Krystal and I are sitting on a bench, my gaze is focused on what looks like a city and I subtly shift my gaze a bit to see some of the vehicles or to just see other areas.

Krystal says "Beautiful, isn't it?" with a curious smile.

I say "Yeah, it is beautiful." with a light smile.

Krystal says "Comparing this to Earth, which sight do you like better?" with a curious look.

I say "Corneria definitely looks a lot better then Earth, not to mention it's also a lot cleaner."

Krystal says "What do you mean?"

I say "Corneria doesn't seem to have any pollution as far as I can tell, on Earth however it runs rampant, so rampant that in some areas the smoke and smog is so thick that you can barely see in front of you and you need a gas mask at least, even our water areas suffer from it, making water that we should be able to drink undrinkable, in some cases because of the chemicals you can even set it on fire."

Krystal says "It sounds like your world is a direct hazard then a place to live." with a light concerned look.

I say "In more nature areas, towns and actual good cities, it's less common. But it is certain that unless we follow the path Corneria has, Earth will end up choking to death." with a sigh.

Krystal says "It sounds like it." with a light sigh.

I say "But anyway, let's not dwell on that." with a light smile.

Krystal says "On another note, I think that you'll love living on Corneria. The people for the most part are friendly, in your case every year there are tech shows and conventions, purely organic food... the best of the best." with a light smile.

I say "It sounds it, though living on a starship is something I don't want to pass on either." still lightly smiling.

Krystal says "Your really into space, how long have you been into it?" with a curious look.

I say "I would say, all my life I guess. Astronomy has been one of my strong points and what got me into all of it would be the science fiction shows I would see on television." still lightly smiling.

Krystal says "So you were inspired by them?" still with a curious look.

I say "It can be put that way, but space is the final frontier and to see new life and new civilizations adds more to exploring it and seeing it's mysteries." still lightly smiling.

Krystal says "Even we are still exploring regions of the Lylat system, but it won't be long until we've fully explored them."

I say "Have attempts been made to explore beyond the system?"

Krystal says "Well, my homeworld was outside the system and we had to fight a threat that came from outside as well."

I say "What threat would that be?" with a curious look.

Krystal says "They were the Aparoid's, a race of mechanical insects both organic and inorganic. They were able to infect living things and machines alike, not only would they be added to their force but also they would change over time. We were able to figure out where their homeworld is and we destroyed it, now the Aparoids are extinct."

I say "That sounds like it was a nightmare."

Krystal says "It was difficult and in all we lost the first Great Fox and a full fifth of the Cornerian Military was lost in dealing with them."

I say "At least hey were put down, but so many were lost. In the end though it's one less threat."

Krystal nods and she says "I agree."

I decide to change the subject and I say "Anyway, what would you like to do?" with a curious smile.

Krystal thinks and she says "Well, I know that there is a tech convention going on. Would you like to check that out?" with a curious smile.

I nod and I say "Sure." with a smile and a nod.

Krystal says "Okay, let's head upfront and let them know we'll be heading out." with a smile.

Krystal and I get up off the bench and we head over to what looks like a checkpoint of some kind. Krystal conversous with the personnel working at it and she clears both of us. We head into the city, Krystal takes my hand again and we begin to walk the streets. Everyone looks right at me, I gotta admit it's actually starting to become routine to me for this to happen, I got to remember that I'm foreign to them as they are to me.

Krystal says "You feel more relaxed then last time I held your hand." with a light smile.

I say "Well, it's actually starting to feel normal to have this attention on me. If that makes sense."

Krystal says "It does, don't worry though, they'll stop after they get use to you." still lightly smiling.

We continue to walk down the sidewalk and we hear screaming.

I say "What's going on?"

Krystal says "I don't know, let's see whats going on."

Krystal and I head to where the screaming is coming from and we come to a building that's on fire with a crowd in front of it.

One of the bystanders comes over to us and she says "I'm glad your here, someones trapped in there!"

Krystal says "Wheres the fire department?"

The woman says "They're on their way, but whoever is in there won't last."

I quickly think and I say "I can go in."

Krystal looks at me and she says "What?" with shock.

I say "My suit has it's own air supply, it can be in a vacuum, armor plates and very heat resistant, it's the best chance that person has."

Krystal says "Very well, but please be careful."

I say "Don't worry, I will be.", I look at the woman and I say "where is the person trapped?"

The woman says "On the top floor."

I nod, I put my helmet on, I make sure the seals are locked in place, I look at the building, I see flames creeping underneath it which means it could be a back draft door, I look at the windows and it looks just as a bad idea as well. I quickly head towards the door at full sprint, I ready myself and smash right into it, breaking through. I hear the air hiss and suddenly flames engulf me. The flames instantly die off, I feel fine, I quickly look over my suit and other then some soot marks it's fine.

I think 'Okay, she said it was the top floor."

I climb up the stairs very slowly as it's rickety from the heat. I get to a door that's partially open, I pry it open and I yell "IS ANYONE HERE!?"

I hear crying, I go over, I see a kid and he's crying in fear. I pick the kid up, I try to leave but the flames pick up. I hear a hiss... gas! I run to the window, I jump shoulder first going through the window, an explosion of flames follows but we escape it, I crash on a deployed air bag, I get up and a woman comes up to me.

The woman says "Is that my boy?" with tears.

I hold out the boy to her and I say "Yes ma'am, other then some soot he's fine."

The woman takes the kid and she says "Thank you, your a brave young man." with a smile.

I say "No thanks are necessary, just glad to help." and I take of my helmet with a smile.

Krystal comes up to me and she says "Are you okay?" as she looks me over.

I say "I'm okay, no injuries." still smiling.

After a bit of time of wiping the soot and ash from my suit, Krystal and I head to the tech expo. We enter and explore, the technology is amazing, high output energy system drive units, energy weapons, prototype cloaking technology, prototype exo suits and just so much more.

We come to this display labeled 'The Creation Machine' the guy says "Come on up, take a look at this device. It'll make anything you want and no matter what it is, it's yours."

I go up to him, needless to say I'm interested and I say "How's it work?" with a curious look.

The guy pulls out this box-thing that looks like a Wii with a blue visor on top of it and he says "Look into the visor, the machine will examine your thoughts and you'll get what you want." with a smile.

I think 'Now we are talkin.' with a curious smile.

I look into the visor and I decide to try to replace my armor and I think of something way outlandish. I feel my suit changing as my skin hums, at first it's really light then it becomes like the sound of swarming bees with this faint white glow and soon it stops.

I hear people gasp, I stop looking in the visor with Krystal looking me over. I look myself over and the ODST suit has been replaced with white metal plates with a type of black material underneath. This suit is a lot lighter and I feel more free to move.

Krystal says "You changed your suit?" as she blinks.

I say "Not only that, I upgraded." with a light smile.

Through mental thought pieces of the suit move, like the suits in Dead Space a helmet forms on my head, my hands clad in armor, my height even greater as a complex hud appears before my eyes. My eyes go to a mirror, my armor now resembles that of a sangheili ultra from Halo Reach, the main color as is white as enamel, the markings are cobalt blue with the eye lenses electric blue. I look my new suit over, the only real alteration to the suit is that the hands have four fingers and a thumb. I have the suit change back, after the plates stop moving Krystal comes up to me.

Krystal says "You sure know how to make a display."

I say "I needed a more... flexible suit. I never was much of a fan of those O.D.S.T. suits."

Krystal says "So what kind of suit is this?" with a curious look.

I glance around, I see that I have everyone's attention, I look at Krystal and I say "This is a sangheili combat harness ultra-type that's modified for use with my body with some added stuff."

Krystal's eyes snap left, she says "Get down!" and she tackles me as a gunshot bangs.

From the floor I glance around as the crowd scatters, armed gunmen have stormed the place and they match the guys who attacked my craft before I was on the Great Fox. I look to Krystal who has a pistol drawn, the way she looks is that of a fighter, no doubt about it but we're completely surrounded.

I decide to act, I quickly sprint as I get up, my armor plates move to the suits full dimensions as I have the suits personal energy shield activate, the gunman I'm charging towards takes aim at me, his weapons begins to blaze with roars of a machine gun, the shields easily absorb and deflect the bullets as I go through the storm of them. I grab the armed man with my right hand around his neck, I lift him with ease and toss him like a rag doll into a solid metal wall. I look to the other gunmen, the plating on both my gauntlets shifts as I face them, the left gauntlet becomes a type-25 plasma rifle and the right activates, revealing it to be a type-1 energy sword. The remaining gunmen take aim as I charge, my plasma rifle firing it's super heated gas. Two of them are hit by plasma fire, the two fall as plasma burns through their armor and their flesh incinerated. As for the third, he becomes impaled by my dual-bladed energy weapon through his chest, he looks to me and I headbutt him helmet-to-helmet which shatters it's face and he crashes to the ground.

Krystal comes up to me and she says "Adam, that was incredible!" with amazement.

I say "Now you know why I upgraded, to be more effective not to mention I prefer Covenant technology."

Krystal says "Either way, it looks like the forces of Venom want you, I need to get you out of here."

I nod and I say "Lead the way."

I deactivate my weapons, becoming stored in my gauntlets as we exit the expo and while my suit retracts in height, my helmet and hand plates retract into the suit as Pepper and the rest of Star Fox arrive.

Fox says "Are you two okay?"

Krystal says "We're fine Fox."

Pepper says "Adam? How did you get that suit?"

I say "It's a long story."

Krystal says "Adam duck!" with surprise.

I suddenly hear "For Venom!" as I duck, the gunman I tossed tries to hit me with the butt of his gun, I quickly have my plasma rifle emerge from my gauntlet and I unleash a quick burst. One of the shots hits his left leg while the others miss, the plasma hits his knee, the incredibly hot ionized gas instantly burns through, severing the leg at that point. The gunman crashes to the ground in pain as he holds his leg, the intense smell of burnt flesh floods my nose, I can feel my stomach churn as the scent becomes more intense, I resist the urge to gag as I quickly turn around to face Pepper and the others as I have my weapon retreat into it's gauntlet.

Fox comes up to me and he says "It's nice to see that training pay off."

Pepper comes up to me and he says "It seems that the forces of Venom are after you."

Falco says "No doubt for you killing their buddies."

I say "How did they get here? You guys have a fleet of powerful ships here."

Pepper says "Venom's force are crafty at things like this, they've invaded Corneria before but failed every time."

I hear "But we always come back!", I look to my left, the soldier that felt my energy sword comes stumbling towards me and he says "Andross maybe dead, but we still fight!"

Krystal steps forward and she says "What's the cause of this?"

The gunman points at me and he says "That thing! It killed my comrades!"

I say "They attacked me first, what I did was in defense."

The gunman says "No matter, with our leader we will rise again!"

Pepper says "Who's leading you?"

The gunman smiles, he says "Andrew Oikonny will lead us to a new age.", he looks to me, he says "And for you...", he shambles towards me, he says "Too bad I wont get to see you skinned alive!", he gasps loudly and he falls to the ground.

Krystal says "He's dead."

Fox says "Looks like Oikonny is up to his old schemes."

Pepper says "Indeed Fox."

I look at the two soldiers that had attacked us, I feel frozen in place, I make my way to the one who's still alive, I kneel as I look him over, I see his wound has been cauterized instantly from the plasma rifle and I say "He'll live." as I turn to everyone else.

Falco says "Looks like we gotta put that ape on ice."

Pepper says "Yes, he must be dealt with."

A thought comes to my mind, that I'm also a target now. I think of the Star Fox team, I am afraid of what may happen but it's something I want to do, to help them. I glance at Krystal who smiles and nods at me, no doubt sensing my thoughts.

I say "I would like to join Star Fox."

Krystal says "I second that. Adam could be a great asset and he's now a target."

Pepper looks at Fox and he says "It's your call Fox."

Fox puts on a thinking look, he salutes and says "Welcome to Star Fox."
