"Sasuke..."
"I'm sorry I forced myself on you... I was just... I was desperate... I didn't want to lose you."
"Lose me?"
"To Kiba." A wave of ice washed over him, the realisation that Sasuke must have seen them together... "I'm sorry, I should have..."
Naruto once again was dumbstruck, he had been seen with Kiba and by Sasuke no less. But Sasuke hadn't thought of him as disgusting, hadn't stopped being his friend, no, Sasuke had been forced into his own private hell of torment and worry. Naruto had been so focused on his own problems he had completely forgotten about everyone else. When Sasuke had kissed him, he had been afraid, it was the same as when Kiba had forced himself on him; but Sasuke had backed off. The kiss had been different as well. Iruka had spoken about love and affection, maybe this was what had been speaking about. There was only one way to find out.
"Sasuke..." Naruto gently put his hand under Sasuke's chin and raised his head so he could look him in the eye. Sasuke's eyes had never been so expressive before, the black pools glimmering with tears, a glint of hopefulness shining deep within them at Naruto's touch. Having no more words, Naruto did the only thing he could think of, he leant forward and pressed his lips to Sasuke's.*******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Club Shuriken - Part 3
Hinata followed Sakura to the dance floor, the pink hair kunoichi guiding her by the hand, through the throng of people to the centre of the dance floor. Hinata was extremely uncomfortable, she hated being surrounded like this, several people bumped into her as they danced. Her distress obvious to Sakura, she pulled Hinata closer and began to dance.
"It's okay Hinata, just relax." Sakura assured her, beginning to sway in time with the music, Hinata followed her lead. She began to relax, felt like she could feel the ebb and flow of the crowd, she moved with them, no longer getting knocked around. She danced with Sakura, Lee had his arms wrapped round Sakura's waist from behind, moving in time with her. Beginning to feel a bit like a third wheel, she hoped that Naruto would get back soon, she felt herself blush as she imagined Naruto dancing with her the way Lee danced with Sakura. She looked over to see her cousin and Ten-ten dancing in a similar fashion. She couldn't deny that they looked good together, Neji had always been good at anything he did, in comparison she felt like he should be the heir to the Hyuga clan; not her. The music faded away and the DJ began to speak into a microphone, his voice echoing throughout the club.
"How are you all doing tonight!?" The crowd cheered at him. "I can't hear you!" The crowds cheer became a roar. "Now it's time for an old favourite past time of mine, you all know it, it's time... for the DANCE OFF!" The crowd roared again, Hinata had to cover her ears it was so loud.
"This atmosphere screams with the power of youth! I will let my youth burn brightly!" Lee exclaimed as everyone made a space in front of the stage. The music started again, an infectious beat reverberated though out the club. A man stepped into the centre of the circle as the music began, his foot tapping to the beat as the temp increased, he pointed to the DJ who pointed back.
"Show me what you got my man!" The DJ ordered, the musical intro finally ending and the song exploding to life. The man practically exploded with movement, Hinata could barely believe the confidence that radiated off the man as he danced. Every movement in time with the music, each movement purposeful and dramatic. The crowd roared with cheers as they watched the man do his routine.
"Go on Neji baby!" Ten-ten yelled as she shoved him into the circle, the other man gracefully taking his leave to let Neji take the stage. Neji was motionless for a second before he began to dance. Hinata had never seen Neji dance beyond the formal dances held at the Hyuga gatherings, but Neji was incredible. His movements were fluid and graceful. Neji moved across the dance floor like silk, his foot work impeccable, his arms ceaseless in their motions. Hinata had to remind herself to breath as she watched her cousin dance. Neji ended his routine with a flourish of movements with such speed that the crowd let out a noise of amazement before cheering, the moves Hinata recognised as a variation of the gentle fist technique the Hyuga clan was famous for.
As he finished, the song ended and another immediately began to play. Lee literally leapt into the centre of the circle, his expression as serious as Hinata had ever seen it. The entire crowd went silent and an unmistakeable air of tension rose over the dance floor. Hinata felt nervous and she wasn't even the one standing before this huge crowd, every second seemed to pass incredibly slowly as everyone watched and waited for Lee to move.
With enthusiasm and energy that only Lee could muster, Lee exploded into his routine, his speed almost defied belief. His body a writhing mass of limbs, moving in sync with the music before he began to break dance, back flipping onto his hands, pushing himself off the ground and into the air catching himself by landing on a single hand as he struck a pose, time seemed to stop at that moment before he slide to the ground in a smooth motion. Lee began to spin on his back, his spin not ceasing as he raised his legs and then pushing himself so he was fully vertical, his feet pointing to the sky as he continued spinning on a single hand. With another explosion of motion Lee was suddenly air-born, his body still spinning and somersaulted through the air and landing on his feet and unleashing out a primal roar. The crowd cheered and just like that the dance off ended, everyone beginning to dance amongst themselves again. Several people congratulated Neji and Lee on their routines.
Hinata looked round and found that Naruto was still no where in sight, he had been gone for a while now. She looked to see everyone dancing in their respective couples, feeling out of place she decided to go and see what was taking Naruto so long, she wanted to dance, to feel him close to her; the thought of it making her blush. After finally navigating her way through the crowd Hinata went through the double doors and stepped into the brightly lit corridor.
"Naruto-kun?" She called down the hallway. After getting no response she began to make her way down the empty corridor, her footsteps echoed as she walked. She wondered if she was doing the right thing, Naruto could be out on the dance floor looking for her now. She slowed her pace as hesitation washed over her, she rounded a corner and looked down the corridor, still no sign of Naruto. That's when she saw a sword laying on the floor, it looked like Naruto's, she moved to pick it up when she heard a noise from the door to her left. "Naruto?" Hinata whispered, slowly moving to the door and pushing it open. The light from the hallway flooded the room and she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Sasuke and Naruto were kissing, their hands roaming across each other, Naruto's shirt had been ripped open and Sasuke's hand hidden in Naruto's shirt. They turned when they heard Hinata whisper.
"Naruto... kun?" Hinata whimpered on the verge of tears. Hinata couldn't believe this was happening... she must have fallen asleep and was having a nightmare.
"Oh shit... Hinata!" Hinata fled with a chocked sob, Naruto shoving past Sasuke in pursuit.
Hinata ran as fast as she could. She could hear Naruto following her, shouting her name, but she couldn't face him, not now. She had been so excited and the night had been going so perfectly, why did it have to end this way? She burst through a pair of doors at the end of the hall way and found herself outside. It was pouring with rain now, she was immediately soaked, but that was the last thing on her mind. Knowing that Naruto was right behind her she ran and hid behind a large green dumpster.
She heard the door burst open as Naruto emerged from the building.
"Hinata! Hinata! I'm sorry! Hinata!" He yelled. She could here him pacing back and forth as he looked for her. She heard him let out a cry of frustration and kick the dumpster she was hiding behind. Hinata barely managed to stop herself letting out a squeak of surprise when the dumpster moved.
"I'm so dead..." Naruto muttered before he headed back inside the building. Hearing the door swing shut again, knowing he was gone Hinata could no longer hold back her tears.
