Towers of Seshin: The Twelve
#2 of Towers of Seshin
Finally FINALLY I have this done. My friend Matt worked so hard on this over the past few weeks. With a lack of free time for both of us it still turned out great. So these are our twelve immortal gods in the world of Siutania. All unique, all amazing, all perfect and colorful and awesome. What do you guys think? Think you can match up everyone? :P
Aisly, the White Dragon of Light
"The Greatmother"
Aisly is the mother of the gods, wife of Zygar, and sister of Riyou. She is the most pure of every god, unable to tell a lie, nor lead acts of hostility. She wants nothing more than to live peacefully, both with the mortal and spirit realms. The mortals seek Aisly to repent for their sins or for further enlightenment for all things in the name of good, and she will happily grant their wish if they are pure of heart.
Zygar, the Black Spider of Darkness
"The All-Father"
Zygar is the father of the gods and husband of Aisly. Once a noble and respected man, Zygar ruled the spirit realm alongside his wife with an assertive command of the throne of the heavens. He sadly fell into a state of corruption from paranoia, and therefore split himself away from his fellow gods. Only mortals with darkened hearts seek Zygar, and he grins madly as he adds them to his rapidly growing army of darkness.
Riyou, the Pink Owl of Mind
"The Eye of the World"
Riyou is the eldest god, sister of Aisly, and the left hand of the Council of Creation. She is unable to speak unless communicating through the mind of her sister. She is a solitary eternal watcher of the mortal realm, keeping the natural balance and reporting what she sees to Aisly if something were to go wrong. Mortals seek Riyou for wisdom and understanding, and she will provide if their cause is just.
Doxy, the Gray Bear of Time
"The Sleeping Giant"
Doxy is the fourth oldest god and the keeper of the seasons. The bear spends most of his time sleeping, only waking to start each and every day and when the next season needs to begin. He is gentle and experienced in the world, thought often as a father figure by the mortals and sought by other gods for his assistance. The mortals seek Doxy to ask what the next season will bring, and he'll answer if he isn't already asleep.
Gyna, the Purple Monkey of Wind
"The Insightful Tempest"
Gyna is the fifth oldest god and the mother of all storms. She represents intelligence and elegance with her docile personality. The mortals depict her meditating when calm and the skies are clear, but a fearsome storm when angered and the skies are dark and lightning rules the sky. Mortals seek Gyna for shelter and for her prediction of what the future brings, and she simply replies to them that only time will tell.
Tyto, the Red Falcon of Fire
"The Feathered Marauder"
Tyto is the sixth oldest god, husband of Herey, and the left hand of the Council of Destruction. The red falcon boasts his combat prowess and speed, often getting into tussles with Saryn to see who is stronger. He is cocky and speaks outwardly of his opinions, not shying away from debates. Mortals seek Tyto for warmth and confidence, in which he will grant if they complete one of his many fruitless tasks.
Garyn, the Brown Lion of Earth
"The Protector of the Innocent"
Garyn is the seventh oldest god and the twin brother of Saryn. The lion aims to protect all mortals who deserve to live, representing as a gate of honor and compassion to the mortal realm as well as a guardian from the clutches of death. He prefers to not take sides in conflict, instead listening before giving his input. The mortals seek Garyn for protection and health, and he will gladly provide both to all.
Saryn, the Blue Serpent of Water
"The Armored Heroin"
Saryn is the eighth oldest god, twin sister of Garyn, and the right hand of the Council of Creation. The serpent is the leader of the army of light and the goddess of war and tactics, seen as the most clever in the eyes of the mortals. She hates Tyto with a passion, denouncing his status of an honorable warrior because of his attitude. Mortals seek Saryn for rain or to train a nation's warriors, and she will grant her power with no hesitation.
Herey, the Teal Wolf of Ice
"The Silent Wanderer"
Herey is the ninth oldest god and husband of Tyto. The wolf keeps mostly to himself, attending to his own daily agenda with the mortals of the frozen south. He has a kind heart and fights proudly, but is often misunderstood and rarely ever mentioned in folklore. The few who seek Herey desire a happy harvest for a nation's hunters and farmers, and he will provide his gifts granted that the messengers can find him.
Ylda, the Green Fox of Life
"The Keeper of the Forest"
Ylda is the tenth oldest god. She is a gentle and pleasant goddess; the friendly ambassador for all the flora and fauna of the world. She is a natural healer and huntress, capable of stopping the spread of illness and plague as well as tracking down the evil of the world. The mortals seek Ylda to cure the sick and to provide fertile ground for their crops, and she will grant her blessing as immediately as possible.
Fylli, the Orange Ram of Metal
"The Fanatic of Advancement"
Fylli is the eleventh oldest god and the right hand of the Council of Destruction. The ram is temperamental and prefers to commit acts of violence in a fit of fury as negotiation. Her right hand was cut clean off in a fight with Gyna, and she decided to link her giant hammer as part of her bone structure. The mortals seek Fylli when they've made a breakthrough in technology, and she hastily leads the mortals to the next era of advancement.
Quny, the Yellow Rabbit of Lightning
"The Speeding Trickster"
Quny is the youngest of all the gods. The rabbit is a sneaky little trickster, his mischievous nature often putting him on the side that benefits his needs the most regardless of right or wrong. Despite all this, he is mostly harmless and will eventually find his way back to the side of goodness. Mortals seek Quny for speed and balance, to which he cleverly barters for something in return for his amazing gifts.
