It was nine am sharp, I waited outside of Judy's apartment for her to come out. The doors of the apartment complex then swing wide open as a refreshed and energized looking Judy came out of it with a travel pack full of luggage and other clothes. She was wearing her casual country-styled clothing and had a her phone and earbuds in paw, I chuckled.
"Farmer Judy Hopps ready for another hot and sweaty day out in da field?" I asked with a very hard and overdone western accent. She just rolled her eyes at me and giggled.
"Shut up, city boy." She played along and began walking and I followed behind her.
You know, before Judy and I came along, seeing as sight like this would have been a rarity. Even though Zootopia has the most diverse culture and species living together, we were still segregated by stereotypes and fear. Animals would stick with their own species and wouldn't even bother looking at each other. That was the norm back then, Prey still fear predator and predators were jerks to them.
I'm glad Judy's dream is to make the world a better place, because she really did make a difference. It makes me laugh when animals used to give us weird looks for hanging around each other. We continued on our way to the Transit station, where the big ol choo choo machines were at, We could already see it from where we were at. The tall awesome looking building, this place had the busiest traffic in all of Zootopia!
As we arrived we saw the Transit building, it was tall and very large to make room for the various types of animals and species that went through it. Inside were various types of snack bars and shacks that sold things for specific types of animals or some shacks sold things for all types of animals. Judy made her way to a service desk.
"Uh hi, yeah we'd like two tickets to Bunnyburrow please!" Judy asked the goat lady, the goat lady looked around only to see me standing there and a pair of large ears. "Down here!" Judy exclaimed.
"Oh?" The goat lady asked as she looked down and saw Judy. "Oh my stars, what a cutie-" He sentience was cut short
"You know Its not good to call a bunny cute." Judy said with a large smile on her face
"Oh sorry, my bad." The goat lady replied and got two tickets to Bunnyburrow, Judy's hometown.
Judy then grabbed both tickets and put the money in the goat lady's empty hands all in one slick jump, she then handed me a ticket and smiled as she looked up at me. I chuckled.
"Thank you!" Judy said before walking away.
We made our way down to the waiting area of the Transit station, there were a lot of benches and many more animals waiting for their rides. Some business animals and others travelers like Judy and I, though now things were more mixed, rodents weren't afraid to get near cats anymore, and cats actually helped rodents out with their luggage. It was nice to see animals working together for once.
As Judy and I gazed off into the distance and admiring the beautiful sight, and commotion, we both slightly got closer to each other, slowly scooting closer to each other. I then felt her small warm paw on top of mine, I blushed madly and tried not to notice but eventually, my eyes met hers. She scooted even closer to me, right next to me in fact.
Just as she was about to lay her head on my shoulder, a train suddenly stopped with a loud screech, animals in black suits came out of the train, all agents from the Furderal Burrow of Investigation, or FBI for short. If you wanted the best, most elite police operatives, then those were the guys you would be looking for. Me and Judy split, I frowned a bit but then paid attention at FBI Agents as they went through the Transit station
Everyone made way for them, they were big and mean looking. Even the smaller ones looked like they could punch you into Sunday and back. My only question is why they were here, if agents from the FBI were here, it meant something really, really bad must have happened. I looked down at Judy, she gulped.
"Why are they here?" I asked and looked down at Judy; she looked back up at me
"I don't know, but it means no good..." She paused for a moment. "Should we see what's going on?" She asked
"No, no, these guys are the best of the best, if Chief Bogo needs us, he'll let us know." I replied. "Let's just enjoy our little vacation while we can." I smiled reassuringly
"Right!" She said with her smile back on her face.
Just on que, the train to Bunnyburrow arrived after the one that dropped off the agents left. It was a ominous looking train, painted all black and the windows were tinted black as well, you could see some figures moving around in there but nobody could tell what they were.
When the train stopped, it opened its doors. Several other bunnies began boarding it, Judy took the lead as we entered the train, we took seats in the upper deck of the train, it was usually space saved for giraffes' long necks but since there weren't any on the train; it was no problem to sit up there.
I caught the attention of the other bunnies in the train and I could understand why, there was a sea of black, grey, and white, and upon that sea of boring colors, there was a tall red fox. One little bunny child came up to me and tugged on my shirt, I looked down at it.
"Hey there little guy." I smiled at it, trying to give a friendly impression. He saw Judy sitting next to me, closer than any other bunny was willing to.
"Is that your girlfriend?" He asked, stretching out the word 'girlfriend.'
I blushed and quickly responded. "N-no! J-just friends!" I stuttered. Judy had a dark red blush on her face as she looked out of the window like nothing was wrong.
Another bunny came along, I assumed it was this little guy's mother since she seemed to be looking franticly for him, when she spotted him, she gasped and exclaimed "Little Johnny, what did I tell you about traveling through the train without permission!" She looked annoyed.
"Um, not to do it?" He asked shyly
"I'm so sorry if he bothered you mister fox, he won't do it again!" She looked embarrassed by the look on her face
"No, no, its fine, he didn't hurt anybody after all." I smiled at the mother; she took her son by the ear and hopped away.
"Well, that happened." Judy looked up at me.
Eventually we arrived at Bunnyburrow, Judy had called her family beforehand to make sure they knew she was coming home to visit. Judy tapped her foot rapidly, impatiently. Outside, I could see what could only be an army of little bunnies.
"Wow Judy, the whole town must love you if this many bunnies showed up to your arrival."
"They're all my siblings." She chuckled
There must have been over four hundred of them, I guess Judy wasn't kidding when she said bunnies were good at multiplying.
The train eventually came to a slow and steady stop, the doors opened and bunnies flooded out to hug and greet their relatives and friends. Judy was no exception, though I was. I don't really know her parents much less her mini army of relatives she had living here. The moment we stepped off the train, her sibilings rushed to hug her, with a synchronized high pitch voice that yelled "Judy!"
Judy smiled and started hugging every single little bunny in that sea of white and grey. Honestly I don't know how they can tell each other apart, they all look the same!
"Oh Judy, you came to visit us, how sweet!" her mother said as she hugged Judy.
"Ah, and you brought a friend too." Her father looked up at me, I smiled and shook his paw. "Want to introduce us to him?" He asked Judy, who was under a blanket of little children
"Sure! This is Nick Wilde, this is Stu and Bonnie Hopps, mom and dad, this is Nick Wilde." It was a quick but effective introduction. I simply waved at them, I tried to look as friendly as possible since I knew they were afraid of foxes, old timers tend to have a harder time accepting new things, I didn't want to come off as a threat to them. Though they did seem to flinch at me every time I made a sudden movement.
"C'mon, why don't we bring you both down to the ranch? You both must be very tired from traveling." Her mother said as she began to walk, unfortunately there was not enough room in the family car to bring them all the children so we had to walk.
After a long walk to Judy's family ranch, we finally arrived around five O'clock. The ranch was bigger than I thought but still a nice comfy home.
"So um, Mrs. Hopps, you have a really nice house and all, but where do the kids sleep?" I was very curious.
"Oh, they just sleep all in one room, we spate the boys and girls in different rooms." She followed with a giggle.
"Well, sure seems easier than building four hundred other rooms." I chuckled, they laughed.
They opened the door to their home and we all stepped in, the kids rushed in like a giant wave of water and filled the living room for just a few moments, somehow not dropping a single thing and in a flash, they were upstairs in their rooms. After the wave of children were gone, Mrs. Hopps sat down on the couch and Mr. Hopps stood at the door.
"Well honey, I gotta harvest the crops before the winter arrives, I don't think we'll get them all in this time though... Its what I get for being lazy for this year's harvest.. I should have started sooner..." He sighed, he seemed really depressed about it too. As sad as it was, I knew it was my opportunity to prove myself as a friend of the family, a friend they could count on to keep their little Judy safe. Mr. Hopps opened the door and turned to leave.
"Mr. Hopps, Hold on, maybe I can help!" I exclaimed enthusiastically
"Oh, we couldn't do that, you're our guest after all." He chuckled nervously.
"I insist Mr. Hopps." I pleaded.
"Alright... You can come."
Mr. Hopps and I walked outside and towards the backyard, There I saw a huge field of ripe fruits and vegetables ripe and ready to harvest. It looks like he didn't even get a quarter of it done and winter was just around the corner. I looked down at him casually and reassuringly.
"Don't worry Mr. Hopps, we'll get it done." I patted his back gently.
He chuckled and we both got to work, He had taught me how to pick their most abundant food, the carrot. It made up about fifty percent of his farm as he put it, you had to grab it and gently pull it out, he said the ground was soft and moist so you didn't have to use any special tool.
"Well, Let's get started, Nick.
It must have been hours because my arms felt like falling right off my body and my legs just wanted to turn into jelly, I think I picked over five hundred crops, seriously! Who knew farm work could be so hard?
Stu looked just as tired as I was as he wiped the sweat off his brow. He then nodded at me and began walking home.
"That there's a good day's work!" He chuckled but then his chuckled turned into a wheeze as his tired body couldn't take much more exertion.
"Can't wait to sit down." I replied
We eventually made it back to the house, as we entered, we saw little bunnies running around and playing with little toys. Mrs. Hopps seemed to try to control the kids as they ran rampant through the house like little high speed cars with no breaks.
"Alright kids, it's your bed time." She told them softly with a hint of that sweet maternal love.
"But mom!" The kids said in a synchronized voice.
"No buts! Now go to your room and sleep, you have school tomorrow!" She said as she pointed upstairs, the kids, with their ears low and sad faces, went upstairs in a single line fashion.
"Oh, Sweetheart and Nick, you're back." She smiled warmly
Stu then gave his wife a hug, my heart warmed up, I found it so sweet. I then looked over at Judy who was helping her siblings upstairs, gosh I wish I could give her a hug like that... Judy then noticed me staring at her, she blushed and quickly looked away, fettling with her ears as if she read my mind and knew what I wanted to do. I also blushed and looked away.
"Well, Nick, you must be tired, Judy dear could you show Nick the guest bedroom?" Bonnie asked, Judy nodded.
"C-come with me Nick." She stuttered a bit and made her way upstairs, I followed her with my hands in my pocket.
She lead me down a narrow hallway, I could hear the kids snoring cutely, she showed me an empty plain room with a bed, a window, and a mirror. It was about ten o'clock when I looked at the digital clock, the lights were off in the hallway so all we had to guide us was the soft moonlight.
We stopped in front of the room I was going to spend the night in, I looked down at Judy, the end of the hallway had a window, so the moonlight shimmered beautify in her purple eyes. She looked up into my hazel green eyes as well, we stood there in silence. I just couldn't help this feeling anymore, I had to come clean to her or I'll have this forever.
"Judy..." I held her soft paw in mine.
"Y-yes Nick?" She asked as she held my paws as well.
"I-I have to tell you something..." I could feel my heart begin to race "Judy, I-I love you, J-just everything about you, your smile, your eyes, ooh your eyes~" I blushed madly and obviously, I wasn't even trying to hide it this time, I was going to tell her everything. "Your big floppy ears, oh Judy, it was you who made me realize I don't have to be the sly fox everyone thinks I should be, Thanks to you I could finally follow my dreams and I... I couldn't help but fall in love with the bunny who could make it all true..." I blushed as I panted, looking into her eyes, she seemed stunned but there was no reaction besides that.
"I... I'm sorry, I'm just a dumb fox..." I frowned and let go of her paws, embarrassment and shame written all over my face as I turned to the guest room and walked into it. I had only taken a single step when I had felt the familiar touch of a soft paw grab my paw, I turned around, Judy had grabbed my paw.
"I... Love you too." She said with a warm smile on her face, she had brought me close, I blushed and looked down at her, suddenly, she grabbed my tie and forced me to bend over, and she gently put a paw on my cheek, and pulled me into a kiss as I put a paw on her cheek.
I had felt her lips for the first time, soft, luscious, tender, and warm. I couldn't get enough of her, We must have held the kiss for several minutes but I didn't feel the need to breathe at all, all I could think about is Judy right now. Eventually, she pulled away, I didn't want to but I did anyways.
"I-I um... W-wow... Just wow..." I said with satisfaction.
"That was your goodnight kiss." She chuckled, still holding my paw, she then walked in the guest room with me
I laid down on the bed after taking off my Hawaiian shirt leaving just my muscle shirt, she then tucked me in and fluffed my pillow just like I did for her, smiled at me before leaving.
"I love you, goodnight, Nicky."
When Judy closed the door and left, I got up and danced gently in joy.
"I did it! I caught my prey! Haha!" I shouted quietly because everyone was asleep in the house, I then threw myself back in bed and sighed happily, putting an arm behind my head and one on my stomach, I smiled at the celling like an idiot.
I then looked out at the moon, it was a crescent moon, the night we had our first kiss. I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.
I woke up at night, I looked over at the digital clock beside the bed. It was 12 o'clock, I don't know why I woke up, guess I just had a bad feeling about something, I felt like something bad would happen but i couldn't put my paw on it.
I yawned and decided to go downstairs but before I stepped on the staircase, I heard talking. It sounded like... Stu? I decided to use my sneaking to slowly get closer to them to hear what their saying, eavesdropping.
"We're just concerned about you honey, that's all." Mr. Hopps said calmly.
"Well, he is a fox after all..." Mrs, Hopss agreed.
"Oh my goodness, how many times do I have to tell you that he won't hurt me! He wouldn't" Judy replied.
"Judy please, can't you find another partner?" Mr. Hopps asked.
"I don't want another partner, nobody can compare with Nick!" She exclaimed.
I looked down at myself, at my paws, after all this, do they still think I'm just a predator...?
They sighed. "Well okay Judy." They said with disappointment in their voice. They walked away to their bedrooms and left Judy at the kitchen table alone. As soon as I made sure they were gone, I walked up behind Judy, I could hear her sniffling in tears. I put a paw on her shoulder.
"They don't believe you've changed..." She said quietly.
"That's fine." I replied as I hugged her from behind, wrapping my arms around her stomach.
She smiled slightly. "Doesn't it bother you Nick? Everyone being afraid of you even after everything we've done in Zootopia... Even though we proved that prey and predator can live together in harmony...?" She asked.
I sighed and wiped the tears off her face, I gave her a warm smile.
"Not really, there's always gonna be those animals that won't ever believe it's possible. They could be prey or predator but sometimes you have to appreciate those you already have, and I'm quite satisfied with what I got stuck with." I chuckled quietly as I looked into her eyes and petted her head gently. "Though, that doesn't mean you should stop trying to make the world a better place. You taught me that one."
She hopped up and wrapped her arms around my neck and gave me a big hug. I hugged back and smiled, she then let go and landed on her feet, I yawned.
"Well im going back to bed. Goodnight Judy." I began to walk back upstairs.
"Nick wait." She said.
"What is it.?" I stopped and looked back.
"Do you think... Um.. Maybe we could sleep... together...?" She blushed and fiddled with her paws as she looked away, her ears droopy.
I blushed. "You kidding me? Of course we can." I smiled and she followed behind me.
We both entered the room and I closed the door behind us, Judy began to undress, she wore a cute black tank top and white panties, I slipped off my pants revealing my boxers. I laid in bed as Judy crawled up beside me, I blushed, I got behind her as he back faced me, wrapping my arms around her and bringing her close.
I never knew a fox like me could have a bunny like her.
