Hugs and Kisses, ~Lash
It was the normal dreary night expected in the city, a large wolfen male prowled about the bar with a predatory grin. His eyes gazed slowly out across the patrons. Judging each and every one of them as though a piece of meat, glance catching perhaps two prospects... unsatisfied with any of them. That is until his scan of the room stopped at a momentary flash of bright orange - a delightfully bushy tail teasing the corner of his eye.
A male kitsune sat beside one of the simple round tables that were placed rather randomly about the dark area, a beer in his hand and a lonely look upon his face. Such a sight caused a rumbling growl to momentarily fill the wolfish male's throat... quickly suppressing it before making his approach, the once hungry grin now painted over with a concerned look of interest as he pulled up a chair. "Something on your mind friend?" a feigned voice of worry suddenly reaching the fox's ears, "I... what do you care?" the orange man looking up to see larger wolf a brow arching in surprise, "Well, forgive me if I intrude... but I cannot help but see you look a bit down, " casually gesturing to a waitress for shared round, "Have a drink on me.. tell me what's got that fluffy tail or yours tied in a knot".
After a moment of pause the fox gave a nod his paw moving to grasp one of the bottles as they were placed on the table, "My mate... for some reason . . ." as the story began the wolf's feral grin returned unnoticed by the distracted fox, pleased he had worked his way into at least the first level of the man's trust.
