To be clear I like catching readers off guard so I wont be as predictable as some other writers.
As nice as it would be I do not own Pokemon. I did however create the characters and the written story you see here. Please ask for permission before using any characters in this story.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Ventures of Beyond
CH: 4
Shiro woke up in the medical wing of the guild. "When did I...?" he noticed something warm was beside him and he looked over curiously to find Aya sleeping soundly.
"Ehhh!" he yelled as he jumped to his feet the other pokemon turned their heads towards him startled.
"Awake at last?" a familiar voice said
Shiro turned his head towards the second in in command of the guild, Milotic.
Milotic looked at Aya then to Shiro. She hasn't moved since we brought you in two weeks ago. We even had to bring her food she feels that she owes you but I doubt that's the only thing.
"What do you mean?" Shiro asked
"Perhaps you will find out one day Shiro, but for now let's get you some real food." Milotic woke Aya up.
Aya only for a split second looked exited to see Shiro was awake but then she said. "What's wrong with you? Were you so desperate to show off your new attacks that you forgot the basics of preventing poison from spreading through your body? "
"I-I must have just been too focused to pay it enough attention. I'm sorry if I caused too much trouble."
"Are you two quite done lunch is being served and I don't want to miss it?" Milotic stated and the three left.

"Shiro! You're awake!" A female Riolu called as she rushed over and picked him up squeezing him with a tight hug.
"Marishi I can't breathe" Shiro wheezed. Marishi has always been Shiro's closest friend that was around his age in the guild. He had met her during his second month in the guild and she was always cheering him on. The two promised to be teammates when the time came for their first mission.
She put him down "I'm so glad you're ok now I've been so worried but Ninetales said that I might disturb the other patients if I went to visit you."
Aya shot Marishi a sharp glare and walked away.
'What was that about?' Shiro thought
"I did but Ninetales wanted to talk to you as soon as possible, I don't think it's good though" she replied looking away from him. "She was upset when she found out that you were in a dungeon on your own."
"I will see her after I eat, I'm missed 2 weeks of food and I'm starving" Shiro said "Look how much smaller I am" he joked pretending that he was just skin and bone.
Marishi laughed and the two went to eat.

Shiro and Marishi went to Ninetales's room to speak with her.
"Shiro come in please" Ninetales said when they arrived.
Shiro walked in and Marishi waited at the door.
"Guildmaster Ninetales, You asked to see me when I was awake?" he asked politely.
"Yes Shiro I'm disappointed in you for disobeying the guild rules and entering a dungeon without permission or a team to back you up. I would punish you but two weeks in the medical wing is good enough for that. On the other paw you saved my precious daughter and that deserves a reward. Marishi come here please."
"Y-yes Guildmaster Ninetales" Marishi said
"You two were planning to form a team weren't you?" Ninetales asked
"Yes Guildmaster I even came up with a name for our team" she answered "I was thinking Team Fortitude"
"I like it." Shiro said
"Yes I think that's a strong name for you two. So be it from this day forward you will be known as Team Fortitude" Ninetales said "I have a warning to give you too Shiro. You have gotten yourself involved in something dangerous and so I'm sending you two off with Team Arrowhead for special training. They will fill you in on the details tonight."
