Chapter 79: Finals Week (Conclusion)

Day 249 (continued)

Leaving Mysterious Falls Toby saw Devious use his ‘final’ attack before he himself was ‘touched’ by I who similarly attacked him. A final parting shot from the tan goat creature that so very much wanted to kill and devour both of them. What would happened next?

Story Eight: Flames In The Darkness Of Each Other's Worlds

_When Toby came to, he found himself back inside the main cave of the waterfall and the white crystal! _

“Wait! I thought we escaped from here!” The little were said looking around.

_“You did but we brought you back!” A wasp-creature said walking into the little bear’s field of vision. _

_Toby realized that he had been glued to the wall of the cave while the wasp-creatures were converging on him. _

“Let’s see how much he can take before he dies!” Another wasp-creature said very sinisterly.

The walking wasps repeatedly stung the were-bear on his paws, his legs, stomach, arms and neck. For Toby the pain was excruciating. His body started to swell like a ballon from his injuries. Bigger, bigger, bigger *pop!*

“AHH!!!” Toby screamed awakening from his fever induced dream. Groggily, he looked at his surroundings to find himself being studied by two shadows!

“He still is feverish.” One said to the other.

“Blindfold him and let him sleep it off.” The other said.

Toby slept for two nights straight. On the second night he awoke inside a familiar room that was well lit. He was no longer outside convulsing in pain from the goat creature’s parting attack. In fact the pain on his leg where the being had poisoned him was gone as well. These were clues.

The biggest clue then came slithering through the door of the room.

_“Mr. Surly!” Toby said upon seeing the naga. _

“How are you feeling?” The snake-creature asked.

“Alive!” The little bear said rising as he ran to hug and hug the snake-creature. Who was taken back by the little were’s display of affection.

“I warned you that the next time we met to approach me at your peril little bear.” The creature said to Toby.

“Last time we met I told you that I do not need enemies Mr. Surly I needed friends and I have decided that you are one of mine. You have just proved that.”

Surly grumbled at the little were-bear’s logic.

“Besides everyone needs friends. I wouldn’t be here if not for you and Devious. Say where is Devious?”

The snake was quiet as he looked at Toby.

“You didn’t did you?!” Toby said looking at the snake who just shook his rattle.

“No. Runt, I did not harm him. He showed up on my doorstep two nights ago carrying you. He said that the both of you were fleeing the Mysterious Falls area and you were poisoned by one of the dangerous creatures there. He pleaded with me to save your life saying he would do anything- absolutely anything because you were something very special, something very precious to him.”

“He did, did he?” Toby blushed.

“Yes. You are the best thing to happen to him in a long, long time.” The snake-creature said. “Even I can see that.”

“I have been teaching him the concept we mortals call friendship as well as how to start caring for something other than himself.”

“Impressive!” The snake said. “The Devious I knew would have cut his losses and left you to die. I take you two have become quite close.”

“Yes we have. So what did he agree to, to persuade you to save me?” The little were asked the middle-aged snake.

“He agreed to let me perform some tests on him to corroborate the findings I made when I studied you. I agreed.”

“Thank you for saving my life. Say how did you save my life?” Toby asked.

“I had to analyze and extensively test the toxin that was in your system in order to construct a cure for it. I also used my venom and my notes from your examination as a reference. It took some time, but I was successful, don’t you think?”

“Thank you my friend.” Toby said hugging the snake again.

“Don’t thank me too much, I require payment for my services.” The snake said breaking Toby’s embrace to stare down at him. “I spent a lot time- my research time helping you.”

“But, but I don’t have anything to offer!” Toby said staring at the naga.

“You don’t?” Surly asked the little bear. “What were you doing at Mysterious Falls?”

“Trying to elude some shadow-creatures who had been hunting us as well as trying to find a way out of this realm and back to my own.” The little were said to the snake.

“You know death walks that place.” The naga said.

“Boy does it ever, we were very lucky to get out with our lives.”

“Yes you were. What did you see while you were there?” Surly asked Toby.

“Many, many dangers and incredibly awesome forces.” Toby replied. “We were pursued and chased by many of them. The last being we encountered was some type of goat-creature that pursued us to the northern border of the area before it turned back.”

“Interesting.” The naga replied as he reached for a pad and started taking notes.

“I tried to engage the creature to convince it not to attack while it continued to move toward us. It wouldn’t be swayed. It said that it had not received its allotment of blood while its siblings did.”

“So the beings there are all related?”

“I concluded the same thing.” Toby said.

“Runt, I want you to tell me everything you and Devious did, everything you saw and everything you experienced while there.”

“Um, ok, but why?”

“I can add your accounts to the knowledge-base to increase my information on that area. Consider it your payment to me for saving your life. Otherwise I would have to poison you.” Surly said showing the little bear his fangs while he rattled his tail.

Toby nodded and told his ‘friend’ to get comfortable it was going to be a long story.

“So it was Deceit who gave you the lead eh?” The snake said.

“Yes. After I mated with her and Devious with his ex.”

“I was wondering why you both have paw prints on you posteriors.” The snake-creature said grinning.

“It is a ritual of the clan. It shows others in the tribe that we have mated to produce a new generation of warriors to take the place of those that have fallen making sure the tribe remains strong and the clans survives.” Toby said to the naga.

“Due tell.” Surly said.

“Initially Devious was against going to Mysterious Falls for any reason. So I was prepared to go on my own. I even walked out on him.”

“That was something dangerous and foolish boy.”

“Was it ever! I ran into five shadow-creatures who decided to hunt myself and Devious. They were relentless! We decided the only way to stop the hunters was to have them be hunted as well.”

“So you two went to the Mysterious Falls anyway.” The snake said still taking notes.

“Yes and the creatures there took care of our shadow problem.” Toby said as Devious entered the room.

“Those things are quite persistent.” The snake said.

“How are you feeling Runt?”

“Better.” Toby responded.

“Good because we are never ever doing that again. Do you understand me?!” Devious said to his little bear.

Toby nodded. “I agree, but I still have to find a way back home.”

“You have had quite the effect on him little bear. It seems like he is thinking about more than himself. I didn’t know that was possible!” Surly said.

“Mr. Surly I have a proposition for you.” Toby said suddenly. “What if Devious and I help you add to your knowledge-base?”

“I am listening.” The snake-creature said crossing his arms.

“While Devious and I search for a exit from this dark world, what would you say if we tell you of our discoveries and findings? We could be your explorers and you could document our findings thus adding to your information and aiding your research about the realm?”

“That is quite a proposal. What is in it for you?”

“You could offer Devious and myself a place to stay from time to time, your knowledge, wisdom, experience and most of all your friendship. What do you say?” Toby said hugging Surly again.

“Hmm...”

“Mr. Surly everyone needs friends. We need you, and you need us. It would be a perfect symbiotic relationship.”

“What is a symbiotic relationship?” Devious asked.

“A relationship that benefits each of us.” The little bear said to the adolescent were-creature.

_“Hmm....” The snake creature said still thinking. _

“He needs a deal closer.” Toby said to Devious.

“Very well. The Runt and I will provide you detailed information about our tribe, our customs (trying to stay alive), our culture (ways of staying alive), what we do for fun (try not to be killed and/or eaten- otherwise stay alive) and mating practices (how we got the markings on our posteriors).”

“Will you show me your final attack?” The snake-creature asked.

“But of course!” Devious responded happily.

_“Devious!” Toby said chastising his protector. “We don’t screw over our friends and allies. Remember? They are vital resources we will need if not in the present, then in the future.” _

“Deal.” Surly replied. “I also want every little detail you can think of about your clan. I also want pictures of the creatures you encountered at Mysterious Falls.”

“Ok.” The little bear replied. “However, I think before Devious does show you his final attack he probably will need to desensitize you just to be on the safe side.” The little bear snickered.

Surly brought his new errand boys to the main room in his lab.

“Do you have any object you can spare?” Devious asked the snake.

“Here use this.” Surly said handing the were-bear a spare flask.

Devious placed it on the lab table while Toby grabbed Surly and lead him to the far side of the room.

“You must stay far away from him when he executes his petrification attack.” Toby warned.

“Yes, yes, I know if even a little of his breath touches me...”

“Clear?” The were-creature asked.

“We are clear.” Surly said.

With that Devious took a deep breath and exhaled hard on the flask. Again there was a thumping noise as the glass object was turned to stone.

“Amazing!” Surly said examining the stone object. “How many in the clan possess that ability?”

“Not many. I just recently discovered I had that ability and have hid it from everyone including Deceit.”

“Why?” Toby began to ask.

“It is a secret I like to keep to myself Runt; a final attack I only use in a life or death situation.”

“Why?” Toby asked.

“Isn’t it obvious?” Surly said. “Because once it is done, it can’t be undone; that attack kills its target whomever it is.”

“There are a few exceptions though- myself and the goat creature.” The little bear added.

“That was because I desensitized you and as for that goat creature....” Devious said.

“From what you told me it sounds like it could change shape at will from solid to light and back again.” The naga surmised. “Making it quite dangerous.”

So for the next few nights Toby and Devious stayed with the middle-aged naga while he studied and documented his two representatives of the bear clan. When he had finished that, Surly extensively interviewed the two again as to what they had seen and experienced in Mysterious Falls. As a result, the naga was able to extensively add to his knowledge-base on those two subject areas alone. The next night he sent his errand boys out well, on an errand.

Toby and Devious found themselves traveling to the Dark Desert far to the east....

“This place has a very mysterious beauty all its own.” The little were said to his protector.

“Whatever, I still don’t like it here.” Devious said.

“Why is that?” Toby asked.

“Too cool, too dry and too desolate.”

“Well at least nothing is trying to hunt, maul, kill or eat us for a change.”

“Don’t let your guard down Runt. Unlike the Forest of Terror or Mysterious Falls, the dangers here aren’t that obvious, but they are still here.”

Toby nodded. “I think we should find shelter; it is getting cooler.” The little bear said.

“Agreed. We will resume the search for that naga’s plant tomorrow.”

_The two took shelter in the base of a hollowed out rock formation at the edge of the desert. _

“Doesn’t look like this belongs to anyone. I think we should be safe here Runt.” The adolescent were-creature said to his little bear.

“No. I think we should be below the ground. Far below the ground.” Toby said to his protector. “Like that pocket cave you took me to back in the Forest of Terror the night we met.”

So the two started digging. They managed to create a comfortable underground den just beneath the rock formation and not a moment too soon.

“What is that?” Toby said seeing a commotion off into the distance.

“A whirlwind?!” Devious said.

“It looks like one of your hidden dangers Devious.”

The adolescent were-bear nodded as he and Toby headed for the safety of their den. The two settled down for the night below the ground. While above them the dust devil ravaged the desert.

For some reason Toby had trouble sleeping that night. It had been more than a week since the two had escaped the Mysterious Falls area and now their travels had Toby thinking about the awesome forces and the deadly creatures the two had encountered there.

Sometime during the night as Toby tried to snuggle Devious he awoke to find that his ‘friend’ was gone. In his place was a tan goat creature slightly taller than Toby, hooved, short horns, matted fur and glowing eyes!

“I!” Toby said realizing who it was.

“Hello again!” The being said. “Still searching for a way out of this dark, dark world?”

Toby nodded as the creature approached him. “I told you there is no exit back to your world from this realm. Many come to my territory hoping to find there way out of this place. My kind prey on their foolishness and desperation.”

“You mean you feed off of them.” Toby said in an accusatory tone.

“Feed off them, relieve them from their misery- it is all the same. Ever since your visit I have been DYING to do the same. In fact it took a lot of soul searching to find you.”

_“What did you do to Devious?!” _

“He’s gone and finally you are mine. I told you I would kill you later!” The being said as he grabbed Toby.

“Please ‘I’ don’t do this!”

“I still want my allotment of blood little were.” The goat creature said to the terrified little bear. “I can’t wait to taste yours.”

Toby screamed as the goat’s lower extremities formed numerous paws to grasp the little bear holding him still.

“Please ‘I’ don’t do this!” Toby cried again.

“Shhhh.” I said to his prey. “But before you die I want to show you something.”

“What’s that?” Toby asked still unable to move.

“How we feed.” I said.

Toby watched the goat creature’s tan matted fur transform into many many many spikes which extended from its body into Toby’s impaling the little bear.

*HURK*

Toby began coughing up blood from his torn and ruptured organs. The tan goat-creature started licking it from the little bear’s mouth and lips.

“Your blood... so delicious!!!” The goat-creature said as it embraced Toby and started to drain him.

As Toby died he stared at the orgasmic face of the creature that had killed him. Especially those soulless glowing eyes.

_GASP!! _

Toby awoke with a start. Looking around the little were-bear realized that it had been a dream, a very disturbing dream. Even more disturbing than the lewd position Devious and he were sleeping in.

Toby discovered he was sleeping on the small of Devious’ back. The little were’s chest and tummy was resting on the adolescent were-creature’s magnificent hindquarters.

(Devious!) Toby thought to himself forgetting about his troubling dream. He was so very tempted to touch that butt in front of him. But he did.

It was so beautiful! The little bear grabbed two paws full before relenting and returning back to sleep on his protector’s back.

The next morning, which was really the next night (because there was no such things as mornings where they were) as the two were eating what they were able to find in the desert for breakfast...

“So you had bad dreams?” Devious asked.

“Yeah, I woke up a couple of times during the night.”

“What were they about?” Devious asked his little bear.

“I”.

“I”?

“I. You know that goat-creature thing that poisoned me while we were leaving Mysterious Falls. I dreamed he hunted me down and killed me. The dream was quite disturbing.”

“Don’t worry about it Runt. I and his brethren are confined to Mysterious Falls otherwise we would all be in trouble.”

“Devious what would have happened if you had fallen instead of me while we were fleeing from I?”

“I had been thinking about that too Runt. To be blunt I think we would have both perished. In your current state you would be no match for him.”

“What if I had a petrification attack like you?”

“I don’t think you ever will. Only true members of the clan can and not ‘converts’ can possess that attack and of them only a small, small portion of that group will ever have it.”

“Oh.” Toby said.

“Alternatively, since we are now Surly’s errand boys, I think you will need to learn how to defend yourself in other ways in case I ever become incapacitated.”

“What did you have in mind?”

“More training.”

“Well, we do get a lot of exercise running from things that are hunting us.” Toby admitted.

“Yes, but you must be able to hold your own; you need to work on your reflexes. At the very least we should wrestle.”

“You mean after you desensitize me to your petrification attack?”

“Yes Runt. It would help you improve your strength and coordination. Once you have that, we can move on to speed and agility.”

“Ugh, I don’t want to.” Toby admitted.

“It is necessary especially since we are traveling you must be prepared for anything. Especially sneak attacks!” Devious said as he lunged and pinned his little bear.

“Ugh, so we are beginning now are we?”

_“Yup.” Devious admitted as he kissed Toby. _

_And so Toby started training with his friend and protector. Over the next few weeks, Devious taught him how to wrestle, how to pin opponents and how to prevent from being pinned. Toby also started to notice that Devious’ front looked just as good as his rear. Those slender muscles, flat stomach, nice crotch with its adorable penis sheath and very soft balls. The hard existence in this realm did force the adolescent were-creature to stay in shape. _

Ultimately the two did find Surly’s plant but little else in the desert. No exit from the dark world at all and the two had searched long and hard. Was what Devious, Surly and I told him really true? Was there no escape from here?

Upon their arrival at the lab, the two found the naga involved in deep research- as usual.

“Surly!” Toby said approaching the middle aged snake.

“And where have the two of you been these last few nights? I had feared something finally got you.” The snake said perturbed.

“No we were just in the Dark Desert dodging whirlwinds, sandstorms and many other obstacles while looking for your plant.” Devious said placing it on the table.

“Good work you two!”

“So what is so special about this plant?” The little were asked the snake.

_“I believe it has significant healing properties. But...” _

“You need to conduct more research.” Devious and Toby said in unison.

“Have I become that predictable?”

The were-bears nodded.

“That reminds me, I have been going over the data you provided me from your trips to Mysterious Falls and Horrible Hill where you met the warrior from the lion clan.” The snake said.

“And?” Toby and Devious asked in unison.

“It has lead to some minor discoveries but mostly more questions. Questions that need to be answered which means....”

“More errands.” Devious stated.

“Precisely.” The naga said.

“Just as well, I am anxious to start traveling and exploring again.” The little were said.

_So the snake sent his errand beasts on an extended mission to explore the unexplored parts of the realm in order to procure some more items for him in the name of research. _

Toby and Devious traveled to the northeast to the Blood Death Gulch and the Endless Pain Plains searching and searching as well as encountering all types of dangers and hostile beings and creatures. Although they managed to find Surly’s items, the two ran into dead end and dead end and dead end looking for an exit from the dark world.

Toby started to believe that indeed he would spend the rest of his life in this dark place away from his friends and family.

“Quickly this way Runt!” Devious yelled.

“I can deal with malevolent shadow-creatures, meat eating plants, globs, unknowns and large nasty insects, but walking fish, trees and boulders?!”

“There are too many of them!” The adolescent were-creature said. “We have to hide!”

“But we are in the middle of the plains! There isn’t any place to hide!” Toby said to his ‘friend.’

“How about here?” The adolescent were-creature said pointing to an hole in the ground.

“That will do! Just the right size too.” Toby said.

The two quickly slid right in. The hole expanded into an underground 10‘x10‘x10 ‘room’. A secret chamber large enough for them to take shelter and hide from their attackers.

Toby and Devious listened to the commotion above them as the walking boulders, walking fish and walking trees rumbled by looking for them.

“We better stay here for a while.” Devious warned.

“Well that was a big bust. I was hoping that side trip would have lead to another possible exit from this place, bit it was yet another dead end.” The little were said as he crouched against the side of their room. “Tell me the truth Devious, there isn’t a way back to my realm from here is there?” The little were said wistfully.

“You told me the window you entered to get here said that there was not return from this place.” Devious said sitting down next to Toby.

“And every beast else told me there was no exit from here including you,Surly and even I.” Toby said.

“I know how it seems Runt. But it could be worse.” Devious said.

“I have been stranded in a nameless dark realm for weeks with dangerous, powerful beings and creatures that regularly hunt, maul, maim, kill and eat all they encounter making life here and utter hell. How could it be worse?!” Toby asked tearing up.

“You could be by yourself.” The adolescent were said trying to comfort Toby. “But you are not. You have me. I will always be here for you Runt.”

“Thank you. It means a lot to me.” Toby said as Devious hugged him.

“Well since we are going to be stuck here a while I guess now is as good a time as any.” The were-creature said to his little bear.

“For what?” Toby asked his ‘protector.’

_“My payment for my services.” _

“Devious, what are you talking about?”

“Remember our arrangement after you rescued me? I agreed to look after you, take care of you and teach you how to survive in this place.”

“Yeah and in exchange I taught you about true friendship, how to come out of yourself to be a friend and not to use or screw over others in the process- yes what about it?”

“That was only part of our deal. Remember no one does anything out of the kindness of their own heart here. We are just commodities to be used by others for their own purposes- in addition to teaching me about friendship you also agreed to be....”

“Your little bear.” Toby said remembering their conversation from weeks earlier. “But we are already buddies. Close buddies.”

“True Runt you and I are quite close and we have done everything together. Well JUST about everything together.” Devious said snuggling Toby.

“Okay.” Toby relented- he was too depressed to disagree while the adolescent were-bear continued to nuzzle him. “I will hold up my end of our agreement.”

_“Really?!” (He said yes! Oh how I have waited for this night!) Devious said as he moved from nuzzling to kissing his little were-bear on his neck, back, arms, the small of his back, his shoulders and finally his snout. _

Toby at first thought that Devious was desensitizing him to his petrification attack again but the kisses between the two were longer and more intimate. As they kissed, the adolescent were creature started massaging Toby’s shoulders before guiding him onto his paws and knees.

(Might as well do the rest.) The were-creature thought as he moved to the small of Toby’s back, the rest of his torso and the little bear’s hindquarters.

_Toby was loving the massage and the special treatment he was receiving. _

“So this was what you meant by me being your little bear?”

“Part of it.” Devious said cryptically as he continued to fondle Toby’s rump. “This is the other part of it!” The adolescent were-bear said as he licked two of his paw tips lifted Toby’s tail and gently jabbed at the little bear’s tail-hole.

_“Ack! Devious what was that for?” _

“The climax of our agreement Runt.” The were-creature said as he removed his paw tips from the little bear’s back passage and replaced them with his penis which had popped out of its sheath during their foreplay. “You and I have become very very close during our time together little bear. We have gone many places and done many things together except this. On this night Toby you and I will become closer than we have ever become before; you will truly be my little bear.” Devious said as he slowly and gently entered his little bear.

“Ummm...” Toby blurted as he was entered.

But it felt very nice like an extension of the safe and warm feeling he had felt being with the adolescent were-creature previously.

Toby stared at his boyfriend as he experienced a total moment of clarity. Deceit was right! He did belong to Devious and had been for some time. Why he didn’t detect that earlier he will never know.

“You identified me as your love interest from the very start didn’t you? That was why you kissed me the night we met!”

“Yes ever since that cute little tiger who survived the Forest of Terror wandered into our camp pleading for help. You impressed me as well as several others that night. When you sat on Rupture’s lap I thought you were the most adorable, helpless thing I had ever seen! I also remember after I kissed you, you kissed me back- repeatedly.”

“That was when I thought you were going to tear me in half.” Toby said blushing again.

“I would never do that to my Runt, my little bear.”

“I have said this before, your name really suits you- Devious.”

The two entertained each other for awhile more before falling asleep- Toby deciding to spoon Devious that evening (for obvious reasons) as they slept.

The next morning err, night...

“Did you sleep well Runt?” Devious said as he gently nuzzled Toby awake.

“As well as could be expected for someone who has a load of jizz in places he didn’t know he had.”

“Yes we are going to need to bathe before heading back to Surly.”

“I agree.” Toby said listening. “It sounds like the trees and boulders are gone.”

“They must have gotten tired of looking for us let’s get going.” Toby’s ‘protector’ said.

The two started the trip back to the Forrest of Terror and Surly’s lab stopping at a small pond the two deemed safe enough to bathe in. Devious took special care of his little were-bear making sure to wash him throughly. Toby did the same to Devious as well blushing all the way as he did.

“You seem to be awfully quiet Runt. Thinking about my ass again or is my groin or both?”

“Does it matter? They both are magnificent.” The little bear said without thinking. “Um, did I say that out loud?”

“Yes you did Runt.” Devious said responding. “By they way after last evening you and I can no longer be friends little bear.”

“Uh, why Devious?!” Toby asked confused.

“Because we are lovers. You are mine and I am yours.” The adolescent were said as he held Toby’s face and kissed him. “I will always be here for you Toby whether you make it back to your world or not.”

“Thank you. That means a lot.” Toby said blushing again.

“It also means what’s yours is mine and what mine is yours.” Devious said as he grabbed Toby’s paws and moved them about his body. “Including this, this, and especially this.”

Toby nearly let out a loud squee of glee as Devious moved the little were’s paws to touch his poster, tail and groin.

“I thought I was going to miss conveniences like showering very much. But on second thought, maybe not.” Toby said as he kissed his boyfriend. “Devious, if I ever am able to leave this dark world. You are coming with me.”

“Well, we better get this fang, branch and stone back to that snake.” Devious said.

“All that traveling for these?” Toby said as he picked up Surly’s items. “Hey what is that on the far side of the pond?”

_“What is what?” The adolescent were-creature said turning to look at what his little bear was starring at. _

_“That!” Toby said as he exited the pond to look at what was on the far shore. _

It was a figure a small one. As they approached they realized that it was a young boar lying on the ground next to the pond face down.

“It is another mortal- a poor unlucky soul got sucked in here just like you!” Devious said rolling him over.

“He is still breathing.” Toby gasped.

“What’s wrong Runt?”

_“Devious, I know him! We were playing the day I got sucked into here- that is Trent!” _

Story Eight Ended

(Well, that brought everything full circle didn’t it?)

Toby realized that Devious had him pegged as his boyfriend from the VERY start which explained quite, quite a lot actually. I was anxious for more, but realized that I would have to wait next to forever for another update. Looking at the book’s update history, it seemed like the author was only updating his work twice a year.

(Man, that is annoying.)

“So this where you snuck off to pet.” I heard a familiar voice say as my mistress joined me on the roof of the castle.

“Mistress!”

“I heard you passed your final exam. I am very very proud of you Alex.” Lady Ursa said sitting down next to me. “Catching up on your reading?”

“Decompressing after a difficult exam.” I said.

“Well being bilingual is going to open up so many things for you on this world.” My bear knight said beaming with pride. “So what are you going to do with this?” She asked handing me my PDA. “It is now obsolete.”

“Not exactly mistress. It is a good communicator and also has that panic button on it for when missions turn sideways. I am definitely holding on to it.” I said grabbing her paw. “Speaking of communication, could you please tell me about what had you so disturbed this morning?”

“Well, yes I guess I can now.” My she beast said. “Someone is threatening to destroy Counter Earth Cosmetics.” Lady Ursa said reading my face.

“You mean that company that rose from the ashes of Beastial Beauties?”

“Yes pet look at this.” She said showing me her communicator.

I read the message on it:

To the concerned. It is my intension to eviscerate Beastial Beauties, a heinous evil company that has intentionally caused much misery, pain and suffering of so many humans on this world. It shall be an example to all who abuse the helpless, the misfortunate and the powerless. You have been warned- N.

“Who is N? Does that person know that company doesn’t exist anymore?” I said to my she beast.

“The threat was made yesterday. I don’t ‘N’ is making any distinction between either company.” My bear knight said to me.

“Could it be one of the former lab animals that ‘worked’ there?”

“That was why I shielded you from this. I knew you had just recovered from what happened to you there.” Lady Ursa said taking my hand. “We are not ruling anything out and the company is taking the threats quite seriously. In fact the knights are starting surveillance.”

“You could do that mistress, but what if the threat is internal instead of external?”

“You have a better idea pet?”

I thought about it for a minute.

(Why not?)

My academic adventures were over as were my literary adventures for the time being. Why not another mission? At the very least it would allow me to see if Counter Earth Cosmetics was any better than Beastial Beauties.

“Yes mistress I do. I want to assist you and the knights on this mission.”
