Dragoune suddenly got up, grabbed a sword and unsheathed it fully. He looked around the room but saw no one except Saneira who was awoken because she was on top of him. She looked at the window and found that the sun was just coming up. Sensing some worry from Dragoune she asked.

"What's wrong Dragoune?"

"N-nothing is wrong j-just a bad dream." Dragoune said but in truth he felt in a way that today was the day that his vision will come true and in another way it did not.

'What's going on I feel that something is going to go terribly wrong but then I feel that everything will be all right.' He thought and Saneira sensing his confusion asked.

"Are you sure nothings wrong?" Dragoune nodded and rubbed his muzzle against hers to reassure her.

"Everything is fine since I have you around with me." He said just as they were just getting into the mood of staying there kissing and nuzzling each other when Rovino came bursting into the door.

"We may have a problem." He said his eyes bulging. They went to the north gate look out where they were meant with Magnerous and Volaxone. Magnerous had a hunted kind look to him but he also was staring at the northeast with hatred and revenge.

"Magnerous is everything okay." Saneira asked Magnerous looked at her and yelled.

"NO EVERYTHING IS NOT OKAY MY MATE HAS DIED BECAUSE OF THE KING!!!!"

"Calm down Magnerous we have more pressing matters to deal with." Volaxone said, that's when Dragoune saw a huge army coming from that same direction only a few miles away.

"That there is the king's army almost two times the size of ours." Volaxone said

"What we are going to do we can not fight that amount of troops even with all the fliers on our side and Braxcon has lost a lot of his bats." Rovino said

"Rovino ever heard the phrase 'the best attack is a good defense' if we stay in the city and allow them to come in through the gates their numbers will be cut short." Saneira said

"That's right and since we have all of the fliers they will not be able to bring more in." Rovino said

"I will not be to sure of that look over there." Dragoune said getting ready to fight. He pointed to the sky where there were a good sized group of gryphons coming in the same way as the army.

"Hold your fire let us see what they do." Volaxone said every one did but they were ready to fight if anything should go wrong. The gryphons stopped at a spot and one gryphon came to where Dragoune and the others were. He landed and bowed down to Magnerous.

"I am very sorry for your loss and my gryphons and I will do all we can to the one gryphon who killed Jerasinia." The gryphon said. Magnerous was quite for a while not really looking at the gryphon who was bowed down before him.

"Do as you wish" Magnerous said and then left. The gryphon made a hand sign which meant to land Dragoune thought because all of the gryphons where landing. When they did and spotted Dragoune they showed how much they detested him.

"I guess you are very popular." said Saneira with a smile Dragoune only grunted.

"There is not much to do except get ready and wait, Dragoune can you fly yet?" Rovino said

"No." said Dragoune

"Oh well not much of a loss, I will call you when the time for battle is upon us." Rovino said and he to left.

"We will go too, Volaxone you can handle watching the army all by yourself right?" Dragoune said with a laugh.

"Yeah I can." Volaxone said, Dragoune and Saneira left as well. While they were going back Dragoune was trying to compare anything with this city with the city in his vision, but with no such luck. He was a bit relieved that this was not the place but where it will be and why does he feel like something will happen.

"I know something is up Dragoune and I want an answer now." Saneira said concernedly.

"Okay I thought that today was the day of the vision, but it can't be, because this is not the right place. With that said though I do feel like something will happen." Dragoune said and with that he pulled Saneira closer to him.

It was the beginning of the afternoon when the king's army reached the north gate.

"By the orders of the king I order you to open these doors and surrender." Someone said within the army

'That's Baxon I know that voice from anywhere.' Volaxone said to himself he grabbed the bell pull and rang the bell indicating that the army is here. Dragoune and Saneira had the north gate Rovino had the east gate while Magnerous controlled the skies and west gate. Volaxone had told them to split forces like that because he was sure that Baxon would attack as many sides he could. It was good to have Magnerous up in the air because he could see if the Vordran was winning or losing a side and can send gryphons to help.

Dragoune was very glad to fight along side Saneira finally because he forgot how deadly she can be in a beautiful short of way. Before the battle he and Saneira practice new moves, one of which they were doing right now with eight guards. Saneira ran, stop for a few a seconds and start running again to make it look like there were more of her. She then used the confusion to take out three guards, while this was happening Dragoune slips into the middle of the five using his speed. He then takes his three swords and stabs three others in the back. He felt regret because he was not brought up to attack from behind but he can never forgive his father and that is who he saw in the guards faces. Dragoune and Saneira both jump back spitting fire at the other two and then going back into battle.

An hour had past and a lot more of the Vordran came towards the north gate.

'Either they are not coming or they already defeated the army on their gates, but I am glad that we are getting more help because they just coming through here.' Dragoune thought to himself he looked at Saneira she was not badly hurt but her speed was taking it's toll on her.

"Saneira slow down you need your strength for a later time." Dragoune said and that's when he noticed a guard coming right behind her. Dragoune threw his sword at the guard and struck him in the head. Saneira looked behind and saw the dead guard.

"Looks like I owe you one." Saneira said Dragoune was going to remind her that she didn't owe him one when she too noticed that a guard was doing the same thing like the other one. She took her sword and ran straight for him stabbing him in the chest. That's when she heard a pained roar from Dragoune. She took out her sword and saw that it went through Dragounes wing but it was folded when she started running.

"W-why did you p-put out your wing in front of m-my blade?" Saneira said almost to tears.

"Because he would seen it coming and moved to the side." Dragoune said after that incident they went back on fighting. Dragoune spotted Rovino and called out

"Why are all you guys out here shouldn't you be at your station." While saying this he cut two guards down. Rovino had one's neck in his jaws he spit him out and said.

"You are quite right but for at least an half hour no one was coming that is when a messenger gryphon was sent to us to come here." He then jumped and then used one of his big sharp talons to cut a guards neck.

Another hour and a half still went by and more and more was coming. A gryphon told them that he saw about two miles worth of guards.

'How did the king to get all these furries and scallies on his side. He probably pride them and they refused he threatened them.' Dragoune thought and that's what made him break. He could not hold his anger longer, of all the things his dad and Graxeon did he could not control his anger. His pupils became very thin lines and his eyes became red. He blew fire ten times than he normally did and then went on a rampage killing a lot of guards in mere seconds. Saneira saw this and quickly went to his side trying to calm him down, knowing that he will soon be out of control.

"Dragoune calm down you must calm down." Saneira said hearing her voice Dragoune did calm down but his eyes stayed as they were.

"Thanks Saneira." Dragoune said, after a while Volaxone came up to Dragoune looked at him and said.

"What happened to your eyes?" Volaxone said before Dragoune could answer Volaxone threw a small dagger at a on coming guard, he usually quite a few in these big battles.

"Long story, in which I will have to tell you later." Dragoune said ending it with a fire ball at another guard.

"Anyway the reason why I came here is that a lot of these guards do not want to fight, so when we kill Baxon they will start running away." Just as Volaxone said this at least half the guards were attacking their own side.

"What is this some sort of trap?" Saneira said

"No Baxon was killed and the guards who were threaten to come here are attacking their true enemy." Rovino said Dragoune looked at Saneira and said

"The battle is over." Just as he said this he noticed a archer aiming right towards her. Having no time to think Dragoune turned her around and putting his wings around her protectively. That's when he felt a sharp pain and his back.

"NOOOOOO!!!!" Saneira cried she held him in her arms. Dragoune was in so much pain that he could not bear it he looked at Saneira and smiled glad that she was not hurt before he closed his eyes and went unconscious.
