Well, the unamimous vote was: Love At First Sight! So here's the next installment. I hope you enjoy...

Before I knew it, two weeks had gone by; two agonizing weeks. In the past few days I've formed semi-friendships with Gale, Andrew, Vick, Kate, and Kat; and also a small mouse named Abigail ("or Abby, for short"). I have lunch with Andrew, Vick, Kate and Kat and I have even days with Gale (in Math) and Abby (in English). Add to that piles upon mountains of homework and you've got High School. Sounds fun right?

Ever since my first day, and that jolt that coursed through me at seeing him, I haven't had any problems. That is, until the start of Quarter 2 and Mr. Frinse drops the biggest bomb on me that he could. "New quarter, new seats! Everyone up and wait for me to assign you to your new place." Everyone does as he says and I'm able to find a nice corner to hide in until my name is called.

He reaches the back-middle cluster of desks and calls out, counterclockwise, "Jason,"--the tiger walks over and slouches right into the seat--"Maer,"--breathless, I take my seat--"Abigail, Tyler." He moves on to the next set of desks as Abby sits next to me and Tyler (a cheetah) to her; forming a roughly square shape. Mr. Frinse finishes giving everyone their new seats and says, "Now say hi to your new friends so we can all get to work." Abby and I smile at each other, but I can't help mine being a tad bit strained because of who else I happen to be sitting beside. Somehow, though, I end up being able to focus on my class work and converse with Abby without thinking too much about the tiger. My tail can't help giving me away a little bit with the fur at the end bristling slightly; worse Abby asks if everything's okay at one point because she noticed.

Days blur into weeks and weeks blur into months; Thanksgiving is now just around the corner. I get to know Jason and Tyler better and I learn Jason is stuck between outcast and jock and Tyler is a full-fledged jock. All four of us like games and Jason likes reading.

It's the day before Thanksgiving break that anything new happens. As the announcements start everyone rushes to the door to be dismissed, except me of course, I'm always slow getting my things together. What's different about today is that Jason doesn't get up either. He gets up as I do and walks with me to the door. When the announcements end he asks, "Can you c'mere a minute?" Curious, I follow him down the hallway students who ride the buses take and down the stairs. He steers toward the back wall and we both wait for the stairwell to clear out, which takes about thirty minutes. After everyone is gone Jason takes a few steps up and looks for anyone coming down; once he's sure no one's coming he comes back to me.

He takes my arm and pulls me into the little pocket of space under the stairs. He looks at me and begins stammering. "Are you doing anything over break? I mean--are you free... Wait, no, uh..." Odd as it is, seeing as how I don't know him well and I'm the new kid and just met everyone here about two months ago, I start thinking his stammering is cute; I also get kind of tired of it. So I do something I would never think of doing; something so un-me.

I take the collar of his shirt in my and, pull him close... And I kiss him.

I've never kissed anyone before; I didn't know what came over me. But, as soon as I did, his arms went around my waist and mine go around his shoulders and me move closer together. Just then, I wish time would freeze. I wish I could continue to live that moment, it felt so good.

Eventually we pull away from each other. He looks into my eyes and I'm swimming in a vibrant blue ocean as he asks me, "Would you... go on a date with me?"

Well, looks like I new a location for a date don't I?

PM me with restaurant ideas and I'll see which spot is more hot!
