Working on the farm
Tiran's new job doesn't seem to be going too well. Lets see if his perspective could be changed.
I hope you all enjoy.
Tiran was driving home after a long day of work. He could smell the smell of other animals on his clothes. He had been working on the farm for a while after being recommended by one of his friends. But he was quickly figuring out that he wasn't cut out for this line of work. His job would be better for a bull or horse, not a wolf. As he drove into his driveway he received a call on his cell phone. He answered his cell phone as he walked into his house, "Hello?" He heard the voice of the friend who had recommended the job to him, "Hey man how is the job going?" Tiran sighed, "It's not going too well man don't you think this job would be more suited to someone... stronger?" He heard laughing on the other end, "Don't worry about that man, you've been working for what a week?" Tiran thought about it for a moment, "Yeah." "Give it three more days if you can't handle it you can resign and I will give you a month's work of pay from my paycheck." Tiran thought over it for a minute, "Fine, but only three more days." After saying goodbye he hung up. He smelled himself and nearly threw up. "These clothes need to go into the trash." He went into the bathroom, after undressing and throwing the clothes away he took a shower. After watching some television he went to bed and found himself having an odd dream. He was working in the farm and he found himself picking up stuff that he normally couldn't lift. He found himself walking near a water trough and when he looked into the water and saw a shocking sight. He found himself looking at a bull's face. Tiran woke up in a cold sweat. "That felt way too real to be a dream..." He quickly shook the dream from his head and started to get dressed. After getting ready and eating he left his house. After he locked up he saw Marcus standing next to his car, "Hey man." He had met Marcus a few weeks before at a party, when he had heard that Tiran didn't have a job he had recommended the farm job. "What are you doing here Marcus?" His friend laughed, "I'm here to drive you to work."
Tiran sighed, "You don't need to do that, I already have a car you know." Marcus laughed, "Today you are not driving, after work today I'm going to be taking you somewhere and I don't need you getting out of it." Tiran sighed; he knew that once Marcus made up his mind there was no changing it. "Fine." He said in an irritated voice. Tiran watched as the city flew past the window. As they drove up to the farm he saw how the farm was already being worked on at a fast pace. "I can't believe how fast some people get here." Marcus laughed, "Farm life is an early morning job, I'm sure you'll get used to it." Marcus got out of the car and scrunched up his muzzle when he smelled the manure in the air. Marcus laughed when he saw his friends face, "You still aren't used to the smell?" Tiran shook his head in embarrassment.
Tiran and Marcus walked into the farm and started to get their equipment ready. One of the other workers walked up to Marcus and whispered into his ear, Marcus and the worker glanced at Tiran for a moment then the worker walked away. "Something up?" Tiran asked, "Nah, it's nothing just a question about how to work one of the machines." They got all of their stuff together and walked out to start working. After two hours of harvesting wheat he found himself fatigued. He saw all of the other workers were still working hard, "I shouldn't of made that promise to keep working. I wonder if I should just break off the promise and go tell the boss that I can't work here." Tiran shook the idea from his mind and continued to work as he worked longer his tail started to drag in the dirt behind him. He finally heard the bell that signaled a break. Marcus dropped the cart he had been carrying and walked over to Tiran. "Are you ready to eat?" Tiran sighed, "I don't know if I'm going to be able to even lift my arms." As they opened their lockers Tiran noticed his lunch was missing. He looked around, "Did anyone take my lunch?" Nobody answered. "Hey man why don't you just get lunch from the line?" Tiran looked at the line, a lot of the food they had was for herbivores. "I can't eat that stuff." Marcus pushes him towards the line, "Come on it's just once." After a few minutes of waiting Tiran finally reached the counter with the food. The food that they had consisted of grass, wheat, and cud. After looking at it he thought about just going without food but he realized that if he didn't eat he wouldn't be able to work. He grabbed a bit of everything hoping that if he mixed them together the flavors would be dulled down. He sat down with Marcus and some of the other workers. He gathered a little of all of the food in his spoon and tried a bite and almost immediately spit it out. He was about to throw it away when he found that he wanted to try another bite. The others just kept on talking not seeming to notice him eating. This time he gathered just one of the foods, the cud. He took a bite of it and found it disgusting but this time he found that he couldn't spit it out.
He tried to spit it out but he chewed it and swallowed it down, and his hand reached for another bite of it. He tried to pull his hand back but he kept on taking bites of it, what scared him more was that he was starting to like the taste of it. When the plate was done he set his spoon down and sighed content. The bell rang signaling the end of the break and they all went back to their jobs.
As Tiran worked he was thinking over what happened when he was eating. He worked for the rest of the day strangely never getting tired. After work Tiran put away his equipment and walked with Marcus to the car. Tiran asked where they were going but Marcus wouldn't tell him anything. After twenty minutes they reached a hall that had a banner above it with the words Farmers Party on it.
"What is this about?" Tiran asked Marcus, "Every year our boss hosts a party at this hall." Tiran was surprised, "I didn't know that the boss would do this." Marcus smiled, "The boss appreciates all of our work, so he thought that we deserved this." Marcus and Tiran walked into the hall. Tiran looked around and saw Horses and bulls and dairy cows all around. "I feel a bit out of place." Tiran started to turn around and Marcus grabbed his arm, "Come on it's not so bad."
Tiran sighed and they started to party with the other workers. As they partied a dairy cow walked up to Tiran and handed him a cup of milk and winked at him. He was confused for a minute but he quickly brushed it off and started to drink it and dance with the girls. As he danced he found that it was getting very hot in the hall. The music in the room seemed to get louder. He found that new glasses of the milk seemed to be constantly slipped into his hand as the party went on. In the middle of dancing he suddenly felt sick and he had to excuse himself and he ran to the bathroom. As he ran in he looked in the mirror and saw something shocking, his muzzle seemed to be changing. He forgot about being sick and watched as he started to change, His muzzle was changing from his wolfish face into one more akin to a bull's. He noticed that his fur was changing from a light gray to a black color. He watched as his eyes changed and horns started to grow from his head. Tiran looked down and saw that muscles were starting to grow exponentially and that his clothes were starting to tear at the seams. He noticed that is paws were changing into hoofs, and that his tail had changed into that of a bull's. As the change was finishing up he found that he didn't care that he was changing, in fact he was enjoying the change. After he finished changing he took his clothes off and looked around and saw a package with his name on it in the corner. When he opened the package he found a set of clothes that fit his much better.
As he walked out of the bathroom Marcus was waiting for him there, "Hey man, you look good as a bull." Tiran smiled, "I feel good as a bull, I have a feeling that I'm going to like working at the farm from now on." Marcus chuckled and the two walk out to once again dance with some of the dairy cows. The next day the farm once again had a farm full of only bulls, horses, and cows.
