Chapter Seven: The Light Within Memories.
I remembered, I remembered a friendly voice. I could hear her calling, yet I couldn't see, and I couldn't breathe. Feeling the shock of coldness around me, I froze, only to look up to the rippled light above me. My body cold, and my mind stopped, I felt my vision fading, and I finally only saw the shadows of hands reaching for me. Jumping to my wake, I heard the sense of angry chatter near the den. Looking into an emerald set of eyes, she came upon me like a ravenous animal. As I laid, pinned to the caverns floor, she looked into my eyes with rage. "WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU!" Stammering out, nothing came to my mind. I had no idea what happened to me, I don't know if I was killed by the fall, or survived by some dumb luck. "Kiyoko, get off him." Hearing her growl, she got off. Listening to my mind ramble on, like some lunatic tied into the chance of humanity, I tried to force memories to me. All that came was darkness, then all that came was the cold, stabbing into me like the sheet of a steel blade, I heard myself cry a name out. All I heard reply was the wind howl, and drive itself towards me into a gust of shadow. Looking upon her, I took note at the bandages on her chest. "What happened?" My voice and belief concerned, she looked away in her violent, yet silent cry. "Stabbing." Fylakas replied, and my head dropped down. "How are her injuries here then, if she was attacked in another timeline?" Going blank, Fylakas had a very well educated guess, but nothing solid. It was almost terrifying looking at Kiyoko like this, teeth bared, and blood coming from her wound as she urged herself to lie down. It also gave me a strong unforgiving guilt, yet it also made me scold myself. Looking around for the older wolf, I noticed he was gone, it was only me tied within a room, and a killer. I thought about asking her how she was, yet refrained after realizing how stupid of a question it would be. Looking into her eyes, and the tears forming around them; it only forced me to think about how a pup like this could be a killer, and how she started to help Fylakas. "You can stop staring now, I'm fine." Holding my gaze to her wounds, I looked at the poorly made bandaging. Taking a guess that Fylakas had to heal her in this time; I wanted to help her, yet I couldn't think about how I could. "No, you're not." Walking over to her, she bared her teeth once more. As if she believed I was afraid, I couldn't tell what gave me this courage with her. All I knew were the multiple voices rambling within my head, and how everything was starting to spin. My mind focused on her, and I saw how her bandages were falling off due to its poor application. "Get away from me." She brought her head down to the caverns floor, and only paid her attention to the outside world. Grabbing an end of her bandaging with my teeth, she spun her head around. "What are you doing?" She spoke harshly, and I began to tighten the only thing keeping her life within her. "Helping, now hold still." She sighed in contemptuous tone, but I saw how she held her face. I saw how she believed that I was trying to help her, and how she couldn't get me to stop. After tightening up the reddened paper that was holding her, she sighed again. "Yeah, thanks now get away from me." She spoke coldly, and looked outside the den once more. I walked further back into the den, and only kept into thought. That was, until I heard my stomach growling. Upon hearing this, Kiyoko perked upwards, and shot a small smile. "Well, that's what Fylakas probably went to get." Her smile faded, and she went to staring back out the den. 'Screw it, there's no harm in asking.' It was probably the only smart thing my mind gave me out of all the endless thoughts and voices in my mind. Getting up once more, I decided to lie down next to her. "Now what are you doing?" It was starting to sound repetitive to me, and I knew that it wasn't a good thing. "How did you meet Fylakas anyways?" My voice strong and sure, she gave an expression I could never describe. "He found me." She replied, her tone held no expression, but her face told a different story. "Something went wrong?" I spoke again, cursing myself for not thinking beforehand. She didn't reply, only kept to herself and left me in a guilty wonder. A rustling came from outside the den, and then I saw those familiar eyes. The scent of a fresh kill filled my nose and mind, my stomach growled once more, but I kept feeling that guilt I caused myself. Watching Kiyoko stand up, and walk over; I stayed in my place, and went into the depths of my mind. 'Nothing.' It was the only answer that came to me. With the same growling sound, I stood up. Walking over to them though, something flashed in my eyes. Looking into the golden chain Fylakas gave me, and the slightest picture of my face, my mind flashed and I hit the floor.
