The Quickest Way to Catch a Pokémon Without Battling It
Evan couldn't believe it. Where was Bulbasaur when he needed him. He'd let his one and only Pokémon out to wander as he'd sat down to rest, but now their was a male Dragonite standing before him, ready to be caught, and his Bulbasaur was nowhere in sight. How was he going to catch two such powerful Pokémon without any Pokémon to battle them.
Fine, I'll just take it into my own hands.
Evan reached into his pocket and felt a great weight in his palm. He withdraw a Pokéball and looked at it. Oh, this was a special one, and it weighed a lot more than the average Pokéball.
Yeah, this would do.
The Dragonite stood their unfazed, like he didn't expect this to go well for Evan.
And that's where he was wrong.
With that, Evan hurled the Pokéball. It soared through the air. And before Dragonite could react, the Pokéball hit him.
Right where his legs connected.
The Dragonite's face contorted as it dropped to its knees, roaring in agony, its paws grasping at its injury.
And then the Pokéball opened, and the Dragonite was sucked inside with the pull of red energy.
Evan expected the Pokéball to blink, the Dragonite inside to fight back.
But the instant the Pokéball hit the ground, it winked out, going completely still.
Apparently, that hit had completely leveled the Dragonite.
In victory, Evan went to retrieve his Pokéball.
"I caught a Dragonite!"
And then their was a thump behind him.
Evan turned around to see another Dragonite watching him.
Evan withdraw another of those heavy Pokéballs from his pocket.
Alright, let's go!
And he hurled it.
But this Dragonite was a female.
The Pokéball bounced back to the ground, unopened. The Dragonite looked at it unfazed.
And then she picked up the Pokéball, and flew off with it into the sky.
Evan looked back down at the Pokéball still in his hand.
Oh well, at least I got one.
And that's when Bulbasaur decided to show up.
Even sighed.
Well, it's about time.
Evan decided to introduce Bulbasaur to his knew Pokémon.
But when he let him out, all Dragonite did was slump to the ground and continue moaning and writhing.
Evan looked back at the Pokéball.
Uh, maybe I should have given him a little more time in there to recover.
Bulbasaur just glared at Evan.
Like seriously?
