What Colors Are You Feeling? - large poem
I was in the mood to write a more up beat poem. I also wanted to write a poem that may give others a different perspective of themselves and the world around them. This poem was written in 10-12 hours and was finished on 5/25/2016.
Written by me, Fane Star.
There are many colors and emotions.
Have you ever paired the two?
Describe your emotions in color.
Any shade will do.
Are you red with love?
Red for someone special.
Is there a burning anger
Painted deep within?
All the different shades blue,
But which one matches you?
Bright blue can be calming.
Dark blues for down moods.
Grey is for the bored ones.
The sick and the dead.
It will banish color.
No good comes from grey.
If you're feeling chipper,
Then maybe you're feeling yellow.
Yellow for a good day
Glowing bright like the sun.
Orange is a curious color.
Full of anxiety and full of stress.
With hints of strength and hints of cheer.
How will orange accentuate you?
Strong, calm, protective.
The color that absorbs all.
Let it outline your colors.
Black is perfect for your mood.
You may be afflicted with green
If you're feeling sick, with envy or desire.
It's presence signifies health.
The color full of life.
Is pink creeping across your cheeks?
Let it take its form.
Let it be full of passion.
Allow it to change shades and grow.
Regardless of what colors, are present in your mood,
Never feel fear and let your colors shine.
Don't be ashamed of the colors that you bear.
You never know what colors other people will wear.
