Chapter 1: Another Day

"Hey, don't forget what we did, the time we shared and most of all our bond together. We made a promise....remember?"

The groggy wolf was awoken from his dream by his alarm at 6' in the morning with time to get ready for another day at school. Raze yawned and rustled his fur on his head to wake up from his tired self, placing his hands in front of his eyes and down to his muzzle.

"Why am I still having this dream?" A question that still ponders this wolf. He shakes it off like every other time it happens and does his morning rituals. Brushing his teeth, bathing and getting his stuff ready for today. Dressed in a blue polo and white slacks, the 5'7 blue wolf sets off going to school by walking.

Griping my grumbling stomach I start to have thoughts to myself. "Man, I really got to start eating in the morning.." Surpassing the main gate and heading straight to the hallway where my class is, I kept thinking about what I should be doing after school and catching up with my friends since a week has already gone by since school started.

"Tim better not goof off with our project that's due in Sep-Ompff!" Falling flat on my ass I gripping my head as I looked in front of me to see an unfamiliar face, a well sized and toned german shepherd who looked quite fetching. Snapping out of my daze I got up to help him up gather his stuff from the ground "Hey sorry I wasn't watching where i was going."

He looked up to me and then he started to blush. "No, I'm the one who should be apologizing, I was looking at my schedule to see where I had class, this is actually my first day.."

I simply let out a sigh of relief from gathering his stuff (and that he wasn't some asshole) and replied, "Hey no prob, the names Raze and let me see your schedule."

"I'm Diego, and thanks" he exclaimed coolly with a wag from his tail as he gave his schedule to me, I flashed Diego a grin when I grabbed him by the arm and told him that it was this way.

With him following behind me he reached into his first class, well.. our class. Diego was surprised, setting down his stuff besides me. With him flashing a smile "You could've told me we were in the same class."

I turn to face him and shrugged, "What fun would that be? C'mon the lessons gonna start." After he had introduced himself in front of the class, we chatted and joked for a bit. I had to help him with the basics and showing around since that was given I figured might as well introduce him to my friends since he's new and he seems cool.

"Finally, I'm starving!" I said as the bell rang, grabbing my bag and quickly walked over to the cafeteria with Diego trailing behind of me. I glance over to him and pointed out that I'm just going to quickly get a food drink and he just nodded.

As I got back he was still waiting for me watching all around, I just gave out a smile. "Hehe, looks like I got to watch over you." As I handed him his soda, Diego just gave a quick chuckle, "Says the person who's 5 inches shorter. And thanks" "Point taken let's go" As we walked through I looked over to see my wonderful friends who acts like they are on top of the world, might have been an over exaggeration of them because of the summer but I love them still.

"So wait, you went to the Caribbean in a cruise and it was boring?" The bear asked, puzzled and annoyed "Because even I would kill for a cruise anywhere in this blasted heated area." "Yeah it was just... Oh hi." The Persian cat flicked her eyes for a moment to see it was me.

The Spirit bear looked over to see why they had stopped talking "Hey Raze who's the new guy?" I gave a look at Diego as if asking if he wants me to introduce him and Diego didn't dawdle and just stepped up beside me, "Hi I'm Diego, this is actually my first day, nice to meet you guys. Raze was showing me around and he said we can chill out here."

I went to sit next to Diego on the other side and started introducing my friends, "Alright you all met Diego, the bear's Tim, carefree guy in the group" Tim gave me a sarcastic glare which I brush off. "Then we got Sam, the guy who loves and plays games all day." The weasel gave a thumbs up approving that he has no shame to where I have to admit I like games too. "And finally Anna, the drama queen who knows nearly everyone damn business" The cat with her hands on her chin looking over to Diego and gave him cheery look, "Hi and welcome to the group."

Anna pulled Diego over immediately to get to know him, eh... might as well knock himself out. "I gotta go somewhere and get a couple of things." Tim said. I glance over to see Tim and Sam returning to their conversation, "Can I come?" the weasel chimed.

"I don't know, it's kinda far-"

"Doesn't matter, then after we can hit the arcade later." Sam interrupted as he starts elbowing the sighing bear.

"Fine." "Alright, Raze you wanna come too?" I just gave out a chuckle, "Nah got some shopping later on, you guys never change, have fun."

Tim and Sam are actually neighbors and Tim may be my age but Sam is actually 2 years younger than us. Surprisingly he doesn't want to hang out with anybody from his year.

The bell rang and then we all headed towards our class, me and Diego had P.E however I asked coach if we can be excused so I can show Diego around and he gave an approval saying that it was the start of the year so no biggie. As we got out Diego ask if he could borrow some notes to keep up with class and I gave him them.

I pointed to the left of the hallway, "Ok, this is where we are gonna get chemistry," and then I showed him the class right next to us "and there is where we are gonna get English."

Diego seemed like he's actually enjoying himself when we were exploring, giving out nods and listening to what I said, he would sometime stare off into space. Maybe he's just putting up with me since we have a free period and we're just doing nothing but wandering.

Diego was reading my notes over IT when he looked up and was still looking pleased but then he noticed somebody leaning against a locker and just stared at him. Diego goes straight towards him and waved towards the jaguar. "Hey Trev, is that you?"

The jaguar looked up to see who was calling and he was watching Diego, I was getting nervous and was only staring into the jaguar's memorizing golden eyes, "Agh don't get distracted! How does Diego know this guy?"

'Trev' finally responded towards him. "Diego? How long has it been?" And then he notices me.

"Oh this is Raze, Raze this is Trevor." Jeez this is getting awkward, I'm right in the middle of a reunion. 'Hi' was the only thing i could've mustered with my tail in between my legs. He was gazing at me as if studying me "Hi.." Crap I look like such an idiot now, as if I'm the new guy here.

He looks kinda like Diego's height but taller by a small margin, but they nearly had the same body structure. Diego had just finished conversing with him and place his hand on his shoulder "Well see ya, it's nice to see a familiar face." "Yeah.." As Trevor said looking down as if deep in thought. We were going to walk it but as we saw the time we started running because we were gonna be late for that class cause it was nearly across from school.

We were both panting as we barely made it in time and took our seats as I faced him, "Hey, got a sec? I was wondering how do you know him?"

He was slightly tired but he just rested his head on his arms, "An old friend, we used to go school where I came from."

"Oh alright." He was looking annoyed for some reason that I wanted to know every little detail so just shut my muzzle and continued on my day.

***************** "Phew~" I opened up the front door of my house and placed the groceries in the kitchen and went directly into my room only to plop right into my bed. "What a day, going from keeping up with class to showing Diego everywhere. Well at least i got to meet his handsome friend...Trevor huh..." Speaking of which I never really saw him that much, he looked about my age, "Meh he's probably in the other class." I started to get sleepy with all these things floating in my head, drowsiness starts to hit me as I yawned and closed my eyelids.

"At least there's tomorrow."
