the Light Of A Thousand Stars
A poem I wrote for a friend during a very hard time.
She has the light of a thousand stars
Shining in her golden heart
Bringing to my world her joy
And tearing these clouds far apart.
So she can see who's really me
Beneath this dream of reality
And turn my cold back to warm
turn my grey back to white.
But now I feel I owe her much
Ill do just that, just wait you see
So she can see who's really me.
Beneath these things disturbing me.
I tried to keep you sheltered from it
But it almost seems
That the more I try to do that
The more it backfires on me.
But even as you helped me fight
the shadows of depression,
There was something in your eyes
that gave me this impression.
Its almost like you need MY help.
Something to keep you sane,
So let me help as you helped me.
In that there is no shame.
