Aftermath
Life goes on... Written 2016.
Greg walked into the apartment and knocked on the closet door. "Hey, are you ready to go?"
The door opened and the small genet morph came out pulling two suitcases, then went back in to get a cart.
"What's all this?"
"I'm ready to go."
Greg chuckled, "I meant to rehearsal."
"This is Tod's apartment. We can't stay here."
"Not anymore. I finally got ahold of the landlord. He's glad to be rid of Tod. He had too many complaints about him. He said we can take over the lease if we clear out Tod's stuff ourselves. The band is going to come by later to help."
"Doesn't he have a rule about no..."
"Absolutely not. There's a tiger morph upstairs and he says she's one of his best tenants."
"But what if Tod comes back? He'll be mad."
Greg laughed, "I don't think Tod'll be getting out any time soon, if ever, after he hit that police officer and tried to take her gun. And you better believe I'm going to make sure he doesn't come after you. I contacted every morph rights or defense group I could find and the ACLU and the news. They're going to make it a hate crime and he probably won't see daylight for the rest of his life."
"Oh." Ciji wondered if it was too harsh and just wanted to forget it all.
"Hey, while you've got your stuff packed, do you want to move into the bedroom?"
Ciji looked at the closet, it was small, but it worked and the big bedroom was Tod's "No. I'll stay."
"Okay. You can unpack later." He pushed the suitcases back into the closet, then grabbed the genet's cart and headed out. "You know, if you're not going to take the other bedroom, we should find another roommate. Do you know anybody that needs a place? Maybe a cute guy about your size wanting to move out of his mother's place?"
Ciji followed him down the hall and stairs and smiled, thinking about having Eric around and close by every day. "I can think of someone."
"Well, no more hanky panky on the couch. You'll have to take him to your closet."
"Greg?"
"Yeah?"
"Can we get a new couch?"
