Then she noticed the cave. The necromancer sensed a strong power coming out of it. She entered at once, only to find it empty, but she still sensed something. Something was definitely here. She sniffed the air, hoping to see if it was something physical, but she smelled nothing, causing her to shiver with excitement. "Hello, is anyone here?" called out innocently. A bright light filled the cave in response to her question. An angel stood before her, it's wings golden, with what seemed to be eyes all over them. "Hello little one." It's voice was feminine, and almost motherly. Wraith pretended to be afraid, which caused the angel to stretch her hand out. Wraith let the being pet her, and pretended to calm down gradually. "There there little one," It said "I won't hurt you." It had no idea what Wraith had planned for it. It was all she could do not to let a wicked grin creep across her face. The angel suddenly spoke again "You're rather weak, aren't you? I always forget how the mortals are. Would you like me to help you?" Wraith appeared mildly curious. "H-help me?" She asked in the most nervous voice she could muster. She hoped this wouldn't take much longer, the light radiating from the heavenly being was starting to burn. The angel nodded. "I need a place to stay, something to tie myself to while I'm down here. There are things I need to do, and if you let me fuse with you for a while I'll let you use my powers while you help me." Wraith could barely contain her excitement "R-really?" this was too easy. The angel had no idea who she was dealing with. The being nodded "Yes, really. Shall we begin little one?" Wraith nodded enthusiastically, and the angel began the fusion. It felt so good, but when it was over, the angel immediately realised Wraith's intentions. "You, you monster!" a voice called inside her head, causing Wraith to chuckle. The being was trapped inside her now. She'd been waiting a long time for this. She made to move out of the cave, but was distracted by a sudden shouting inside her head. "If I can't get out of here of my own will, then neither will you! I won't let you hurt anyone!" Wraith suddenly fell to the floor, and screamed in pain and fear when she stared at her legs, which were rapidly dissolving in front of her very eyes, along with the rest of her body. She died there in the cave, and it is said that her spirit is trapped there to this very day. Anon closed the book and looked over at his sister, Skyla, with a concerned expression "Well," he said to the small phoenix girl sitting in his lap "that was rather disturbing. Skyla nodded. "It's okay big brother! I'm not scared as long as you're with me!" Anon smiled down at her. She always called him that, "Big brother", or sometimes "Green" when she was really excited. Most just called him "Anon" though, as that was the name his father had given him before he left. He set the book aside, and sat there with his little sister in his lap. "So," he said, his bunny ears perking up suddenly "what else do you want to do?" A big grin grew over Skyla's face as she thought. Suddenly, she jumped down and put her wing in his paw. "This way!" she said with a giggle, dragging the rabbit over to her toybox. She dug around in it for a bit before pulling out something with a triumphant cry "Found them!" She turned to Anon, holding whatever "They" were behind her back. "Close your eyes." she instructed. The rabbit did as he was told, and suddenly felt cold metal and cloth press into his hands. He opened his eyes to find two beautiful daggers resting in his palms, still in their sheaths. "S-Skyla! Where did you get these?! You know mom would kill you if she found out you'd been around something so dangerous!" Anon was looking about with a worried expression as he said this, and Skyla let out a small whimper. "Y-you don't like them?" she asked, tears welling up in her eyes. "What? N-no! I-I love them!" Anon stammered. He couldn't stand to see his sister upset. She squealed with joy and hugged him "I still love you more." He whispered to her "You're my favorite little sister." Skyla giggled at this, her voice as beautiful as the rising sun. "I'm you're only little sister." Anon smiled, and just sat there, holding her close. He'd never let anything hurt her. Ever.
