Blacklisted Chapter 2: Revelations
Chapter 2 of my new series, Blacklisted. I will try to write a chapter every 2 days, having more ideas and more success with this series. What happens when Vince follows a group of mercenaries? Find out!
The day was sunny and bright, a nice day to do anything. Swim at a friend's pool, play football at the park, escape from a prisoner transport. Anything is possible on this day, including escaping from prisoner. Now back to Vince.
Vince was slowly regaining his consciousness, having a splitting headache as well. He looked at his bloody paws, then the flaming wreckage he was pulled out of. A guard was struggling to grab his 12 gauge shotgun with the human that told Vince to keep his head down. Vince watched attentively to the two struggling, trying to get up and leave, but he couldn't feel his legs. He continued to watch the guard and human, wondering if the human was his friend, or foe.
The two struggled for a while, both of them putting equal force against each other. Eventually, the human smacked the guard and grabbed the shotgun, shooting the guard in the head afterwards. The human was well aware of the back-up the guard had called before he died, but he wasn't worried, he had some back-up of his own. The human looked at the wreckage, then at the red fox he had pulled out of the wreckage. He quickly ran towards Vince.
"You alright? You got shook up pretty bad." The human said to Vince.
Vince looked at the human with some curiosity.
"What...what the fuck is going on?" Vince asked
"No time to explain. Come on, they're going to surround us!" The human yelled at him.
"Well at least help me up."
"Fine! You'd better run fast."
"Don't worry about my running, just help me up already!" Vince yelled at him
The human helped him up, mumbling something under his breath. Vince wondered what the human said, but shrugged it off quickly. The pair ran into the blood-soaked streets. There was blood and bullets flying all over the place, cops on one side of the streets, masked mercenaries on the other. Vince kept his head down as bullets were exchanged by members of both sides. Vince stopped behind a small, tan sedan, having another flashback.
*Flashback*
The sirens blared as both Vince and Diego ran towards a line of cars. Chinese police officers are firing at the two, having little to no success in hitting them. They had assault rifles, Vince had a H&K G36C, while Diego had a M16. They had only 2 magazines left for their guns, trying their best not to waste their remaining rounds.
"Last mag!" Vince yelled at Diego.
" ¡Coño! Shit! Where the fuck is Ivan and Dimitri!" Diego yelled back
"I don't know, but they better get here soon!" Vince yelled again.
The cars that they took cover behind were full of bullet holes. A van sped by them, making a U-turn and stopping in front of the pair. The back doors on the van swung open, revealing a black furred wolf. The wolf was equipped with an AK-47, firing at the Chinese police officers. Both Vince and Diego looked back at the van, then running towards it.
"Happy to see me?" The wolf asked
"Fucking shit Dimitri. We've would have been dead if you hadn't came right now." Vince said, slightly annoyed.
"You know I wouldn't leave you, not even Ivan would."
"I know, just could have been killed today." Vince said as he entered the van.
As soon as Diego got in, the van kept moving. The three kept shooting at the police officers that pursued them.
*End of flashback*
The human stopped behind the same sedan Vince was behind. The cops tried to advance, but were pushed back even more. Soon, S.W.A.T. vans came to support the police officers. One of the masked mercenary called out to Vince and the human, telling them to get in the alley. Vince and the human ran into the alley, trying to dodge the bullets flying towards them. A bullet hit Vince's chest and Vince hid behind a dumpster, holding his wound in pain.
"Come on, get up! There's no time for resting!" The human yelled at him.
"What the fuck is going on?!" Vince asked, yelling loudly at him.
"I strongly advise you to do as you are told." One of the mercs said.
"And who the fuck are you to talk to me like that?" Vince asked the merc.
The merc got ticked off and hit Vince's nose with the butt of his rifle, breaking his nose.
"Your glory days are long gone old timer, and stop feeling sorry for yourself." The merc said, returning fire to the cops.
Vince held his nose in pain, then getting up and following some mercenaries. The human followed the mercenaries as well, firing at the cops every now and then. They passed by a garage and a large store, the cops still pursing them. They reached a diner, the cops on their tail.
"Fuck! Where's out ride out?" One of the mercenaries asked.
"They'll be here. Just give them a second." Another mercenary responded.
The group was unaware that the getaway vehicle was just up a bit north, behind a donut shop. A S.W.A.T. team tried to enter the diner from the rear, making loud noises. The mercenaries heard the loud noises and knew it was cops or S.W.AT., so they opened fire. The two groups got in an intense firefight, both sides taking casualties. One of the mercenaries broke open the door and ran towards the donut shop, being gun downed by the surrounding S.W.A.T. teams. The group of mercenaries decided to just cut their losses and take their chances. They ran toward towards the donut shop, taking losses and firing at the S.W.A.T teams. The van was behind the donut shop, the engine running. The group, what remained of the group, entered the back of the van. A mercenary grabbed Vince and tied him up, putting a mask over his head as well.
"Hey what the fu-" Vince said, before someone knocked him out.
The van got away safely from the pursuing cops. They drove towards a large and abandon warehouse. They stopped and opened up the back. Vince, now conscious, was thrown out of the van. He was pushed towards a group of furs and humans, some wore ski masks, others didn't. The was five humans and furs standing in the middle, wear expensive looking suits. The mercenary threw down Vince in front of the five furs and humans standing in front of the middle. One of them took off the mask. Vince looked up at the group that stood in front of them. He recognize all of them, Diego, his best friend, Ivan and Dimitri, the black wolves and brothers, James, a yellow dragon, and Silent, a bengal tiger.
"Vince, I've been waiting for this moment for eight years." Dimitri said to Vince, circling around him in his Russian accent.
"I thought you were all dead." Vince said looking up at all of them.
"I should fucking cut you up right here and now."
"Yeah? Why don't you?"
"Oh rest assured we will. You betrayed us Vince. You left us behind and ran away with it all." Ivan said walking towards him.
"The fuck I did." Vince said in a low voice.
"Vince we don't have time for this. We have both your wife and daughter."
"You got what? I don't believe you, I wanna talk to them!" Vince yelled at Ivan.
"SHUT UP! I'll tell you what to do. You know I have to kill you, but I'm giving you a chance. Bring it all back and I'll let them go." Ivan said to Vince.
"Diego?" Vince asked looking at his friend.
"I'm sorry Vince, but you know we can't bend the rules." Diego said to him.
"I treated you like a son. You have five days. No more." Ivan said leaving.
The whole group left Vince with the human. Their loud footsteps echoing the entire warehouse. The human walked up to Vince, holding the shotgun in his hands still. He pointed at the cuffs that were still on his paws and shot them. Vince got up slowly and shook his head.
"Name's Ronald." The human said, pulling out a phone.
"What's the phone for?" Vince asked
"I'll be reporting back to them. Every morning and every night."
"Great, a fucking watchdog."
"If I don't call them back with good news, they start with your wife."
"Not unless you do exactly as I say. Come on, let's get to my safehouse." Vince said walking out of the abandon warehouse.
Vince walked out of the warehouse with his new found "watchdog". He spotted a unoccupied sedan. Vince walked towards it, breaking open the drivers window and opening the door. He hot wired the small, gray sedan and started it up. Ronald got in the car and they drove off towards Vince's safe house.
"So, what's up with you and the Six?" Ronald asked.
"I used to be with them. Enough said." Vince replied, focusing on the road.
Vince didn't notice that both of them still having prison clothes on, he was too focused on what Ivan told him. There were cops around their general area, but they managed to evade the cops everyway possible. The reached Vince's safehouse by nightfall. Vince exited the car and went towards the door. Ronald exited the car and followed him towards the door, wondering how he would open it. Vince grabbed a key underneath a small mat, then opening the door.
The house was pretty well furnished and clean. It looked pretty nice and spacious, on the inside at least. Vince sat down on a couch, letting out a loud sigh. "Rest up. Tomorrow, we're doing a shitload of things. Rooms are upstairs and downstairs." Vince said to Ronald.
"What about you? Your going to rest up?" Ronald asked him.
"Don't worry about me. I'll be rested enough for tomorrow. If you need me, I'll be down here." Vince replied.
Ronald nodded his head and went upstairs. He opened a room door and quickly laid down on a soft, large bed, falling fast asleep. Vince stayed downstairs, looking at a picture of his family, including his son. He sighed one last time and went upstairs, opening a door and falling fast asleep.
