#2 of My Friend Demi

It was a hot morning and the sun shone brightly through the tiny cracks of the blinds on the window. Demi slept comfortably on his bed as a small portable fan blew a cool breeze in his direction. He dreamt peacefully hugging the single sheet cover to his body, undisturbed. That is until the sound of someone banging on his bedroom door woke him up with a slight fright. He gasped a bit at the loud thumping sound waking him before sitting up in his bed. "Hmm!" He managed to mumble out loudly rubbing his eyes, not really able to speak a clear sentence at the moment.

"It's 7:25 you should be up already! Is your alarm clock broken boy?" He heard his father yell through the door. "If you're late to school again you're going to get it! And why do you lock you door anyway?"

He heard his father walking off after that. He rolled his eyes and yawned loudly before getting out of bed. He scratched his footpaws against the carpet for a moment, the pads on the bottom of his feet always getting itchy at the first contact of the shaggy carpet. Dressed in only his boxers he groaned and looked at his clock, it read 7:28. He forgot to activate his alarm clock the night before, it was Monday and he usually deactivated it during the weekends. This happened plenty of times before, which is why his father sounded so annoyed. The fourteen year old red panda went to he closet and chose something to wear. He tossed his clothes on the bed and scratched his claws along his chest and stomach. He had the typical markings of a red panda, except the red in his fur was unusual. It was two toned, the top half of his body was covered in darker red fur which grew lighter from his waist down. His body was average, he had some fat here and there. Sometimes other furs would call him fat, but he was in no means over weight. He just had a little padding, it was really his fluffy fur that made him look bigger than he actually was. Demi was happy with himself though, he was just as cute as any twig or muscled up jock. He quickly got dressed, knowing he had no time for a shower, and gathered his things. Exiting his room his placed his stuff in the living room and padded to the bathroom. After closing and locking the door he went to the sink and took out his toothbrush and squeezed some toothpaste onto the bristles. As he brushed his teeth he looked at his messy hair and decided he'd better comb it. Finishing with his teeth he took the brush to his dark brown hair, which practically looked black. Taming his hair took a while, but he finally got it the way he wanted it. Scanning himself once more quickly with his light brown eyes he was content on his appearance and left the bathroom. He heard his dad rustling in the kitchen seeming to be in a hurry. He must have forgotten to activate his alarm too, besides it was his dad who gave Demi the advice on turning off the alarm clock on the weekends. Demi grabbed his shoes and looked inside them. With a sigh and grunt he called for his mother. "Mom I need socks!"

His mother came from the kitchen with a cup of coffee in her paws. "Don't you have any in your room?" She asked, her Russian accent not as thick as it used to be.

"No they're all dirty, I told you that when I threw them all in the hamper on Saturday. I had some in my shoes, but you must have taken those so I presume you washed them?" Demi held up his shoes to show how they were void of rolled up socks. His mother had to think about it for a moment before going into the laundry room eventually coming out with a few.

"Demitri, they are still wet, I didn't get a chance to dry them yet. Do you mind a wet sock? It is hot outside, maybe it will keep you feet cool?" His mother said trying to make the best out of the situation. Demi sighed and shook his head tossing his shoes back on the floor.

"Yeah not to mention make them smell too. I'll just wear my sandals." With that Demi slid on his flip flops and grabbed his things. His mother said sorry in Russian and disappeared back into the kitchen. Wearing flip flops was against the schools dress code for some reason, but it's not like anyone ever bothered to notice what he was wearing anyway.

"Dad I'm going to need a ride to school, can you give me one on your way to work? I can walk, but then I'll be late. You don't want that do you?" Demi joshed, really not feeling like walking to school today.

"Here start the car for me then!" His dad replied from the kitchen tossing the keys to Demi. He caught them and left out the front door, but not without saying goodbye to his mother of course.

Soon enough Demi was at school and he made his way through the crowd like always. He wondered if D'arcy was going to be waiting for him in the quad since they decided to not hide their relationship anymore. In the quad area he looked around a bit and spotted her waving to him, calling him over. He smiled and walked over to her quickly. She met him halfway and they hugged each other and kissed.

"So how does it feel to kiss me in public?" D'arcy asked with a heartfelt smile.

"Mmm it's great." Demi smiled giving her lips a peck once more.

They both smiled happily and held onto each other walking to their first period class. During there casual walk to class it was the first time Demi felt many eyes on him. He noticed the curious expression of many furs, even if he wasn't popular he was certainly pathetic enough to be noticed as the school loner. Why else would people seem so surprised that they were a couple. A complete stranger could have been in her arms and they wouldn't be reacting in this way. They knew who he was though and for the first time Demi felt uncomfortable. Somewhat realizing that his peers have always known who he was, even though he always felt ignored. He tried his best to ignore it though, he wasn't about to let all the staring ruin his time with D'arcy. It was like that the whole day, but other than stares and whispers nothing really happened. Demi had to sit through his last two classes without D'arcy, luckily they did manage to get the first four together. He tapped his pencil against his desk and stared at the clock. Only two minutes until school was out. They seemed to last forever, but the bell finally rang and the students gathered there things and began shuffling out of the classroom. He usually waited until the crowd of students by the door died down before leaving himself. When it did Demi got out of his seat and walked out of the classroom. He headed toward the stairs to get back to ground level and as he did a fur came up next to him. Demi looked to the stranger next to him and the stranger looked back. The large wolf made him feel timid, but he tried to ignore him the best he could. The wolf wore one of those standard jock looking jackets indicating his position on the football team.

"So I hear you're going out with D'arcy. How long has it been?" The jock asked, a look of skepticism on his face. He couldn't believe that she'd be going out with someone like this loser. Demi sighed wondering if he should answer the wolf or not. The jock certainly wasn't going away without an answer it seemed.

"Not like it is any of your business, but we've been dating close to a year now. We tried to keep it under the radar, but we decided to be more open about it." Demi looked at the wolf with a small smile on his face.

"Jealous?"

The wolf growled and stepped in front of the smaller fur. "Listen you little shit, I'd never be jealous of someone like you. I went out with that skank a year ago, and after dumping her I never thought she go on the rebound so quickly. Especially not with a fucking loser like you. Though what do expect from a whore? Did you fuck her yet? She isn't a virgin let me tell you, I sure had a fun time making her squeal under me. Yeah I popped that bitches cherry alright. Better I took it from her instead of a little prick like you. You got damaged goods now."

Demi snarled at the wolf's words and without thinking let his fist fly and slammed it against the wolf's muzzle hard. He fist ached after the impact, but he was surprised to see that bastard fall to the ground. The jock certainly was surprised as well getting up from the ground as he wiped the blood off his lips. A crowd of spectators circled them quickly, though the two weren't aware of it. They kept their focus on each other. The wolf tossed his bag to the side and took off his jacket looking rather pissed.

"You want to fight asshole? Come on then, try and hit me again!" The wolf exclaimed lifting his fists and getting into his fighting stance. Demi breathed hard, he was no match for the wolf and he knew it. He watched the angry wolf in front of him bouncing around on his feet like a professional boxer. Now noticing the large group of furs gathered around them, most of them cheering the fight on. He really had no choice to try and defend himself now really regretting slugging the jock in the first place. Throwing his backpack aside he lifted his fists awkwardly getting a laugh out of the wolf.

"Come on big guy try and hit me again, let's see what you're really made of." The wolf taunted at the seemingly frightened red panda. Demi tried his best as he swung at his opponent again only to have his fist dodged. This guy obviously took boxing classes as he dodged the swings with no effort at all. Demi took another swing, this one almost hit. The wolf felt the balled up paw brush against his cheek and decided it was time to teach this loser a lesson. While Demi pulled back from his previous swing the bully swung his fist skillfully through the air. It seemed to go in slow motion to those watching, but Demi really never saw it coming. BAM, it made contact on the red panda's right eye sending him to the ground immediately. The wolf laughed as he heard the yelp of pain coming out of his victims muzzle just before falling to the ground. He was about to go in for a kick, but by now the security guards had finally arrived and broke up the fight. The wolf yelled some obscenities as he was taken away, the crowd of furs now dispersing. Another security guard, a large tiger, helped Demi up and held his upper left arm escorting him to the office. He groaned and tried to touch his swollen eye, but the security guard stopped him from doing so.

"It was foolish of you to try and fight with him you know." The large tiger said looking down at the poor boy. Demi just huffed and stayed silent trying not to whimper from the pain.

"Oh my god! Demi are you ok, what happened?" He heard D'arcy call out as she ran over to him. She frowned as she looked at his eye brushing her fingers gently beneath it. "Who did this to you?"

Demi was about to speak before the security guard spoke up before him.

"You can talk with your friend after his trip to the office, this is a serious offence." His eyes again gazing down to Demi, giving him a scolding look. "Fighting on school grounds is not tolerated."

D'arcy looked shocked, she couldn't believe he had gotten into a fight.

"I'll explain everything to you later, wait for my call tonight alright." Demi said to her before being taken into the office. She nodded and watched him disappear into the building.

Demi sat in the back seat of his parents car as they drove home. His father's face was red, noticeable through the lighter parts of his fur, the whole car ride home. Demi was sure if it was possible steam would be coming out of his ears. His mother was upset too, but she looked more worried than angry. He remained quiet for the time being holding the ice pack to his eye still, knowing he'd be getting a talking to once they were inside the house. Eventually they made it home and Demi was ordered to the living room where he sat on the sofa. His mother took a seat on the recliner next to the sofa while his father paced around crossly.

"I'm shocked! Not just for the fact that you got in a fight, but you started it! I would be more understanding if you didn't start it and were only trying to defend yourself. What were you thinking?" His dad fumed, trying to grasp the fact that his son did such a thing. He always thought Demi was a well rounded, conscientious and respectable boy.

Demi frowned and removed the ice pack from his eye momentarily. "Dad I wasn't thinking, I didn't even realize I slugged the jerk until he hit the ground. He just made me angry."

"What did this boy say to you Demitri? What made you want to hit him?" His mother asked, sounding very disappointed in her son. Demi sensed her disappointment and flattened his ears to his head. He didn't really know who to answer that. Eyes looking downward he lifted the ice pack back onto his right eye and sighed. He never told his parents he had a girlfriend, at least not yet. He and D'arcy would always meet at her house in secret, since her parents usually gave her more privacy than his did. Not to mention it was an easy feat to climb into her bedroom window. His window had security bars over it, all the windows had them. His mother felt they were necessary in keeping the family safe.

"So you don't have an answer for me?" Demi's mother inquired, getting back his attention. Demi frowned and shook his head, he wanted to tell them about her, but not like this.

"I want you in your room. I'll be in there with the belt shortly." He heard his dad say softly, yet the anger was still in his voice. Demi's eyes widened, at least his left one did, and he whined in surprise. He hadn't been spanked since he was eleven.

"Maynard?" The mother spoke, she was surprised by this decision too.

"But...dad..." Was all Demi could stutter out at the moment, his heart beating fast.

"I've made up my mind. Now go before I get even angrier!" His father ordered pointing in the direction of his son's room. Demi whimpered and looked at his mom for some support, but she frowned and nodded her head in agreement with her husbands decision. With a heavy frown he slowly got up and made his way into his room. Maynard sighed and rubbed the back of his head, his wife soon next to him.

"Do you really need to punish him like this?" She asked, not wanting her son to get hurt again today.

"I'm sorry Mila, but he has to be held responsible for his actions. I'm sure he'll think twice before ever starting a fight again." He replied to her softly kissing her forehead and hugged her shortly.

Demi sat on his bed and sulked. He couldn't believe he was about to get another beating today. A mild blush swept across his face because of his impending punishment too. It made him feel like a child being chastised like this. He kept his gaze on the ground when he heard his door open, shivering a bit at the sound of the belt buckle clanking about.

"I know it's been a while, but you know how you should be." His father spoke solemnly. Demi looked up at his father with sorrow in his eyes, hoping by some chance his sad look would deter his father from going on with his punishment. That wasn't the case though and he had to do as he was told. He placed the ice pack on his desk and turned to his bed. He sighed and undid his pants and slowly slid them down to his knees before bending over the side of his bed.

"Come on now, your boxers too." Maynard said with slight annoyance. Demi's heart sunk and he blushed heavily knowing he had to do so. He had hoped his father would have let him keep his underwear on so he could hold onto some of his dignity. With a sigh and soft whimper he slid his boxers down to were his pants rested revealing his round backside to his father. Bending down once again he moved his tail out of the way, he always hated when his dad had to hold it up when he was little. At least he didn't have to go over his lap anymore. He expected his dad to lecture him about the events that led to this, but he didn't. Demi looked at his bed sheets for a moment wondering when he'd feel that familiar sting across his rear once again. With a gulp and he looked over to his father to see what was taking him, but as he did he felt it. It caught him off guard as he heard the slap against his buttocks and felt the painful sting associated with it. He cried out, mainly in surprise, at the first swat of the belt gripping his bed sheets already. It was barely the first one and he already wanted it to stop. The second and third landed smack down on his rear quickly and he grit his teeth keeping his cries suppressed. It wasn't until maybe the ninth or tenth strike that made Demi cry out once more, louder than he did on the first stroke. His father kept the belt swinging back down onto his son's reddening backside inciting more cries from the boy.

"Papa please I'm sorry!" Demi blubbered, tears beginning to fall from his eyes. Demi shifted his footpaws a bit trying to endure the pain of his spanking. Maynard swung the thick leather continuously to his son's bottom. Covering the boy's bottom cheeks and thighs thoroughly in an blitz of spanks. Demi whimpered and bellowed scuffing his footpaws against the carpeted floor. His tears flowing freely now dripping down his muzzle and onto his bed. Letting out another strident cry as he felt the belt lash against his upper thighs harshly, just below his ample seat. Stomping his right foot against the floor not being able to hold in his sobs anymore, crying like a defeated cub.

"No more...papa...it hurts!" The poor red panda sobbed hoping his father would end the spanking soon. Just hearing himself speak through his cries was humiliating. Maynard lowered the belt and rubbed along his son's shoulders. He wasn't done yet though, he knew how much his son could take.

"Go ahead and lie down son." He could see Demi having a hard time keeping his knees straight. Demi collapsed on his bed and cried into his sheets his tail now covering his rear protectively.

"Now I hope this punishment sticks with you son. Now you have a reason to think twice before starting fights with someone. Just because you haven't been spanked in a long time doesn't mean you are to assume you wont get one for certain wrong doings."

Demi whimpered and nodded, his face still buried in his bed. His cries softened as he felt his spanking was finally over. His relief was sort lived however when he felt his father lift his tail. He whined sorrowfully and looked over his shoulder. Again, like it did earlier, he felt the belt smack against his backside as he turned to look at his father. The sudden whack made him clench his eyes and yowl out in hurt. He turned into that eleven year old cub again, bawling on his bed as his father laid the belt on his flaming backside. Kicking his legs at the pain as his claws gripped the bed sheets tightly.

"I don't," SMACK "ever want," SMACK "to hear that you," SMACK "got into a fight again!" SMACK "Do I make myself clear young man?" His father scolded as he continued to correct his disobedient son.

"Yes papa!" Demi managed to choke out between sobs. The poor boy weeping like a errant cub would be during a spanking like this. After hearing his crying boy's response he landed the final spanks to his son's sit spot. Making sure this is a spanking he will not soon forget. Maynard let the belt fall hard, watching how his son's buttocks rippled each time the belt made contact. Although it was hard to notice he could tell that his son's butt was a nice shade of red beneath the fur. Demi wailed into his sheets, squirming in pain on his bed. Kicking his footpaws against the carpeted floor. His pants and boxers crumpled on the floor having been kicked off completely earlier. It took about a minute or so for Demi to finally realize that the spanking had stopped. That didn't mean the pain had stopped however and he kept his muzzle against his bed, to help drown out his dismal cries. His father let go of his tail which immediately went back to covering his hurt backside. Maynard sat down next to his weeping son and stroked this back softly, letting his boy know that it was over now. Demi kept still until his sobs died down to whimpers and sniffles.

"I...I'm sorry papa...I didn't mean to...upset you. I didn't wanna fight...but..." Demi looked up at his father tearfully. Maynard smiled warmly to his son and wiped some of the tears away from Demi's light brown eyes.

"Shh it's ok, you can tell me about it after dinner. We still need to have a little talk ok." His tone was much lighter now and he looked down at his son noticing how cute he looked despite the situation. "Come here buddy." Maynard lifted his son up and gave him a hug, Demi hugging back sniffling on his father's chest. He rocked the boy a little and gave him a kiss on the head making sure Demi knew he still loved him no matter what.

"Why don't you take a nap before dinner ok? I'll come get you when it's time to eat." The older red panda said scratching behind his son's ears. Demi smiled a bit as his father scratched behind his ears and nodded.

It was a few hours later before Maynard knocked softly on his son's bedroom door before opening it slowly. It was evening now and there was hardly any light in Demi's room. Maynard felt his paw around the wall for a moment searching for the light switch. It didn't take him too long to find it and soon flicked on the lights. He saw his son asleep on the bed hugging onto his tail like a child would cling to a teddy bear. Maynard also noticed his son was still nude from the waist down, Demi must have fallen asleep before getting the chance to dress himself again. His son was so modest and the sight of his rump, in normal circumstances, made the fatherly red panda blush. He smiled and chuckled softly, it was a sight he hasn't seen in a while. He padded over to his sleeping son and patted him on the hip. Demi shifted on his bed and whimpered slightly, not wanting to be disturbed in his sleep.

"Demi, dinner is almost ready. You should get up now." Maynard spoke in a loud whisper, shaking his son gently to help wake him. Demi opened his eyes slightly and yawned sitting up groggily. He felt an uncomfortable ache on his butt as he sat up and squirmed. Still half asleep he looked down at his crotch noticing his nakedness. It took him a few seconds to finally snap out of his muzzy state and become alert. With a surprised gasp he threw his tail and paws over his exposed crotch and blushed madly.

"Dad! Some privacy please?" Demi begged extremely embarrassed at his current state. "I...I'll be out in...a bit ok."

"Alright then, go ahead and get dressed son. No need to be so ashamed heh, but I'll give you your privacy." Maynard smiled and nodded, sensing his son's embarrassment and soon exiting the room. Demi sighed and fell back on his bed in humiliation, blushing deeply still. Most teenagers would feel mortified at their parents seeing them naked, trying to hold on to their modesty. Having been spanked earlier with his bottom bared was bad enough, but he shook off his embarrassment and got dressed. Moments later he made his way into the kitchen. His dad was sitting on the table drinking, probably his fifth, cup of coffee reading a book. Maynard was a bit of a coffee, or caffeine, addict, but managed to never over do it. Demi's mother was at the stove preparing dinner. The spicy aroma filled his nostrils and his mouth watered a bit, he loved spicy food. He sniffed and took a seat at the table, getting his mother's attention now. Mila put down the spatula and went over to her son.

"Oh Demitri how are you feeling? You doing ok, do you want a glass of water?" She asked in her motherly tone, holding on to his cheeks and giving him a kiss on the forehead.

"I'm fine mom, dad wasn't all that bad. His swinging arm isn't as strong as it used to be." Demi joked trying to make light of the past events. Maynard looked up from his book with a laugh before giving his son a teasing scolding look.

"I was just a bit rusty. We can go at it again if you want, I am warmed up now. I'll make you squirm in those chairs for the week." Maynard taunted with a smile.

"Maynard, don't be such a bully." Mila replied playfully, bopping her husband on the back of his head lightly. Maynard chuckled and rubbed the back of his head taking another sip from his mug. Demi laughed and unconsciously squirmed in his chair, not ever wanting to be spanked again. Mila blew her son a kiss and went back to her cooking, but not before giving him a large glass of water which he gulped down graciously. Demi sighed and shifted in his seat again trying to get comfortable and rested his head on the table. There was silence for a moment, the only noises in the kitchen were the sizzling sounds of food on the stove. Maynard coughed and put his book down on the table sitting up straight as he did. Demi noticed this and looked up at his father sitting up straight himself. He figured his dad wanted to talk about certain things now. Maynard didn't speak just yet, however he looked as if he were collecting his thoughts in his head. Demi just sat patiently tapping his bare footpaw on the cold tiled floor.

"Ahem, I should ask you why..." Maynard began, but stopped speaking as the door bell rang loudly. Mila shook her head and spoke under her breath in Russian, she always hated how loud and annoying their bell was. Maynard looked puzzled for a moment, a typical look one may give when they aren't expecting company.

"Wonder who that could be." He said getting up from his chair and heading towards the door. Looking through the peep hole and saw a girl he's never seen before standing there patiently. There was a knock on the door just before Maynard answered it leaving the girl knocking on air as the door swung open.

"Oh hi, um I was just wondering....um that is heh." The girl tried speaking but wasn't sure of what to say to the adult standing in front of her.

"You come to my door and ring my bell, yet you don't know exactly why you are here?" Maynard cocked an eye brow looking down at the pretty young female. "Are you trying to sell something? If you are you sure aren't doing a very good job at it. I can give you some helpful suggestions in proper sales conduct for the other homes you may go to in the future."

The girl giggled nervously and shook her head.

"Oh no sir, I am not selling anything. I don't know what's come over me exactly. I don't even know if I have the right address, but it seems like I might. Does Demitri live here by any chance?" She looked nervous and even slightly confused. She had previously gone to the wrong address before coming to the right one. Luckily the folks there were nice and told her where she might find the person she is looking for.

"Yes he does, what do you want with my son?" Maynard asked the seemingly intimidated girl. He could look and sound authoritative when he wanted to. Demi must have heard her voice as he was soon shoving his dad out of the way a bit.

"D'arcy! What are you doing here?" He asked surprised to see her at his house. She sighed in relief as soon as he came into her view.

"Oh thank goodness, I am in the right place this time. I was worried about you Demi, I couldn't wait any longer for you to call me. I had to see you as soon as possible."

"So you two are friends then I see. Well come on in miss, it isn't every day my son brings his friends over." Maynard smiled and allowed the squirrel enter his home.

She thanked him and came in holding onto Demi's arm as soon as she was closer to him.

"I'm sorry D'arcy, I meant to call earlier. Just got held up with things, ya know?" He hugged her and she hugged back sighing in concern.

"I know, that is understandable. I am sure you had some explaining to do with your parents. I just wanted to make sure you were ok How is your eye?."

"It's actually not that bad, no need to worry." Demi mentioned softly, though his eye was still sore.

As the two hugged and spoke with each other Maynard just stood there watching them.

With a light cough he got the two kids attention and they let go of their embrace.

"Oh dad, this is D'arcy. She's a close friend from school." Demi introduced her and the two shook hands.

"Pleasure to finally meet you sir. I am a huge fan of your book! It's one of my favorites, and I am not just saying that." D'arcy smiled as she shook his hand enthusiastically, reaching in her bag for something. "I don't mean to sound forward, but could you sign my copy of your book please? It would mean so much to me."

Maynard smiled widely at the compliment and agreed to sign her book.

"Of course, I'd be glad to sign it for you. Glad to know someone out there besides family and friends have read my good ol' book." He took her book and reached in his pocket where he conveniently had a permanent marker to sign it with.

They continued to talk about for a few minutes and Demi was glad that they were getting along nicely.

"Listen, I am sure you would like to talk with Demi about today, however I'd like to hear from him first. You are welcome to stay for dinner if you'd like, we can discuss the situation all together then. If you are as close a friend as my son says than I wouldn't mind you joining our family dinner and meeting." Maynard went back to his authoritative, fatherly, tone looking at her and Demi waiting for a response.

Demi looked at D'arcy who was quick to politely accept his father's offer.

"Great, then we'd could get to know you more. If you'd follow me into the kitchen I'll introduce you to my wife." Maynard said leading the way into the kitchen.

After another introduction the group sat down to dinner and discussed things other than what was intended to be discussed during their meal.

"That was delicious Mrs. Chamberlin! It's rare that I get to eat some real food, my parent's are such health freaks. Sometimes the food they make us eat can taste so bland and dull." D'arcy complimented, wiping down her muzzle after cleaning her plate.

"Thank you dear, I am glad you enjoyed it. I am sure your parent's feed you what they feel is best for you. I should probably put my boys on a healthy diet, it would do them some good." Mila smiled and looked at her husband and son, noticing there dissatisfactory expressions upon hearing the word diet. D'arcy giggled and took a sip of her drink.

"So D'arcy how did you come to be friends with Demi?" Maynard asked as he too finished his plate.

She looked over at Demi and smiled placing a paw on his.

"We met about a year ago, we sat next to each other in math class. He didn't talk much, but I found him to be sweet anyway. I wish I had taken the effort to talk to him earlier in the year, he became such a good friend after I finally did. So yeah, we just started talking to each other during class and sometimes at lunch in the school library. Things just took off from there."

Maynard nodded and looked over to his son, "How come you never told us about her? I know you haven't really talked much, or even at all, about your friends at school, but you seem to like her."

Demi smiled coyly and squirmed in his seat. He knew D'arcy knew the answer to that, but he still needed to inform his parents about his life at school.

"Well, to be honest I don't really have any friends at school anymore. With the exception of her of course, I guess you could say I am kind of a loner." Demi spoke softly, his ears folded back in shame. At home it didn't seem like he would be the type to be a loner at school, but things are different when it comes to actually being at school. He didn't want to have to tell his parents that he was a loser.

"Hmm, is that so? I never would have guessed, how come you didn't saying something about it before?" His dad asked, concern was in his voice.

"What could I say? Mom, Dad I am a loser at school and I have no friends. That isn't something that I want to really bring up. Although it can get lonely, I do get by and it's not like I am depressed about it or anything."

"We understand that Demitri, but we don't want you to be alone. Sure you have us, but you need friends your age to associate with. You shouldn't be cooped up in this house all the time." Mila replied saddened to hear what situation her son was in at school. "Is that why you got into a fight? Cause that boy was teasing you about it?"

Demi's ears perked up and he shook his head. "No mom, that isn't the reason."

"We can discuss the reason shortly. Though what I am wondering now is where you've been going exactly when you tell us you are going out to hang with friends." Demi's father asked, sounding a bit upset.

D'arcy looked at Demi with a slight look of shock on her face. "What happened to your library excuse?"

Demi kept his eyes on his father's grimace and gulped, Maynard did not like being lied to.

"The library excuse was getting old and worn out heh. Well you see dad...I've been...that is to say...I have been going out to see a friend."

"Care to explain?" Maynard responded crossing his arms.

"If I may Mr. Chamberlin, he's been coming to my house. You see we've been dating for quite some time now." There she said it, better to get it over with as soon as possible. Demi exhaled and waited for his parents to say something. He figured they wouldn't be upset that he was dating, but keeping it a secret from them for so long. He could certainly tell that they were shocked at the sudden news, but they didn't look angry.

"Why didn't you tell us you had a girlfriend?" Mila was the first to ask.

"We've been keeping it under the radar for a while now. You see because I am considered a loser at school, it is bound to cause some trouble if someone like me were to date someone like her. It's almost like, to them anyway, that I am not worthy of being friends with her. Dating her is taboo to say in the least. So we kept it a secret for both our sakes. It was my idea though, I was trying to protect her more than myself." Demi did his best to explain why he never told his parent's, but his father didn't look convinced.

"Demi we aren't kids at your school. Is there another reason you've been keeping it from us? Are you two sexually active?"

D'arcy held back a squeak as she heard Maynard's question and blushed with surprise.

"Dad! No, we haven't done anything like that!" Demi blurted out in embarrassment. He looked down at the table and blushed heavily, the thought of being asked such a thing with her in his presence made his stomach churn. They have made out plenty of times, but he always held back when it came to sex for the time being.

Mila sighed and shook her head at her husband, surprised herself that he'd ask such a thing. "Well I think it is sweet that you two are a couple. Though I do wish you would have told us Demitri. I don't like you to keep secrets from us, it damages trust."

Demi frowned and nodded. "I'm sorry mom, I didn't mean to hurt you two. I know I probably should have told you in the first place."

"Yes you should have, but it's ok there is no real harm done. I'll let you pass with that secret, but please try not to keep anything like such from us again. We are you're parents, we'll be understanding even if we do become upset. We'll love you know matter what." Maynard scolded lightly. "So then is it right to assume that your fight was because of your relationship?"

"Yeah, you see just today actually we decided to be more open about our relationship. There was no real problem at first other than stares and whispers, but then he came along." Demi growled under his breath remembering the things he said. "He said some rude things about her, and he made me mad. I lost control of my temper and ended up punching him right in the jaw. Made him fall to the ground."

This was the first time D'arcy heard the cause of the fight too, and she frowned upon hearing it. Cursing to herself silently, her hatred for that wolf deepening.

Maynard contemplated silently about his son's explanation. Certainly Demi had noble cause to slug that jerk for talking down about his love interest, but still violence is never the answer.

D'arcy gripped Demi's paw with her own and looked at him intently. "I'm so sorry Demi. He's a real jerk and extremely jealous, I should have known if anybody were to cause problems for us it be him. You see he was my previous boyfriend, my first boyfriend actually. Shortly before I met you I broke up with him. He's not the type of person I wanted to be with, and luckily I saw that early in our relationship. Being so vain he probably felt you weren't worthy of being with me, so he decided to take it upon him to say whatever it is he said to you."

Demi looked at her and nodded and for the first time today he reflected on what that wolf had said. Was it true? Did she really sleep with him? They stared at each other silently for a moment before Maynard spoke.

"So a jealous ex-boyfriend wants to interfere in your relationship? I can't say I am pleased to hear that you dated at a younger age than you are now, but that is none of my business. To be honest I think fourteen is still to early to be dating, but I'll accept it. I know times have changed, but I trust you two."

The conversation kept going from there and things lightened up towards the end. Maynard and Mila happy to get to know the young girl their son was dating. Finding that they like her a lot, and was glad Demi found someone that really cared for him.
