Krystal's point of view...

I'm gazing down at Adam, seeing him laying down on one of the beds in the medbay, a machine telling his heart rate and delivering an i.v. drip, a carefully wrapped bandage covering a successful operation in giving him a right eye implant, I take his left hand, I rub his arm as I look at his resting face. Finding heavy bruises on various parts of his body from heavy hits brings one big question... how much pain was he in? What did Panther do to him? I feel a wave of anger rush over me, I deeply sigh, I slowly put his arm back down to his side, I go over to his face, I kiss his lips and I say "Rest easy hon, get better soon." with a sad smile.

Amanda comes over and she says "I've looked over the charts, his body isn't rejecting the implant at all and we'll take of the bruises in a bit."

I hear the door open, I look to see Miyu and Fay enter and they come over to us as the door closes.

Miyu says "How's he doing?" concerned.

I sigh and I say "He's doing well, he has to recover for at least a few days."

Miyu goes over to Adam, she gently brushes her hand through his hair, she looks angry and sad as she looks down at him.

Fay moves over to Miyu, she puts a hand on her shoulder and she says "Don't beat yourself up, there was nothing you or Fox could do."

Miyu says "I know Fay, but that doesn't changed how messed up this is!", she looks to Fay and she says "You weren't there when he screamed!"

I say "How much pain was Adam in?!"

Miyu looks to me and she says "It was grave Krystal, Panther tore into him so badly I honestly thought he was going to kill him, but when Adam screamed... I've never heard anyone scream like that."

Fay looks to Amanda and she says "How bad of shape was he in doc?"

Amanda says "Some sprains and bruises for the most part, his only sever injury wound was his right eye, but thankfully the implant isn't being rejected so he'll make a full recovery without any problems."

I say "Your dodging the question!" almost snapping at the lynx.

Miyu says "That's a question I can't answer... I will say the pain he was in must've been excruciating to say the least."

The speakers sound "All hands, please report to the bridge for briefing."

I sigh and I say "Alright let's go hear what Fox has to say."

The four of us leave the room, I take a quick look back to Adam, I close the door and start heading towards the bridge. The four of us enter to see everyone and Pepper on hologram.

Fox says "Everyone's now here, well almost everyone." as he looks down.

Pepper says "How's Adam doing?"

I say "He's doing well, he just needs to recover."

Pepper says "He's earned the rest, but now we are facing a very dire situation. It's been confirmed that the Venom forces are planing to hit Earth, the homeworld of Adam's race. An enemy fleet has been outfitted with experimental drives that'll allow them to head straight into Earth's orbit."

Falco says "I thought that factory was gone."

Pepper says "It was, but they were still able to make a fleets worth before we hit and destroyed the blueprints. Now as you all know, the drives the Venom's use aren't as reliable as ours, as in at that kind of distance they would either off shoot or explode during travel, but these drives won't do that due to their improved reliability and they'll hit Earth as hard as they can."

Slippy says "Why would they go this far?"

Fox says "Isn't it obvious? They fear his race, because of what he's done in the time he's been here."

Miyu says "Is Adam's race really that feared?"

Lucy says "From what we can tell based on the information Adam has given us about his race, while his race lacks technology they make up for it in will power which can easily make them zealous in their causes. The key issues however is that for the most part his race suffers from greed malice and sheer avarice, this has resulted in mass poverty, constant wars and lack of individual freedom in a lot of cases."

Lucy says "Anyway, based on what we know the resources humans use are mostly non-renewable, these fossil fuels release carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide into the atmosphere, the results are an increase in global temperatures, loss of life, pollution and large amount of diseases such as cancer and respiratory problems. Speaking of which one of the main reason why there's so much war is because of those resources and far too many ideologies that can't effectively co-exist."

Peppy says "War-like, scatter brained and egotistical."

Katt says "While that does seem to reflect most of his race, there are those like him."

Falco says "What's to stop them from messing with our system?"

Pepper says "Adam and I went over that as we have come up with a contingency plan to deal with certain groups and sub-groups."

Fox says "So we have safeguards in place if we have to evacuate them."

I say "Fox, it's not a question of 'if' it's 'when'."

Pepper says "Krystal's right, if they are doing this then they're going to hit Earth with their most potent W.M.D.'s."

Amanda says "And with no orbital defenses..."

Fox says "They'll be wiped out."

Pepper says "We've added the destination to the Orbital Gate and have sent a small fleet to monitor the sit..." suddenly an alarm sounds on Pepper's end and he says "There's an s.o.s. coming from the sent fleet."

A voice comes through "We're un... tack! Ven... ces have come through! Send... nforcements and evac..." with that the signal cuts.

Pepper says "Head straight to Earth Star Fox! I'm sending our main fleet in now! Good luck!" with that his hologram ends.

Fox says "Rob head to the gate at once! It's time to join the fight!"

Rob says "Affirmative."

Fay says "How many people are on Earth?"

Amanda says "About 7.4 billion."

Peppy says "There's no way we can save a population that size if the planet is hit."

Fox says "Then we save as many as we can if that that happens. Everyone, we're going on full alert and remain on stand by."

With that the meeting ends and we all split up, i arrive at the hanger to prep my cloud runner craft, I look to see the fighter Adam had captured, it's colors changed to our teams color palette though she's nameless at the moment as it's best to receive it from him.

I sense a presence and I say "What is it Fox?" with a hinted sigh.

Fox comes over and he says "I just figured we'd talk." with a hopeful smile.

I glance to him and I say "What is there to talk about?" knowing what subject this is.

Fox says "Krystal, I'm sorry about what happened. I was stupid and selfish, I never meant to hurt you."

I look straight at hm and I say "Fox, that part of our lives is over. Your ego turned against you and you got rid of me, we maybe comrades again... but we'll never get back to that stage again. You can apologize all you want but it won't work and besides... I'm already taken."

Fox becomes shocked and he says "Taken by who?"

I bite my tongue, I unconsciously look to Adam's fighter, I hear "Adam? It's Adam?!", I freeze, I glance to see Fox looking hurt and furious. I quickly read his thought, I become stunned, he turns and starts running.

I say "STOP FOX!!!" as I begin to chase after him.

Miyu's point of view...

I'm sitting next to Adam, he hasn't budged which is a good thing because of his injuries, I remember not to long ago before the mission that resulted in this we were hanging out and he called me 'big sis', while it did slip out I didn't mind it, if anything I liked it... and before we knew t we were brother and sister. Silly I know, but the thing is Adam came to us alone so naturally he needed to find a support system and it seems he's found it with us, more specifically with us women, he does try to get to know the other guys but he seems to struggle.

I hear my comm "Miyu, please pick up!" it's Krystal.

I answer and I say "What is it Krystal?"

I hear Krystal "Fox is on his way to the medbay, protect Adam!"

I say "Got it.", I hang up and get ready for Fox.

Fox comes in with his blaster ready and he says "Miyu, get out of the way!"

I pull out my sidearm, I say "I'm sorry Fox, but I can't do that." as aim at Fox and I say "Please disarm at once!"

Fox takes a few steps forward, a soft whir coming off his weapon and he says "I will not comply with that!"

I say "Nor will I!"

Krystal comes in, she says "Fox!", she grabs him, turns him around and smacks the side of his head so hard the sound echos all over the room.

I run up to Fox, I quickly take his weapon and restrain him.

Krystal says "Fox, leave Adam alone. Lashing out isn't the answer and it isn't going to change anything. We need to be ready for the battle ahead and your jeopardizing the mission, not to mention Adam doesn't know of our past and he looks up to you... please don't throw all of it away over anger."

I say "Also, the future of an entire race depends on what we are about to do, so we need level heads if we're going to do this... so pull yourself together!"

Fox shakes a bit, he stops for a bit, he sighs and says "The both of you are right, I'm just struggling... but I will fully get over it and no worries I'll act at my full performance."

I glance to Krystal who nods, I let Fox go, I give him his blaster back and he leaves while simultaneously Amanda comes in.

Amanda looks to us and she says "Is everything okay?"

I say "Uh, yes... everything is fine." and holster my pistol.

Amanda nods, she goes over to Adam and with a deep-tissue screen begins to examine his head, her jaw drops and she looks amazed.

I say "What is it?" confused.

Amanda says "The both of you need to see this." with a fascinated smile.

Krystal and I go over to the two and what we see is that Adam's body has already accepted the implant, while there are some small areas that haven't fully healed yet the implant seems to have been fully synced.

I say "How is this possible?" shocked.

Amanda says "If I had to guess, the advanced healing proteins we used have greatly accelerated his human-biological healing capability, granted within a few hours these will run their course."

I raise an eyebrow and I say "So, does this mean he's ready to go?"

Amanda nods and she says "In short, yes. I can wake him up now if you want." with a light smile.

Krystal says "Please do so, we need all the help we can get and besides I'm sure he'd want to defend his home."

I say "I second that." with a smile.

Amanda nods, she removes the i.v. while unhooking the monitor, she grabs a syringe, she injects the substance into where the i.v. once was and she says "There we go, he'll be up in a few minutes." with a smile.

My point of view...

Like a computer, light invades my sight, I groan and I sit up.

"Take it easy hon." it's Krystal.

I look to see Krystal, Amanda and Miyu with all three women warmly smiling and I groggily say "Hi ladies." with a ditzy smile.

Krystal says "A gent as ever." and kisses me.

Miyu says "Are you ready to see your new eye?" with a light smile.

I nod and I say "I sure am." with a light smile.

Amanda begins to remove the bandages, Krystal hands me a mirror, the bandages are fully removed, revealing a large gauze pad, Amanda removes the pade which reveals my new right eye which looks like the original.

Amanda says "The eye is fully organic, however you should know something, your human biology not only accepted the healing proteins we use but what I noticed was what could take weeks took your body mere hours, it seems that your adaptive biology encouraged the proteins to work faster."

Miyu says " basically your body made a speedy recovery, just think of the proteins boosting it."

I say "What did I miss?" as I put down the mirror.

Krystal and Miyu put on pondering looks which catches my attention instantly but Krystal speaks up "We are on our way to the Orbital Gate which will quickly get us to Earth, the fleet sent in is being engaged by the enemy. We're being sent in to reinforce along with another fleet and evacuation craft just in case things get hairy."

Amanda says "Fox wants everyone ready to launch at a moments notice and your more then ready to fly."

I nod and say "Alright, how long til we arrive?"

Miyu says "At Earth?", she thinks for a second and she says "At our speed about an hour."

I say "I'll head to the hanger at once."

Amanda says "You'll find your suit in the cockpit and we've had to install limiters on your new fighters systems due to the fact the G's you'd experience would be too much."

I say "Thanks, I'll see you girls on the far side with a smile, I give Krystal a kiss and head to the hanger.

I enter the hanger to see everyone gearing up, I head to my fighter, I put my suit on and begin to insect my fighter.

I hear "Hi Adam." it's Fox.

I look to Fox and I say "Hi Fox." with a light smile.

Fox says "How are you already up?" tilting his head.

I say "From how I understand it and how I was told, it seems my biology interacted with the stuff you guys use for healing and it seems to have enhanced the healing rate."

Fox says "So that means you were released early?" trying to understand.

I nod, I put on a more serious look and I say "I was told we're heading to Earth."

Fox says "Yes, we're heading there to try to stop the Venom Forces there as the fleet sent there can't hold out much longer.", he pulls out a datapad and he says "Here's the full briefing and intel."

I take the pad and I say "Thanks Fox." with a light smile.

Fox says "No problem." with his eyes slightly glossy?

I raise an eyebrow and I say "Are you okay Fox? You don't look too good."

Fox says "I'm okay... just anxious about the mission."

I think 'Anxious about the mission? I understand the circumstances and I know the risks with everyone else, but I know Fox and he wouldn't act this way." and I say "Fox, your a terrible liar." as I cross my arms.

Fox shakes his head and says "Eh, let's just say I'm dealing with personal stuff." sounding more truthful.

I nod and I say "Okay, good luck with that." as I start to feel uncomfortable.

Fox moves away, I head to my fighter and begin to run diagnostics on it's systems, I notice the limiters that Amanda was talking about and I also notice I can manually override if needed.

I think 'This is it, for mankind this will be judgement day!"
