It was a cold winter day, the bitter winds blowing through the streets. Most people were holed up in their homes celebrating Christmas, and most stores and shops were closed so that everyone could enjoy the holidays. There were still a few areas that still had his doors opened, with one of them being a small cafe that was on the corner. The draconic sabrewolf sitting behind the counter was mostly staring at his laptop that he sat on, occasionally looking up at the snow that swirled outside as the jukebox played his music. There was no real expectation of anyone coming in; since he lived in the loft above, it didn't pay him much mind to come down and put the lights on. There were also a few treats and baked goods that he had made up in case there were customers that would come in, and if anything it was something for him to nibble on. For most of the day that was exactly how it went, though as he thought about doing some cleaning, he heard the bell above the door ding. When Serathin looked up from his screen he saw a bundled up creature make their way in, forcing the door closed as the wind attempted to keep it open. "Hey Serathin," the werewolf underneath the thick layers said as he took off his coat, the man wearing the usual green apron that had the Sabrewolf Cafe logo on it. "Man, have you been outside? Weather is crazy." "Seth, what are you doing here?" Serathin asked as he watched the other man brush the snow off of his thick fur. "I told you that you didn't have to come in today." "You did?" Seth asked, Serathin rolling his eyes as he watched the werewolf dig into his pockets and find his phone to check the screen. "Yeah, it's Christmas dude," Serathin replied, seeing the realization in Seth's eyes when he saw the message he had sent that morning. "Plus it's been snowing all day, I don't think you're going to have to worry about customers coming in. If you still want to make something, feel free." "Thanks boss," Seth said as he made his way back towards the kitchen. "Don't call me boss," Serathin retorted, though as he looked up from his screen again he saw that the other man had already disappeared into the back room as he sighed. "We're the same person..." The draconic sabrewolf just shook his head and went back to his screen to write, but fifteen minutes later the bell rang once more. When he looked up he found another werewolf looking right at him, this one not related to him in any way. "Hey Rakan," Serathin said as he closed the writing app that he had been using. "What brings you out here in this weather?" "Oh, you know how it is," Rakan replied as he sat down on the counter. "Have thick fur, will travel. Are there any muffins ready?" Serathin nodded and went over to get the werewolf his usual coffee and one of the baked goods that he had made. Though it meant no longer working on his other project, the draconic sabrewolf did find it nice to have people that were in the building with him. He could hear Seth whistling to himself as he made even more treats that he would likely end up eating himself, which the hybrid reminded himself he would make up by cleaning the back booth and entertainment area of the cafe. For Rakan it was an interaction with an actual customer as he set baked good and cup down before pouring him a cup. As Serathin struck up a conversation with Rakan they both stopped when Seth poked his head out of the door to see what was going on. When the draconic sabrewolf looked back he could see that the other werewolf's eyes had lit up, and though it was hidden behind the other side of the door frame he knew that his tail was wagging. In the next second he had to nearly dodge out of the way as Seth came up so fast that it blew several of the counter menus off of the polished surface. Though he had been talking to the other man, he knew that once Seth had fixated on something that it wouldn't do to pry into the conversation... as long as he didn't forget about whatever he had started cooking. It was more excitement than what Serathin had expected, and as he went over to change the Aviators song that was playing and to give the two some space. Things were starting to get festive, and it prompted him to go over and turn on the lights for the Christmas tree and that bordered the area. Just as he turned them on there was another jingling of the bell that had caused him to look up, this time seeing a smaller lizardfolk make their way inside. That was even more surprising then the thickly furred creatures that had come in already, though being partially scaly himself made him susceptible to the cold, though he didn't mind that as he went over. "Welcome to the Sabrewolf Cafe," Serathin said as he went back over to the counter where the two werewolves were continuing to talk. "Is there anything that I can get you? I'm Serathin, by the way." "I actually just stopped inside because the bus lines got shut down due to the snows," the lizard man said as he shook the snow off his coat before taking it off and revealing the green scales underneath. "Whole city seems to be shutting down, at least until they can get everything plowed away. Name's Kosjir." "Well, feel free to stay as long as you'd like," Serathin stated as he pointed to the baked goods. "If you are hungry or thirsty we do have a few things ready, as well as coffee and cocoa." Kosjir nodded and thanked Serathin before looking up at the television that was playing Christmas movies that the hybrid had been watching before the others had walked in. Things were starting to get pretty busy, he mused, and as the time passed they were joined by two others that had come in from the cold. One was a husky that he had seen before named Chaos, whom had immediately grabbed one of the pastries that had been prepared. The other was a gator who introduced himself as Goryu, whom had settled into one of the nearby booths to rest his feet after having been caught in the same situation as Kosjir. With it being Christmas it didn't take long before it started to get dark outside, the flurries being highlighted by the streetlights that had turned on outside. Though he could have done it himself, Serathin was grateful that Seth was there to help with the kitchen as everyone got settled in while waiting for the storm to end. It also gave the hybrid a chance to get to know all the others that had found the Sabrewolf Cafe, and as they went over to the entertainment area to play video games they chatted about mutual interests. When one topic in particular came up, it had given Serathin an idea that prompted him to head back into the kitchen. Seth had finished making food for the moment, which allowed him free reign to do what he wanted as Serathin started to create something of his own. He took out a key and unlocked a specialized cupboard in the back, one that used special ingredients that he normally wouldn't disperse to the public. With it being unlikely that anyone else would be coming into the cafe, and everyone expressing interest, he knew what would be a great way to ring in the holidays as he took out a crystal vial filled with a brown liquid. Once he had what he was looking for, Serathin immediately locked it all back up and went over to the drink prep station to get everything started... Everyone else was either focused on the game that was being played or conversing with Seth as the owner worked behind the scene. In the background the weather continued to report that the snows wouldn't let up until well into the night, which meant that those inside would have to wait until the blizzard abated before they could go home. The werewolf barista informed them that they could probably stay as long as they liked, and as several were looking at potentially getting more food, the door to the kitchen opened and Serathin came out with several mugs. Everyone's eyes lit up when they saw the prepared mugs of hot cocoa, the smell of chocolate and cinnamon wafting into the air as the draconic sabrewolf handed the tray to Seth to pass them out. Though the cold outside had mostly left those that had taken refuge, all of them were more than happy to take a mug. Rakan's muzzle already had a dollop of the whipped cream on his muzzle before he licked it off as the others grabbed their cups. Several commented on how good it smelled as everyone got one, even Seth and Serathin as the tray was set down on the counter. Once everyone was ready Serathin shared a toast to everyone having a wonderful holiday, the others cheering in agreement before taking a big sip. "Ohhh, that's nice," Chaos said as he looked at the cocoa while the others took another drink. "Yeah, very rich," Kosjir added in. "The cinnamon is a nice touch, and do I detect a hint of maple syrup?" "That you would," Serathin exclaimed as he brushed the whipped cream off his own snout. "Something that I think would add a little extra festivity to the season while we wait for the weather to let up. Now if anyone needs anything make sure to let me or Seth know, otherwise if you don't mind I think we can help with bringing joy and good cheer to everyone." The others nodded and continued to play with the games that were provided in the small arcade area, and as Serathin sat at the counter he just watched with a smirk on his face. The concoction that he had used was rather diluted, but considering that they had quite a bit of time before the storm let up, he was in no hurry. It was nearly fifteen minutes before someone even noticed something was happening, Kosjir letting out a slight grunt as he took off his coat. The others had begun to follow suit as they talked about how that cocoa had really warmed them up, and though it wasn't as apparent to the already fluffy husky and werewolves, Serathin could see patches of green fur sprouting on the lizardman and gator's neck and back. But the sensations were still too subtle for anyone to really notice what had been done, at least until they had finished their last game and was deciding on what to play next. As Rakan went over to one of the booths where Seth had put out a jug of water for them he found his head starting to itch slightly, like there was a breeze blowing on it that he couldn't pinpoint. At first it was a slight irritation, but while it quickly subsided, it still felt slightly strange on the top of his head. As he brought up his fingers to press against his ear, it did seem like they were larger and slightly more floppy, but his thoughts were quickly interrupted by a startled yelp that came from Seth. Rakan was not the only werewolf that had been experiencing changes to his head, as everyone looked over they saw that Seth was pressing his fingers against a small pair of nubs that had pushed up near his own ears. "I figured that since we're all snowed in, we may as well have forms that would appreciate such a thing," Serathin exclaimed suddenly, giggling as others turned to see him scratching his swelling nose. "By the way, the recipe I got this concoction from is for a very specialized type of deer, so if you want to keep your clothing for the walk home you may want to lose them." "Is that why my pants are feeling so tight?" Goryu said, and as he sat back everyone staring at him had their eyes widening as they saw his already impressive bulge somehow growing even bigger, the tapered tip starting to flare out. "I thought I was just getting excited." "Growing more than just muscle," Chaos chuckled, then looked down at his own groin. The others looked at themselves as well, and while not everyone was fixated on what was between their legs, others were flexing their muscles as the husky took off his shirt and ran a hand down his rippling stomach. "Ohhh, now that is something..." The others quickly began to follow suit, especially as they realized that the fabric had grown taut around all their bodies while Seth sat next to Serathin. "You know, unless you want a bunch of naked guys around here," Seth said, continuing to press his fingers on the antlers that were growing out from his mostly canine skull. "You might want to think about getting something that others can put themselves in... unless you didn't think that far ahead." Serathin's grin suddenly fell as he realized he had not really thought about it, and as he watched the others stripping down he realized that the transforming werewolf was actually correct. Fortunately there was still some clothing that was left over from the other business that he had gotten the potion from, and though they were still a bit risque in nature, it was better than a bunch of guys with everything hanging out. While it was unlikely that anyone else would be coming in or passing by, this was still a cafe. The draconic sabrewolf quickly hopped off the counter stool and told Seth to keep everyone wrangled up, hearing the sound of clacking on the floor as he realized his toes were already merging into hooves. As Serathin ran into the back room, Seth turned to see the others finishing the clothing removal. When Kosjir and Goryu had taken off their pants they had the most drastic of changes that could be seen; their scales had been almost completely covered by fur that was similar in coloration. It was the same for the others that already had fur on them, it was growing thicker to the point it was pushing out of their normally fitting clothing. Even with the thick pelts on their bodies they could also see that their musculature had grown far bigger and more defined, the patrons looking on in awe at the growth. "Well, this was not what I expected when I came into the cafe today," Rakan said as he wiggled his toes, watching the toes merging together while hardening as well. "Although I suppose I should have." "So this is what having fur is like," Kosjir stated himself, marveling at the fur as he ran his fingers through it. "It's interesting that it's the same coloration of my scales. Feels really good too." "It feels amazing," Goryu chimed in with a chuckle, his already rather large creature striking a pose while watching his already decent physique getting bigger and more athletic. "I might be a returning customer at this rate, or at least find out what the hell was in that cocoa." As the others continued to also fawn over their new forms, they suddenly all lifted their heads as they heard the sound of bells jingling. As Seth also looked over while scratching his expanding muzzle, the canine turning to that of a reindeer while watching the kitchen doors swing open. The draconic sabrewolf had also undergone quite a few changes as well, more than the others as his antlers that were his horns bumped against the top of the kitchen door frame. It caused the others to snicker as the changing hybrid looked back accusingly at the metal overhang, then back at the others while continuing forward. The others made there way to the counter as they saw the sabretooth reindeer walk over and set the clothing he had found on the counter, though it looked more like leather straps with bells attached. "Uh... this is certainly... clothing," Chaos said as he walked around, his merging toes clopping while he looked over a set of bright blue that matched the lines on his thick fur. "I feel like this was for something a little more sexy." "Sexier then a bunch of buff naked reindeer men that are standing around this place?" The lizardman said, his head going from the clothing to his backside as he felt his spine compressing and his tail becoming short and fluffy. "It's what the others had left when they gave me the potion," Serathin retorted, taking the purple leather thong and sliding it up his thickening thighs to his groin. "Mmmm, seems pretty snug, but not bad. Go on, try them yourself." The others just gave each other a glance, but as Seth did the same thing and put on the harness, the others quickly moved forward to do the same thing. In a matter of minutes the naked reindeer were replaced with ones that had on tight-fitting bell harnesses on them, some even putting the additional cuffs that came with them. Goryu and Seth were the biggest of the bunch, the green and brown reindeer flexing once more as the antlers finished growing out of their head. While Chaos and Kosjir had not gotten quite as huge, they still had developed a significant amount of muscle as the husky and lizardman finished putting on their thongs. "Well, we definitely look like some sort of Christmas advertisement for a strip club," Rakan said with a chuckle, his tail retaining quite a bit of the length while the others had shrunk to sizes similar to their new species. "What now?" "Well, with these new bodies and the storm letting up, you could all probably get back to where you need," Serathin chimed in as he leaned against the counter, his saber teeth still visible despite the rest of him becoming a purple and black reindeer. "However... as Rakan had said, having a bunch of studly reindeer men would be quite the advertisement for the Cafe, and with a little social media engineering we could get some people in here to celebrate the holidays. If you guys want, of course, and I'll be sure to compensate you for your efforts..." The others contemplated the offer, Serathin could tell from the grins growing on their faces that the cafe was about to have a very merry Christmas indeed...
