Remember those you have lost and remember those you have loved for they live on in our hearts and memories. This poem came to mind when I was contemplating my life, and the shortness of all our lives. May we all find peace in the hearts of our loved ones when our times come.
Memories of those we have lost
The shadows of the dead linger in our hearts...
They appear to the living, oblivious to our presence...
We are cursed to relive their final moments in our minds...
They group together in their misery...
They appear together in our times of grief...
They strengthen us with memories...
They remind us of our mortality...
They inspire us in their greatness...
And in our hearts they find peace...
