Battle Royale part 1
The boys were enjoying another well deserved vacation after months of paperwork, Tamati sat in the sun with Ammy while Fang and Fox worked at the grill preparing some burgers for the others, Krystal was lounging in the pool with Rebecca before hearing the phone ringing.
"Hello McCloud residents....yes commander...I understand thank you."
"What is it?"
"It's Falco. He, Katt and Slippy were sent to take care of a smuggling operation but they haven't reported back."
"Hmmm...Tamati?"
"Way ahead of you, you guys enjoy the barbecue."
Fang and Tamati never hesitated when it came to special ops missions. After a quick goodbye kiss to their famalies they packed up and headed out to the designated quadrant of the system where the base last located them, upon their arrival the boys saw nothing but a single train track and a barren wasteland as far as the eye could see and due to military reasons they were no longer allowed to wear their armor unless in an extreme combat situation.
"Well isn't this nice..."
"Signal beacon is coming from up north. let's go."
Hours went by as they walked in the scorching desert sun with nothing but a breeze and tumbleweeds to keep them company until Tamati spotted someone swaying in the distance. It was Katt, injured from a battle she had just escaped from thankfully Fang zipped over and brought her back for a cool drink after Tamati found a cliff where they could get some shade, once she was bandaged up she looked like she had just been through hell.
"Katt right? you were with Falco on this mission, what happened?"
"It...it was these four drones...they said they worked for someone named....uuhh egg something."
"Eggman?!?"
"Yeah...me and Falco were just suppose to sabotage a weapons smuggling operation, everything was going well until they ambushed us."
"Who?"
"I didn't see them. Falco told me to run while he held them off."
After calling a transport to take Katt back to Corneria Tamati and Fang headed to the smuggler base to find the place a smoldering wreck, it was like walking through hell itself as they walked by burning corpses with weapons raised looking at the place in shock.
"Who did this?"
"More like WHAT did this. see these holes? pulse cannons *peeks behind crate to see a familiar face* SLIPPY!!"
"T....Tamati...."
"FALCO!! oh man..."
Falco and Slippy had nearly been beaten senseless and had each received bullet wounds on the side but by the look of things it wasn't fatal as Fang took out the first aid and began patching them up as best he could.
"Don't tell me these smugglers did this to you."
"Nah come on...you know me us than that *cough!*"
"Didn't think so...what happened then?"
"It was...eggmans robots."
"WHAT?!? there's no way those things could do this! we even took on his elite machines and they still didn't have a chance against us!"
"But *cough!* these were different Fang...they knew how to counter our every move...they came at us so fast that I narrowly survived as you can see *GROAN!!*....good luck guys...be...careful..."
"Falco..."
The stress had caused him to pass out but the look of fear he had in his eyes was no lie and Slippy was also lucky enough to be alive, just as Tamati was about to activate his homing beacon a loud clank was heard followed by a sinister laughter.
"I should've known this was your handy work...Iron King."
"Hm hm hm Fang you crack me up...you boys should've been there when these drones tore those two apart."
"You're right...we SHOULD'VE been there!"
Tamti stepped forward with his guns loaded while Fang drew his sword with his back still facing them as the drones activated their weapons.
"Honosestly you two do you think it would've made a difference?"
"A big difference...cause you see when Falco and the others fight they make sure to hold back."
"But when WE fight *grips sword* we like to cut lose-EMPHASIS ON CUT!! EEEYAAAAGH!!!"
Fang and Tamati charged in, rage burning in their eyes while the Iron King stepped back to enjoy the show.
