#1 of Anthro

An old story which I translated for a second time into English. It's about two guys who go back in the past to create a better world in future by bringing the "good" to the Dogs and Wolves of the past. But like oftenly -- everything comes different than expected.

The roles are played by Anthro Wolves and Anthro Dogs.

Invasion of the fourth dimension

Chapter one - The stranger

It was late in the evening when a strange figure knocked at the door of a small house. This barrack stood at the corner of a big, big forest. The orange light was shining through the little windows but the strange figure was covered by the late darkness.

It didn't take long until somebody opened. The wooden door creaked and the light went over the visitor's face. It was a young grey Wolf with bright yellow eyes and black cheek fur. He was slight and of medium size.

"Good evening!" the stranger said.

He carried a small rucksack on his back made of leather.

"Good evening!" the old bitch answered. She was a cream-coloured poodle and lived in that barrack totally alone.

"I wanted to ask if I can stay here tonight. My name's Grenko. I've been walking for so many kilometres from another village. I'm really sorry to disturb you that lately ... but I'm really hungry and my stomach is grumbling ..."

"It's fine, come in!"

She answered with a gentle smile at her face. The old bitch had no doubt this Wolf was a good guy. She had got a kind of sense of it. So he was allowed to enter. She stood aside and let him in. The Wolf smiled relieved and put his rucksack off.

"What a lucky chance" she said when shutting the door. "I've just coked a vegetable soup. I'm sure it will be enough for both of us. In fact ..." she went on while mixing the soup, "it's so much soup, it would be enough for a third visitor ..."

"I see" he said and sat down on the wooden bench. The small barrack was totally made of wood and the weak light from the petrol lamp gave a homelike feeling. The chimney heated the small room.

At the same time a bright light went over the sky. First one light came up and then further lights followed. A dozen lights flew through the night sky. They went down after a while behind the woods. The strange flying objects had landed.

"Want another bowl of soup, young wanderer?"

The old poodle bitch smiled and showed him the ladle. The bright green fluid dropped back into the pot. The young Wolf wagged his tail and he was about to answer with his lifted forefinger. But suddenly a strong knocking disturbed the evening silence. Their faces turned to the door's direction.

"O-oh no ..." Grenko said frightened.

"This must be the subworkers ..."

"Subworkers?" the old one asked wondering.

"Yah! When I visited the last village where I have been, I had to steal some food from a market. Foolishly the salesman noticed it. I could escape but he sought revenge."

Just after he explained his situation he went to the potato basket to hide behind it. The old bitch followed with a weird look but she didn't say anything. While he hid there in the corner behind the basket the poodle opened the door.

A dark and tall figure stood behind it, it didn't move. The look of the old one's face had been a mix of surprised and fascinated. The old one wasn't able to say anything ... she was staring at the stranger without any word or move.

"Good evening?"

A young and strong female voice asked.

"Is that what you wanted to say?"

The female voice belonged to a big proud anthro She-Wolf. She wore black clothes only. A leather jacket with a lot of pockets, leather trousers with a black belt and very modern boots - also made of leather. And she had got black fur. Her blue eyes gave an interesting contrast to her dark body. She was young and had a good-looking figure.

The poodle couldn't almost believe this person was real. She had such a strange appearance. So the bitch almost forgot to answer.

"Ehhr, yes ... of course ... evening ... good evening!"

The blue eyes of that She-Wolf froze her. This look ... this look was able to kill!

The black dressed one spoke forward.

"Would you allow me to stay here for one night? I really had a long, long journey and I feel totally tired."

Now the strict look she had got in her eyes was covered by her weak and heavy eye lids.

Grenko didn't know her but he decided to stay in the ambush. Maybe the market guy had got a female supporter?

The poodle bitch wasn't even able to answer because the stranger already entered. Her big black appearance didn't match to this tiny poor room. The bitch which was living in that house tried to react the best way when saying:

"I cooked a vegetable soup. If you like I can fill up a bowl for you."

The tired stranger sat down on the wooden bench leaning her head on the slim arm. The flickering of the chimney fire in the background made you think the two persons had been alone.

"Yah, why not."

The poodle filled up a bowl and smiled like a care taking mother.

"So what's your name, pretty She-Wolf?"

"Call me Erona", she answered.

"My name is Trude." Smile.

"Do you expect another visitor?" the young one asked while looking across the wooden small table to the half empty bowl of soup.

"No ... why do you ask?" the poodle bitch was wondering.

"'cause you already are using two bowls?!"

Trude laughed embarrassed.

"Yes ... no ... of course not. But, you know ... I always fill up two bowls of my soup because I always eat at least two portions. I want the second bowl to become a little cooler until I ate the first bowl of soup."

"I see ..." the big She-Wolf answered suspiciously.

Erona ate the bowl of soup and pushed the dishes aside. It didn't taste at all, because she didn't know _food_anymore. But at least she had been sated now.

"Where do you come from, Erona?"

The poodle collected the dishes and looked at her full of expectation.

The proud She-Wolf yawned before she answered.

"I'm sure you won't now that place."

But the old one had been persistent. "No, no, just tell me!"

"My home is far, far away from here. It's called Terabyte."

Trude shook her head and said: "Never heard of this place."

"See?" the black dressed one told and put her heavy head on the arms. But suddenly she lifted her head and threw a look onto the basked staying in the corner. For just a moment ... she thought ...

When she was almost sure there was nothing or nobody because Grenko kept totally still again she noticed the warm chimney. The black Wolf left the bench and went to the fire.

"I'll take some heat. It's pretty cold out there."

The She-Wolf knelt in front of the fire holding the paws carefully where the warmth came from.

A greedy greening stroked over the old one's face. Her eyes glint when she noticed ... the gold! The noble metal was blazing from the dark pocket of her black jacket. She had got ... gold! The old one couldn't believe it. The stranger was rich and she was here ... in her tiny hut. It had to be a miracle. The poodle started dreaming ... if she just could earn a piece of it ... she would be able to appoint a maidservant ... even a horse she could buy with that gold. Thousands of wishes could become true ... just because of the strange She-Wolf! She made her becoming rich ...

The greedy poodle left the table and went closer to the black Wolf. She asked gently.

"Don't you want to put your jacket off?"

She touched her clothes and put her paws on the back of the stranger.

"It must be a little too warm in front of the chimney?"

"No, thanks" the She-Wolf replied.

"But your jacket maybe catches a spark from the fire ... it's dangerous for you!"

"The whole life is dangerous" she answered tiredly.

"Yes ... but ... come on ... I'll put it on the bench so ..." "I said no!" she said wrathfully.

But the poodle had to get the gold! Her dreams almost became true ... just some pieces of the nice ... beautiful ... gold. She laid her paw on her flank.

"Don't worry, if you want to sleep you should take your jacket off."

Trude got it! She got some coins. But she was longing for more.

When she wanted to stroke the stranger once again the She-Wolf shouted.

"Get your dirty paws off me!"

She jumped up and clenched her fists.

"Do you think I'm complete nuts?! Do you old witch believe I wouldn't notice if you steal my gold?"

The old one stared at her with a look like a caught child.

"Keep the stupid gold ... hopefully someone will kill you for it. It shall be your punishment!"

The strong black She-Wolf was about to leave the barrack. She had enough of that greedy host. No one was able to keep her here. But when she lifted her paw to open the door an axe hit the wooden wall besides her head. Her pupils stretched when her look went on that tool of murder. Did she really try ...? The lady in black almost couldn't believe the 'gentle host with the vegetable soup' just attempted to kill her with that axe. After a second she handled with this situation she turned her head throwing a look into the face of the old poodle. The bitch knew she had lost her only chance to win ... the surprising effect was gone now and the strange one didn't look like a weak or frightened visitor.

"I ... I ..."

But no excuses were able to make this undone. The black female visitor shut her mouth again. Her shocked look changed into a very evil one.

"You tried to kill me for some coins ...?!" she whispered in a threatening way.

The old one shook her head. Then she went down on her knees and begged for grace.

"Please ... p-please ... do not ... kill meeee ..."

The She-Wolf sneaked closer.

"I will show you what ways there are to release someone from his greed."

"N-n-noooo!"

Grenko had been too perplexed to act in any way. What he saw there was like a surreal dream and he didn't feel able to do something for or against it.

The last thing you could see was a bright flash light and a crack like a cut. Blood splattered against the small window.

Silence.

"Where have you been, A3l82?!" the busy Werewolf in front of the flat screen computer asked without turning the look at her. She entered a big glass hall with white light from all overall. Her black dress gave an interesting contrast to the white modern room. Her footstep was self-assured and strong.

"Doesn't matter" she just replied.

She still looked tired and went to another working place with one of these modern computers. The anthro Wolf in front of the first computer wore a special modern warrior dress with black and green colours. He head got dark grey fur and a long scar at the left part of his face. Even he seemed to work quite concentrated, he didn't accept 'doesn't matter' as an answer to his question.

"So you went out ..."

"Maybe" she said and took place on the office chair. Her blue eyes looked tired and she had no interest in this kind of conversation now. Suddenly she got her strength back and stood up. The young female Wolf with the complete black fur went to a glass cupboard. It was the fridgerator. A green laser light illuminated the glass, it really looked futuristically.

"So you offended against rule number 1: No contact to the past-canids before the big 'bringing'." He didn't look up while he said that. His big grey paw pulled the computer mouse.

"This is no good ... my dear."

"Get off my back" she said and took one of the bottles from the fridge. A pink fluid made bubbles. "This is not a holiday camp. I'm adult as you may know. I can take care of myself."

"As you said" he interrupted her, "we are not on holiday! You endanger the whole operation. If you don't ..."

Just in this moment an alarm sounded. A red flash light showed the grey Wolf where the alarm came from.

"Holy shit, not again!"

He jumped off the chair and left the room immediately. Erona put the bottle in the glass table after nipping from it and looked tired on the screen. In fact she knew what or who caused the alarm.

"Unit 5 goes there and unit 6 goes with me" the big grey anthro Wolf screamed after leaving the big round glass building. Bright laser lights searched the ground around the headquarters. Dozens of dogs wearing uniforms in blue and red followed the boss' instructions. Every one of them had got a yellow number on his chest. Only the boss himself looked differently from his men. The armed units searched the whole basis. Someone had climbed over the fence.

The last one who left the building was Erona, the black She-Wolf anthro. She was quite sure she knew where the alarm came from. They had been sure they were not alone in that barrack.

She slowly walked over the flat grassland. It was dark outside but her infrared glasses supported her look in the dark.

Behind an old oak the young grey Wolf, Grenko, hid. He feared being caught by the strange canids with these bizarre clothes. What was going on here? What had he been involved in? The only thing he knew was - it was better to keep quite now. If they found out he was the one who intruded he could be in danger. He decided to look for a better ambush. He turned to look for a shrub but right after the first move he noticed the dark figure of the She-Wolf.

"Oh ... oh ... no?"

"Are you looking for danger?" she asked with a cool voice. Her look had been strict and admonished.

"Ehhr ... I ... guess ... not."

The young male Wolf knew he had been caught. He feared she would do the same to him as she did to the old poodle bitch.

"Are you ... going to kill me now ... as you did it with the old one?"

His voice was a mix of fear and anger. He was testimony for what she did.

"It was self-defence. Nothing more and nothing less."

Erona lifted a special gun. It had been made of dark glass - so it looked like. What was this pistol going to shoot?

"You could be the next one if you don't take care."

His muzzle was shivering, he liked to say something. He felt quite hatefully.

"Get off here! This is your last chance."

Even the young Wolf had been mad at her he took his chance and ran off. He flew over the fence again and disappeared in the night.

Right after that the fifth unit appeared at Erona's position. She was standing in front of the oak ash she liked to enjoy the cold night or if she had been looking for fungi.

"Did you get that spy?!" she asked with a loud voice.

"We're still about, commander A3l82!" the head of the unit replied while the whole group was running like startled chicken.

"We'll get him, commander A3l82!" the voice added while they disappeared again. A small and mocking smile in her face was undiscovered.

After a while the units met again at the position where the boss was waiting.

"So what?! Where is that stupid little intruder? Did you get him?!"

"We ... we are sorry, commander in charge HK06. We'll look behind the fence if you order so!"

"No you won't, fool! Do you want to smash the whole operation before fun begins? Go back to your old positions and wait for further alarm!"

"Aye aye, CIC HK06!" the bulldog saluted and ordered his men to follow. The soldiers left HK's position. The angry commander whispered furiously.

"Such losers!"
