Chapter Five: Rifts Between Us, Part Two

“Hello and tonight, well tonight we have some very special news for you; we are not alone in this universe and more tonight on Early Late with Jimmy Colbert at eleven o’clock.” Iren looked away from her phone up onto the super computer, it was currently sensing through the entire internet, everything on these Riftwalkers that it could find.

“Oh god, the Riftwalkers are trending.” Erick said from his phone as he looked through twitter streams. Erick looked over at Iren who looked worried, Finn and Isaac were gone. If these Riftwalkers went rouge or such then they might not be able to do anything to defend themselves or worse they might snap their fingers and the town erased instantly.

“Ok this is bad, and where the hell is Michelle?” Iren yelled as she tried to figure out the scope of this event. They might be able to keep the Riftwalker’s excitement to the range of Carson City. And all the way on the other end of Carson City chaos was breaking out.

Not because of the Riftwalkers attacking, no but because of the threat they posed. Militants dressed in full combat gear moved around with large weapon crates and riot shields. They prepared the Airships for takeoff in case they needed to preform and evacuation of the city or combat with the Riftwalkers from the sky.

Inside the Carson City Military Base Center everything was still going off with more or less of a hitch. General Maverick stood over a board looking at the camera feed as the curtains opened. Livewire and Michelle took count of how many reflective bodies or eyes they could count behind the curtains.

“Ok, let’s be realistic they might have a fraction of Ignatius’s power, for all we know they were just trying to show off or maybe they donated power to him in order to show such force, we have no idea what they could be capable of doing until we face them.” Michelle said as she tried to logically think about the situation. Looking over Livewire was looking at his phone; she hoped the shark was looking at media reactions.

“These Riftwalkers, do they have passports, no; do they have a right to be on our land; we need to build a wall around these Rifttalkers and make sure that they don’t steal our jobs.”

Livewire giggled as he looked down at his phone, already politics had grasped hold of this subject and politicians were reacting to the event as they always did, poorly. Closing that video and clicking the next one he looked down at the screen and saw that a million people had already looked at it before him.

“With warnings two years ago, the maverick… him you know, the lame stream media and such, they are already trying to liberally shrink down this story into something it isn’t because once again this is about the Pakistani; I mean Rift people and them taking our jobs.”

The brown hair politician then pushed the microphone out of her way and walked away back into her house, where she then presumably went back on spying on the Siberians. Livewire closed the video and saw Michelle glance at him and he realized he needed to take this seriously, which he wouldn’t anyway so what was the point of trying.

Livewire couldn’t have been the only one who thought this was funny and already World News Today had assembled a tiny debate. He clicked on the live stream and three hundred thousand people were watching. This was bigger than Fish plays Pokken Tournament.

“Now then on to our next politician, Benny Flanders and what he thinks on this situation, Benny?” Passing the microphone and letting the camera turn the live stream erupted in joy as the old candidate was put on screen. In the live chat memes and quotes were thrown out as people got excited.

“These Rift people, they have things to say and we need to be sure that they aren’t going to rise up but protect us, they said that some people were coming but who is coming and why do we need protection from them…” Benny said and would have finished if he were not interrupted.

“Bull Crap.” The camera turned towards the next politician Zod Crux, long thought to be the Ecliptic Killer, said as he took the microphone out of Benny’s hands and instead took the reins of the conversation. “These Riftwalkers want to kill us and run our country instead, we need to stop them, we need boots on the ground and we need the nuclear football thrown while we have it or before they intercept it from us!”

“Interesting position let’s see what Ted Larson thinks.” The camera turned again and came to a sleeping man and then the live feed was cut out. Michelle unplugged the internet. Livewire glared out her and as she plugged it in he decided to at least attempt to pay attention.

“Ok, well then I can count at least twenty five but it seems that their might be more in the back of the stage or some behind or some that stayed behind; now Loraine said they came from a different world, that must mean they can have some sort of teleport technology.” Maverick said as he looked at the screen and tried to comprehend so many enemies that could all be attempting to kill them.

“That’s right but still not everyone thinks they are here to kill us, they could just as easily be attempting to protect us, they said something about Kagens; but what in God’s name is a Kagen and why do I feel so worried about it, Livewire any idea here?” Michelle said as she tried to figure out some idea, something that would make sense for them to follow any idea would have worked but they need a good idea.

“Well maybe it’s a race like theirs, something or someone that could travel like them, other universes, dimensions, the whole speal they were going on about, I’d place my bets on that. New Universes, new world” Livewire said as he reconnected with the internet and went back to watching cats react to the Rifts.

“No it has to be something internal, let’s see if I can get into the Outsider computer data base then I might be able to find them, if the Kagens were a race once lost and now gone, or if they were in a previous language then it could search through and find it.” Michelle said as she pulled out her laptop and started to type, she just needed one hit with Kagen or Riftwalker and then she could search through that.

She looked disappointed, the database had nothing on Kagen or Riftwalker’s visiting the Earth in the past. Livewire looked at her and she looked away. She was thinking and she wondered who the Kagens were maybe they were aliens, aliens that might come from space. She looked up into the sky trying to imagine what they’d be like.

Finn grabbed onto the tree holding on with all his might, Owlman was right in front of him and he was just floating there. The glass window shattered and space came in and air went out. Finn quickly put his hand forward and formed a blast of electricity and then another a few inches away and then more and more.

And then giving them a jolt they flew forward as they connected and formed a shield of sorts. The hole was plugged and the pressure of oxygen behind them kept it on. Finn let go of the tree and looked at Owlman who was looking inside of the space station.

Isaac put his earbuds in and placed in his mixtape. He floated the feather in his hands and waited for a few seconds as he heard a knocking, ignoring it he just figured it was Finn.

“Finn be quiet I need to focus, or else I will rip that hand off, replace it with a mechanical one and then rip it off again.” Isaac yelled as he went back to the feather floating it between his hands he forced gravity on it, a pulling in all directions. The feather shook for a second and then it was spread apart, before collapsing back into feather form.

“Close but no cigar.”

“What you think something like this little thing will actually manage to stop me from killing you where you stand.” Owlman said and then laughed. Finn closed his ears, his laugh ran in his ears and it horrified him. The armored wolf floated forward and reached his hand on the shield, Finn though he would get a shock but instead Owlman simply reached through and passed into the space station.

“What the hell do you want, where on free territory you can’t do this to us right now; go bother the other outsiders.” Finn said as he put his hands out and sparks flung between his fingers. Owlman laughed at that as he walked forward towards Finn.

“Listen Kid, my boss things you are too close to answering some very major questions, so I’ll just have to take the answer sheet from you little cheaters, even it means I have to fly though space.” Owlman said as he reached forward for Finn, Finn knocked his fist away and Owlman simply laughed.

Lunging forward Finn attempted to punch him, but like liquid Owlman simply melted under and reformed. Landing Finn looked at his fists and saw Owlman reformed his body and stand up. Owlman turned around and Finn couldn’t let that happen.

“How’d you get though there?” Finn said as he tried to play dumb, Owlman stopped for a second and his body melted again. Finn smiled this would give him the time he needed. Owlman melted around and played with his body, feathers and hair being tossed around the green liquid. Eyes popped out and Finn realized he was being looked at.

“Hey what the hell are you doing?” Owlman yelled as suddenly Finn activated his powers. Forming an interior electrical pulse in his hands he made a magnetic wave, Finn could only smile at Owlman. The green liquid started to pull away towards Finn and Owlman attempted to reform.

“Sorry it looks like you’re stuck that way until I say so.” Finn said, bubbles came out of Owlman’s liquid, seemingly what had to be curses. Finn approached, spreading his hands out and making sure that Owlman wasn’t going to escape as he got closer.

“Now then let’s see if we can throw you out into space and let’s see how far we can get you out into the void.” Finn said as he smiled, he pulled and managed to pull Owlman off the ground and into the air. Finn took hold of him and held the blob of liquid between his hands. All he needed to do was hold him long enough that he could get him to the back of the craft.

Finn took careful steps as he walked forward towards the back of the craft. And then he felt weak, he was running out of power. Owlman’s bubble shook as he exploded out and reformed into one body. Finn was knocked back but he was at least blocking Owlman from getting to his feather. Putting his hand out Finn stood in the way of Owlman from getting his feather back.

“Now then we can do this the easy way or the hard way, the easy way is that you let me through to Isaac because you are running out of power and cannot fight for much longer or the hard way is that I punch you until you say uncle and I get my feather back.” Owlman said as he delivered the ultimatum. Finn smiled as he heard that.

“Oh I just love ultimatums; they’re like the temper tantrum of supervillains, do what I say or else you’re going to face something very bad or something worse, but still you will stand there and the moon will eclipse the sun.” Finn said with complete confidence.

Owlman stood there for a second. What did he mean by the moon will eclipse the sun, he said it with such a straight face their couldn’t be anything else then what it meant on the surface. Owlman turned around and he saw the moon, but where was the sun. And then he realized what was happening.

“Hey are you trying to pull something!” Owlman yelled as he saw Finn running, he was running to the side of the large glass dome. Finn knelled down and grabbed his target a loose plug. It led back all the way to the solar panels on the outside of the station. And then he pulled electricity from it and into his body.

“Well then now we can have a fair fight.” Finn said as he stood up and looked at Owlman. He was covered in a shade of yellow, Finn’s body was drenched with electricity and it arched off his body and onto the grass burning it. Finn walked forward as he looked at Owlman. And then he applied that energy into his legs.

Glowing less brightly, Finn suddenly appeared next to Owlman and sucker punched him. Owlman was knocked around and thunder blasted as Finn knocked him onto the glass on the other side. Owlman seemingly absorbed most of the impact but looked a little wounded.

“Well that was quite the surprise from you, I didn’t think you had that inside of you, but you fail to think of one thing I can still sense the feather, that is how I tracked you. In fact any nanobot can, I know where every single nanobot in this universe is.” Owlman said as he boasted a speech. Finn smiled and instead disappeared.

Owlman was knocked to the other side of the station again as Finn gave a literal punch of pure thunder and lightning to Owlman. Owlman groaned as he landed against the wall and slid down to the ground. Still he stood up green liquid oozing out of the wounds and filling them in. Owlman smiled as he looked at his wounds healing.

“Oh come on Lighting Bolt you know me still I will fight and I can continue to fight, I can continue to heal because of my nanobots, you can’t destroy them into thinner pieces because they will still reassemble and you cannot and I mean this most sincerely, destroy me.” Owlman said as he put his arms out, Finn smiled and lighting jumped again.

This time he put all his energy into the blast, a massive shockwave blasted out over the station and Owlman was knocked up into the ceiling, his entire body shaking and nearly turning into liquid as he bounced off the ceiling and landed on the center path. Finn laughed a bit as he turned around.

“Oh look at that I’m still alive? See you can’t destroy me, I am invisible, I am on fire and there is nothing you can do to stop me, I will find you and I will kill you and everyone you love and everything you can do to stop us has ended.” Owlman said as he suddenly realized that Lighting Bolt was still smiling.

“Why are you smiling?” Owlman said as he turned and saw Isaac standing at the door, he quickly realized something. “You heard the thunder effect from his punches didn’t you?”

“See you can be a genius, now maybe one person might not be able to destroy you but let’s see about two people.” Isaac put his hands up and pulled back as his hands glowed purple. Before Owlman could do anything about it, Isaac trusted his hands forward and gravity took hold of them. Finn grabbed onto a tree and watched as Owlman was pulled to the back of the station.

“Let’s see how you like a miniature black hole!” Isaac yelled as Owlman quickly realized he was facing a singularity and compressed his body right back into its nano liquid again. Finn opened the hole in his shield and Owlman passed through out and into a tiny hole. He was compressed and as Isaac fell down, back away towards Earth.

“Oh god we did it, he should be gone for now, no way he can survive atmospheric re-entry, I just think we might have to as well.” Isaac said as he laughed, Finn closed the hole and landed back on the ground. He floated over to Isaac and looked confused as he tried to figure out what he meant.

“Isaac what do you mean by atmospheric re-entry?” Finn said as he approached Isaac, he looked out of energy. He must have used all the energy for gravity all in go, which meant that there really was a black hole behind them. Finn looked back and realized that they might have unleashed hell on the Earth.

“Oh don’t worry about that, no enough particles in space to break Plank’s constant, it didn’t get dense enough. By now Hawking Radiation has evaporated it into nothing.” Isaac said as he laid down against the steps, “For us however, the black hole was pulling against everything and it slowed us down, I don’t know how quickly but this is quite the low Earth space station, so we might have twenty or five minutes before we pass under the atmosphere.”

“And you can’t save us somehow, call someone else!” Finn said as he saw the solar panels start to wobble, that were air particles hitting them as they sped towards the ground at twenty five kilometers per second.

“I used all my energy, nothing left to pull us back up; and I think we’re not going to have enough time, but seeing that you used all your power as well I don’t think that shield will hold and I think that we should get inside, grab the feather and hold on for life.” Isaac said as Finn grabbed him and started to pull him.

Ross looked out into the desert it seemingly went on for ever and ever into the distance and they never seemed to be going in the right direction. Looking out dust rolled until suddenly they passed through the barrier, it shattered seemingly and in that second they arrived in the Riftwalker’s camp.

“See I told you I knew where we were going.” Iren said as she pulled out her map and marked the location. Walking out it seemed there were more Riftwalkers than even it first seemed. The camp seemed to be massively spread over the desert and seemed to be large, maybe four hundred yards across, fit with tents and Riftwalkers seemingly set up camps.

As it had appeared a car breaking through the perception filter of the camp had attracted the attention of the Riftwalkers. Iren stepped out and adjusted her shirt and put on sunglasses, instead of getting angry the Riftwalker seemingly walked over and looked at the car. For a second they all spoke in different languages.

“What are they saying I can’t understand them, that is not going to help the Republicans emphasize with them.” Ross said and then seemingly as they recognized that the Outsiders couldn’t understand them, they all started to speak English.

“Ok you sorry bunch, it’s only a car; we’re going to stay here a while so you’ll see plenty more of them later.”

Ross turned around and there was a strange man behind them. He looked like a shark but he had wings folded on his back and horns on his head, his eyes were bright blue and his claws long and pointed. He had a long sword on his back and it seemed to be comically sized, and he had two guns on his side.

“Sorry about them, most of them are warriors from backworld universes and they haven’t see much in advanced technology, and they all speak their own languages they have their own multi-universal translator, as for you two however you should stay by me. By the way; my names Basil.” The shark said as he walked forward and extended his hand.

“Ah hello, I’m Ross and this is Iren, we’re Outsiders from the city.” Ross said laughing a bit as the shark approached him, he was massively tall and Ross felt over taken as he approached. He had a necklace on his neck and was wearing some sort of armored longcoat and shorts.

“Ah good we were expecting someone like you to show up, Head Brother Ignatius is a bit busy but I’ll see if you can speak with him, if not you’ll have to speak with our Earth representative.” Basil said as he turned around and connected with an earpiece. “Yeah two of them, they would like to speak to Marshmallow and Carmel, also can we talk about names later.”

Iren looked nervous, she wasn’t saying anything and that was the worse; when Iren didn’t speak Ross needed to take cover or cover should have been found because within five minutes it would be more than needed in order to stay alive, luckily he was all the armor he needed.

“So Basil, are you all from the same universes are you from different universes and what do you mean by different universes as well?” Ross said, information here would be king and the more they had over the military the more likely that nothing stupid would happen.

“Well that’s interesting, we all come from different universes but some universes are more likely to produce more warriors, like the one universe that was constantly on fire. That one was amazing to go to, however my universe well in that one, Tau Ceti, a star in your sky is main life.” Basil said as he stayed to the side, tents were set up and people had goods that they were selling.

“Interesting, and in how many universes is Tau Ceti the main stair over our good old sun?” Ross said as he looked back at Iren, she looked mad and she was eyeing everyone and everyone looked back at her confused. They walked forward, seeming walking towards the largest tent with a flag pole raised to the top.

“Not many, it always seems to be Earth but in my universe well we had Kingdoms, three kingdoms on two planets reigned in my day; Terraona Alpha had Terra Nova and USC and Terraona Prime had the Terraona Prime Empire, but now a King reigns over that land, I wonder how long it has been for him.” Basil said as they arrived at the large tent. Passing through, Basil raised the flap as they passed through and again through another perception filter.

It wasn’t a tent but instead now it looked like a multi floored building, in the middle a little fountain and more vendors. Over that three lofts with their own floors and rooms. Iren looked around seemingly confused, at how the tent could have this entire inside space.

“More like deception filter, but basically we do want you think we are more nomadic then we think, if you would mind not telling the other people in your city about this?” Basil asked as he showed them around, Ross looked around the rotunda.

“Ah sure, I won’t tell a soul, neither will Iren.” Ross said as he looked around, and then suddenly Basil’s earpiece lit up and he clicked at it again. Basil started to speaking with them, but Ross didn’t want to interrupt them nor ease drop upon the conversation.

Looking around Ross saw the mix that the Riftwalkers seemed to be selling, it didn’t seem like they had much of a standardized army, instead everyone had their own weapons and own armor. That could be strength and weakness at the same time.

“Ok, you guys; I’m sorry but with this move to the new universe and setting up new logistics, well Head Brother Ignatius is too busy right now, but instead we have some as boring, we are sorry but if I could doing anything I would.” Basil said, Ross seemed to feel that he was being sincere and could only go with what he was doing.

Instead of traveling up the building, they turned towards a tiny room and Basil walked them into a tiny room. Iren sat down and turned the chair around, sitting backwards towards the table.

“Uhh, thank you for your time and have a good day, and don’t worry they have translators as well.” Basil said as he shut the door, he clicked a few buttons and a layer of metal was lowered of the door. “Ok you two can down now and watch out you have a live one.”

“So Iren what are you thinking?” Ross said, he was playing a dangerous game, throwing around a dangerous bomb and trying to make sure that it wasn’t going to go off unexpectantly. Iren had that look on her face and she looked like she was going to protect the flock.

“I don’t like them, they’re a danger to themselves and a danger us, I will make sure that they leave this planet and do it without hurting anyone, I will make sure that we are protected.” Iren said and Ross realized that he wasn’t playing with a bomb, he was playing with a slow motion explosion, the question was who would be able to get away in time.

“Hello there, I’m Elijah this is Joel and we are your two representatives here on Earth, we know all about hot dogs and haagen daz, and all about your silly fun ways; trust us when we know what this planet is about.”

Walking in to the room was two Rams, a white one with fluffy ears and a shorter one with black fur but massive rolled horns. Ross was taken back as they entered the room and looked at them only hoping he could warn them about the hell they were about to enter.

“Oh really then tell me what happened in 1492?” Iren asked, this was the stupid question phase. Ross internally groaned and only put on a false smile, hoping the two might survive her wrath.

“Columbus sailed the ocean blue.” Elijah said completing the rhyme quickly and with easy ease.

“And in 1776.”

“Declaration of independence, trust us we have lived on Earth for ten hundred thousand years, we know a little thing about what’s happening and what’s going on, we’ve seen them and we’ve walked the distance, we’ve remembered losses and tried to forget, we’ve attempted to spend time being normal, and done our best to try but we are not here to conquer.” Elijah said all while his brother sat normally.

“I’m sorry what are you talking about?” Iren asked, seemingly now confused, her anger defused for that second.

“A hundred thousand years ago we’re sent here to monitor progress and make sure the Kagens didn’t take over this universe.” Elijah said knowing that he had caught Iren in a place and they now had the upper hand in explaining. “You poor sad clods; live for two hundred or so years and then fall over and are forgotten and people move all it’s all quite in procedure.”

“Oh really like you know anything about people, if you were smart you would have probably stayed away from humans, observing at a distance and never interacting. If someone recognized you or someone discovered your powers, imagine what they would do to you and your brother.” Iren said as she smiled, Elijah only laughed at her as if he had heard or talked to himself about that argument before.

“Oh please, I didn’t stay away. Recognize this face, you might know me from Easter Island or maybe you’ll see me in pictures that might be set two thousand years ago from a town called Jerusalem.” Elijah said seemingly boasting himself as he talked to Iren, who only groaned at him. Ross turned his head and wondered if someone could live that long.

“I’ve seen you grow up from tiny little frogs in the ground, and you turned into such nice people. I could go back, I could crush you before you guys even came here and like that you’d be gone, it’s always the same with you guys. Never trusting, never seeing who right until the end.” Elijah said as Ross looked over at Iren, she looked like she was getting angry at them, it was maybe a façade, something to convince them that she wanted to be in control but couldn’t.

“Well then that’s very interesting, but the part we are mostly interested in is that you mentioned some other race, the Kagens, who are they and how are they exactly a threat?” Ross asked, interrupting Iren before she would do something stupid and get them kicked out and never being able to return.

“Ah yes, the Kagens. They seemingly appeared on day, evolved from dimensional people; and they think they can take over hundreds of universes but we are going to put a stop to them. They are war lords and as we push at them more and more the more it seems they are going to burst.” Elijah said as he smiled, pushing his finger against the desk below him and pushing against the metal.

“Ah yes, but what have they done to deserve their reputation that you say they have, why are they war lords what have they done, don’t spare any details if you can mate.” Elijah asked, Joel the black ram smiled at him and Iren glanced over to him. Ross wondered if Iren would one day like the Riftwalkers.

“Yes, they have killed hundreds of our warriors, only explores or scouts, but they have killed every single reason one right in front of us and then told us to get out; they rule horribly and just trying to push them out of this universe is trouble.” Joel said as he joined in, Iren glanced at him and he backed up.

“They are coming, here we are assured of it; if you want to monitor for them than you can look for the same energy signature that we gave off, it will appear in a few hours in advance. We aren’t sure who they will show up with but they have an army ready to fight.” Elijah said as he laughed a bit, Iren backed off and Elijah stood up.

“Now then as for us, you shouldn’t worry about us, we’re going to stay here and anyone who wanders in will be returned, and like that our time is up, we need to get somewhere.” Elijah asked as he stood up and opened the doors, raising the metallic window. Iren smiled a bit.

“What you think it’s over so soon, no we want names and pictures, we want to see who these people are and we want to know who we are looking for; we want to know every single Riftwalker and we want all of it, you are not the higher power here we are the people of Earth and you’re not denying us that.” Iren said as she put out a flash drive and looking at it Elijah laughed a bit. Iren’s face turned into a frown as she seemed to insist on getting that information from him.

“Oh please we’re not giving up so much information that is our just like that, but the Kagens, well they look just like us and we look just like you, but beyond that we don’t know their leaders only their lower members that contacted us, so please do leave.” Elijah said as Iren stood there and kept the flash drive ready to get the information she wanted, no wasn’t on the answering table now.

Ross pulled at her arm, trying to drag her out of the room while they still were on the good side of the Riftwalkers. They didn’t need anything stupid ton happen, this was not a war they could afford to undertake nor one they could survive undertaking without military support.

“Ross stop this, trust us we have a military on our planet and I am willing to swallow my pride and work with them in order to protect the people of this planet and my co-workers, so trust me you two will come and give us the information we want.” Iren said as he frown shifted into a sick smile, Ross walked towards the door hoping that he might be able to convince her as well, it wasn’t working.

“Oh dear, I am well sorry about this.” And then Elijah’s eye started to glow blue and like that a blue outline engulfed Iren as she was knocked to the side and landed outside of the door right on Ross. Ross groaned as Iren was knocked on to her.

The door suddenly closed, and in the darkness all they could see was Elijah’s glowing blue eye. Iren groaned as she stood up, cracking her bonds as she turned towards the door and raised her hand.

“Fine then, if you want to play hard ball, you should have just!” Iren yelled as she fired a blast of energy, and then it disappeared into the door. Iren raised her hand as Ross stood up, sheading layers of metal that he usually left on the floor. Iren fired again and once again her magic disappeared.

“Igneous Exploud!” Iren yelled as a blast of fire left her hands and it exploded against the door. The explosion just fell into the door and it disappeared through, behind them someone giggled.

“First time with a metallic energy lattice, they can absorb energy, magic or as I call it will energy, explosions, electricity and just nearly anything that will attempt to deform it.” Basil said as he appeared behind them, in his hand a black sword that seemed to detach from his other massive sword.

“Oh sorry, this is the Fusion sword, as I hone my powers, she hones hers. And then my guns Soulbearer and Bodybearer, infinite ammo, a creation of my own universe and it feels good to meet someone new like you guys, the last two hundred and twenty years of my life have been a drag with them.” Basil said seemingly excited.

“Ah yeah, I can made metal on my body.” Ross said as he reached down and grabbed his old husk. He promptly found himself struggling with the metal that he once wore. Iren reached down and found herself barely able to lift it off the ground.

“Oh here let me get that and we can leave easily. Warpstrike!” Basil suddenly threw his sword, the tip glowing and his hand glowing as he grabbed the metallic husk and Ross’s hand. Ross grabbed Iren and in that second they were outside again, right next to his car.

“Ah, I’m not sure but I might be sick.” Ross said as he wobbled and leaned against the midsize. Iren looked around, her anger melted into surprise. Basil only had the sword in his hand, where it seemingly stuck the sand and placed the husk of metal in the car.

“Now then let’s get you back to your city, save you some gas. I’ve been practicing this one all day.” Basil yelled as he threw the sword again. As his hand glowed, he grabbed onto Ross again and Iren by his connection and then, he placed his hand on the car. The sword disappeared into the distance and they waited for a few seconds.

And then they hit, with a surprise they suddenly were on the road that led out of Carson City. Iren looked surprised and Basil threw the sword back as he waved goodbye, he disappeared and Iren realized they might have been dealing with a bigger threat than even she thought.

“So then crashing towards the ocean, grasping up and running out of air, not exactly how I imagined this day would begin or end really.” Isaac said as he took a breath of air, Finn tried to hold onto the craft as the atmosphere engulfed them in its normally friendly grip but now it was their death bringer. Finn looked at the shield, it was weakening but they needed it to last long enough to get them to the lower atmosphere.

“Finn, I’m sorry I just wanted to apologize for being a dick yesterday, I really do love you.” Isaac closed his eyes and Finn knew that he had to do something; he had to save Isaac he wouldn’t let that happen. Standing up, he forced himself to stay stable and he started to walk.

He looked at the plug that connected to the solar panels, they still weren’t knocked off and if he could get to them in enough time then he might be able to figure out a way. Putting himself into boosted mode then he could figure out something; that was what he would tell himself until he did save him and Isaac.

“Just need to get to the plug, a problem in itself.” Finn stood up and looked around him, looking forward, he just needed to push himself and it was just a matter of force. Putting his feet against the tree, he launched himself into the air and Finn rumbled around for a few seconds as he enjoyed his last few minutes of weightlessness.

Smacking against the glass window; Finn groaned as he pushed himself down towards the ground. Clenching at the ground he imbedded his fingers into the artificial turf. He pushed at the ground and crawled forward, extending out his elbow he reached for the red plug and tried to grab it.

And then as the spaceship started to tumble, he got a grip. HE felt the solar panels being hit by protons, he felt the tiny force they extorted and he felt the energy that they converted into electricity. And then he summoned it, completing the circuit inside his body he summoned all the electricity that it would output and gathered it into his body.

Electricity snapped between him body and even as he was knocked around in a tizzy by the space craft rumbling, he transferred some electricity to the shield and let go. The solar panels ripped off and started their own journey towards the ground.

And then using tiny bursts like electricity on the edges, he pushed himself toward Isaac and into the main hull of the craft. Closing it he hoped to lock in as much air as they could.

“Ok, Finn systems are failing and even essential systems have been sacrificed, this thing is falling into the ocean and you have no idea what to do, ask yourself the dangerous question, What Would Isaac Do?” Finn closed his eyes and put himself into the shoes of Isaac, had he not drained all his powers. Instead he put himself right where he was, standing in front of a control panel blasting at him all sorts of shades of red at him.

“All my eggs go into the best looking basket.” Finn said as he looked down at the control panel, leaning down he looked at the system and opened the cabinet underneath. He saw wires hanging and a single override switch, if he could supply the power to that then maybe he could get one system working again.

“Well then Isaac if I had to say, the best looking basket in this case is going to stability controls!” Finn ripped the wire from the mainframe instead connected it into the override switch, clipping it as he made sure that it would stay in, and flipping the switch.

All of lights that remained on turned off and they were treated to darkness and nothingness as for a second everything stood still and the only constant was the 9.8 meters per seconds squared they were being pulled into the Earth at. And then a single light glowed as suddenly the spinning and tumbling stopped, they were standing straight up. And then that single panel lit up, the stability controls activated.

The most powerful boosters were below him, how to best lift the spacecraft back up into orbit. And then Finn quickly planned a plan and entered it into the coding system, he smiled and pushed himself away towards the center of the room.

Grabbing Isaac, he smiled as they floated around the heat of re-entry was searing the space craft but they were no longer tumbling but they were sure as well putting on a show. Grabbing onto the airlock, Finn held himself tight and Isaac even tighter as he waited.

He could feel the boosters below them pushing back at gravity, but they would fail in the end, they didn’t have enough energy in them to cancel out the entire speed, but it was a start. Isaac woke up as electricity sparked on his body. Isaac woke up to a glowing Finn standing in front of him.

“Did you do it, are we dead yet?” Isaac asked as he looked around and saw the flames outside the window. The glass was melting and not even Richard Branson’s best equipment could save the craft from falling apart. Finn smiled and held on to Isaac instead as he waited, the look outside was blue and they were back into the atmosphere.

“Not yet, but I think we can do it, you’ll just have to trust me.” Finn said as he leaned in and kissed Isaac. The two mixed tongues as suddenly the two side thrusters activated, and the ship flipped upside down. Finn pulled away and clicked the hatch. He let go and instantly they flew up through the tube and up into the air.

Finn quickly looked around; he could see the satellite below and the Californian coastline, all of it to his east. And below them was the Pacific Ocean or as it would be known their landing pad. The air wanted to knock him around, he grabbed onto Isaac and didn’t let him go.

“It won’t end like this, not like this just more time. Give me just some more time with him.” And like that Finn’s grand plan formed and the shark gained a grin on his face. Finn smiled with determination as he fell through the air surely passing thirty thousand feet, and even as gravity pulled him towards the Earth, with all his might and electricity Finn pushed back.

He formed a massive magnetic wave, one that pushed against the satellite and all the metals in the Earth and even the metal in Isaac’s leg. Isaac went back under and Finn knew this was his only way to save the one he loved. Closing his eyes, he pushed against every single metal and thusly also against gravity and his speed, and as he plummeted through the air he could only hope his plan worked, he didn’t want to see end results.

And as he felt his body knocked around, he waited and waited and pushed and pushed, forming a massively inefficient magnetic field and hoped that he could slow down. And as he felt the air thicken and it warm up, he felt water and with that he opened his eyes and he was floating above the ocean, his toes dipping in.

“We did it.”

Finn took a breath of fresh air and laughed as he used the rest of his electricity and landed in the ocean with a splash. Dipping under water, he felt his gills work and breath for him. And then he saw Isaac wake up. Isaac nearly dipped under but Finn grabbed him.

“Hey, we did it but I can float, but you did and you stopped us from falling, and I am amazed by you and I love you.” Isaac said as he rambled off, Finn quickly grabbed him and turned on his back. Laughing as Isaac leaned on top of him, Finn kept them both floating as they started to kiss.

“So how will people find us?” Finn asked as he realized they were stuck in the ocean literally without a paddle. Looking around neither shark could see any land around them but Isaac didn’t worry. “What do you have some sort of new superpower you’ve been waiting to tell me about?”

“No, but the magnetic wave you created, surely would have spread out on California, temporally turning off peoples phones and such and when people’s latte machines go out they want answers quick. If the military were to measure and compare with Hawaii and then use an ultra-scanner they find us in about an hour.” Isaac said laughing as he floated on Finn, hugging him, neither of them really had to worry about freezing, or falling both being sharks.

“Well then I think the question we have to ask ourselves right now is how much do we want to be found naked?” Finn asked smiling as he grabbed Isaac and started to kiss him.
