Life From a New Perspective - Epilogue - I'll Follow You To Hells Gate
Well, here is the epilogue. Another love story right from my heart is done and complete. The epilogue is quite short, much shorter than I planned, but epilogues in nature are short, so it provides the closure I know some of us are looking for (ZypherKronic ^_^)
Like I always say, EnjOy!
I was thrust from my sleep into being awake as something playfully jumped on my chest. Two or three more things pounced onto my back and sides as I slowly rolled to the side.
"Ugh, already time to get up?" I murmured sleepily.
"Yes mommy, come on and get up!" The cute little voices of my newborns were more than enough to get me up.
"All right, all right, I'm up." I said, the pups on my chest sliding off as I rose. I yawned before walking to the den entrance and reaching out into a long stretch, working my sore muscles.
"How ya feelin?"
"Oh, still kinda sore."
He chuckled lightly, "That makes two of us." I looked back at the battered and wounded father of my pups and nuzzled his neck as he stood next to me, still heavily limping on his one good leg. Reenin and I stood next to each other, the rising sun shining brightly on our litter of fourteen young pups, playing together in the soft grass, wet with dew.
"And he walks again, it's a miracle!" I looked for where the sarcastic voice came from and saw Jesiki walking towards us with two of her still young pups riding on her back.
"Yes, but he probably shouldn't be." I said, bumping his shoulder playfully. He winced lightly before once again chuckling.
"Yea, but how could I miss seeing my beautiful mate and our cute pups every morning. I fought halfway to hell for them and I'd go right up to the gates and fight the devil himself two-fold for them and for the pack." He slumped down onto his side as the pain quickly crept back up on him. Jesiki giggled slightly as I laid down next to him and licked his muzzle lovingly.
"And I'd follow you there to make sure you got back alive, because I couldn't imagine life without you anymore."
