A week passed by and Gideon still hadn't thought how he was going to tell his father. Raymond and he were still moving steadily upwards. Clarice had come out of the hospital that day. Instead of using the free hit Gideon let her have at ANY part of his body she just laughed and hugged him. At this Gideon looked puzzle before returning the hug with a quizzical look on his face.
"Aren't you mad?" Gideon asked Clarice, still trying to puzzle out why she didn't just take the free hit.
"Of course I am." she said simply, "but you're an idiot and I can't blame you for that."
Raymond burst out laughing and Gideon had a hurt look on his face. "It wasn't exactly easy carrying you across the parking lot. It made me faint."
Raymond just laughed harder before getting hit simultaneously by Gideon and Clarice. "Ouch. What was that for," Raymond groaned with a hurt look on his face.
"You were laughing at our situation." Gideon told him. Raymond stared at him with big, hurt eyes. Not exactly puppy dog eyes but almost as cute. "I can't stay angry at you." Gideon said leaning over and kissing Raymond on the cheek.
"I'm in the room!" Clarice said. "I don't care how cute you guys are together I don't want to see it." Luckily their dad was at work.
Gideon and Raymond just snickered and kissed again. "You know you love me." Gideon told her.
"Only a little bit" Clarice replied. "And that little bit is very small." She added the last part as she walked upstairs to her room.
"Alright Raymond, I gotta do something really fast." Gideon told him. "Why don't you go talk to my mom?"
"Fine." Raymond told him, walking into the living room to talk to the red dragon that was Gideon's mother. Raymond just noticed that Gideon's mother, despite being old, was actually very pretty.
She had stunning eyes, not yellow like most dragons, but they were purple. She had golden hair that ran down her back, she obviously dyed it to keep it form turning gray, with kids like Gideon and Clarice she had to dye it a lot.
"How's it going Carol?" he asked her.
She looked at him suspiciously, "Fine." She answered, "Is something wrong? Did Gideon break something?" she started, sounding like she was gonna murder him if he did.
"No, he's doing something and he told me to come talk to you." He told her, trying to save Gideon from getting his ass kicked by his mother for doing something that he didn't do.

Meanwhile...
"Hello?" The girl on the other side of the phone asked as she answered the phone.
"Hi, are there any reservations open for tonight?" Gideon asked her, starting to get anxious because of how long this was taking.
"Let me check," he heard her say. He heard voices talking in the background. "We have a reservation open at eight o'clock. Is that good?" she asked.
"Yes, that perfect. Put the reservation under Gideon Restin, please?" he told her.
"Will do." she said. "It's going to be expensive."
"I have enough," Gideon said, "thanks for your time."
Gideon hung up smiling. He walked over to Clarice's room and knocked on the door. She opened the door, looking annoyed, "What do you want?" she asked.
"For you to drive Raymond and I to the Fur Pride downtown." he told her. "I'm taking Raymond out and he doesn't know it yet."
"That's an expensive restaurant..." Clarice started.
"I have the money." Gideon said quickly. "Just don't tell Raymond."
"Fine." Clarice said, "What time?"
"Eight O'Clock." Gideon said.
"Perfect, I'm going there with Terrence anyways." Clarice said.
"Perfect, my sister is going to be able to spy on my date." Gideon said sarcastically.
"Be happy I agreed to take you." Clarice said, starting to slam the door then stopping it, "and I am driving!"
Gideon snickered, "Fine."

Back in the living room, Gideon's mom decided to do something that would annoy any normal teenager. She brought out the baby pictures. Raymond had just looked at one of him in the bath tub when he came down the stairs. Gideon walked slowly, wondering what Raymond was laughing at.
He saw the album and got pissed. "MOM!!!"
Raymond just started laughing even more. "Please... stop... it's getting... hard to breathe." Raymond was gasping for breath and his the skin under his fur was turning to purple.
"Yes mom, stop." Gideon said, walking towards the door. "I'll be back. I have to run an errand. Just keep him busy some other way."
Gideon ran out the door, and Raymond was wondering where he was going. "He's been leaving me with you all day!" Raymond sighed.
"Is there a problem with that?" Carol asked, pretending to be offended.
"No!" Raymond said, not realizing she was kidding, "there isn't a problem with that," he started babbling incoherently.
"I was kidding Raymond, kidding." Carol said quickly, trying to get him to shut up.
"Oh." Raymond said, blushing, "Ummm, that was awkward."
"Maybe you should go get some sleep?" Carol suggested. "You look tired."
"I might as well," Raymond sighed, "Gideon's not here." Raymond started walking upstairs and stopped. "Did I ever say thank you for letting me stay?"
"A million times. Just go to Gideon's room." Carol said with a smile.
Raymond just walked up and collapsed on Gideon's bed. The last thought before he fell asleep was a thought that wondered what Gideon was doing.

Gideon knew that the Fur Pride was an expensive, and fancy, restaurant so he had to go get something that was somewhat fancy to wear. He decided to skip the mall, he didn't want to force his sister into driving him more places than she had to, so he just ran to the nearest clothing store.
It had clothes that would fit in at the restaurant, and Gideon knew that he had bought Raymond a few semi fancy outfits. He was having a hard time hiding this from Raymond. He couldn't wait until he could get his license.
He got to the store and stepped in, stopping a minute to get used to the cold air conditioning. It was freezing in here and he wanted to get out so he quickly went to the mens section, trying to find the best outfit he could.
He found a pair of black jeans that fit him well and they had the red tracings of a dragon over the back pockets and down the sides of the legs. He tried on a few shirts before settling on a black shirt with the red tracings of a wolf on the front.
A dragon on his pants and a wolf on his shirt, he just realized that it was a perfect match for the relationship he was in. He laughed to himself until he got to the cashier. She scanned the items and put them in a bag. "That will be Twenty-Four dollars." she said in a tone that said, I don't give a shit, just get your stuff and get out.
He handed her the money and walked out. It had gotten even hotter while he was inside and he couldn't run without sweating rivers so he had to settle on walking. He hated walking because of how slow he moved. He stayed to the shade, hoping that he wouldn't stain the white shirt he was wearing.
Unfortunately for him he saw a gang. They looked over and noticed he was a rich kid and walked over and surrounded him. "Where ya going?" one of the gangsters, this one a dragon, asked him.
"Home, now move." Gideon said, getting irritated and kinda frightened. He felt a blow land on his jaw and he heard another one say. "That ain't gonna happen."
He heard a click and he froze. He slowly turned around and noticed that one of them had a gun. The gangster with a gun said, "Beat the shit out of him. Make him feel pain."
"Why are you doing this?" Gideon asked fearfully, as he felt a blow land on his head.
"Because we hate rich people." Gideon started to fight back but was already to injured to do anything. He was forced to his knees due to the pain and he looked at the one with the gun. "Have any last words?" the man asked him. Gideon could only whimper.
He heard the loud explosion of a bullet flying out of the barrel of a gun before everything faded into darkness. The last thing he registered were people yelling and screaming, some running towards him.
