The otter woke up, his eyes barely wanting to open as he lifted his head off of the pillow it rested on. Sebastian groggily looked over at his alarm clock. It was only a half hour past five, and the sun wasn't even up yet.
"God dammit.." he said as he pulled himself out of the bed. He decided since he was up, he'd just get ready and head out earlier. The otter walked to his door, and unlocked it slowly. He looked around, seeing that there was no sign of life on the upper floor.
Sebastian walked back to his room, and scavenged through his drawers for a clean outfit. The otter then sighed as he was forced to grab a pair of jeans off the floor. He dragged his feet across the floor and through the short hallway.
Sebastian entered the bathroom, and moved a pile of clothes out of the way. He dropped his as he undressed himself, making sure there was a towel nearby. The otter sighed a bit as he looked himself in the mirror. He then turned on the water in the shower, as he waited for it to get especially warm.
"Another day" he says, as he enters the water, and starts to wash himself. The steam filled the bathroom, fogging up the mirror as the otter began to hum. Sebastian washed his fur a bit, starting to remember the incident with Richard. "Ok.. that's it I gotta talk to him!"
Sebastian washed himself more, suds covering his fur all over. He kept thinking of what he would say to Richard, as the suds were washed down his scrawny legs. The otter grabbed the soap and began to lather his fur with it, only picturing the Tiger in his mind. For some reason, he wasn't angry at him anymore. But he was worried now.
He soon stopped the water, and stepped out to grab the towel. He stepped along the floor and wiped the steam off the mirror. He looked at himself before grabbing his clothes. He began to get dressed when his alarm clock went off.
"Six o' clock.." Sebastian said as he put on his shirt. He then grabbed his tooth brush and began to brush his sharpish teeth. The foam from the toothpaste went along his lips and gums as he brushed. The otter soon spit into the sink, and began into the hallway.
He walked back into his room and grabbed his things, along with some cash he had left on his desk. "Might as well go to the nearby snack stop." He said, as he began to walk down the stairs. He stepped slowly, his webbed feet pushing against the soft carpeting which made the stairs.
He looked about, noticing no one was home again. "Good.. guess I can just go." He said, as he quickly went out the front door, walking down the street slowly.
About a good half hour later, Sebastian arrived at the school. He had a cereal bar from the Snack Stop he had stopped by, half eaten as he had some crumbs along his lips, which he quickly licked off. He walked to the doors of the school. Surprisingly they were unlocked. He hadn't been here this early, so he had never seen the school at this time.
He entered, having time to kill as he looked around. He thought he may as well explore a bit. Sebastian looked around, noticing that a few of the lights in the lower locker rooms were on. He figured it was a janitor, but decided to go into the locker room anyway to look around.
Sebastian walked down the stairs, as he began to hear the showers on. "Seems strange for.." he started, but then his words suddenly came to a halt. From the shower area, he heard whistling. Not just any whistling either, it was the same tune he heard yesterday. From Richard.
He put down his bag and started towards the shower area. The otter blushed as he inched his way around the lockers. The showers had a large wall blocking them, so Sebastian had to inch around them. He didn't know why he was doing this; he tried to tell himself to stop, but his body kept moving.
Sebastian took a look around the corner, as his face went a bright red. He caught a glimpse of Richard, from behind washing. Yesterday he didn't like it, but this time he was still deciding. But once he noticed Richard start to turn, the otter started to run out. Sebastian didn't know what he was thinking but he ran towards the stairs.
He grabbed his bag and ran up the stairs tripping quickly. Something bounced out of his pockets but he didn't realize it at the time. Sebastian just kept running, somewhat freaking out.
From inside the showers, Richard heard someone run off faintly, away from the showers. He turned off the water, letting the rest of it flow down the drain below him. "Hello?" he asked, putting on a nearby towel.
Richard looked over to the exit stairs, seeing no one. But then something caught his eye, so the large tiger walked over to it. "Well.. whoever you are.. you forgot something" he said, with a bit of disappointment in his eye. "Damn dirtbags.. trying to write on the lockers again!!" he yelled hoping they were there.
He then reached over, picking up an old cell phone. It wasn't broken the least, being a flip phone not a touch screen. "Let's see who you are.." he started to look through the texts a bit. "Last time I get fooled.. gonna find you and.." he then reached a message, which gave him his answer.
"Its.." he said, his ears soon drooping. He knew the owner wasn't one of the jerks who would spraypaint sex slang onto the lockers, which only made this more confusing for him.
It was about third period, as Sebastian was too busy thinking over the beginning of his day. The other students in the room just waited around, as the teacher wasn't in the room yet. Soon a tall eagle entered, but wasn't their usual teacher.
"Now settle down class. You're usual Italian teacher; Mrs. Acadia is out due to private reasons. Now I'm your substitute Mr. Schwartz. Now she unfortunately didn't leave any lesson plan, and for all I know could just be home watching TV. So, do whatever as long as you don't disrupt other classes." The eagle said.
The others began to talk and gossip, while Sebastian just sat there looking down. "Yo Sebastian! What are you doing?" A voice called from in front of him.
He looked up to notice a taller lizard standing in front of him, grinning happily. It was Antonio, Sebastian's good friend. Antonio put his hand down, grinning. His arms were long and green, like the rest of his body. Of course he had red slashes along his arms, which were part of his skin pattern. "You get the text I sent ya first period?"
Sebastian then blinked a bit, checking his pockets. "Oh didn't let me find my phone.." he said as Antonio rubbed the spikes along his head, trying to impress the girls nearby. He claimed he was part raptor, but no one really believed him.
"Hold on.. where is it.." Sebastian said, checking around his pockets. "God dammit where is it!" he said, beginning to panic.
"Chill otter it's probably at your pad." Antonio said. Sebastian would have told him to stop talking like that, but he was too busy panicking.
"No no I had it when I walked here.." he said, looking in his backpack.
"Sebastian? Sebastian Fisher?" Mr. Schwartz said from the front of the room. "You have a visitor." He said pointing at the door.
Sebastian stood up and walked over to the door. He looked out the window, noticing it was Richard, who looked right back at him. "Shit.." Sebastian said, opening the door and walking out. He couldn't help but notice a string of chatter arise from his classmates, as they look over.
Sebastian closed the door behind him, as he looked up at Richard. "H-h-hey." He said, smiling nervously.
"Lose something rudderbutt?" he said, holding up his cellphone. Richard gave it to him, and looked down the hallway. "Now, why were you there this morning?" he looked back at him, with a partially worried expression.
"Just.. I noticed the door was open and the lights and.." he said, trying to explain himself.
"Ok ok calm down. You know what, you have gym sixth period right?" Richard said, as he looked at Sebastian's worried expression.
"Y-y-ea.. How'd you know?" The otter asked.
"I saw you running the track one day when I was on my off period. Listen I'll come to the track that period, and then we can chat there." The tiger said. He then grabbed Sebastian and hugged him tightly.
Sebastian's face went a bright red, as he hugged Richard back. He thought it was just a friendly hug, like his other friends would give each other. Richard then pulled back, and started down the hallway.
Sebastian then entered the room again, his phone safely back inside of his pocket. He walked back to his desk, where Antonio was still waiting. "Well? What was that?" he said, as he grinned.
"What.. do you mean Antonio?" he said, looking around as a few people gossiped.
"Don't play dumb, we saw your hug." He said grinning a bit.
Sebastian wanted to say something back, but then he realized he was getting very interesting looks from around the room. Apparently, they did see it. Turns out someone had been looking out the window. Sebastian didn't care who, but he now wondered what the others were thinking.
